It will be further understood that the terms "comprises," "comprising," "includes," "including," "has," "having," and similar language, when used herein, specify the presence of stated features, regions, integers, steps, operations, elements, and/or components, but do not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, regions, integers, steps, operations, elements, components, and/or groups thereof.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a payment verification system 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The payment verification system 100 includes a cash register 110, a host device 120 and a transaction management device 130. The host device 120 is connected to the cash register 110, and the transaction management device 130 is connected to the host device 120.
To facilitate the description of the payment verification system 100 of the present invention, the following description is given by way of example. When the user wants to pay by a supermarket, the user presents a bar code for paying to the shop assistant (for example, through a bill of paper, through a screen of a mobile device, etc.). The clerk then uses the scanner of the checkout device 110 to scan the barcode provided by the user to generate transaction data regarding the fee. Next, the cash register device 110 transmits the generated transaction data to the host device 120 located in the superordinate central office. The host device 120 then transmits the transaction data to the transaction management device 130 of the payment unit for querying the payment status. The transaction management device 130 is used for receiving the transaction data transmitted by the host device 120 and determining validity of the transaction data (e.g., whether payment is completed or not, whether payment amount is correct, etc.).
When the transaction management device 130 determines that the transaction data is valid (e.g., not paid), the transaction management device 130 transmits transaction detail data (e.g., total payment amount) to the host device 120. The host device 120 then transmits the transaction details to the cashier device 110 operated by the clerk for display. Therefore, the user can know that the bill to be paid is not finished paying in real time, and can continue to pay.
On the contrary, when the transaction management device 130 determines that the transaction data is invalid (e.g. payment is completed), the transaction management device 130 transmits invalid information (e.g. non-chargeable information) to the host device 120. The host device 120 then transmits the invalid information to the cashier device 110 for display. Therefore, the store clerk can inform the user of the bill to be paid in real time without paying, thereby effectively avoiding the occurrence of wrong payment.
In one embodiment, the host device 120 and the transaction management device 130 of the payment unit transmit data via a special line of a Point of sale (POS) system.
Further, when the user completes the payment, the clerk can operate the cash register device 110 to transmit payment completion information to the host device 120 (e.g., the main machine room of the supermarket). The host device 120 then transmits the payment completion information to the transaction management device 130 of the payment unit. The transaction management device 130 records the transaction result of the transaction data (i.e. performs the account cancellation) according to the payment completion information, and transmits the transaction result of the transaction data to the host device 120. Then, the host device 120 transmits the transaction result to the cash register device 110 for display. Therefore, the clerk can inform the user that the payment is completed, that is, the user can confirm that the transaction is completed in real time.
For explaining the transaction management device of the payment unit, please refer to fig. 2. Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of a payment verification system 200 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The payment verification system 200 is substantially the same as the payment verification system 100 except that the transaction management device 230 includes a server 231 and a core management unit 232. The server 231 is connected to the host device 120 located at the supermarket terminal main room, and the server 231 is connected (e.g. via an intranet) to the core management unit 232 (e.g. the core system of the payment unit). For example, the core management unit 232 records the service application data and the related payment data of the user.
As described above, the user presents the barcode for payment to the clerk (e.g., through the bill payment form, through the screen of the mobile device 240, etc.), and the clerk scans the barcode provided by the user with the scanner of the cash register 110 to generate the transaction data related to the payment. Next, the cash register device 110 transmits the generated transaction data to the host device 120 located in the superordinate central office. The host device 120 then transmits the transaction data to the transaction management device 230 of the payment unit for querying the payment status.
Specifically, the server 231 of the transaction management device 230 is configured to receive the transaction data transmitted by the host device 120 and transmit the transaction data to the core management unit 232 (e.g., via an intranet). The core management unit 232 is configured to determine validity of the transaction data (e.g., whether payment is completed), and send back transaction detail data (e.g., total payment amount) or invalid information (e.g., non-chargeable information) to the server 231 in the same format of the transaction data. Then, after determining the validity of the transaction data, the server 231 may correspondingly transmit the transaction detail data (e.g. total amount paid) or the invalid information (e.g. information that can not be paid) to the host device 120 of the supermarket main machine room, and the host device 120 transmits the transaction detail data (e.g. total amount paid) or the invalid information (e.g. information that can not be paid) to the cash register 110 of the retail department. Therefore, the user can know the payment condition of the bill in real time.
In one embodiment, the data is transmitted between the host device 120 of the main machine room of the supermarket and the server 231 of the transaction management device 230 of the payment unit through a special line of a point of sale information (POS) system.
Further, in the case where the user displays the barcode using the screen of the mobile device 240 (e.g., a mobile phone, a tablet computer, etc.), the barcode may be generated via an application installed on the mobile device 240. Therefore, even if there is no bill for paying the bill, the user can pay the bill directly by displaying the bar code through the portable mobile device 240 without specially carrying the bill for paying the bill.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a payment verification method 300 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The payment verification method 300 has a plurality of steps S302 to S312, which can be applied to the payment verification systems 100 and 200 shown in fig. 1 and 2. However, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that the steps mentioned in the above embodiments, except for the specific order mentioned, can be performed simultaneously or partially simultaneously according to the actual requirement. The specific implementation is as described above, and will not be repeated here.
In step S302, the barcode is scanned by the cash register device to generate transaction data.
In step S304, the transaction data is received by connecting to the cash register device through the host device.
In step S306, the transaction data transmitted by the host device is received through the transaction management device, and in step S308, it is determined whether the transaction data is valid.
If the transaction data is valid, in step S310, the transaction detail data is transmitted to the host device through the transaction management device, so that the host device transmits the transaction detail data to the cash register device for displaying.
If the transaction data is invalid, in step S312, the transaction management device transmits invalid information to the host device so that the host device transmits the invalid information to the cash register device for displaying.
In a usage scenario, a user generates a barcode for paying a fee by using an application, and fig. 4A to 4D are schematic diagrams of the application according to an embodiment of the present invention. When the user logs in with the application, the mobile counter function may be selected, and the user may click on the payment service function, as shown in fig. 4A. Thus, the user can select the policy to be paid, as shown in FIG. 4B. The application program displays the amount of the premiums to be paid, the user can click on the amount block to display the detailed amount of the premiums, and the user can click on the content confirmation button after confirming that the detailed content is correct, as shown in fig. 4C. The application program displays the notice of the payment bar code, and after the user confirms the notice, the application program displays a bar code picture of the payment, so that the user can show the bar code to a reseller to pay, as shown in fig. 4D.
In summary, the present invention can query whether the transaction data is valid in real time when the user pays the fee by the supermerchant, so as to avoid the occurrence of the wrong fee payment. After the payment is finished, the transaction result in the transaction management device of the payment unit end can also be recorded in real time, and the transaction result is returned to the host device of the supermarket end in the same format and then is transmitted to the cash register device, so that a clerk can confirm the transaction result displayed by the cash register device and inform the user.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the above embodiments, it should be understood that various changes and modifications can be made by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
