Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove a residual jitter component contained in a color signal, by detecting a jitter component contained in a video signal by both a phase error detecting method using a horizontal synchronizing signal and a phase error detecting method using a chrominance subcarrier signal. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal synchronizing signal separated from a video signal containing a jitter component, by a horizontal synchronizing signal separator 3 is inputted to a phase comparator 5 together with a reference signal through a sampling pulse generator 4. A burst signal separated from a video signal of an output of a CCD 2 by a burst signal separator 10 is inputted to a phase comparator 12 together with a reference chrominance subcarrier through a sampling pulse generator 11, and also is inputted to a low-pass filter 15. An output of the phase comparator 5 and an output of the low-pass filter 15 are added, are inputted to a voltage control oscillator 9, and generate a clock pulse to the CCD 2. In this way, a residual jitter component in a color signal is removed.
