Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture electrodeposition grinders, where abrasive grains make eutectoid uniformly and at constant rate, by adding glycerine into an electolytic plating bath of nickel and copper, raising the specific gravity and viscosity of the bath and thereby preventing deposition of abrasive grains. CONSTITUTION:Hard inorganic abrasive grains are dispersed uniformly in an electrolytic plating bath of nickel and copper added with glycerine and the metal and abrasive grains are deposited simultaneously on a base metal placed on the negative pole. The material for the abrasive grains mentioned above shall be selected among diamond, alumina, silundum, silicon nitride and boron nitride. According to this arrangement, eutectoid quantity of abrasive grains will be controllable and the eutectoid can be made evenly.
