- the pair of rails 414aa and 414ab may also rotate and return by being biased by a biasing member (such as a spring). Then, the pair of rails 414aa and 414ab abut against the pair of side walls of the feeder body 41a, respectively. This opens the pair of rails 414aa and 414ab (the floor surfaces of the path section 414a). In the open state, the path section 414a is not formed, and the component supply tape T (the subsequent component supply tape T2) can be moved via the movement path section 414d.
- a biasing member such as a spring
- the component supply tape T (subsequent component supply tape T2) moves from path section 414a to path section 414b via movement path section 414d.
- the pair of rails 414aa and 414ab (the floor of path section 414a) would obstruct the movement of the component supply tape T (subsequent component supply tape T2) from path section 414a to path section 414b, preventing the component supply tape T (subsequent component supply tape T2) from moving.
- the pair of rails 414aa and 414ab (the floor of path section 414a) does not obstruct the movement of the component supply tape T (subsequent component supply tape T2) from path section 414a to path section 414b, allowing the component supply tape T (subsequent component supply tape T2) to move.

- the tape detection unit 80 is a photoelectric sensor including a light-emitting unit and a light-receiving unit.
- the detection member 81 is a dog.
- the detection member 81 is an example of a "second detection member" in the claims.
- the tape detection unit 80 detects the presence of component supply tape T in cassette 50 by detecting the detection member 81 as the component supply tape T is activated when cassette 50 is inserted into feeder main body 41a. Furthermore, when component supply tape T is not present in cassette 50, the tape detection unit 80 does not detect the detection member 81 as the component supply tape T is not activated when cassette 50 is inserted into feeder main body 41a, and therefore detects the absence of component supply tape T in cassette 50.
- cassette 50 is detected by cassette detection unit 70, and tape detection unit 80 detects that component supply tape T is absent, an error is reported by a notification means (not shown). Furthermore, based on the detection of an out-of-component condition on the previously supplied component supply tape T1, and other necessary conditions being met, the rotation of sprocket 412a will initiate the loading operation of the subsequent component supply tape T2 from cassette 50 at position P1. However, even if cassette 50 is detected, if component supply tape T is not detected, sprocket 412a will not rotate and the loading operation will not begin.
- the detection member 81 blocks light from the light-emitting unit to the light-receiving unit, changing the light-receiving state of the tape detection unit 80, and the detection member 81 is detected by the tape detection unit 80. - the lever operating portion 41ac when the cassette 50 is attached to position P1, the lever operating portion 41ac provided on the feeder body 41a comes into contact with the lever 542g.
- the lever operating portion 41ac is configured as a protrusion.
- the lever operating portion 41ac gradually pushes the lever 542g, causing the lever 542g to rotate.
- the lever 542g then comes into contact with the spacer 541e.
- the lever 542g rotates, the lever 542g gradually pushes the spacer 541e. This moves the entire tape holding portion 541, causing the guide pin 541b to move out of its locked position in the guide groove 542d, and the guide pin 542e to move out of its locked position in the guide groove 541c.
- the force of the biasing portion 543 causes the pressing portion 541a to rotate and move away from the support portion 542a.
- the direction in which the pressing portion 541a rotates is in the direction in which the feed mechanism 412 of the feeder main body 41a is located. Therefore, the pressing portion 541a abuts against the portion in which the feed mechanism 412 of the feeder main body 41a is located, and the rotational movement of the pressing portion 541a is stopped. Furthermore, when the pressing portion 541a rotates and moves away from the support portion 542a, the force of the biasing portion 542b causes the support portion 542a to slide upward (in the Z1 direction) toward the pressing portion 541a.
- the pressing portion 541a is stopped, the movement of the support portion 542a is stopped by the pressing portion 541a. Furthermore, when the support portion 542a slides upward, the portion Ta of the component supply tape T supported by the support portion 542a that is inserted into the feeder body 41a also slides upward. As a result, the portion Ta of the component supply tape T that is inserted into the feeder body 41a is urged toward the sprocket 412a of the feed mechanism 412.
- the portion Ta of the component supply tape T that is inserted into the feeder main body 41a is moved toward the detection member 81 (see Figures 20 to 23).
- the portion Ta of the component supply tape T that is inserted into the feeder main body 41a comes into contact with the detection member 81, which rotates and is detected by the tape detection unit 80.
- the portion Ta of the component supply tape T that is inserted into the feeder main body 41a does not come into contact with the detection member 81, which does not rotate and is not detected by the tape detection unit 80.
- the tape holding mechanism 54 switches to a release state by removing the cassette 50 from the feeder main body 41a, thereby releasing the pressing portion 541a and the support portion 542a from the pressing portion 542b and the support portion 542a toward the feeder main body 41a using the urging portion 542b, and moving the pressing portion 541a away from the support portion 542a using the urging portion 542b.
- cassette 50 when moving cassette 50 from position P1 to position P2, cassette 50 is removed from position P1 on feeder body 41a.
- pressing portion 541a no longer contacts the portion of feeder body 41a where feed mechanism 412 is located.
- the biasing force of biasing portion 543 then causes pressing portion 541a to rotate away from support portion 542a.
- guide pin 541b moves to the upper end of guide groove 542d, and pressing portion 541a rotates until guide pin 542e moves to the lower end of guide groove 541c.
- support portion 542a slides upward (in the Z1 direction) within the range limited by limiting plate 542c. Because the pressing portion 541a moves more than the support portion 542a, the pressing portion 541a moves away from the support portion 542a. As a result, the portion Ta of the component supply tape T that is inserted into the feeder main body 41a is no longer held between the pressing portion 541a and the support portion 542a.
- the cassette 50 includes a drawer section 56 for drawing out the tape holding mechanism 54.
- the tape holding mechanism 54 is attached so as to be slidable relative to the drawer section 56.
- the drawer section 56 has a plunger hole 561, a guide groove 562, and an engagement groove 563.
- the plunger hole 561 engages with the plunger 542h of the base portion 542.
- the plunger 542h engages with the plunger hole 561
- a sound is produced and a clicking sensation is felt.
- Two plunger holes 561 are provided, one on the X1 side and one on the X2 side, to correspond to the two plungers 542h.
- a spring-operated pin may be inserted into the hole and engaged.
- the guide groove 562 guides the guide pin 542i of the tape holding mechanism 54 when the tape holding mechanism 54 is moved relative to the drawer portion 56.
- the guide groove 562 extends along the sliding movement direction (Y direction).
- the guide groove 562 also has a recess 562a recessed downward (towards the Z2 direction) at the end on the insertion direction side (Y2 direction side). Additionally, guide pin 542i is slidably attached to guide groove 562.
- Two guide grooves 562 are provided, one on the X1 direction side and one on the X2 direction side, to correspond to guide pin 542i on the X1 direction side and guide pin 542i on the X2 direction side.
- Engagement groove 563 engages with engagement pin 542j of tape holding mechanism 54 when tape holding mechanism 54 is not pulled out from pull-out section 56.
- Two engagement grooves 563 are provided, one on the X1 direction side and one on the X2 direction side, to correspond to the two engagement pins 542j.
- the tape holding mechanism 54 With the tape holding mechanism 54 pulled out and switched to the release state, it is possible to have the tape holding mechanism 54 hold the component supply tape T.
- the worker pulls the tape holding mechanism 54 out of the pull-out section 56.
- the tape holding mechanism 54 is pulled out of the pull-out section 56 while the guide pin 542i slides along the guide groove 562 in the insertion direction (Y2 direction).
- the guide pin 542i on the insertion direction side engages with the recess 562a of the guide groove 562. This makes it possible to prevent the tape holding mechanism 54 from unintentionally moving in the removal direction (Y1 direction) while the tape holding mechanism 54 is being forced to hold the component supply tape T.
- an operator can pinch both left-right (X direction) sides of the tape holding portion 541 with their fingers and pull them toward the insertion direction (Y2 direction) to pull the tape holding mechanism 54 out of the drawer section 56.
- Pulling the tape holding mechanism 54 parallel to the insertion direction generates a force in the rotational direction around the guide pin 542i, which may cause the guide pin 542i to get caught in the guide groove 562, making it difficult to pull the tape holding mechanism 54 out of the drawer section 56.
- Pulling the tape holding mechanism 54 in a slightly upward diagonal direction can prevent the guide pin 542i from getting caught in the guide groove 562.
- an operator can hook their fingers around the lever portion 542g and pull it toward the insertion direction to pull the tape holding mechanism 54 out of the drawer section 56.
- the tape holding mechanism 54 is pulled out from the pull-out portion 56, and the tape holding mechanism 54 is switched to the release state.
- the tape holding mechanism 54 may be pulled out in the release state, or the tape holding mechanism 54 may be pulled out and then switched to the release state by operating the lever portion 542g.
- the pressing portion 541a of the tape holding portion 541 is separated from the support portion 542a of the base portion 542, so the operator inserts the component supply tape T between the pressing portion 541a and the support portion 542a. The operator then presses the pressing portion 541a from above (the Z1 direction side).
- the worker returns the tape holding mechanism 54 to the drawer section 56. Because the guide pin 542i on the insertion direction side is engaged with the recess 562a of the guide groove 562, the worker lifts the tape holding mechanism 54 slightly and slides it in the removal direction (Y1 direction). At this time, the guide pin 542i slides along the guide groove 562 in the removal direction (Y1 direction), returning the tape holding mechanism 54 to the drawer section 56. Furthermore, once the tape holding mechanism 54 has been returned to the drawer section 56, a sound is heard and a clicking sensation is generated due to the engagement between the plunger 542h and the plunger hole 561. Therefore, the worker slides the tape holding mechanism 54 in the removal direction (Y1 direction) until a sound is heard and a clicking sensation is generated.
- the engagement pin 542j engages with the engagement groove 563. Not only does guide pin 542i engage with guide groove 562, but engagement pin 542j engages with engagement groove 563 outside guide groove 562, preventing rattle of tape holding mechanism 54. In this way, the tape holding mechanism 54 is made to hold the component supply tape T. Note that it is also possible to make the tape holding mechanism 54 hold the component supply tape T without pulling out the tape holding mechanism 54 from the pull-out section 56.
- the operator presses down on the marking portion 541aa.
- the marking portion 541aa also serves as a guide when pressing down the pressing portion 541a from above.
- the marking portion 541aa is positioned so that the biasing portion 543 and the biasing portion 542b can be pressed down in a balanced manner.
- the marking portion 541aa is positioned in the insertion/removal direction (Y direction) near the position where the biasing force of the biasing portion 543 is applied (the position of the mounting holes 541d and 542f). This makes it possible to efficiently press down the biasing portion 543 by pressing down the marking portion 541aa.
- the mark portion 541aa is positioned near the center position between the positions where the biasing forces of the two biasing portions 542b are applied in the insertion/removal direction (Y direction). This makes it possible to efficiently press down the two biasing portions 542b by pressing down the mark portion 541aa.
- the locking mechanism 544 (guide pin 541b, guide groove 541c, guide groove 542d, guide pin 542e) and the urging portion 543 move as follows:
- the guide pin 541b abuts against the sloped portion 542da at the lower end of the guide groove 542d
- the guide pin 542e abuts against the sloped portion 541ca at the upper end of the guide groove 541c.
- the direction of the urging force of the urging portion 543 (the direction from the mounting hole 542f toward the mounting hole 541d) is diagonally upward and forward.
- the biasing force of the biasing portion 543 acts to assist the movement of the guide pin 541b along the sloped portion 542da of the guide groove 542d, and to assist the movement of the guide groove 541c along the sloped portion 541ca of the guide groove 541c.
- the guide pin 541b moves along the sloped portion 542da, and the guide groove 541c moves along the sloped portion 541ca, causing the guide pin 541b and the guide groove 541c to shift rearward (toward the Y1 direction).
- the direction of the biasing force of the biasing portion 543 (the direction from the mounting hole 542f toward the mounting hole 541d) is diagonally upward and rearward.
- the biasing force of the biasing portion 543 acts so that the guide pin 541b moves to the locking position of the guide groove 542d, and the guide pin 542e moves to the locking position of the guide groove 541c.
- the biasing force of the biasing portion 543 moves the guide pin 541b to the locking position of the guide groove 542d, and the guide pin 542e moves to the locking position of the guide groove 541c.
- the direction of the biasing force of the biasing portion 543 changes appropriately depending on the degree to which the pressing portion 541a is pressed, making it possible to easily lock the tape holding portion 541 with the locking mechanism 544 by simply pressing the pressing portion 541a.
- a path switching mechanism 60 is provided that switches the path of the component supply tape T from path portion 414a to path portion 414b in conjunction with the insertion or removal of a cassette 50 into or from the feeder main body 41a. This eliminates the need to provide an actuator to switch the path of the component supply tape T from path portion 414a to path portion 414b. As a result, the path of the component supply tape T can be switched from path portion 414a to path portion 414b while minimizing the complexity of the configuration and the increase in the number of parts.
- the path switching mechanism 60 switches the state of the path portion 414a in conjunction with the insertion or removal of the cassette 50 into or from the feeder main body 41a, so that the component supply tape T can move from the path portion 414a to the path portion 414b. This prevents the path portion 414a from obstructing the movement of the component supply tape T from the path portion 414a to the path portion 414b, making it possible to easily move the component supply tape T from the path portion 414a to the path portion 414b.
- the path switching mechanism 60 includes a link mechanism 61, which operates in conjunction with inserting or removing a cassette 50 into or from the feeder body 41a, switching the state of the path portion 414a so that the component supply tape T can move from the path portion 414a to the path portion 414b. This makes it possible to switch the state of the path portion 414a with a simple configuration using the link mechanism 61.
- the path switching mechanism 60 switches the open/close state of the floor of the path section 414a in conjunction with the insertion and removal of the cassette 50 into and from the feeder body 41a. This allows the component supply tape T to be transported using the path section 414a by switching the floor of the path section 414a to the closed state. Furthermore, by switching the floor of the path section 414a to the open state, the path section 414a does not obstruct the movement of the component supply tape T from the path section 414a to the path section 414b, allowing the component supply tape T to be easily moved from the path section 414a to the path section 414b.
- the path switching mechanism 60 includes a link mechanism 61 that opens and closes the floor of the path portion 414a. Inserting a cassette 50 into the feeder body 41a activates the link mechanism 61, switching the floor of the path portion 414a to a closed state. Removing the cassette 50 from the feeder body 41a activates the link mechanism 61 in the opposite manner to when it was activated by inserting the cassette 50 into the feeder body 41a, switching the floor of the path portion 414a to an open state. This allows the open/closed state of the floor of the path portion 414a to be switched with a simple configuration.
- the link mechanism 61 Furthermore, inserting a cassette 50 into the feeder body 41a activates the link mechanism 61, switching the floor of the path portion 414a to a closed state, thereby enabling the path portion 414a to be used to transport the component supply tape T before loading the component supply tape T. Furthermore, by removing the cassette 50 from the feeder body 41a, the link mechanism 61 is activated, switching the floor of the path section 414a to an open state. This ensures that when the component supply tape T is moved from path section 414a to path section 414b after loading the component supply tape T, the path section 414a does not obstruct the movement of the component supply tape T from path section 414a to path section 414b. As a result, the open/closed state of the floor of the path section 414a can be appropriately switched.
- a pair of link mechanisms 61 are provided spaced apart in the width direction of the feeder body 41a, and a movement path section along which the component supply tape T moves from path section 414a to path section 414b is provided between the pair of link mechanisms 61 in the width direction. This allows the component supply tape T to move along the movement path section between the pair of link mechanisms 61, thereby preventing the component supply tape T from being affected by external factors while moving along the movement path section.
- the floor surface of the path portion 414a is formed by a pair of rails 414aa and 414ab, and the pair of link mechanisms 61 open and close by rotating the pair of rails 414aa and 414ab.
- the pair of rails 414aa and 414ab (the floor surface of the path portion 414a) can be switched between open and closed states.
- this embodiment further includes a cassette detection unit 70 that works in conjunction with the path switching mechanism 60 to detect that a cassette 50 has been attached to the feeder main body 41a.
- a cassette detection unit 70 that works in conjunction with the path switching mechanism 60 to detect that a cassette 50 has been attached to the feeder main body 41a. This eliminates the need to provide an actuator to drive a detection member or the like detected by the cassette detection unit 70 in order to detect that a cassette 50 has been attached to the feeder main body 41a. As a result, it is possible to detect that a cassette 50 has been attached to the feeder main body 41a while minimizing the complexity of the configuration and the increase in the number of parts.
- this embodiment further includes a detection member 71 that operates in conjunction with the path switching mechanism 60, and the cassette detection unit 70 detects that a cassette 50 has been attached to the feeder main body 41a by detecting the detection member 71.
- a detection member 71 that operates in conjunction with the path switching mechanism 60, and the cassette detection unit 70 detects that a cassette 50 has been attached to the feeder main body 41a by detecting the detection member 71.
- the path switching mechanism 60 switches the open/closed state of the floor of the path section 414a in conjunction with the insertion or removal of the cassette 50 into or from the feeder body 41a, and closes the floor of the path section 414a before the cassette detection unit 70 detects the detection member 71.
- This makes it possible to avoid accidentally loading the component supply tape T before the floor of the path section 414a is closed. In other words, the component supply tape T can be properly loaded after the floor of the path section 414a is closed.
- the cassette 50 includes a locking mechanism 55 that locks the cassette 50 to the feeder body 41a.
- the locking mechanism 55 moves to an unlock position that releases the lock of the cassette 50 to the feeder body 41a, and when the hand unit 331 releases its hold on the cassette 50, the locking mechanism 55 moves to a lock position that locks the cassette 50 to the feeder body 41a. This allows the locking mechanism 55 to lock the cassette 50 to the feeder body 41a, thereby preventing the cassette 50 from falling off the feeder body 41a.
- the locking mechanism 55 can lock the cassette 50 to the feeder body 41a by utilizing the holding and release of the hand unit 331, there is no need to provide an actuator to lock the cassette 50 to the feeder body 41a with the locking mechanism 55. As a result, the locking mechanism 55 can lock the cassette 50 to the feeder body 41a while minimizing the complexity of the configuration and the increase in the number of parts.
- the exchange device 30 releases the hold of the cassette 50 by the hand unit 331 based on the cassette detection unit 70 detecting that the cassette 50 has been attached to the feeder body 41a. This prevents the locking mechanism 55 from accidentally moving to the locked position before the cassette 50 is attached to the feeder body 41a, which could result in the cassette 50 not being locked properly. In other words, the cassette 50 can be locked properly after it has been attached to the feeder body 41a.
- this embodiment further includes a tape detection unit 80 that detects the presence of component supply tape T in cassette 50 in conjunction with inserting cassette 50 into feeder body 41a.
- a tape detection unit 80 that detects the presence of component supply tape T in cassette 50 in conjunction with inserting cassette 50 into feeder body 41a.
- this embodiment further includes a detection member 81 that operates in conjunction with the insertion of a cassette 50 into the feeder main body 41a.
- the tape detection unit 80 detects the presence of the component supply tape T in the cassette 50 by detecting the detection member 81 as the component supply tape T is activated upon insertion of the cassette 50 into the feeder main body 41a.
- the detection member 81 is not activated by the component supply tape T upon insertion of the cassette 50 into the feeder main body 41a, and the detection member 81 is not detected, thereby detecting the absence of component supply tape T in the cassette 50. In this way, the presence of component supply tape T in the cassette 50 can be easily detected by linking the insertion of the cassette 50 into the feeder main body 41a with the detection member 81 and the tape detection unit 80.
- the exchange device inserts and removes the cassette
- the present invention is not limited to this.
- an operator may insert and remove the cassette.
- the path switching mechanism included a link mechanism, but the present invention is not limited to this.
- the path switching mechanism may include a mechanism other than a link mechanism.
- the present invention is not limited to this.
- one or three or more link mechanisms may be provided as long as it is possible to switch the path of the component supply tape.
- a cassette detection unit does not have to be provided.
- the cassette detection unit may detect that a cassette has been attached to the feeder main body without interlocking with the path switching mechanism.
- the cassette detection unit detects a detection member (first detection member) that is linked to the path switching mechanism, but the present invention is not limited to this.
- the cassette detection unit may detect the cassette directly, or may detect a link member of the path switching mechanism.
- the floor of the path section (first path section) was closed before the cassette detection section detected the detection member (first detection member), but the present invention is not limited to this.
- the floor of the first path section may be closed simultaneously with the cassette detection section detecting the first detection member, or after the cassette detection section detects the first detection member.
- the present invention is not limited to this.

Abstract
Description

交換装置30は、たとえば、AGV(Automatic Guided Vehicle)を含んでいる。
交換装置30は、たとえば、AGV(Automatic Guided Vehicle)を含んでいる。
