Abstract

The high temperature reaction of Bi2O3 and Fe2O3 is carried out at temperatures above 1023V ° K when, upon prolonged milling, partial degradation of the newly formed compound occurs due to the evaporation of Bi2O3. Prolonged grinding of the starting mixture results in the appearance of BiFeO3 (2-3%) already at room temperature. A significant increase in BiFeO3 content begins at temperatures above 873V ° K. The complete formation of BiFeO3 (> 95%) is achieved up to 973V ° K, which prevents the degradation of the newly formed compound. ferroelectric properties of materials and their use as ferroelectrics.
