Abstract

Refractory product intended to be subjected to a sintering operation comprising on the one hand from 55% to 70% by weight of refractory clay and/or alumina hydrate with a grain size from 1 to 6 mm and from 30 to 45% by weight having the same ingredients, with a grain size smaller than 0.2 mm and, on the other hand, a binder comprised of synthetic resin which hardens at a temperature of between 15<o> and 35<o>C, and containing a monophosphate of an amphoteric metal, forming under heat conditions a refractory oxide, and/or reagents for obtaining in situ said monophosphate; the process for producing said refractory product comprises mixing said binder with an aqueous solution.
