Abstract

Radar equipment especially designed for the detection and precise location of moving targets, allowing efficient performance of monitoring and observation missions, which is characterised in that it comprises three main units corresponding to a transmitter/receiver/antenna (aerial) unit, a processor/servo unit and a presentation and control unit. The transmitter/receiver/antenna unit is configured as an antenna consisting of a folding reflector and a sealed horn feed mounted on a casing which contains the modules forming the transmitter and the receiver. The processor/servo unit consists of two functional blocks corresponding to a radar signal processor and servos for moving the antenna. The presentation and control unit is composed of a presentation screen of electroluminescent type, a keyboard for the control of the radar and for inputting data, and a printed-circuit board which incorporates all the necessary electronics for carrying out the functions of this unit (Fig. 1).
