Abstract

The invention uses a filter made of a specially prepared fibrous plastic material, in combination with active coal. Water is conveyed to the filter (15) through the water receptacle (23), under pressure through the valve-float (13), or manually, by using a bucket, hand-pump, and the like. From the receptacle (23), water flows through the opening (31), into the chamber (6), from where one part goes through the spill-way (27) into the reservoir (1), and the other, through the opening (26) into the chamber (5). By rising of the water level in the chamber (5), the water level in the pressure regulator (8) also rises. An excess of pressure made in the vessel (7) squeezes a certain amount of chemicals through the tap (12) into the chamber (5). When the water level in the chamber (5) reaches the upper brim of the siphon (28), this mixture rashly flows into the reservoir (1). The mixture of chemicals and water, prepared in this way in the reservoir (1), flows through the filter medium (16) from below upwards, getting almost completely rid of suspended materials and microorganisms, as well as most of the other pollutants.
