Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain which are highly reliable on the whole for car-crash prevention, by changing the processing method for data corresponding to a ratio in number of effective data to all radar pulse transmitter circuits. CONSTITUTION:The output of gun oscillator 5 is emitted from antenna 1, and the Doppler demodulation output of a reception wave reflected from a target is detected 9 and supplied to relative-speed measurement circuit 11. Then, effective-data- number counting circuit 16 counts the distance-measurement pulse output from detector 9, and signal processing circuit 13 compensates relative-speed information from circuit 11 and distance information from distance measurement circuit 12 by using the number of effective data. In this case, measurement information is compensated and selected corresponding to relations of N>=T/2, T/2>N>=T/8 and N<T/8 between number T of pulse transmitter circuits and number N of effective data, thereby making appropriate compensating calculation possible.
