Some embodiments of the present application will be described in detail below by taking this system as an example.
Referring to fig. 2, the present application provides a method for providing associated book information. The method comprises the following steps:
the user equipment sends the book information recommendation request to the network equipment in response to the detection of the reading exit operation of the user in the current reading interface;
the network equipment determines book information of at least one electronic book based on the book information recommendation request and generates associated book information, wherein the associated book information comprises the book information;

and the user equipment receives the associated book information and displays the book information of at least one electronic book in an overlapping manner in the current reading interface.
The following description is made in terms of user equipment and network equipment, respectively.
Aspects of user equipment
According to one aspect of the present application, a method for providing associated book information is provided. The method is applied to the user equipment, and referring to fig. 3, it includes step S110, step S120 and step S130. In step S110, the user device 100 sends the book information recommendation request to the network device in response to detecting a reading exit operation of the user in the current reading interface; in step S120, the user equipment 100 receives associated book information returned by the network device based on the book information recommendation request, where the associated book information includes book information of at least one electronic book; in step S130, the user equipment 100 presents the book information of at least one electronic book in the current reading interface.
Specifically, in step S110, the user device 100 sends the book information recommendation request to the network device in response to detecting a reading exit operation of the user in the current reading interface. For example, the current reading interface is used to present the content of an electronic book that the user is currently reading, and the user device optionally provides the functions of page turning, page setting, and the like under the interface. The user presses a physical key on the user device or activates a touch key provided by the user device (e.g., the touch key is activated by a click or by a swipe gesture), wherein in some embodiments the touch key is provided on the current reading interface, e.g., the touch key is a virtual key presented on the current reading interface. When detecting the corresponding logout operation, the user device 100 generates and sends a book information recommendation request for requesting information of an electronic book recommended to the user from the server to the network device. In some embodiments, the book information recommendation request is generated in real time based on a reading quit operation of the user, so that real-time book recommendation is realized according to a specific situation when the user quits reading.
In step S120, the user equipment 100 receives associated book information returned by the network device based on the book information recommendation request, where the associated book information includes book information of at least one electronic book. The associated book information is, in some embodiments, information of an electronic book related to the user (e.g., an electronic book that may be of interest to the user) or information of an electronic book related to an electronic book that the user reads before performing the reading exit operation (e.g., information of an electronic book of the same/different classification, the same/different subject, etc. as the electronic book). The associated book information may optionally include one or more of book name, book author, publisher, version information, file size, cover or cover thumbnail, content introduction, price, etc., and those skilled in the art should understand that these information are only examples and not any limitation on the specific embodiment of the present application, and other existing or future information items, such as may be applicable to the present application as associated book information, are also included in the scope of the present application and are included by reference.
In step S130, the user equipment 100 presents book information of at least one electronic book in the current reading interface, for example, the electronic books are recommended to the user who quits reading the electronic book currently being read, so as to avoid the trouble of the user searching for other electronic books that may be of interest again, and improve the user experience.
In some embodiments, the above step S110 includes a sub-step S111 and a sub-step S112 (both not shown). In sub-step S111, the user device 100 generates a book information recommendation request in response to detecting a reading exit operation of the user in the current reading interface, where the book information recommendation request includes first identification information of the current book. Here, the "current book" refers to an electronic book that the user is reading before quitting reading. The first identification information of the current book is used for the network device to match and determine the electronic book with the same/different classification, same/different subject and the like with the current book in some embodiments. Subsequently, in sub-step S112, the user device 100 sends the book information recommendation request to a network device. Accordingly, in step S120, the user device 100 receives the associated book information returned by the network device based on the first identification information. In case the network device is provided with the first identification information of the current book, the network device may provide the user with the relevant other electronic books based on the current book precisely, for example, in case the user quits reading the current book, the electronic book with the same classification or subject as the current book is no longer recommended to the user, since the user is likely to be uninteresting in the current book.
In some embodiments, in the above sub-step S111, in response to detecting a reading exit operation of the user in the current reading interface, the user device 100 provides a collection prompt message to the user to remind the user to collect the current book before the user starts reading other books, so that the user can continue to read the currently read book later without repeatedly searching the currently read book; and then, generating a book information recommendation request in response to the detection of the collection canceling operation of the user, wherein the book information recommendation request comprises first identification information of the current book. Wherein in some embodiments the method further comprises step S140 (not shown). In step S140, the user device 100 generates a book information recommendation request in response to detecting a collection operation of the user, where the book information recommendation request includes first identification information of a current book; the network device 200 determines the book information recently collected by the user based on the first identification information, and determines the historical reading information of the user based on the book information recently collected by the user. The collection operation reflects that the user is interested in the current book, so that the first identification information contained in the book information recommendation request can be subsequently provided for the network device to provide the user with the electronic book related to the current book (for example, the electronic book with the same/different classification, the same/different subject matter and the like as the current book), so that the possibility that the user quickly finds the similar electronic book is improved, the operation efficiency of the user is improved, the system resources are saved, and the use experience of the user is improved. In other embodiments, the book information of the electronic book provided to the user is provided together with the collection prompt, thereby reducing the operation steps of the user and improving the operation efficiency. Specifically, in step S130, the user device 100 presents book information of at least one electronic book in the current reading interface, and provides collection prompt information to the user.
In some embodiments, the book information recommendation request further includes reading progress information of a current book, and in particular, in some embodiments, the reading progress information of the current book is obtained by the user device 100 immediately before the book information recommendation request is generated. For example, the reading progress information includes (but is not limited to) any one or several of the following items:
-the proportion of the content that the user has read to the content of the entire electronic book;
-the proportion of the content that the user has not read to the content of the entire electronic book;
-the number of words the user has read;
-the number of words that the user has not read;
-the accumulated reading time of the user reading the current book;
-the predicted remaining reading time for the user to finish reading the current book.
It should be understood that the above items are only examples and not limitations of the reading progress information in the present application. Based on the reading progress information, the system (or the network device) can provide a more accurate book recommendation result for the user, further improve the efficiency of recommending the electronic books which are interesting for the user, and avoid recommending the electronic books which are not interesting for the user. For example, the reading progress information reflects the degree of interest of the user in the current book, and the more the proportion of the parts of the user completing reading is, the more the user is interested in the current book, and the electronic book similar to the current book should be recommended to the user; conversely, the less the portion of the user that finishes reading, the less the user is interested in the current book, and the recommendation of such electronic books to the user should be reduced. By instantly acquiring the current book reading progress of the user and generating the book request, the system can obtain better real-time performance.
In some embodiments, the book information recommendation request includes annotation information of the user in the current book. Specifically, in step S100, the user device 100 generates a book information recommendation request in response to detecting a reading exit operation of the user in the current reading interface, where the book information recommendation request includes annotation information of the user in the current book. The network equipment determines book information of at least one electronic book based on the annotation information and provides associated book information to a user, wherein the associated book information comprises the book information of the at least one electronic book. Wherein the annotation information of the user includes (but is not limited to): a user selects/highlights sentences, paragraphs and the like in the current book; commenting on part of contents in the current book by a user; responses of the user to the comment contents of other users; and the like. Based on the annotation information of the user, the system (or the network device) can accurately determine the electronic books in which the user is interested (for example, based on the annotation content of the user, similar annotation contents of other users in other electronic books are matched, and then corresponding other electronic books are recommended to the user), or determine other readers having the same or similar reading habits as the user and further recommend the electronic books to the user.
In some embodiments, the step S130 includes a sub-step S131 and a sub-step S132 (both not shown). In sub-step S131, the user device 100 presents an information window in the current reading interface, the information window partially covering the current reading interface. This information window is also referred to as a "pop-window" in some cases. Referring to the user interface shown in fig. 4, the user interface provides a current reading interface for the user, and the contents of the current book read by the user are presented in the current reading interface. After the information window is presented, the current reading interface is partially covered by the information window, so that the user can read the related information of the electronic books recommended by the system from the information window and can continue to read and compare the contents of the electronic books currently being read. On this basis, step S130 further comprises in some embodiments a sub-step S133 (not shown). In sub-step S133, the user device 100 adjusts the coverage ratio of the information window in the current reading interface in response to detecting the window adjustment operation of the user. For example, the reading interface is presented on a touch screen of the user equipment, and the user drags the information window on the touch screen along the direction of a dotted arrow, so that the information window covers more ranges on the screen of the user equipment, and more recommended information of electronic books is provided for the user, and the utilization rate of the screen is improved.
In some embodiments, the information window further includes some promotion information (e.g., promotion information obtained based on matching of reading habits and the like of the user) in addition to the book information of the recommended electronic books, so as to provide relevant guidance for the user, so as to implement optimal configuration of resources. Accordingly, in the step S120, the user equipment 100 receives associated book information and promotion information returned by the network device based on the book information recommendation request, where the associated book information includes book information of at least one electronic book; in sub-step S132, the user equipment 100 presents the promotion information and the book information of at least one electronic book in the information window. In particular, in some embodiments, the promotion information includes promotion book information, for example, the promotion book information is determined based on electronic books that other users tend to read, collect, pay for purchase, and the like, so as to provide reading advice for the current user.
In various embodiments of the present application, the book information recommendation request sent to the network device optionally includes user identification information of a current user (for example, a user name, a user ID, and the like of the user in an application), and the network device may determine, based on the user identification information, a reading history, a reading preference, and the like of the user, so as to improve accuracy of recommending books for the user.
Aspects of network devices
Referring to fig. 5, according to an aspect of the present application, the present application further provides a method for providing associated book information, which is applied to a network device side. The method includes step S210, step S220, step S230, and step S240. In step S210, the network device 200 receives a book information recommendation request sent by the user device based on a reading exit operation of the user in the current reading interface; in step S220, the network device 200 determines book information of at least one electronic book based on the book information recommendation request; in step S230, the network device 200 generates associated book information, where the associated book information includes the book information; and in step S240, the network device sends the associated book information to the user device.
Specifically, in step S210, the network device 200 receives a book information recommendation request transmitted by the user device based on a reading exit operation of the user in the current reading interface. The book information recommendation request is used for requesting information of an electronic book recommended to a user from a server. In some embodiments, the book information recommendation request is generated in real time based on a reading quit operation of the user, so that real-time book recommendation is realized according to a specific situation when the user quits reading.
In step S220, the network device 200 determines book information of at least one electronic book based on the book information recommendation request. For example, the network device determines one or several of the following ebooks (but not limited thereto, by way of example only), and determines book information (e.g., covers, book names, summaries, etc.) of the ebooks:
the current web-wide reader (or readers of a certain group) reads the most of one or several ebooks;
current web-wide readers (or readers of a certain group) collect the most e-book or books;
-determining related ebooks based on the current user's relevant information (including but not limited to reading history, collection history, etc.);
determining a related ebook based on the ebook the current user is reading (the current book), e.g. other ebooks belonging to a different type or to a different subject matter than the current book.
Subsequently, in step S230, the network device 200 generates associated book information, which includes the book information; in step S240, the network device 200 sends the associated book information to the user device, so that the user device provides the book information of the related electronic book to the user.
In some embodiments, the book information recommendation request includes first identification information of a current book being read by the user. Here, the "current book" refers to an electronic book that the user is reading before quitting reading. In step S220, the network device 200 determines book information of at least one electronic book based on the first identification information. For example, the network device performs a matching operation according to the first identification information of the current book to determine other electronic books having the same/different classifications, the same/different subjects, and the like with the current book; the matching operation may be based on the book name, classification, subject, label (e.g., ratings from readers), rating (e.g., ratings from readers), on-shelf suggestions, etc. obtained from the query with the first identifying information. Wherein in some embodiments, the step S220 includes a sub-step S221 and a sub-step S222 (both not shown). In sub-step S221, the network device 200 determines reading preference information of the user based on the first identification information, for example, removing a keyword of a name of a current book, a summary keyword, a classification of the current book, a subject of the current book, a tag of the current book, etc. from the preference list of the user to update the reading preference information of the user; in sub-step S222, the network device determines book information of at least one electronic book based on the reading preference information, for example, the electronic book for recommendation to the user is matched according to the book name keyword, the abstract keyword, the book classification, the book subject, the book tag, and the like in the updated reading preference list. Thus, in case that the network device is provided with the first identification information of the current book, the network device may provide the user with the relevant other electronic books based on the current book precisely, for example, in case that the user quits reading the current book, the electronic book with the same classification or subject as the current book is not recommended to the user any more, because the user is likely not interested in the current book.
In some embodiments, in the sub-step S222, the network device 200 determines the book information of at least one electronic book based on the reading preference information and the profitability information of the at least one electronic book. For example, the electronic books recommended to the user include a promotion book determined based on the electronic books that other users tend to read, collect, pay for purchase, and the like, thereby providing reading advice to the current user. So as to provide relevant guidance for the user and thus achieve the optimal configuration of resources.
In some embodiments, the book information recommendation request further includes reading progress information of a current book, and in particular, in some embodiments, the reading progress information of the current book is obtained by the user device 100 immediately before the book information recommendation request is generated. Accordingly, in sub-step S221, the network device 200 determines reading preference information of the user based on the first identification information and the reading progress information. For example, the reading progress information includes (but is not limited to) any one or several of the following items:
-the proportion of the content that the user has read to the content of the entire ebook, wherein an ebook with a low content ratio that has been read will be determined as a user preferring not to read such a book anymore;
-the proportion of the content not yet read by the user to the content of the entire ebook, wherein an ebook with a high content not yet read will be determined as being prone to no longer be read by the user;
-the number of words that the user has read, wherein an electronic book having a lower number of words that has been read will be determined as a book that the user tends not to read anymore;
-a number of words not yet read by the user, wherein an electronic book with a higher number of words not yet read will be determined as a book that the user tends not to read anymore;
-the accumulated reading time for the user to read the current book, wherein an ebook having a shorter accumulated reading time will be determined as a user preferring to no longer read such a book;
-the user finishes reading the current book for the expected remaining reading time, wherein an ebook with a longer expected remaining reading time will be judged as being prone to no longer be read by the user.
It should be understood that the above items are only examples and not limitations of the reading progress information in the present application. Based on the reading progress information, the network equipment can provide a more accurate book recommendation result for the user, further improve the efficiency of recommending interesting electronic books to the user, and avoid recommending uninteresting electronic books to the user.
In some embodiments, to improve the processing efficiency of the system and reduce the data storage pressure, in step S220, the network device first determines second identification information of at least one electronic book based on the first identification information, for example, queries to determine at least one related (e.g., homogeneous or homogeneous) electronic book, wherein the mapping relationship between the electronic books is determined in advance in some embodiments; then, the corresponding book information is determined based on the second identification information, for example, the book information such as title, abstract, classification, etc. of the corresponding electronic book is determined based on the second identification information query, so as to provide the book information of the recommended electronic book to the user.
In some embodiments, the book information recommendation request includes annotation information of the user in the current book. Accordingly, in step S220, the network device 200 determines book information of at least one electronic book based on the annotation information. Wherein the annotation information of the user includes (but is not limited to): a user selects/highlights sentences, paragraphs and the like in the current book; commenting on part of contents in the current book by a user; responses of the user to the comment contents of other users; and the like. Based on the annotation information of the user, the network device may accurately determine the electronic book in which the user is interested (e.g., based on the annotation content of the user, match similar annotation contents of other users in other electronic books, and then recommend the corresponding other electronic books to the user), or determine other readers having the same or similar reading habits as the user and further recommend the electronic books to the user. In one embodiment, the network device determines similarity between the annotation information of the user in the current book and the annotation information of other users in other electronic books, and recommends the other electronic books to the current user if the similarity reaches a similarity threshold.
For example, in step S220, the network device 200 determines historical reading information of the user based on the user identification information, and then determines book information of at least one ebook based on the historical reading information to implement accurate recommendation of the ebook. Wherein the historical reading information comprises at least any one of the following:
-book information recently accessed by the user, e.g. book information of an electronic book recently read by the user;
