Abstract
467,339. Bottles &c. IRELAND, W. F. Nov. 16, 1936, No. 31738/35. [Class 125 (i)] A pouring device for a milk bottle, vacuum flask or other receptacle consists of a cylindrical or partly cylindrical member A, Fig. 1, tapering downwardly so that it can be wedged into the mouth of the receptacle. It may be of paper, celluloid or thin metal yielding to pressure so as not to injure the bottle. The pourer has a lip a and a cover C. In a modification, Fig. 4, the pourer is discontinuous at a<1>. In another modification, Fig. 6, the pourer has inturned edges a<2> flanged inwards 'to prevent overlapping. In another modification the pourer is of celluloid or other flexible material, with overlapping edges similarly joined. In the case of a vacuum flask, Fig. 13, the pourer A may be opened out and placed round a cork E. In another modification Fig. 14, the pourer has a bottom G with one or two perforations g. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 247,821, 260,562, and 282,571, [all in Class 125 (i)].
