また、上記目的を達成する画像診断用カテーテルは、先端に信号送受信部が設けられた回転可能な駆動シャフトと、前記駆動シャフトが挿入され軸方向に延在するシースと、前記シースの内部に設けられ、前記駆動シャフトの剛性を先端側より基端側において高くする剛性変化部と、を有する。前記駆動シャフトは、可撓性を備える管体と、前記管体の内部に挿通された光ファイバケーブルと、を有する。前記剛性変化部は、前記光ファイバケーブルの外周を被覆するように配置される。

- 先端に信号送受信部が設けられた回転可能な駆動シャフトと、
前記駆動シャフトが挿入され軸方向に延在するシースと、
前記シースの内部に設けられ、前記駆動シャフトの剛性を先端側より基端側において高くする剛性変化部と、を有し、
前記駆動シャフトは、
可撓性を備える管体と、
前記管体の内部に挿通された電気信号ケーブルと、を有し、
前記剛性変化部は、前記電気信号ケーブルが埋められるとともに前記管体の内腔を埋めるように配置される軸部を備える画像診断用カテーテル。 - 先端に信号送受信部が設けられた回転可能な駆動シャフトと、
前記駆動シャフトが挿入され軸方向に延在するシースと、
前記シースの内部に設けられ、前記駆動シャフトの剛性を先端側より基端側において高くする剛性変化部と、を有し、

前記剛性変化部は、前記光ファイバケーブルの外周を被覆するように配置される画像診断用カテーテル。 - 前記剛性変化部は、前記駆動シャフトの先端に対して所定の距離だけ基端側に離間した位置から基端側に向けて配置される請求項1または2に記載の画像診断用カテーテル。
- 前記剛性変化部は、前記軸方向に延在して設けられる請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の画像診断用カテーテル。
- 前記剛性変化部は、先端に設けられ先細り形状のテーパ部を備える請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の画像診断用カテーテル。
