- FIG. 10 is a diagram showing the operation pattern of the deviation vector when the beatless control unit according to the second embodiment executes beatless control when the rotation amount is within a range of less than ⁇ 90 degrees from the optimal value.
- FIG. 11 is a diagram showing the operation pattern of the deviation vector when the beatless control unit according to the second embodiment executes beatless control when the rotation amount is away from the optimal value by more than ⁇ 90 degrees.
- the absolute value of the difference between the amount of rotation ⁇ R and the optimal value is less than 90 degrees.
- the absolute value of the difference between the amount of rotation ⁇ R and the optimal value is greater than 90 degrees.
- FIGS. 9 to 11 show the deviation vector locus Et, which is the movement pattern of the deviation vector E (not shown) composed of e cos and e sin when the beatless control unit 18 executes beatless control.
- the deviation vector E is a vector directed from the origin toward (e cos , e sin ).
- the beatless control unit 18 controls (e cos , e sin ) so that it approaches the origin, i.e., so that the absolute value of the deviation vector E decreases.
- the deviation vector locus Et has a starting point of "Start” and an end point of "Goal.”
- the movement pattern of the deviation vector E under beatless control (the deviation vector locus Et corresponding to the behavior of the control unit 400) can be roughly classified into four types depending on the rotation amount ⁇ R.
- 11 is a third operation pattern when the rotation amount ⁇ R is more than ⁇ 90 degrees away from the optimum value. If the beatless control unit 18 starts beatless control at this time, the deviation vector E moves away from the origin while drawing a spiral.
- the fourth operation pattern occurs when the rotation amount ⁇ R is in the worst state (180 degrees away from the optimum value). If the beatless control unit 18 starts beatless control at this time, the deviation vector E moves away from the origin in a straight line.
- the user sets in advance an amount of rotation ⁇ R that is as close to the optimum value as possible in the rotation amount adjustment unit 205.
- the amount of rotation ⁇ R that is less than ⁇ 85 degrees from the optimum value is set in the rotation amount adjustment unit 205.
- the beatless control unit 18 can control the deviations e cos and e sin to zero if the rotation amount ⁇ R is appropriately given by the rotation amount adjustment unit 205.
- the target value r * of the pulsation component is set to zero, so if the deviations e cos and e sin become zero, the cosine component y cos and the sine component y sin of the pulsation of the norm or weighted norm of the dq axis current also become zero.
- the rotation amount ⁇ R does not necessarily have to be set in advance by the user, but may be adjusted while the AC motor 1 is operating. The rotation amount ⁇ R may also be determined based on some additional information provided from outside the drive device 4.
- the rotation amount adjustment unit 205 stores the determined rotation amount ⁇ R.
- Figure 12 is a flowchart showing the procedure for automatic search processing executed by the automatic search unit of the drive device according to the second embodiment.
- the automatic search unit 104 automatically searches for the point at which the pulsation of the norm or weighted norm is minimized, using the following procedure.
- the subtractor 201A calculates the deviation e cos of the cos component, and the subtractor 201B calculates the deviation e sin of the sine component (step S210).
- the rotation amount adjustment unit 205 sets the rotation amount ⁇ R in the rotation calculation unit 202 (step S220).
- the rotation calculation unit 202 performs a vector rotation calculation using the rotation amount ⁇ R (step S230). Specifically, the rotation calculation unit 202 applies e cos , e sin , and the rotation amount ⁇ R to equation (7) to calculate e Rcos , which is a cosine component after the rotation calculation, and e Rsin, which is a sin component after the rotation calculation.
- the integral control units 203A and 203B execute integral control calculations (step S240). Specifically, the integral control unit 203A integrates e Rcos after the rotation calculation to determine x cos , which is the cos component of the output signal of the beatless control, and the integral control unit 203B integrates e Rsin after the rotation calculation to determine x sin , which is the sin component of the output signal of the beatless control.
- the AC restoration unit 204 executes AC restoration calculation (step S250). Specifically, the AC restoration unit 204 applies x cos , x sin , and f dis to equations (3) to (5) to calculate the manipulated variable ⁇ b of the voltage phase.
- the control unit 400 of the drive unit 4 can effectively suppress beat vibrations caused by pulsation of the DC bus voltage without performing complicated control adjustments, as long as the rotation amount ⁇ R is in an appropriate state (the rotation amount ⁇ R is within a range of less than ⁇ 90 degrees from the optimal value).
- Embodiment 3 Next, a third embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 13 to 21.
- beat vibrations caused by pulsation of the DC bus voltage can be effectively suppressed if the amount of rotation ⁇ R is in a relatively appropriate state.
- the third embodiment if the amount of rotation ⁇ R is in an inappropriate state, it is corrected to an appropriate state.
- FIG. 13 is a diagram showing the configuration of a beatless control unit provided in a drive device according to the third embodiment.
- the components in FIG. 13 those that achieve the same functions as the beatless control unit 18 of the first embodiment shown in FIG. 4 are given the same reference numerals, and redundant explanations will be omitted.
- the drive device 4 of embodiment 3 has a beatless control unit 18A instead of the beatless control unit 18.
- the beatless control unit 18A has a search failure detection unit 105.
- the beatless control unit 18A has an automatic search unit 104A instead of the automatic search unit 104.
- the search failure detection unit 105 detects an unintended increase in y cos and y sin , it determines that the beatless control is in an abnormal state (the rotation amount ⁇ R is in an inappropriate state) and outputs a search direction correction signal to the automatic search unit 104A, which is a signal for correcting the search direction.
- the search direction correction signal is a signal for correcting the search direction of the manipulated variable ⁇ b (the direction of the deviation vector E) by adjusting the rotation amount ⁇ R.
- the search direction corresponds to the search process of the manipulated variable ⁇ b to move the deviation vector E toward zero.
- the search direction corresponds to the search process of x cos and x sin to move the cos component (x cos ) and sin component (x sin ) of the beatless control output signal toward their optimal values.
- the search failure detection unit 105 detects an increase in both y cos and y sin , it outputs the search direction correction signal to the automatic search unit 104A.
- the automatic search unit 104A Upon receiving the search direction correction signal, the automatic search unit 104A corrects the search direction.
- the beatless control unit 18A finds a search direction that reduces y cos and y sin through this correction operation, thereby ultimately reducing the deviation vector E to zero.
- Fig. 14 is a diagram showing the operation pattern of the deviation vector when the beatless control unit according to the third embodiment executes beatless control.
- the horizontal axis of Fig. 14 is the cosine component (e cos ), and the vertical axis is the sin component (e sin ).
- Fig. 14 shows the deviation vector locus Et, which is the operation pattern of the deviation vector E composed of e cos and e sin when the beatless control unit 18A executes beatless control.
- the deviation vector locus Et has "Start" as the starting point and "Goal" as the end point.
- beatless control When beatless control is being performed, if the automatic search for the manipulated variable ⁇ b of the voltage phase that minimizes ycos , the cosine component, and ysin , the sine component, of the pulsation of the norm or weighted norm of the dq-axis currents is not performed properly, ycos and ysin will increase.
- the beatless control unit 18A of the third embodiment detects such increases in ycos and ysin .
- the search failure detection unit 105 detects an unintended increase in y cos and y sin , it determines that the beatless control is in an abnormal state and outputs a search direction correction signal.
- the automatic search unit 104A When the automatic search unit 104A receives the search direction correction signal, it corrects the search direction.
- the search failure detection unit 105 continues to output the search direction correction signal while it determines that the beatless control is in an abnormal state. Furthermore, when the search failure detection unit 105 determines that the beatless control is in a normal state, it stops outputting the search direction correction signal.
- the automatic search unit 104A continues to correct the search direction until it no longer receives the search direction correction signal. This correction operation reduces y cos and y sin , and the deviation vector E becomes zero. This allows the drive unit 4 to reliably suppress beat vibration under any operating conditions.

- the deviation vector ER is a vector directed from the origin toward (e Rcos , e Rsin ), and the deviation vector E is a vector directed from the origin toward (e cos , e sin ), as described above.
- the ideal values of the deviation vector E before the rotation operation and the deviation vector ER after the rotation operation are zero (the origin).
- the search direction is shown as a sector-shaped figure (sector region) that mimics the human field of vision. If the center of the sector region is the position of the output signal vector x at a certain time, the arc of the sector region represents the forward field of view at that time.

- Search direction image SD6 is a search direction image after a specific time has elapsed since the search using search direction image SD5.
- Figures 15 to 17 show the trajectory of the deviation vector ER after the rotation calculation as it moves from the point of the deviation vector ER's initial value ERs to the point of the deviation vector ER's ideal value Ei (origin), as the deviation vector trajectory ERt.
- a deviation vector locus ERt2 which is a locus that moves from the point of the initial value ERs of the deviation vector ER to the point of the ideal value Ei of the deviation vector ER (the origin) after the rotation amount ⁇ R has been adjusted in the case where the search has failed due to an inappropriate rotation amount ⁇ R as shown in FIG. 17.
- the beatless control unit 18A cannot know in advance where in the diagram the ideal value of the output signal vector x is located.
- the beatless control unit 18A can determine whether or not it has successfully searched for the ideal value of the output signal vector x only by observing the deviation vectors E and ER.
- the search range of the output signal vector x is limited.
- the output signal vector x has a searchable range SR, which is the range that can be searched. If the ideal value of the output signal vector x is not within the searchable range SR, the deviation vectors E and ER cannot be set to zero, so the beatless control unit 18A searches for an output signal vector x that minimizes the deviation vectors E and ER within the searchable range SR.
- the initial value xs of the output signal vector x is an arbitrary value, and is often set to zero, but here it is set to a non-zero value for convenience of drawing.
- the initial values of the deviation vectors E and ER are also set to arbitrary non-zero values.
- the initial value of the deviation vector E is indicated by the initial value Es
- the initial value of the deviation vector ER is indicated by the initial value ERs. Note that the initial value ERs of the deviation vector ER may be the same as the initial value Es of the deviation vector E.
- FIG. 15 shows the operation patterns of the deviation vectors E and ER and the output signal vector x when the beatless control unit 18A according to the third embodiment executes beatless control when the rotation amount ⁇ R is in an optimal state.
- the deviation vector locus Et which is the locus of the deviation vector E
- the deviation vector locus ERt which is the locus of the deviation vector ER after the rotation calculation
- the amount of rotation ⁇ R is ideal, the deviation vectors E and ER move in the shortest distance from their initial values Es and ERs toward the ideal value Ei (origin), which is the ideal point for the deviation vectors E and ER.
- the output signal vector x must also move in the shortest distance from its initial value xs toward the ideal value xi, which is the ideal point for the output signal vector x.
- the beatless control unit 18A can move the deviation vectors E, ER toward the ideal value Ei in the shortest distance by optimizing the rotation amount ⁇ R.
- the direction of the deviation vector ER as viewed from the origin can be considered the search direction of the output signal vector x.
- the search direction of beatless control can be said to be the approximate direction of travel of the output signal vector x.
- the sector area (search direction image SD1) shown in Fig. 15 corresponds to the field of view when the rotation amount ⁇ R is the optimal value.
- the ideal value xi of the output signal vector x is on the extension of the search direction, so the search for the ideal value xi of the output signal vector x is successful and smooth.
- the sector-shaped regions (search direction images SD2 and SD3) shown in FIG. 16 correspond to the field of view when the rotation amount ⁇ R is within a range of less than ⁇ 90 degrees from the optimal value. In this case, there is a slight deviation between the direction of the ideal value xi of the output signal vector x and the search direction.
- the internal integral control (integral control by integral control units 203A and 203B) in the beatless control unit 18A allows for a slight deviation in the search direction, so the beatless control unit 18A can cause the deviation vectors E and ER to ultimately reach the ideal value Ei.
- the output signal vector x does not move toward the ideal value xi of the output signal vector x in the shortest distance, the deviation vectors E and ER decrease in a spiral manner.
- the sector-shaped regions (search direction images SD4, SD5, and SD6) shown in FIG. 17 correspond to the field of view when the rotation amount ⁇ R is more than ⁇ 90 degrees away from the optimal value.
- the beatless control unit 18A does not decrease the deviation vectors E and ER as intended even when the output signal vector x is changed, so the search direction cannot be uniquely determined and the beatless control unit 18A manipulates the output signal vector x so that the deviation vectors E and ER are directed toward a point different from the ideal value Ei.
- the beatless control unit 18A increases the deviation vectors E and ER along a spiral trajectory, resulting in beatless control failure.
- the beatless control unit 18A in preparation for the case where the deviation vectors E and ER behave as shown in Fig. 17, the beatless control unit 18A is provided with a search failure detection unit 105 that detects a failure in searching for the optimal value of the rotation amount ⁇ R.
- the cause of the search failure in the operation described in Fig. 17 is that the search direction was inappropriate (in other words, the rotation amount ⁇ R was inappropriate). If the search fails, the beatless control unit 18A detects the search failure and corrects the search direction, thereby eventually being able to successfully search for the optimal value of the rotation amount ⁇ R.
- Fig. 18 shows an image of the operation when, after a search for the optimal value of the rotation amount ⁇ R has failed, the search direction is corrected and the search is performed again. That is, the behavior shown in Fig. 18 is the behavior when, when the beatless control unit 18A detects a search failure, it adjusts the rotation amount ⁇ R and resets the rotation amount ⁇ R to an appropriate value. Note that, in Fig. 18 as in Fig. 17, the points of the deviation vectors E and ER when a search failure is detected are indicated by deviation vectors Ef and ERf, respectively.
- the amount of rotation before correction is indicated by the amount of rotation B ⁇ R
- the amount of rotation after correction is indicated by the amount of rotation A ⁇ R
- the search direction image SD8 shows the search direction image after the beatless control unit 18A adjusts the amount of rotation B ⁇ R with respect to the search direction image SD7 when a search failure is detected.
- the beatless control unit 18A adjusts the amount of rotation B ⁇ R
- the amount of rotation becomes the amount of rotation A ⁇ R
- the locus of the output signal vector x after the rotation amount B ⁇ R has been adjusted is indicated by locus xt2.
- locus of the deviation vector ER rotated by the adjusted rotation amount A ⁇ R is indicated by deviation vector locus ERt2.
- the locus of the deviation vector E rotated by the adjusted rotation amount A ⁇ R is indicated by deviation vector locus Et2.
- FIG. 18 illustrates a case where the amount of rotation ⁇ R can be adjusted to an optimum value by adjusting the amount of rotation ⁇ R by one degree.
- the optimum value of the amount of rotation ⁇ R is unknown, so the amount of rotation ⁇ R is adjusted little by little over multiple times by the integral control units 203A and 203B.
- the beatless control unit 18A may continuously correct the rotation amount ⁇ R during beatless control operation by a method that combines a cross product calculation and PID control, which will be described later.
- This process of correcting the rotation amount ⁇ R may cause the deviation vector E to approach the origin along a complex deviation vector locus Et as shown in Fig. 14.
- the deviation vector E may approach the origin along a linear deviation vector locus Et2.
- beatless control it is unknown at what point the ideal value xi of the output signal vector x is, and if the output signal vector x is manipulated in an inappropriate direction, beat vibrations will increase, so the search for the ideal value xi of the output signal vector x must be carried out carefully. For this reason, in embodiment 3, the beatless control unit 18A appropriately corrects the search direction of beatless control to ensure that the output signal vector x reaches the ideal value xi.
- FIG. 19 is a diagram showing the configuration of the automatic search unit of the beatless control unit according to the third embodiment.
- those that achieve the same functions as the automatic search unit 104 of the first embodiment shown in FIG. 8 are given the same reference numerals, and redundant explanations will be omitted.
- Automatic search unit 104A of embodiment 3 differs from automatic search unit 104 of embodiment 2 in that it has a rotation amount adjustment unit 206 instead of rotation amount adjustment unit 205.
- Rotation amount adjustment unit 206 receives a search direction correction signal from search failure detection unit 105. Upon receiving the search direction correction signal, rotation amount adjustment unit 206 adjusts the amount of rotation ⁇ R. Rotation amount adjustment unit 206 outputs the adjusted amount of rotation ⁇ R to rotation calculation unit 202.

- Fig. 22 is a diagram showing a third behavior of the deviation vector when the beatless control unit according to the third embodiment automatically searches for the manipulated variable of the voltage phase.
- the horizontal axis represents the cosine component (e cos ), and the vertical axis represents the sin component (e sin ).
- 20 to 22 schematically show the behavior of the deviation vector E, which is composed of e cos and e sin , when the automatic search unit 104A automatically searches for the manipulated variable ⁇ b of the voltage phase.
- the automatic search unit 104A can determine whether the automatic search for the manipulated variable ⁇ b of the voltage phase is being performed appropriately by examining the deviation vector E and the time differential vector (d/dt)E of the deviation vector E.
- the time differential vector (d/dt)E of the deviation vector E may be referred to as the time differential vector (d/dt)E.
- the automatic search unit 104A determines that the automatic search is being performed well. Furthermore, when the direction of the time differential vector (d/dt)E is inward (toward the origin) from the perpendicular line of the deviation vector E, as in the second behavior of the deviation vector E shown in Figure 21, the automatic search unit 104A determines that the automatic search is being performed fairly appropriately.
- the automatic search unit 104A determines that the automatic search is not being performed appropriately.

- the automatic search unit 104A evaluates whether beatless control is being performed appropriately using a quantitative numerical value (evaluation value) in order to correct the rotation amount ⁇ R.
- the automatic search unit 104A corrects the rotation amount ⁇ R by a correction amount corresponding to the evaluation value.
- FIG. 23 is a diagram illustrating the evaluation value used by the automatic search unit according to the third embodiment to evaluate whether beatless control is being performed appropriately.
- the horizontal axis of FIG. 23 represents the cosine component, and the vertical axis represents the sinusoidal component.
- the automatic search unit 104A evaluates the appropriateness of the beatless control operation, for example, by using the cross product of the deviation vector E and the time differential vector (d/dt)E of the deviation vector E (the area of the parallelogram formed by the two vectors).
- the evaluation value for evaluating whether the beatless control is being performed appropriately is indicated as Cd .
- Cd is the cross product of the deviation vector E and the time differential vector (d/dt)E of the deviation vector E.
- the automatic search unit 104A reduces the amount of correction to the rotation amount ⁇ R as the area of the parallelogram formed by the deviation vector E and the time differential vector (d/dt)E of the deviation vector E decreases.
- the amount of correction to the rotation amount ⁇ R decreases as the angle between the deviation vector E and the time differential vector (d/dt) E approaches 180 degrees or approaches 0 degrees.
- the automatic search unit 104A increases the amount of correction to the rotation amount ⁇ R as the angle between the deviation vector E and the time differential vector (d/dt)E approaches 90 degrees.

- the deviation e sin is input to a pseudo differentiator 302B and a multiplier 303A.
- the pseudo differentiator 302A calculates (d/dt)e cos by differentiating the deviation e cos with respect to time t and passing the result through a low-pass filter, and outputs the result to the multiplier 303A.
- the multiplier 303A multiplies e sin by (d/dt)e cos and outputs the multiplication result to the subtractor 304.
- the pseudo differentiator 302B calculates (d/dt)e sin by differentiating the deviation e sin with respect to time t and passing it through a low-pass filter, and outputs the result to the multiplier 303B.
- the multiplier 303B multiplies e cos by (d/dt)e sin and outputs the multiplication result to the subtractor 304.
- the subtractor 304 calculates an evaluation value Cd by subtracting the multiplication result output from the multiplier 303B from the multiplication result output from the multiplier 303A.
- the subtractor 304 outputs Cd to the dead zone 305.
- the dead zone 305 stops adjusting the rotation amount ⁇ R after the beatless control has converged to the final value. Since it is undesirable in terms of the stability of the beatless control to adjust the rotation amount ⁇ R more than necessary, the rotation amount adjustment unit 206 of embodiment 3 stops adjusting the rotation amount ⁇ R by using the dead zone 305 after the beatless control has converged to the final value. - the adjustment of the rotation amount ⁇ R may be performed by a PI control unit that performs PI control. If better control results can be expected, the rotation amount ⁇ R may also be adjusted using another type of control unit or AI.
- the rotation amount adjustment unit 206 changes the rotation amount ⁇ R , the beatless control operation is optimized and the evaluation value Cd decreases.
- the evaluation value Cd decreases to a specific value, the change in the rotation amount ⁇ R stops. At this time, the rotation amount ⁇ R has reached an appropriate value, so the deviation vector E eventually converges to zero.

Description
交流電動機を駆動するためにAC(Alternating Current、交流)-DC(Direct Current、直流)コンバータとDC-ACコンバータ(インバータ)とを組み合わせた駆動装置が多用されている。

変調部13は、インバータ11を動作させるためのPWM(Pulse Width Modulation)信号を決定する。
また、自動探索部104は、AI(Artificial Intelligence、人工知能)または機械学習を用いて操作量θbを探索してもよい。
メモリ92は、RAM(Random Access Memory)、ROM(Read Only Memory)、フラッシュメモリー、EPROM(Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)、EEPROM(登録商標)(Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)といった不揮発性または揮発性の半導体メモリを例示できる。
積分制御部203Aは、ycosに対応する偏差eRcos(回転演算されたcos成分)を積分し、積分制御部203Bは、ysinに対応する偏差eRsin(回転演算されたsin成分)を積分する。
例えば、自動探索部104は、PI(Proportional-Integral、比例積分)制御を行う制御部を用いてもよいし、PID(Proportional-Integral-Differential、比例積分微分)制御を行う制御部を用いてもよい。
