Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an industrial germicide, containing a dibromoalcohol compound and 3,3,4,4-tetrachlorotetrahydrothiophene-1,1-dioxide, suitable for sterilizing water systems for producing paper pulp and having synergistically improved effects. CONSTITUTION:An industrial germicide, containing a compound expressed by the formula (R is H, alkyl, etc.) and 3,3,4,4-tetrachlorotetrahydrothiophene-1,1- dioxide at 1:5-5:1 weight ratio. This germicide is capable of exhibiting excellent germicidal effects which cannot be predicted at all for constituent individual ingredients and having a wide application range regardless of the kinds of molds, bacteria, yeasts, etc., which are noxious microorganisms. The afore- mentioned germicide is used in the form, such as aqueous solution, solvent solution or emulsified dispersion. The amount thereof added in use is 0.01-100ppm in the case of water systems for producing paper pulp, and 1-500ppm for water-color coatings, pastes, leathers, etc.

工業用水系において好適に使用される。
