Abstract
A filter glass for filtering out harful ultraviolet rays from the pictures or figures displayed by cathode ray tubes. The filter glass comprises a laminate of two transparent, arcuate sheet glasses provided with an ultraviolet ray absorbent therebetween. The arcuate sheet glasses are formed to have a curvature conforming to the curvature of the screen face of the cathode ray tube for which the filter glass is to be used. The surface of the laminate facing the viewer is treated to provide a matted surface that does not reflect an image.
