Abstract

電子部品は、素体(20)と、素体(20)の外表面(21)を覆う無機酸化物層(30)と、無機酸化物層(30)の外表面(31)を覆うガラス層(50)と、を備えている。ガラス層(50)は、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素を含んでいる。無機酸化物層(30)においては、ガラス層(50)に含まれるアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素と同種の元素の濃度は、ガラス層(50)における同種の元素の濃度よりも小さい。

Description

電子部品
 本開示は、電子部品に関する。
 特許文献1に記載の電子部品は、素体と、外部電極と、を備えている。外部電極は、素体の外表面の一部を覆っている。外部電極上には、Niめっき膜と、Snめっき膜とが積層されている。また、特許文献1に記載の電子部品は、ガラス膜を備えている。ガラス膜は、素体の外表面のうちの外部電極に覆われていない部分を覆っている。ガラス膜は、Li、Na、及びKから選ばれる2以上のアルカリ金属元素を含んでいる。

 特許文献1に記載の電子部品では、ガラス膜にアルカリ金属が含まれることにより、素体に含まれる元素がガラス層に拡散することがある。素体に含まれる元素がガラス層に拡散した場合、素体における原子構造が変化して、素体の特性が変化するおそれがある。
 上記課題を解決するため、本開示は、素体と、前記素体の外表面を覆う無機酸化物層と、前記無機酸化物層の外表面を覆うガラス層と、を備え、前記ガラス層は、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素を含んでおり、前記無機酸化物層において、前記ガラス層に含まれるアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の前記元素と同種の元素の濃度は、前記ガラス層における同種の元素の濃度よりも小さい電子部品である。
 上記構成によれば、素体の元素がガラス層に拡散することを抑制できる。

 以下、電子部品の一実施形態を、図面を参照して説明する。なお、図面は、理解を容易にするために構成要素を拡大して示している場合がある。構成要素の寸法比率は実際のものと、又は別の図面中のものと異なる場合がある。
 <電子部品の全体構成について>
 図1に示すように、電子部品10は、例えば、回路基板等に実装される表面実装型の負特性サーミスタ部品である。なお、負特性サーミスタ部品は、温度が上がると抵抗値が下がるという特性を有するものである。
 電子部品10は、素体20を備えている。素体20は、略四角柱状であり、中心軸線CAを有する。なお、以下では、中心軸線CAに沿って延びる軸を第1軸Xとする。また、第1軸Xに直交する軸の1つを第2軸Yとする。そして、第1軸X及び第2軸Yに直交する軸を第3軸Zとする。さらに、第1軸Xに沿う方向の一方を第1正方向X1とし、第1軸Xに沿う方向のうち第1正方向X1と反対方向を第1負方向X2とする。また、第2軸Yに沿う方向の一方を第2正方向Y1とし、第2軸Yに沿う方向のうち第2正方向Y1と反対方向を第2負方向Y2とする。さらに、第3軸Zに沿う方向の一方を第3正方向Z1とし、第3軸Zに沿う方向のうち第3正方向Z1と反対方向を第3負方向Z2とする。
 素体20の外表面21は、6つの平面を有している。なお、ここでいう素体20の「面」とは、素体20全体を観察したときに面として観察できるものをいう。つまり、例えば素体20の一部を顕微鏡等で拡大して観察しなければわからないような微小な凹凸、段差が存在しても、平面又は曲面と表現する。6つの平面は、互いに異なる方向を向いている。6つの平面は、第1正方向X1を向く第1端面22Aと、第1負方向X2を向く第2端面22Bと、4つの側面22Cとに大別される。4つの側面22Cは、それぞれ、第3正方向Z1を向く面と、第3負方向Z2を向く面と、第2正方向Y1を向く面と、第2負方向Y2を向く面と、である。
 素体20の外表面21のうち、隣り合う2つの平面の境界部分、及び隣り合う3つの表面の境界部分は、曲面になっている。すなわち、素体20の角は、R面取り形状になっている。なお、図1及び図2では、後述する無機酸化物層30の外表面31、及びガラス層50の外表面51を素体20の外表面21と同一視して符号を付している。
 図2に示すように、素体20は、第1軸Xに沿う方向の寸法が、第3軸Zに沿う方向の寸法よりも大きい。また、図1に示すように、素体20は、第1軸Xに沿う方向の寸法が、第2軸Yに沿う方向の寸法よりも大きい。素体20の材質は、Mn、Fe、Ni、Co、Ti、Ba、Al、及びZnから選ばれる1以上を成分とする金属酸化物を焼成したセラミックスである。
 図3に示すように、電子部品10は、2つの第1内部電極41と、2つの第2内部電極42と、を備えている。第1内部電極41及び第2内部電極42は、素体20の内部に埋め込まれている。
 第1内部電極41の材質は、導電性の材料である。例えば、第1内部電極41の材質は、パラジウムである。また、第2内部電極42の材質は、第1内部電極41の材質と同一である。
 第1内部電極41の形状は、長方形板状である。第1内部電極41の主面は、第2軸Yに直交している。第2内部電極42の形状は、第1内部電極41と同じ長方形板状である。第2内部電極42の主面は、第1内部電極41と同様に、第2軸Yに直交している。
 第1内部電極41の第1軸Xに沿う方向の寸法は、素体20の第1軸Xに沿う方向の寸法より小さい。また、図1に示すように、第1内部電極41の第3軸Zに沿う方向の寸法は、素体20の第3軸Zに沿う方向の寸法の略3分の2である。第2内部電極42の各方向の寸法は、第1内部電極41と略同じ寸法である。
 図3に示すように、第1内部電極41と第2内部電極42とは、第2軸Yに沿う方向に互い違いに位置している。すなわち、第2正方向Y1を向く側面22Cから第2負方向Y2に向かって、第1内部電極41、第2内部電極42、第1内部電極41、第2内部電極42の順に並んでいる。この実施形態では、各内部電極間の第2軸Yに沿う方向の距離は、等しくなっている。
 図1に示すように、2つの第1内部電極41及び2つの第2内部電極42は、いずれも、第3軸Zに沿う方向において、素体20の中央に位置している。その一方で、図3に示すように、第1内部電極41は、第1正方向X1に寄って位置している。第2内部電極42は、第1負方向X2に寄って位置している。
 具体的には、第1内部電極41の第1正方向X1側の端は、素体20の第1正方向X1側の端と一致している。第1内部電極41の第1負方向X2側の端は、素体20の内部に位置しており、素体20の第1負方向X2側の端にまで至っていない。一方で、第2内部電極42の第1負方向X2側の端は、素体20の第1負方向X2側の端と一致している。第2内部電極42の第1正方向X1側の端は、素体20の内部に位置しており、素体20の第1正方向X1側の端にまで至っていない。
 図3に示すように、電子部品10は、無機酸化物層30を備えている。無機酸化物層30は、素体20の外表面21を覆っている。本実施形態では、無機酸化物層30は、素体20の外表面21の略すべての領域を覆っている。なお、「無機酸化物層30が素体20の外表面21を覆っている」とは、無機酸化物層30が外表面21の少なくとも一部を覆っていればよい。また、無機酸化物層30と外表面21とが密着していなくても、無機酸化物層30と外表面21との間に他の固体状の物質が介在していない場合も、「無機酸化物層30が素体20の外表面21を覆っている」に含まれる。
 無機酸化物層30は、特定元素としてAl、Si、Zr、Tiから選ばれる1以上を含んでいる。本実施形態では、無機酸化物層30の材質は、アルミナである。すなわち、無機酸化物層30は、Alを含んでいる。無機酸化物層30においてAlが含まれているか否かについては、以下の方法において確認可能である。先ず、集束イオンビーム加工等によって、電子部品10を素体20の外表面21に直交する方向に研削する。次いで、透過型電子顕微鏡(Transmission Electron Microscope、TEM)を利用して、当該研削断面を撮像する。当該撮影断面をエネルギー分散型X線分光法(Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy、EDX)により当該断面における組成物のマッピングデータを取得する。当該マッピングデータは、画像形式のデータである。マッピングデータでは、特性X線の線量が高い箇所ほど、画像内での輝度値が高くなっている。当該マッピングデータにおいて無機酸化物層30を示す部分において一定以上の輝度値が得られた場合において「特定元素としてAlを含んでいる」とする。
 電子部品10は、ガラス層50を備えている。ガラス層50は、無機酸化物層30の外表面31を覆っている。具体的には、ガラス層50は、無機酸化物層30の外表面31の略すべての領域を覆っている。
 ガラス層50は、無機酸化物層30に含まれる特定元素と同種の元素を含んでいる。すなわち、ガラス層50は、Alを含んでいる。当該Alは、無機酸化物層30の外表面31にガラス層50を形成したときに、無機酸化物層30からガラス層50中に拡散したものである。ガラス層50では、当該ガラス層50の厚さ方向において、無機酸化物層30から離れるほど、Alの濃度が低下している。換言すると、ガラス層50におけるAlの濃度の組成は、ガラス層50の厚さ方向において無機酸化物層30から離れるほど濃度が低下する傾斜組成になっている。なお、ガラス層50中のAlの濃度については、以下の方法において確認可能である。先ず、集束イオンビーム加工等によって、電子部品10の素体20の外表面21に直交する方向に研削する。次いで、透過型電子顕微鏡を利用して、当該研削断面を撮像する。そして、エネルギー分散型X線分光法により、当該断面における組成物のマッピングデータを取得する。当該マッピングデータは、画像形式のデータである。マッピングデータでは、特性X線の線量が高い箇所ほど、画像内での輝度値が高くなっている。すなわち、マッピングデータでは、組成物の量が多い箇所ほど、画像内での輝度値が高くなっている。したがって、このマッピングデータの特定の領域に存在する輝度値の合計値を、当該領域の面積で除することにより、当該領域における組成物の濃度を算出する。なお、この場合の濃度は、単位面積当たりの平均輝度値で表される。
 ガラス層50は、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素を含んでいる。具体的には、ガラス層50はカリウムを含んでいる。ガラス層50でのカリウムの濃度は、全体として無機酸化物層30に近いほど高くなっている。なお、ガラス層50がAlを含んでいるか否か、及びカリウムを含んでいるか否かについては、上記方法と同様にして確認できる。
 ガラス層50の融点は、無機酸化物層30の融点よりも低い。換言すると、無機酸化物層30の融点は、ガラス層50の融点よりも高い。そのため、ガラス層50を形成する工程において無機酸化物層30に熱が加わったとしても、無機酸化物層30が完全には融解しない。
 電子部品10は、第1外部電極61と、第2外部電極62と、を備えている。なお、図1~図3では、第1外部電極61及び第2外部電極62を二点鎖線で図示している。
 図3に示すように、第1外部電極61は、第1下地電極61Aと、第1金属層61Bと、を有している。第1下地電極61Aは、素体20の外表面21のうち、第1端面22Aを含む一部分において、ガラス層50の上から積層されている。具体的には、第1下地電極61Aは、素体20の第1端面22Aと、4つの側面22Cの第1正方向X1側の一部とを覆う、5面電極である。この実施形態では、第1下地電極61Aの材質は、銀及びガラスの混合物である。
 第1金属層61Bは、第1下地電極61Aを外部から覆っている。そのため、第1金属層61Bは、第1下地電極61Aに積層されている。図示は省略するが、第1金属層61Bは、第1下地電極61A側から順に、ニッケル層と、錫層と、の2層構造となっている。
 第2外部電極62は、第2下地電極62Aと、第2金属層62Bと、を有している。第2下地電極62Aは、素体20の外表面21のうち、第2端面22Bを含む一部分において、ガラス層50の上から積層されている。具体的には、第2下地電極62Aは、素体20の第2端面22Bと、4つの側面22Cの第1負方向X2側の一部とを覆う、5面電極である。この実施形態では、第2下地電極62Aの材質は、第1外部電極61の材質と同一で、銀及びガラスの混合物である。
 第2金属層62Bは、第2下地電極62Aを外部から覆っている。つまり、第2金属層62Bは、第2下地電極62Aに積層されている。第2金属層62Bは、第1金属層61Bと同様に、素体20側から順に、ニッケル層と、錫層と、の2層構造となっている。
 第2外部電極62は、側面22C上において、第1外部電極61にまでは至っておらず、第1外部電極61に対して第1軸Xに沿う方向に離れて配置されている。そして、素体20の側面22C上において、第1軸Xに沿う方向の中央部分は、第1外部電極61及び第2外部電極62が積層されておらず、ガラス層50が露出している。
 図3に示すように、第1外部電極61は、無機酸化物層30及びガラス層50を貫通する第1貫通部71を介して、第1内部電極41における第1正方向X1側の端に接続している。なお、詳細は後述するが、第1貫通部71は、電子部品10の製造過程において、第1内部電極41を構成するパラジウムが第1外部電極61側へと延びることによって形成される。
 また、第2外部電極62は、無機酸化物層30及びガラス層50を貫通する第2貫通部72を介して第2内部電極42における第1負方向X2側の端に接続している。第2貫通部72も、第1貫通部71と同様に、電子部品10の製造過程において、第2内部電極42を構成するパラジウムが第2外部電極62側へと延びることによって形成される。
 なお、図3では、第1内部電極41と第1貫通部71とを境界のある別の部材として図示しているが、実際には両者の間に明確な境界は存在しない。この点、第2貫通部72についても同様である。また、図1及び図2においては、第1貫通部71及び第2貫通部72の図示を省略している。
 <無機酸化物層について>
 図4に示すように、無機酸化物層30の厚さT1の平均値は、ガラス層50の厚さT2の平均値よりも薄い。無機酸化物層30の厚さT1の平均値は、次のように算出する。まず、電子顕微鏡を用いて、素体20の断面を撮像する。この撮像した画像について、無機酸化物層30の外表面31に沿う方向に少なくとも10μm以上の範囲を測定範囲とする。そして、画像処理により、当該測定範囲における無機酸化物層30の断面積を算出する。次いで、当該断面積を、無機酸化物層30の外表面31に沿う方向の当該測定範囲の長さで除算する。これにより、測定範囲における無機酸化物層30の厚さT1の平均値を算出する。つまり、無機酸化物層30の厚さT1の平均値とは、測定範囲における厚さの平均値である。ガラス層50の厚さT2の平均値についても同様に測定可能である。なお、図4において、厚さT1は、無機酸化物層30における厚さの一例を示すものである。この点、ガラス層50の厚さT2も同様である。
 無機酸化物層30は、ガラス層50に含まれるアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素を含んでいる。本実施形態では、無機酸化物層30は、カリウムを含んでいる。無機酸化物層30に含まれるカリウムの濃度は、ガラス層50におけるカリウムの濃度よりも小さい。すなわち、無機酸化物層30において、ガラス層50に含まれるアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素と同種の元素の濃度は、ガラス層50における同種の元素の濃度よりも小さい。無機酸化物層30におけるカリウムの濃度については、上記方法と同様にして確認できる。
 <電子部品の製造方法>
 次に、電子部品10の製造方法及び無機酸化物層30の形成方法について説明する。
 図5に示すように、電子部品10の製造方法は、積層体準備工程S11と、R面取り加工工程S12と、第1成膜工程S13と、溶媒投入工程S14と、触媒投入工程S15と、素体投入工程S16と、ポリマー投入工程S17と、金属アルコキシド投入工程S18と、を備えている。また、電子部品10の製造方法は、第2成膜工程S19と、第1乾燥工程S20と、浸漬工程S21と、第2乾燥工程S22と、導電体塗布工程S23と、硬化工程S24と、めっき工程S25と、をさらに備えている。
 先ず、素体20を形成するにあたって、積層体準備工程S11では、6つの平面を有する直方体状の素体20である積層体を準備する。すなわち、この段階での積層体は、R面取りする前の状態である。例えば、先ず、素体20となる複数のセラミックスのシートを準備する。当該シートは、薄い板状である。当該シート上に、第1内部電極41となる導電体ペーストを積層する。当該導電体ペースト上に、素体20となるセラミックスのシートを積層する。当該シート上に、第2内部電極42となる導電体ペーストを積層する。このように、セラミックスのシートと導電体ペーストとを積層する。そして、所定のサイズにカットすることで、未焼成の積層体を形成する。その後、未焼成の積層体を高温で焼成することで、積層体を準備する。
 次に、R面取り加工工程S12を行う。R面取り加工工程S12では、積層体準備工程S11で準備した積層体の隣り合う2つの平面の境界部分、及び隣り合う3つの平面の境界部分に、曲面を形成する。例えば、バレル研磨により、積層体の角がR面取り加工されることによって、上記境界部分に曲面が形成される。これにより素体20が形成される。
 次に、第1成膜工程S13を行う。第1成膜工程S13では、無機酸化物層30としてアルミナ膜を形成する。具体的には、素体20の外表面21に対して、スパッタリング法によりアルミナ膜を形成する。なお、この時点において無機酸化物層30は、カリウムを含んでいない。
 次に、溶媒投入工程S14を行う。溶媒投入工程S14では、反応容器内に、溶媒として、2-プロパノールを投入する。
 次に、触媒投入工程S15を行う。触媒投入工程S15では、先ず、反応容器内の溶媒の撹拌を開始する。そして、反応容器内に、触媒を含む水溶液として、アンモニア水を投入する。この実施形態における触媒は、水酸化物イオンであり、後述する金属アルコキシドの加水分解を促進する触媒として機能する。
 次に、素体投入工程S16を行う。素体投入工程S16では、触媒投入工程S15で準備した反応容器内に、上述したように予め形成した複数の素体20を投入する。
 次に、ポリマー投入工程S17を行う。ポリマー投入工程S17では、反応容器内に、ポリマーとして、ポリビニルピロリドンを投入する。これにより、反応容器内に投入されたポリマーは、無機酸化物層30に吸着する。
 次に、金属アルコキシド投入工程S18を行う。金属アルコキシド投入工程S18では、反応容器内に、金属アルコキシドとして、液状のオルトケイ酸テトラエチルを投入する。なお、オルトケイ酸テトラエチルは、テトラエトキシシランと呼称されることもある。本実施形態において、金属アルコキシド投入工程S18において投入する金属アルコキシドの量は、素体投入工程S16において投入した素体20の外表面21の面積を基に算出している。具体的には、ガラス層50を形成するために必要な素体20の1個当たりの金属アルコキシドの量に、素体20の数を乗算して算出する。
 次に、第2成膜工程S19を行う。第2成膜工程S19では、上述した溶媒投入工程S14で開始した溶媒の撹拌を、金属アルコキシド投入工程S18によって金属アルコキシドが反応容器内に投入されてから、所定時間だけ続ける。このようにして、第2成膜工程S19では、反応容器内における液相反応によって、ガラス層50が成膜される。
 次に、第1乾燥工程S20を行う。第1乾燥工程S20では、第2成膜工程S19において所定時間だけ撹拌を続けた後に、素体20を反応容器から取り出して、乾燥させる。これにより、ゾル状のガラス層50は乾燥され、ゲル状のガラス層50となる。
 次に、浸漬工程S21を行う。浸漬工程S21では、まず、第2成膜工程S19までに使用した反応容器とは異なる反応容器に、添加物としてアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる少なくとも1つの元素を含む溶液を予め投入しておく。本実施形態においては、溶液は、酸化カリウム前駆体を含む水溶液である。そして、ゲル状のガラス層50を有する素体20を溶液に浸漬する。これにより、ガラス層50の表面に溶液が付着する。なお、浸漬工程S21では、添加物である酸化カリウム前駆体が、ガラス層50の表面に付着する。このときガラス層50の外表面51に付着する酸化カリウム前駆体の量は、浸漬工程S21で用意した溶液中の、酸化カリウム前駆体の濃度に依存する。
 次に、第2乾燥工程S22を行う。第2乾燥工程S22では、浸漬工程S21において溶液に浸漬した素体20を反応容器から取り出して、乾燥させる。これにより、ガラス層50の表面に付着した溶液の水分が揮発する。その一方で、溶液に含まれていた酸化カリウム前駆体は、ガラス層50の外表面51上に析出する。
 次に、導電体塗布工程S23を行う。導電体塗布工程S23では、ガラス層50の表面のうち、素体20の第1端面22Aを覆う部分を含む一部分と、素体20の第2端面22Bを覆う部分を含む一部分と、の2箇所に導電体ペーストを塗布する。具体的には、導電体ペーストを、第1端面22Aの全域と4つの側面22C上の一部とのガラス層50を覆うように塗布する。また、導電体ペーストを、第2端面22Bの全域と4つの側面22C上の一部とのガラス層50を覆うように塗布する。
 次に、硬化工程S24を行う。具体的には、硬化工程S24は、ガラス層50及び導電体ペーストが塗布された素体20を加熱する。このときの加熱温度は、ガラス層50の融点以上、且つ無機酸化物層30の融点未満、例えば800度程度である。これにより、析出した酸化カリウム前駆体が酸化カリウムとなる。酸化カリウムは、ガラス層50の内部へ拡散する。なお、このときガラス層50の内部へ拡散する酸化カリウムの量は、ガラス層50の外表面51に付着した酸化カリウム前駆体の量に依存している。なお、当該酸化カリウムは、無機酸化物層30内にも流入する。
 また、硬化工程S24において、素体20を加熱することで、ゲル状のガラス層50から水及びポリマーが気化する。これにより、ガラス層50が焼成され、硬化する。なお、上述したように、無機酸化物層30の融点は、ガラス層50の融点より高くなっている。したがって、硬化工程S24において無機酸化物層30は完全には溶融されない。さらに、硬化工程S24では、導電体塗布工程S23において塗布された導電体ペーストが焼成されることによって、第1下地電極61A及び第2下地電極62Aが形成される。
 本実施形態においては、硬化工程S24における加熱の際に、第1内部電極41と第1下地電極61Aとの拡散速度の違いから生じるカーケンドール効果により、銀を含む第1下地電極61A側に、第1内部電極41側に含まれるパラジウムが引き寄せられる。これにより、第1内部電極41から第1下地電極61Aに向かって第1貫通部71が無機酸化物層30及びガラス層50を貫通して延びることで、第1内部電極41と第1下地電極61Aとが接続する。この点、第2内部電極42と第2下地電極62Aとを接続する第2貫通部72においても同様である。
 次に、めっき工程S25を行う。第1下地電極61A及び第2下地電極62Aの部分に、電気めっきを行う。これにより、第1下地電極61Aの表面に、第1金属層61Bが形成される。また、第2下地電極62Aの表面に、第2金属層62Bが形成される。図示は省略するが、第1金属層61B及び第2金属層62Bは、ニッケル、錫の2種類で電気めっきされることで、2層構造となる。このようにして、電子部品10が形成される。
 <本実施形態の効果>
 (1)ガラス層50に含まれるアルカリ金属又はアルカリ土類金属によって、ガラス層50における原子間の結合が切断されやすい。結合が切断された結果、元素が拡散する原因となる非架橋酸素が多く発生する。そのため、素体20に接触する層においては、アルカリ金属元素及びアルカリ土類元素の濃度が小さい方が好ましい。上記実施形態によれば、無機酸化物層30におけるカリウムの濃度は、ガラス層50におけるカリウムの濃度よりも小さくなっている。そのため、無機酸化物層30内の結合が切断されにくく、素体20に含まれる元素が拡散されることを抑制できる。
 (2)仮に、無機酸化物層30の融点がガラス層50の融点よりも低い場合、ガラス層50の形成時に無機酸化物層30が溶融することがある。無機酸化物層30が溶融すると、ガラス層50と無機酸化物層30とが混合してしまい、ガラス層50に含まれるカリウムが、素体20の外表面21側に流動するおそれがある。上記実施形態では、無機酸化物層30の融点は、ガラス層50の融点よりも高い。したがって上述したような、ガラス層50形成の過程における無機酸化物層30の溶融を抑制できる。
 (3)上記実施形態では、無機酸化物層30は、特定元素としてAlを含んでいる。無機酸化物層30がAlを含んでいれば、耐薬品性及び耐熱性などに優れた無機酸化物層30を得やすい。
 (4)上記実施形態では、ガラス層50は、無機酸化物層30に含まれる特定元素と同種の元素を含んでいる。換言すると、無機酸化物層30における特定元素は、ガラス層50内部に拡散している。このように、特定元素がガラス層50に拡散することにより、ガラス層50と無機酸化物層30との境界が明確に分かれにくい。そのため、これらの層間で剥離が生じにくい。
 (5)上記実施形態において、ガラス層50におけるAlの濃度の組成は、ガラス層50の厚さ方向において無機酸化物層30から離れるほど濃度が低下する傾斜組成になっている。換言すると、無機酸化物層30から拡散した特定元素は、ガラス層50中において、無機酸化物層30との境界近傍に集中している。この構成によれば、さらにガラス層50と無機酸化物層30との境界が明確に分かれにくい。そのため、これらの層間で剥離が生じにくい。
 (6)上記実施形態では、無機酸化物層30の厚さT1の平均値は、ガラス層50の厚さT2の平均値よりも薄い。この構成によれば、無機酸化物層30が薄いため、電子部品10全体の外形が大きくなることを抑制できる。
 <変更例>
 上記実施形態及び以下の変更例は、技術的に矛盾しない範囲で互いに組み合わせて実施することができる。
 ・上記実施形態において、電子部品10は、負特性サーミスタ部品に限られない。例えば、素体20の内部に何らかの配線を備えているのであれば、負特性以外のサーミスタ部品であってもよいし、積層コンデンサ部品やインダクタ部品であってもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、素体20の材質は、上記実施形態の例に限られない。素体20の材質は、樹脂と金属粉体とのコンポジット体であってもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、素体20の形状は、上記実施形態の例に限られない。例えば、素体20は、中心軸線CAを有する四角形柱状以外の多角形柱状であってもよい。また、素体20は、巻線型のインダクタ部品のコアであってもよい。例えば、コアは、いわゆるドラムコア形状であってもよい。具体的には、コアは、柱状の巻芯部と、巻芯部の各端部に設けられた鍔部とを有していてもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、素体20の外表面21のうち、隣り合う平面の境界部分が面取り形状になっていなくてもよい。この場合、当該境界部分には、曲面が存在しない。
 ・上記実施形態において、第1内部電極41及び第2内部電極42の形状は、対応する第1外部電極61及び第2外部電極62との電気的導通を確保できる形状であれば問わない。また、第1内部電極41及び第2内部電極42の数は問わず、各内部電極の数が1つであってもよいし、3つ以上であってもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、第1外部電極61の構成は、上記実施形態の例に限られない。例えば、第1外部電極61は、第1下地電極61Aのみから構成されていてもよいし、第1金属層61Bが、2層構造でなくてもよい。この点、第2外部電極62についても同様である。
 ・上記実施形態において、第1下地電極61Aは、第1内部電極41と電気的に導通していればよく、ガラスを含んでいなくてもよい。同様に、第2下地電極62Aは、第2内部電極42と電気的に導通していればよく、ガラスを含んでいなくてもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、第1内部電極41と第1下地電極61Aとの材質の組み合わせは、パラジウム及び銀の組み合わせに限らない。例えば、銅及びニッケル、銅及び銀、銀及び金、ニッケル及びコバルト、又は、ニッケル及び金、の組み合わせであってもよい。また例えば、一方が銀で、他方が銀及びパラジウムの組み合わせであってもよい。また例えば、一方がパラジウムで、他方が銀及びパラジウムの組み合わせであってもよいし、一方が銅で、他方が銀及びパラジウムの組み合わせであってもよい。また例えば、一方が金で、他方が銀及びパラジウムの組み合わせであってもよい。
 ・なお、第1内部電極41と第1下地電極61Aとの組み合わせによっては、カーケンドール効果を得られない場合がある。この場合には、外部電極を形成する前に、第1内部電極41が露出するように加工すればよい。例えば、素体20の第1端面22A側を研磨してガラス層50及び無機酸化物層30の一部を物理的に除去すればよい。その後、露出した第1内部電極41上に第1下地電極61Aを形成することで、第1内部電極41と第1下地電極61Aとを接続することができる。また例えば、第1下地電極61Aを形成した後に、第1下地電極61Aの表面も含めて無機酸化物層30及びガラス層50を形成して、第1下地電極61Aの表面を覆う無機酸化物層30及びガラス層50を除去してもよい。この点、第2内部電極42と第2下地電極62Aとの材質の組み合わせにおいても同様である。
 ・上記実施形態において、第1外部電極61の配置箇所は、上記実施形態の例に限られない。例えば、第1外部電極61が第1端面22Aと1つの側面22Cとにのみ配置されていてもよい。この点、第2外部電極62についても同様である。
 ・上記実施形態において、ガラス層50のうち第1下地電極61Aに覆われている部分では、ガラス層50におけるガラスが、第1下地電極61Aにおけるガラスと一体化していることもある。
 ・上記実施形態において、無機酸化物層30は、素体20の外表面21の全体を覆っていなくてもよい。無機酸化物層30は、素体20の外表面21の少なくとも一部を覆っていればよい。また、同様に、ガラス層50は、無機酸化物層30の外表面31の全体を覆っていなくてもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、無機酸化物層30は、必ずしもアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属を含んでいなくてもよい。例えば、無機酸化物層30に含まれるアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属がほんの僅かの場合、上記実施形態で記載したような方法において無機酸化物層30中にアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属が観測されないことがある。観測されないほど無機酸化物層30に含まれるアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属の割合が少ない場合、無機酸化物層30は、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属を含んでいないといえる。
 ・上記実施形態において、ガラス層50に含まれるアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素は、カリウムに限定されない。また、無機酸化物層30においても、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素は、ガラス層50と同種の元素であればよく、カリウムに限定されない。
 ・上記実施形態において、ガラス層50でのカリウムの濃度は、全体として無機酸化物層30に近いほど高くなっていなくてもよい。例えば、無機酸化物層30の厚さT1等によっては、ガラス層50の外表面51においてカリウムの濃度が最も高くなることもある。
 ・上記実施形態において、無機酸化物層30の厚さT1の平均値は、ガラス層50の厚さT2の平均値よりも厚くてもよい。また、無機酸化物層30の厚さT1の平均値と、ガラス層50の厚さT2の平均値とが同じであってもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、無機酸化物層30の形状が保たれるのであれば、無機酸化物層30の融点は、ガラス層50の融点よりも低くてもよいし、同じであってもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、無機酸化物層30に含まれる特定元素は、Alに限定されない。耐薬品性及び耐熱性などを考慮すると、無機酸化物層30は、特定元素としてAl、Si、Zr、Tiから選ばれる1以上を含んでいると好ましい。また、同様に、ガラス層50に含まれる特定元素は、Alに限られず、上記の元素のいずれかであってもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、第1成膜工程S13において無機酸化物層30を形成する方法は、スパッタリング法に限定されない。例えば、スプレーによる塗布、スラリーの塗布などにより無機酸化物層30を形成してもよい。また、スパッタリング法において、水蒸気を添加する方法で無機酸化物層30を形成してもよい。また、原子層体積法等により無機酸化物層30を形成してもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、無機酸化物層30は、必ずしも特定元素を含んでいなくてもよい。同様に、ガラス層50も、必ずしも特定元素を含んでいなくてもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、ガラス層50における特定元素は、ガラス層50の厚さ方向において、無機酸化物層30から離れるほど、濃度が低下する傾斜組成になっていなくてもよい。
 ・上記実施形態において、浸漬工程S21で反応容器内に投入する溶液に含まれる添加物は、酸化カリウム前駆体に限られない。例えば、上記溶液に含まれる添加物は、炭酸リチウム、塩化リチウム、チタン酸リチウム、窒化リチウム、過酸化リチウム、クエン酸リチウム、フッ化リチウム、ヘキサフルオロリン酸リチウム、酢酸リチウム、ヨウ化リチウム、次亜塩素酸リチウム、四ホウ酸リチウム、臭化リチウム、硝酸リチウム、水酸化リチウム、水素化アルミニウムリチウム、水素化トリエチルホウ素リチウム、水素化リチウム、リチウムアミド、リチウムイミド、リチウムジイソプロピルアミド、リチウムテトラメチルピペリジド、硫化リチウム、硫酸リチウム、リチウムチオフェノラート、リチウムフェノキシド等であってもよい。
 ・また、上記溶液に含まれる添加物は、例えば、炭酸カルシウム、炭酸水素カルシウム、硝酸カルシウム、硫酸カルシウム、亜硫酸カルシウム、ケイ酸カルシウム、リン酸カルシウム、ピロリン酸カルシウム、次亜塩素酸カルシウム、塩素酸カルシウム、過塩素酸カルシウム、臭素酸カルシウム、ヨウ素酸カルシウム、亜ヒ酸カルシウム、クロム酸カルシウム、タングステン酸カルシウムモリブデン酸カルシウム、炭酸カルシウムマグネシウム、ハイドロキシアパタイト、といったオキソ酸塩等であってもよい。また、添加物は、酢酸カルシウム、グルコン酸カルシウム、クエン酸カルシウム、リンゴ酸カルシウム、乳酸カルシウム、安息香酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸カルシウム、アスパラギン酸カルシウム等であってもよい。
 ・また、上記溶液に含まれる添加物は、例えば、亜硫酸バリウム、塩化バリウム、塩素酸バリウム、過塩素酸バリウム、過酸化バリウム、クロム酸バリウム、酢酸バリウム、シアン化バリウム、臭化バリウム、シュウ酸バリウム、硝酸バリウム、水酸化バリウム、水素化バリウム、炭酸バリウム、ヨウ化バリウム、硫化バリウム、硫酸バリウムであってもよい。他にも、添加物は、酢酸ナトリウム、クエン酸ナトリウム等であってもよい。

Claims (6)

  1.  素体と、
     前記素体の外表面を覆う無機酸化物層と、
     前記無機酸化物層の外表面を覆うガラス層と、
     を備え、
     前記ガラス層は、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の元素を含んでおり、
     前記無機酸化物層において、前記ガラス層に含まれるアルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる1以上の前記元素と同種の元素の濃度は、前記ガラス層における同種の元素の濃度よりも小さい
     電子部品。
  2.  前記無機酸化物層の融点は、前記ガラス層の融点よりも高い
     請求項1に記載の電子部品。
  3.  前記無機酸化物層は、特定元素としてAl、Si、Zr、Tiから選ばれる1以上を含んでいる
     請求項1又は請求項2に記載の電子部品。
  4.  前記ガラス層は、前記無機酸化物層に含まれる前記特定元素と同種の元素を含んでいる
     請求項3に記載の電子部品。
  5.  前記ガラス層における前記特定元素の濃度の組成は、前記ガラス層の厚さ方向において前記無機酸化物層から離れるほど濃度が低下する傾斜組成になっている
     請求項4に記載の電子部品。
  6.  前記無機酸化物層の厚さの平均値は、前記ガラス層の厚さの平均値よりも薄い
     請求項1~請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の電子部品。
