Abstract

The invention uses a filter medium made of a specially prepared fibrous plastic material, in combination with active coal. The filter medium (7) is placed in the vessel (2), between two perforated plates, (6) i (8). Water can be conveyed to the filter under pressure, through the valve-float (3), which is built into the lid (1), or by pouring it directly into the vessel (4), when the valve-float is not necessary. By passing through the filter medium (7), water almost completely gets rid of suspended materials and microorganisms, an excess of chlorine, colour, unpleasant smell, and most of the other pollutants, such as heavy metals, pesticides and others. Besides the flowing type, if the accumulation of water is needed, the device, without the valve-float, can be built into the lid of some accumulation vessel (bucket, jug). In that case, water is directly poured into the vessel (4), with or without additives (chlorine, coagulation agent), which depends on the required degree of purification.
