These polymorphic forms have advantages over other known forms of N- (1) (R) - [(1,2-dihydro-1-methanesulfonyl-spiro [3H-indole-3,4'-piperidine] -1 ') carbonyl] -2 - (phenylmethyloxy) -ethyl [-2-amino-2-methylpropanamide methanesulfonate with respect to thermodynamic stability and suitability for inclusion in pharmaceutical formulations. The present invention also relates to methods for preparing these polymorphic forms as active ingredients and to the use of a polymorphic form of a compound and its formulations in the treatment of certain disorders.
