Description

センサシステム、座席、及びセンサユニット
 本開示は、センサシステム、座席、及びセンサユニットに関する。
 本出願は、2024年3月25日出願の日本出願第2024-047856号に基づく優先権を主張し、前記日本出願に記載された全ての記載内容を援用するものである。
 近年、乗用車等の車両においては、車両内の居室性向上を目的として、車両内の温度等車両内の状態を検知するセンサが配置されることがある。
 このようなセンサを、有線によって給電しようとすると、配線が複雑になるとともにコストアップや重量増の要因となるおそれがある。そこで、センサに対して無線給電することが考えられる。
 例えば、特許文献1には、電波により電力を送電する無線給電システムに関する技術が開示されている。

 実施形態であるセンサシステムは、車両内に配置される送電アンテナを有する給電装置と、前記車両内に配置される座席の一部を構成する、誘電体素材からなるクッション体と、前記座席に設けられるセンサと、前記クッション体の内部に配置され、前記送電アンテナからの送電電力を受電し前記センサへ与えられる電力を出力する受電アンテナ回路と、を有する。

[本開示が解決しようとする課題]
 センサに対して無線給電する場合、送電電力を受電しセンサへ電力を与える受電アンテナ回路が必要となる。
 この受電アンテナ回路のアンテナ素子の大きさは、受信する電波の波長に依存する。無線給電による電波の周波数は、920GHzから数GHzである。この電波を受信するためのアンテナ素子の長さは、150mm程度となることがある。また、アンテナ素子の配置は、送電アンテナの位置によって制限されることがある。
 車両内は比較的狭小であり、配置が制限されることを考慮すると、アンテナ素子を車両内に適切に配置することが困難な場合がある。
 ここで、アンテナ素子の長さを短くし受電アンテナ回路を小型化することは可能である。
 しかし、この場合、アンテナ素子が無指向性となり、受信電力が低下してしまうという問題が生じる。
 そこで、本開示では、受電アンテナ回路の受信電力を高めることができる技術の提供を目的とする。
[本開示の効果]
 本開示によれば、受電アンテナ回路の受信電力を高めることができる。
[本開示の実施形態の説明]
 最初に実施形態の内容を列記して説明する。
[実施形態の概要]
(1)本開示の実施形態に係るセンサシステムは、車両内に配置される送電アンテナを有する給電装置と、前記車両内に配置される座席の一部を構成する、誘電体素材からなるクッション体と、前記座席に設けられるセンサと、前記クッション体の内部に配置され、前記送電アンテナからの送電電力を受電し前記センサへ与えられる電力を出力する受電アンテナ回路と、を有する。
 上記構成によれば、受電アンテナ回路は、クッション体の内部に配置されている。よって、受電アンテナ回路は、送電アンテナから放射されクッション体を通過した電波を受電する。
 ここで、座席の一部を構成するクッション体の表面は、全体として凸曲面であり、かつ、クッション体が誘電体素材からなる。このため、クッション体に入射する電波はクッション体内部の方向へ向けて集中するように屈折する。つまり、クッション体は、誘電体レンズのように機能する。
 これにより、クッション体を通過して到達する電波の利得が高くなるように、クッション体の内部における受電アンテナ回路の位置を適切に設定することで、受電アンテナ回路の受信電力を高めることができる。
 なお、前記センサシステムは、前記センサの出力を無線送信する送信機をさらに備えていてもよく、送信機を備えることにより、センサの出力を外部へ出力することができる。
(2)上記(1)のセンサシステムにおいて、前記クッション体は、本体部と、前記本体部の内部に設けられ、前記受電アンテナ回路を収容する内部空間と、を有していてもよい。
 この場合、受電アンテナ回路をクッション体の内部に容易に配置することができる。
(3)上記(2)のセンサシステムにおいて、前記本体部が、前記送電アンテナ側の第1面と、前記第1面に対向する第2面と、を有する場合、前記内部空間は、前記第2面寄りに設けられていてもよい。
 この場合、内部空間を第2面寄りに設けることで、送電アンテナと、受電アンテナ回路と、の間に介在するクッション体の本体部の厚みがより多く確保される。この結果、より効果的に受電アンテナ回路の受信電力を高めることができる。
(4)上記(2)または(3)のセンサシステムにおいて、前記内部空間の内面と、前記受電アンテナ回路の外面と、の間に、前記誘電体素材よりも誘電正接が低い絶縁層をさらに有していてもよい。
 この場合、絶縁層を設けることで、クッション体の誘電正接による電力損失を低減することができる。
(5)また、上記(4)のセンサシステムにおいて、前記送電アンテナから放射される電波の波長をλとしたとき、前記絶縁層の厚みは、0.01λ以上、0.04λ以下であってもよい。
 絶縁層の厚みが0.02λより小さい場合、クッション体による電力の損失が相対的に大きくなり、受電アンテナ回路の受信電力に低下が生じる。絶縁層の厚みが0.05λより大きい場合、クッション体による電力の損失を低減する効果に飽和が見られ、絶縁層の厚みが不必要に大きくなる。
 絶縁層の厚みを、0.02λ以上、0.05λ以下とすることで、クッション体による電力の損失を効果的に低減することができる。
(6)また、上記(4)または(5)のセンサシステムにおいて、前記絶縁層は、発泡スチロール層を含んでいてもよい。
 この場合、内部空間の壁部と、受電アンテナ回路と、の間に発泡スチロールを介在させれば、絶縁層を設けることができる。
(7)また、上記(4)または上記(5)のセンサシステムにおいて、前記絶縁層は、空気層を含んでいてもよい。
 この場合、内部空間の内面と、受電アンテナ回路と、の間に隙間を設ければ、絶縁層を設けることができる。
(8)また、上記(4)から(7)のいずれか1つのセンサシステムにおいて、前記内部空間に収容され、前記受電アンテナ回路を内部に収容することで前記絶縁層を画定する樹脂ケースをさらに備えていてもよい。
 この場合、樹脂ケースに受電アンテナ回路を収容することで、内部空間の内面と受電アンテナ回路との間に容易に絶縁層を設けることができる。
(9)また、上記(1)のセンサシステムにおいて、前記受電アンテナ回路が、アンテナ素子と、前記アンテナ素子が実装されたアンテナ基板と、を有する場合、前記アンテナ基板がフレキシブル基板であってもよい。
 この場合、クッション体の形状に応じてアンテナ基板を変形させることができる。よって、受電アンテナ回路の受信電力が高まるように変形させたアンテナ基板をクッション体の内部に配置することができる。
(10)上記(1)から(9)のいずれか1つのセンサシステムにおいて、前記座席の一部は、ヘッドレストを含むことがある。
 この場合、送電アンテナを車両内の天井側に配置すれば、受電アンテナ回路と送電アンテナとを、接近させて配置することができる。
(11)また、他の観点からみた実施形態は、車両内に配置される座席である。この座席は、センサと、誘電体素材からなるクッション体と、前記クッション体の内部に配置され、前記車両内に配置される送電アンテナからの送電電力を受電し前記センサへ与えられる電力を出力する受電アンテナ回路と、を有する。
(12)他の観点からみた実施形態は、車両内に配置される座席に設けられるセンサユニットである。このセンサユニットは、センサと、前記車両内に配置される送電アンテナからの送電電力を受電し前記センサへ与えられる電力を出力する受電アンテナ回路と、前記受電アンテナ回路を収容する収容空間を内部に有し、前記座席の一部を構成する誘電体素材からなるクッション体の内部に配置される樹脂ケースと、を備える。
 上記構成によれば、受電アンテナ回路を内部に収容しクッション体の内部に配置される樹脂ケースを備えるので、受電アンテナ回路を、誘電体素材からなるクッション体の内部に配置することができる。
 これにより、受電アンテナ回路の受信電力を高めることができる。
(13)上記(12)のセンサユニットにおいて、前記受電アンテナ回路がアンテナ基板を有する場合、前記収容空間の内面に設けられ、前記アンテナ基板と前記内面との間に所定の間隔が設けられる位置で前記アンテナ基板を支持する支持部材をさらに備えていてもよい。
 この場合、アンテナ基板と、樹脂ケースと、の間に、空気層を含む絶縁層を設けることができ、クッション体による電力の損失を低減することができる。
(14)上記(13)のセンサユニットにおいて、前記支持部材は、前記収容空間に収容された回路基板と、前記樹脂ケースの内面に設けられ、前記回路基板を前記内面に対して支持する支柱と、前記アンテナ基板と前記回路基板とを電気的に接続するワイヤと、をさらに備えていてもよい。
 この場合、回路基板、支柱、およびワイヤによって、アンテナ基板を支持することができる。
(15)上記(12)のセンサユニットにおいて、前記センサと、前記センサに対して別体である前記樹脂ケースと、を物理的に接続し、前記樹脂ケース側から前記センサへ電力を供給する線路をさらに備えていてもよい。
 この場合、センサと、樹脂ケースと、は、線路を介して別体であるので、受電アンテナ回路をクッション体の内部に配置しつつ、センサは、クッション体の外部に配置することができる。
[実施形態の詳細]
 以下、好ましい実施形態について図面を参照しつつ説明する。
 なお、以下に記載する各実施形態の少なくとも一部を任意に組み合わせてもよい。
〔全体構成について〕
 図1は、実施形態に係るセンサシステムを備える車両の一例を示す側面図である。図1では、車両1の一部を切り欠き、車室1a内を示している。
 図1中、車両1は、電気自動車や、内燃機関自動車、ハイブリッド自動車等を含む車両(乗用車)である。
 車両1に設けられるセンサシステム4は、車室1a内に配置されたセンサによって車室1a内の状態を検知するシステムである。
 センサシステム4は、給電装置6と、複数のセンサユニット8と、を有する。なお、センサシステム4は、一つのセンサユニット8を有する場合もある。センサシステム4が複数のセンサユニット8を有する場合、車室1a内の複数箇所にセンサユニット8を配置することができる。
 給電装置6は、車室1a内の天井面1a1に設置されている。給電装置6は、送電アンテナ6aを有している。給電装置6は、車室1a内の送電アンテナ6aから給電用の電波を放射することで複数のセンサユニット8に対して無線給電を行う。
 複数のセンサユニット8は、それぞれ、車室1a内の状態を検知するセンサを含む。センサユニット8は、センサの出力を示す出力情報を無線送信する機能を有する。
 また、センサユニット8は、給電装置6からの給電用の電波を受信し、電力に変換する機能を有する。センサユニット8は、給電装置6から給電される電力によって動作するように構成されている。よって、センサユニット8は、外部の他の装置との間で有線接続されることなく給電され、動作することができる。
 なお、センサユニット8の構成については、後に詳述する。
 複数のセンサユニット8は、車室1a内の複数の座席10に設けられている。
 複数の座席10は、それぞれ、座部および背もたれ部を含むシート部11と、ヘッドレスト12と、を有する。本実施形態において、センサユニット8は、ヘッドレスト12に設けられている。ヘッドレスト12は、センサユニット8を内蔵している。つまり、ヘッドレスト12は、センサシステム4におけるセンサであるとも言える。
 車両1は、電源14と、ECU(Electronic Control Unit)16と、を有する。
 電源14は、例えば、2次電池であり、鉛蓄電池、リチウムイオン電池、ニッケル水素電池等を含むほか、キャパシタ等も含む。電源14は、給電装置6に対する電力の供給源である。電源14は、車両1の各部へ与えられる電力の供給源でもある。また、電源14は、オルタネータやモータによって発電された電力を蓄電してもよい。
 ECU16は、車両1の各部の制御に関する処理を行う機能を有する。前記処理は、後述するように、センサユニット8の出力情報を用いる処理を含む。
 図2は、センサシステム4と、車両1の各部との関係を示す図である。
 図2に示すように、電源14は、給電装置6に接続される。給電装置6には、電源14からの電力が与えられる。給電装置6は、電源14から供給される電力に基づいて給電用の信号を生成し、送電アンテナ6aへ与える。送電アンテナ6aは、給電用の信号を給電用の電波として放射し、複数のセンサユニット8へ送信する。
 複数のセンサユニット8は、給電用の電波を受信することで得られる電力によって、車室1a内の状態を検知し、センサの出力を示す出力情報を無線送信する。複数のセンサユニット8は、ヘッドレスト12の内部で給電用の電波を受信する。
 車両1は、受信機18をさらに有する。受信機18は車室1a内に配置される。受信機18は、複数のセンサユニット8から送信される出力情報を受信し、出力情報をECU16へ与える。
 ECU16は、出力情報が与えられると、出力情報に基づいて、車室1a内の状態に関する制御を行う。例えば、ECU16は、出力情報に基づいて、車両1に搭載されたエアコンの制御を行う。
 図3は、センサユニット8の構成例を示すブロック図である。
 図3に示すように、センサユニット8は、レクテナ20と、電力制御回路22と、センサ24と、送信機26と、を備える。
 レクテナ20は、受電アンテナ20aと、整流回路20bと、を有する。受電アンテナ20aは、給電装置6からの給電用の電波を受信する。受電アンテナ20aは、受信した電波による電気信号を整流回路20bへ与える。整流回路20bは、受電アンテナ20aから与えられる電気信号を整流し直流電力に変換し、変換した直流電力を出力する。
 つまり、レクテナ20は、送電アンテナ6aからの送電電力を受電し、電力を出力する受電アンテナ回路を構成する。
 整流回路20bが出力する直流電力は、電力制御回路22へ与えられる。
 電力制御回路22は、レクテナ20から与えられる直流電力を所定電圧に変換し、変換した電力をセンサ24および送信機26へ与える機能を有する。また、電力制御回路22は、レクテナ20から与えられる直流電力を蓄電または放電し、センサ24および送信機26へ与える電力を制御する機能を有する。電力制御回路22は、センサ24および送信機26へ連続的に電力を与えてもよいし、センサ24および送信機26へ周期的に電力を与えてもよい。
 センサ24は、上述のように、車室1a内の状態を検知するためのセンサである。より具体的に、センサ24は、温度センサや、湿度センサ、加速度センサ、照度センサ等を含む。センサ24は、車室1a内の状態である温度や、湿度、加速度(振動)、照度等を検知する機能を有する。センサ24は、電力制御回路22から直流電力が与えられると、車室1a内の状態を検知した結果を示す出力を送信機26へ与える。
 送信機26は、送信アンテナ26aを有する。送信機26は、送信アンテナ26aを介して、車両1側の受信機18との間で無線通信を行う機能を有する。
 送信機26は、センサ24から与えられる出力を出力情報として無線送信する。送信機26は、電力制御回路22から直流電力が与えられると、受信機18との間で通信接続を行い、出力情報の無線送信を開始する。
 例えば、車両1のメインスイッチがオンにされると、給電装置6は複数のセンサユニット8への無線給電を開始する。
 これにより、複数のセンサユニット8は、給電装置6からの送電電力を受電する。給電装置6から電力が与えられることで、複数のセンサユニット8それぞれのセンサ24は車室1a内の状態の検知および検知結果の出力を開始する。さらに、送信機26は受信機18との間で通信接続を行い、出力情報の無線送信を開始する。なお、送信機26は、直流電力が与えられると、出力情報の無線送信を開始し、電力が与えられている間送信を継続してもよい。
 送信機26が送信した出力情報は、受信機18によって受信され、ECU16へ与えられる。
 出力情報が与えられたECU16は、出力情報から車室1a内の状態を示す情報を取得する。ECU16は、取得した車室1a内の状態を示す情報に基づいて、車室1a内の状態に関する制御を行う。
〔第1実施形態に係るヘッドレスト12について〕
 図4は、第1実施形態に係るヘッドレスト12の斜視図である。
 なお、以下の説明では、各図中、互いに直交する3方向をX方向、Y方向、及びZ方向とする。また、図1に示すように、X方向のうちの一方向をX1方向、X1方向の反対方向をX2方向とする。Y方向のうちの一方向をY1方向、Y1方向の反対方向をY2方向とする。Z方向のうちの一方向をZ1方向、Z1方向の反対方向をZ2方向とする。
 なお、X方向は前後方向、Y方向は左右方向、Z方向は上下方向である。また、Z1方向は上方向、X1方向は車両1の前側に向く方向、Y1方向は、車両1の前側を向いた搭乗者から見て左側に向く方向である。
 ヘッドレスト12は、丸みを帯びた枕状の部材である。ヘッドレスト12の上面12aおよび下面12bは、Y方向にほぼ平行である。また、ヘッドレスト12の上面12a、X1方向側の前面12c、X2方向側の後面12d、Y1方向側の左面12e、およびY2方向側の右面12fは、凸曲面を有する。なお、ここでいう凸曲面とは、対象面が全体として凸曲面であればよく、対象面を画定する4辺のうち対向する一対の辺同士の間の断面の輪郭形状が直線状であっても、残りの一対の辺同士の間の断面の輪郭形状が凸曲面であればよい。
 また、ヘッドレスト12の形状は、ヘッドレストとして機能すれば、図4に示す形状に限定されることはない。
 図5は、ヘッドレスト12の断面図である。図5では、X-Z平面に平行な断面を示している。
 ヘッドレスト12のX-Z平面に平行な断面の輪郭形状は、台形の各辺を凸曲線によって外方へ膨張させた形状を有している。
 図4および図5に示すように、ヘッドレスト12は、センサユニット8と、フレーム28と、クッション体32と、カバー34と、を含む。
 フレーム28は、鋼製のパイプ等を門形に形成した部材である。フレーム28は、ヘッドレスト12の内部に配置されたフレーム本体28bと、下面12bから突出した一対の突出部28aと、を有する。一対の突出部28aは、座席10のシート部11の背もたれ部の上端に差し込まれる。これによって、ヘッドレスト12は、背もたれ部の上端に固定される。
 クッション体32は、例えば、誘電体素材により形成された部材である。本実施形態では、誘電体素材としてポリウレタンが用いられている。クッション体32は弾力性を有している。クッション体32は、搭乗者の頭部がヘッドレスト12に当接する際の緩衝部材である。クッション体32は、ヘッドレスト12の全体形状を構成している。よって、クッション体32は、丸みを帯びた枕状の部材である。クッション体32の上面、前面、後面、左面、および右面は、凸曲面を有する。
 カバー34は、クッション体32の外面を覆っている。
 図5に示すように、クッション体32は、本体部36と、第1内部空間38と、第2内部空間40と、を有する。
 本体部36は、ポリウレタンにより形成された部材であり、クッション体32全体の形状を構成する。
 内部空間38、40は、本体部36の内部に設けられた空間である。
 第1内部空間38には、フレーム本体28bが収容される。第1内部空間38は、フレーム本体28bの外形に対応する形状に形成されている。また、第1内部空間38の内面は、フレーム本体28bに当接している。これにより、フレーム本体28bは、第1内部空間38での移動が制限される。よって、フレーム本体28bは、クッション体32の内部で保持される。言い換えると、クッション体32は、フレーム本体28bに保持される。
 第2内部空間40には、センサユニット8が収容される。本実施形態において、センサユニット8は、Y-Z平面に平行な1面を有している。この1面は、長辺および短辺を有する長方形である。よって、センサユニット8は、直方体形状を有する。よって、第2内部空間40は、センサユニット8の外形に応じて直方体形状に形成されている。また、第2内部空間40の内面40aは、センサユニット8に当接している。これにより、センサユニット8は、第2内部空間40での移動が制限される。よって、センサユニット8は、クッション体32の内部で保持される。
 なお、本実施形態において、センサユニット8は、図4に示すように、前記短辺がZ方向に沿うとともに、前記長辺がY方向に沿った状態で、クッション体32の内部で保持されるものとする。
 また、内部空間38、40は、本体部36の素材をくり抜くことで形成された空間であってもよいし、本体部36の素材内に切れ目を設け、その切れ目にフレーム本体28bおよびセンサユニット8を配置し、切れ目が弾性的に拡張されることで形成される空間であってもよい。
 第2内部空間40は、本体部36の下面36b寄りに設けられている。また、第2内部空間40は、本体部36の上下方向中心よりも下側に設けられている。
 このため、センサユニット8は、本体部36の内部において下面36b寄りに保持される。また、センサユニット8は、本体部36の内部において上下方向中心よりも下側に保持される。
〔センサユニット8について〕
 図6Aは、センサユニット8の断面図である。図6Aでは、センサユニット8がヘッドレスト12に配置されているときにおけるX-Y平面に平行な断面を示している。つまり、図6Aでは、後述する回路基板44、底面46a1等をY-Z平面に沿って配置した場合における各方向に基づいてセンサユニット8の各部を説明している。
 図6Aに示すように、センサユニット8は、レクテナ20の他、回路基板44と、樹脂ケース46と、を備える。
 樹脂ケース46は、ABS樹脂、POM樹脂、発泡スチロール等を用いて形成された直方体状の部材である。樹脂ケース46は、ケース本体46aと、蓋46bと、を備える。樹脂ケース46は、センサユニット8の外形を構成する。よって、センサユニット8が第2内部空間40に収容されたときに、樹脂ケース46は第2内部空間40の内面40aに接触する。
 樹脂ケース46の内部には、レクテナ20および回路基板44が収容されている。つまり、樹脂ケース46内の空間は、レクテナ20および回路基板44を収容する収容空間である。
 回路基板44は、上述の電力制御回路22、センサ24、および送信機26が実装されるリジット基板である。回路基板44は矩形板状を有する。
 回路基板44は、支柱48によって、底面46a1に固定されている。底面46a1は、ケース本体46aの内面であり、X1方向に向く面である。底面46a1は長方形状を有する。また、底面46a1はY-Z平面に沿っている。
 支柱48は、ケース本体46aの底面46a1から突出するように設けられている。支柱48は、底面46a1に対して回路基板44を支持する。このとき、回路基板44は、Y-Z平面に沿うように支持される。
 また、ケース本体46a(底面46a1)と回路基板44との間には、所定の間隔が設けられる。また、蓋46bの蓋面46b1と回路基板44との間にも、所定の間隔が設けられる。蓋面46b1は、蓋46bの内面であり、X2方向に向く面である。蓋面46b1は長方形状を有する。また、蓋面46b1はY-Z平面に沿っている。
 図6Bは、蓋46bを除いたときのセンサユニット8をX1方向側から見たときの図である。
 図6Bに示すように、レクテナ20は、アンテナ基板50と、受電アンテナ20aと、回路チップ52と、を有する。
 回路チップ52は、整流回路20bを含む回路チップである。
 アンテナ基板50は、矩形板状のリジット基板である。アンテナ基板50は、Y-Z平面に沿って配置されている。
 受電アンテナ20aおよび回路チップ52は、アンテナ基板50の第1面50aに実装されている。第1面50aは、アンテナ基板50において蓋46b側の面であり、X1方向に向く面である。
 受電アンテナ20aは、アンテナ素子20a1と、一対の線路20a2と、を含む。アンテナ素子20a1および一対の線路20a2は、第1面50a上にパターン形成された銅箔等の金属箔である。
 アンテナ素子20a1は、C形のループ状を有する。よって、本実施形態の受電アンテナ20aは、ループアンテナを構成する。
 センサユニット8がヘッドレスト12の内部に配置されたとき、アンテナ素子20a1の中心Cは、ヘッドレスト12のY方向の中心に位置する。これにより、アンテナ素子20a1は、Y方向においてヘッドレスト12の中心に配置される。
 一対の線路20a2は、アンテナ素子20a1の両端と、回路チップ52と、を接続する。
 本実施形態のレクテナ20が有する受電アンテナ20aは、比較的小型化された高インピーダンスのループアンテナである。受電アンテナ20aのインピーダンスは、整流回路20bと整合するように設計される。
 このように、本実施形態のレクテナ20は、小型の高インピーダンスのループアンテナを採用することで、コンパクト化が図られている。
 例えば、本実施形態のレクテナ20のアンテナ素子20a1の直径は、数10mmである。但し、アンテナ素子20a1が小型であるため、レクテナ20は無指向性である。
 回路チップ52は、回路基板44に実装される電力制御回路22に接続される。
 アンテナ基板50と、回路基板44と、は一対のワイヤ54によって電気的に接続されている。
 一対のワイヤ54は、回路チップ52と、回路基板44の電力制御回路22と、を接続する。
 一対のワイヤ54におけるアンテナ基板50側の端部は、アンテナ基板50の第1面50aにおけるY1方向側の端縁に固定されている。一対のワイヤ54における回路基板44側の端部は、回路基板44の基板面44aにおけるY2方向側の端縁に固定されている。これにより、一対のワイヤ54は、アンテナ基板50の端縁と、回路基板44の端縁と、を繋いでいる。
 さらに一対のワイヤ54は、アンテナ基板50が樹脂ケース46に接触しないようにアンテナ基板50を支持している。
 つまり、回路基板44と、支柱48と、一対のワイヤ54と、は、支持部材47を構成する。支持部材47は、アンテナ基板50が樹脂ケース46に接触しないようにアンテナ基板50を支持する部材である。
 支持部材47によって、アンテナ基板50の第1面50aと、蓋面46b1との間には、所定の間隔が設けられる。また、アンテナ基板50の第2面50bと、底面46a1との間にも、所定の間隔が設けられる。第2面50bは、アンテナ基板50においてケース本体46a側の面であり、X2方向に向く面である。
 これにより、レクテナ20(受電アンテナ回路)と、第2内部空間40の内面40aとの間に、絶縁層56(図6A)が設けられる。この絶縁層56は、空気層である。
 このように、樹脂ケース46は、第2内部空間40に収容され、レクテナ20を内部に収容することで絶縁層56を画定する。
 本実施形態のシステム4は、樹脂ケース46を備えるので、樹脂ケース46にレクテナ20を収容すれば、第2内部空間40の内面40aとレクテナ20との間に容易に絶縁層56を設けることができる。
 絶縁層56は、上述のように、空気層である。よって、絶縁層56は、クッション体32の素材であるポリウレタンよりも誘電正接が低い。
 このため、例えば、レクテナ20と、クッション体32の本体部36と、が直接接触する場合と比較して、クッション体32の誘電正接によって生じるレクテナ20の受信電力の損失を低減することができる。
 また、送電アンテナ6aから放射される電波の波長をλとしたとき、絶縁層56の厚みtは、0.02λ以上、0.05λ以下に設定されることがある。なお厚みtは、第1面50aと蓋面46b1との厚みt1、および、第2面50bと底面46a1との厚みt2を含む。絶縁層56は、少なくとも、アンテナ基板50の外面(第1面50aおよび第2面50b)に存在する。
 厚みtが0.02λより小さい場合、クッション体32による電力の損失が相対的に大きくなり、レクテナ20の受信電力に低下が生じる。厚みtが0.05λより大きい場合、クッション体32による電力の損失を低減する効果に飽和が見られ、樹脂ケース46の厚みが不必要に大きくなり、ヘッドレスト12内に適切に配置することが困難になる。
 厚みtを、0.02λ以上、0.05λ以下とすることで、クッション体32による電力の損失を効果的に低減することができる。さらに、樹脂ケース46を比較的コンパクトにでき、ヘッドレスト12内への適切な配置が容易になる。
 上記構成によれば、レクテナ20(受電アンテナ回路)は、クッション体32の内部に配置されている。よって、レクテナ20は、送電アンテナ6aから放射されクッション体32を通過した電波を受電する。
 ここで、ヘッドレスト12のクッション体32の表面は、全体として凸曲面であり、かつ、クッション体32が誘電体素材からなる。このため、クッション体32に入射する電波はクッション体32内部の方向へ向けて集中するように屈折する。つまり、クッション体32は、誘電体レンズのように機能する。
 これにより、クッション体32を通過して到達する電波の利得が高くなるように、クッション体32の内部におけるレクテナ20の位置を適切に設定することで、レクテナ20の受信電力を高めることができる。
 また、上記構成によれば、レクテナ20の受信電力を高めることができるので、給電装置6における送電電力を抑えることが可能となり、本システム4を搭載する車両1の電費を高めることができる。さらに、本システム4以外の他の無線通信システムへの干渉を低減することができる。
 また、本実施形態のクッション体32は、本体部36と、第2内部空間40と、を有しているので、レクテナ20を含むセンサユニット8をクッション体32の内部に容易に配置することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、送電アンテナ6aが天井面1a1におけるヘッドレスト12の直上に設けられている。
 よって、本体部36の上面36a(第1面)は送電アンテナ6a側に位置する。本体部36の下面36b(第2面)は、上面36aに対向する。第2内部空間40は、上面36aよりも下面36b寄りに設けられている。
 これにより、送電アンテナ6aと、レクテナ20と、の間に介在する本体部36の厚みがより多く確保される。この結果、より効果的にレクテナ20の受信電力を高めることができる。
 また、本実施形態のクッション体32は、座席10の一部であるヘッドレスト12を構成するので、レクテナ20と送電アンテナ6aとを、接近させて配置することができる。
 なお、本実施形態では、絶縁層56が、空気層である場合を例示した。しかし、絶縁層56は、クッション体32の素材であるポリウレタンよりも誘電正接が低ければよい。よって、絶縁層56は、例えば、発泡スチロール層であってもよい。発泡スチロール層は、ポリウレタンよりも誘電正接が低い。よって、絶縁層56が発泡スチロール層である場合も、クッション体32の誘電正接によって生じるレクテナ20の受信電力の損失を低減することができる。
 また、絶縁層56が発泡スチロール層である場合、図7に示すように、絶縁層56は第1部材56aと、第2部材56bと、によって構成することができる。
 第1部材56aおよび第2部材56bは、発泡スチロールにより形成された部材である。第1部材56aは、レクテナ20のX2方向側に配置され、アンテナ基板50の第2面50bに当接する。第2部材56bは、レクテナ20のX1方向側に配置され、アンテナ基板50の第1面50aに当接する。
 レクテナ20および回路基板44は、第1部材56aと、第2部材56bと、の間に挟まれて保持される。
 この場合、絶縁層56は、第2内部空間40の内面40aと、レクテナ20と、に接触する。よって、上述の樹脂ケース46を用いることなく、絶縁層56を有するセンサユニット8を構成することができる。このように、樹脂ケース46を省略することで、センサユニット8の構成を簡素化することができる。
 また、本実施形態のセンサユニット8の樹脂ケース46が、レクテナ20と、センサ24と、を収容する場合を例示した。しかし、センサ24は、樹脂ケース46の外部に設けてもよい。
 例えば、図8に示すように、センサユニット8が、センサ24と、樹脂ケース46と、を接続する線路60を備えていてもよい。樹脂ケース46には、レクテナ20および回路基板44が収容される。回路基板44にはセンサ24以外の電力制御回路22および送信機26が実装される。線路60は、樹脂ケース46側からセンサ24へ電力を供給したり、センサ24の出力を樹脂ケース46側へ与えたりするための線路である。
 この場合、センサ24と、樹脂ケース46と、は、別体である。センサ24と、樹脂ケース46と、は、線路60を介して物理的に接続されている。よって、レクテナ20をクッション体32の内部に配置しつつ、センサ24は、クッション体32の外部に配置することができる。これにより、車室1a内の状態を検出するためにより適切な環境にセンサ24を配置することができ、センサ24の精度が高められる。
〔第2実施形態に係るヘッドレスト12について〕
 図9は、第2実施形態に係るヘッドレスト12の断面図である。
 本実施形態は、レクテナ20に含まれるアンテナ基板50がFPC(Flexible Printed Circuits:フレキシブル基板)であり、レクテナ20が湾曲している点において第1実施形態と相違している。また、本実施形態のセンサユニット8は、回路基板44を収容する樹脂ケース62を備えており、レクテナ20と、回路基板44を含む樹脂ケース62と、が別体とされている点において第1実施形態と相違している。
 本実施形態の第2内部空間40は、本体部36の上面36a寄りに設けられている。また、第2内部空間40は、上面36aの形状に沿うように湾曲している。
 よって、レクテナ20は、本体部36の内部において上面36a寄りに保持されている。また、レクテナ20は、フレーム本体28b(フレーム28)の上方に保持されている。さらに、レクテナ20のアンテナ基板50は、第2内部空間40の形状に応じて、上面36aの形状に沿うように湾曲している。
 レクテナ20と、第2内部空間40の内面40aと、の間には、絶縁層56が設けられている。絶縁層56は、発泡スチロール層である。絶縁層56は、発泡スチロールからなる第1部材56aと、第2部材56bと、によって構成される。レクテナ20は、第1部材56aと、第2部材56bと、の間に挟まれて保持される。第1部材56aおよび第2部材56bは、第2内部空間40の形状に応じて、上面36aの形状に沿うように湾曲している。よって、第1部材56aおよび第2部材56bは、アンテナ基板50を湾曲させつつアンテナ基板50を保持する。
 上述のように、本実施形態のセンサユニット8は、回路基板44を収容する樹脂ケース62を備える。樹脂ケース62は、第3内部空間41内に収容される。第3内部空間41は、本体部36の後面36d側に設けられた空間である。第3内部空間41は、後面36dにおいて露出している。
 よって、第3内部空間41に収容される樹脂ケース62も露出している。これにより、回路基板44に実装されるセンサ24は、車室1a内の状態を検出するためにより適切な環境に配置される。この結果、センサ24の精度が高められる。
 樹脂ケース62と、レクテナ20と、は線路64によって接続される。レクテナ20が出力する直流電力は、線路64を介して回路基板44に実装された各部に与えられる。
 本実施形態では、アンテナ基板50がFPCであるので、クッション体32(本体部36)の形状に応じてアンテナ基板50を変形させることができる。よって、レクテナ20の受信電力が高まるように変形させたアンテナ基板50をクッション体32の内部に配置することができる。
 また、本実施形態では、レクテナ20が本体部36の上面36a寄りに保持されているので、送電アンテナ6aにより近い位置に配置することができる。
〔その他〕
 上記各実施形態では、座席10のうち、ヘッドレスト12にのみセンサユニット8を設けた場合を例示したが、座席10の一部を構成するクッション体の内部にセンサユニット8を設ければよい。より具体的には、座席10のうち、誘電体素材からなるクッション体を有するシート部11に含まれる座部や背もたれ部にセンサユニット8を設けてもよい。
 また、上記各実施形態では、センサユニット8がクッション体32の上寄りおよび下寄りに設けられている場合を例示したが、センサユニット8は、クッション体32の本体部36内に配置されていればよく、これにより、レクテナ20の受信電力を高めることができる。
 また、上記各実施形態では、クッション体32の本体部36がポリウレタンによって形成された場合得を例示したが、ポリウレタン以外の誘電体素材を用いてもよい。
 上記第1実施形態では、レクテナ20のアンテナ基板50がY-Z平面に沿って配置される場合を例示したが、アンテナ基板50はX-Y平面に沿って配置されていてもよいし、X-Z平面に沿って配置されていてもよい。この場合においても、第1実施形態と同様、レクテナ20の受信電力を高めることができる。
 また、上記各実施形態では、レクテナ20の受電アンテナ20aがループアンテナを構成する場合を例示したが、受電アンテナ20aは、ダイポールアンテナや、平面アンテナ等、他のアンテナであってもよい。
〔検証試験について〕
 次に、本システム4による効果について行った検証試験について説明する。
 試験方法としては、本システム4が備えるヘッドレスト12およびレクテナ20のモデルを構築し、コンピュータによるシミュレーションによって評価対象となる数値を求め評価した。以下に実施した4つの試験の内容を示す。
 試験1:ヘッドレスト12に対するレクテナ20の最適な位置の検証
 試験2:絶縁層56の厚みの検証
 試験3:第1実施形態に係るレクテナ20の指向特性の評価
 試験4:第2実施形態に係るレクテナ20の指向特性の評価
〔試験1について〕
 試験1では、第1実施形態に係るヘッドレスト12のモデルを用い、ヘッドレスト12に対するレクテナ20の相対的な位置を変化させたときのレクテナ20の利得の変化を求めた。試験1では、周波数920MHzの電波によって給電したときの利得を求めた。
 なお、送電アンテナ6aは、ヘッドレスト12のZ方向直上に位置するものとした。
 図10は、ヘッドレスト12に対するレクテナ20の位置を説明するための図である。図10中、距離Lは、上面12a(上面36a)から、アンテナ素子20a1の中心CまでのZ方向の距離である。幅Wは、ヘッドレスト12(クッション体32)のY方向の寸法である。なお、レクテナ20のアンテナ素子20a1の直径Dは40mmに設定し、ヘッドレスト12のX方向における最大寸法は30mmとした。
 試験1では、距離Lおよび幅Wを変化させたときのレクテナ20の利得の変化をシミュレーションによって求めた。
 距離Lを変化させる場合、幅Wは150mmとした。
 また、レクテナ20のX方向の位置は、以下のようにして設定した。まず、レクテナ20をヘッドレスト12のX方向の中心に配置し、レクテナ20の利得が最大となる距離Lを求め、その後、距離Lを固定し、レクテナ20の利得が最大となるレクテナ20のX方向の位置を求めた。この求めた位置を、レクテナ20のX方向の基準の位置とし、距離Lおよび幅Wを変化させた。
 幅Wを変化させる場合、距離Lは130mmとした。
 図11Aは、距離Lを変化させたときのレクテナ20の利得の変化を示すグラフである。図11A中、横軸は距離L、縦軸は利得を示している。
 図11A中、グラフg1は、Z軸方向におけるY方向成分の利得の変化を示している。グラフg2は、Z軸方向におけるX方向成分の利得の変化を示している。グラフg3は、周囲にクッション体32がない場合のレクテナ20の利得を示している。周囲にクッション体32がない場合のレクテナ20の位置は、第1実施形態のヘッドレスト12内に配置されたレクテナ20の位置と同じである。
 図11Aに示すように、距離Lが80mm以上であれば、Y方向の利得は、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得よりも高くなっている。
 また、X方向の利得は、距離Lが130mmより小さいときには、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得よりも低い。
 しかし、距離Lが130mmよりも大きいときには、X方向の利得は、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得よりも高くなっている。
 図11Bは、幅Wを変化させたときのレクテナ20の利得の変化を示すグラフである。図11B中、横軸は幅W、縦軸は利得を示している。
 図11B中、グラフg4は、Y方向の利得の変化を示している。グラフg5は、X方向の利得の変化を示している。グラフg6は、レクテナ20単体を同じ位置に配置したときの利得を示している。
 試験1においては、図11Bに示すように、幅Wが100mm以上であれば、Y方向の利得は、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得よりも高くなっている。
 また、X方向の利得は、幅Wが150mmより小さいときには、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得よりも低い。
 しかし、幅Wが150mmよりも大きいときには、X方向の利得は、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得よりも高くなっている。
 これらから、レクテナ20をヘッドレスト12(クッション体32)の内部に配置すれば、レクテナ20の利得(受信電力)が高められることが判る。
 さらに、距離Lが、130mmよりも大きければ、レクテナ20の利得がより高められることが判る。
 また、幅Wが、150mmよりも大きければ、レクテナ20の利得がより高められることが判る。
〔試験2について〕
 試験2では、擬似的なクッション体のモデルを用い、絶縁層56の厚みtを変化させたときのレクテナ20の利得の変化を求めた。試験2では、アンテナ基板50の外面(第1面50aおよび第2面50b)に面する絶縁層56の部分の厚みtを変化させた。
 図12は、クッション体のモデル内の絶縁層56の厚みtを説明するための図である。
 クッション体のモデルRは、本体部100と、内部空間140と、を有する。本体部100は、ヘッドレスト12の本体部36に相当する。本体部100は、1辺が200mmの立方体形状を有する。また、内部空間140は、ヘッドレスト12の第2内部空間40に相当する。よって、内部空間140には、レクテナ20が収容される。
 絶縁層56は、レクテナ20(のアンテナ基板50)と、内部空間140の内面140aとの間に設けられる。
 試験2では、絶縁層56を空気層とした。また、試験2では、図12に示すように、樹脂ケース46を省略し、内面140aと、アンテナ基板50の第1面50a(第2面50b)と、の間には、絶縁層56(空気層)のみを存在させた。
 また、ここでは、送電アンテナ6aからの給電用の電波の周波数を920MHzとした。
 図13は、絶縁層56の厚みtを変化させたときのレクテナ20の利得の変化を示すグラフである。図13中、横軸は絶縁層56の厚みt、縦軸は利得を示している。また、図13中の破線は、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得のレベルを示している。レクテナ20単体の場合の利得は1.21である。
 図13に示すように、厚みtが0である場合(クッション体32とレクテナ20とが接触する場合)、利得は0.25dBiである。しかし、厚みtが大きくなるに従って、利得は大きくなり、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得に漸近している。厚みtが4mmの場合、利得は約1dBiである。また、厚みtが10mmを超えると、利得は、レクテナ20単体の場合の利得に十分に接近している。つまり、厚みtが10mmを超えると、利得には飽和が見られる。
 よって、厚みtが4mm以上、10mm以下であれば、クッション体32によるレクテナ20の受信電力の損失を低減することができると言える。
 ここで、給電用の電波の波長をλとして厚みtを表すと、給電用の周波数は920MHzなので、4mmは0.012λと表される。同様に10mmは0.04λと表される。
 つまり、試験2の結果から、厚みtを、0.01λ以上、0.04λ以下とすることで、クッション体32による電力の損失を効果的に低減することができることが判る。
〔試験3について〕
 試験3では、第1実施形態に係るヘッドレスト12のモデルを用い、距離Lを35mm、幅Wを180mm、絶縁層56の厚みtを2mmとしたときのレクテナ20(センサユニット8)を実施例1、周囲にクッション体32がない場合のレクテナ20を比較例1とし、両者の指向特性を比較した。周囲にクッション体32がない場合のレクテナ20の位置は、実施例1のレクテナ20の位置と同じである。
 図14Aは、比較例1の指向特性を示すグラフである。図14Bは、実施例1の指向特性を示すグラフである。図14Aおよび図14B中の矢印Zは、Z1方向を示し、矢印Xは、X1方向を示している。
 図14Aおよび図14Bは、X-Z平面におけるX方向に沿う偏波成分(以下、X軸成分とも言う。)の指向特性、および、X-Z平面におけるY方向に沿う偏波成分(以下、Y軸成分とも言う。)の指向特性を示している。
 図14A中、グラフg7は、Y軸成分の指向特性を示し、グラフg8は、X軸成分の指向特性を示している。グラフg7およびグラフg8は、重複している。
 図14B中、グラフg9は、Y軸成分の指向特性を示し、グラフg10は、X軸成分の指向特性を示している。
 図14Bに示すように、実施例1の指向特性は、比較例1の指向特性と比較して、Z1方向において向上が見られる。つまり、実施例1の指向特性は、送電アンテナ6aに向く方向において向上が見られる。
 より具体的に、図14B中、X軸成分におけるZ1方向の利得は、比較例1の利得(図14A)と比較して、約3dB向上している。また、図14B中、Y軸成分におけるZ1方向の利得は、比較例1の利得と比較して、約1dB向上している。
 上記結果から、実施例1では、レクテナ20の受信電力が高められることが判る。
 加えて、図14Bに示すように、実施例1によるレクテナ20は、X軸成分およびY軸成分の両方を受信可能であることが判る。
〔試験4について〕
 試験4では、第2実施形態に係るヘッドレスト12のモデルを用いたときのレクテナ20を実施例2、湾曲形状を持たないレクテナ20を比較例2とし、両者の指向特性を比較した。
 図15は、比較例2に係るヘッドレスト12の断面図である。図15に示すセンサユニット8は、レクテナ20がX-Y平面に沿った平面状であり、湾曲形状を持たない点のみにおいて、図9に示した第2実施形態のセンサユニット8と相違している。
 図16Aは、比較例2の指向特性を示すグラフである。図16Bは、実施例2の指向特性を示すグラフである。図16Aおよび図16B中の矢印Zは、Z1方向を示し、矢印Xは、X1方向を示している。
 図16Bに示すように、実施例2の指向特性は、比較例2の指向特性と比較して、Z1方向において向上が見られる。つまり、実施例2の指向特性は、送電アンテナ6aに向く方向において向上が見られる。
 より具体的に、図16B中、Z1方向の利得は、比較例2の利得(図16A)と比較して、約1dB向上している。
 また、図16B中、実施例2の利得は、Z1方向を中心に両側60度の範囲において、比較例2の利得(図16A)と比較して、向上している。
 上記結果から、実施例2では、前後方向に広範囲に亘ってレクテナ20の受信電力が高められることが判る。

 なお、今回開示された実施の形態はすべての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えられるべきである。

Claims (15)

  1.  車両内に配置される送電アンテナを有する給電装置と、
     前記車両内に配置される座席の一部を構成する、誘電体素材からなるクッション体と、
     前記座席に設けられるセンサと、
     前記クッション体の内部に配置され、前記送電アンテナからの送電電力を受電し前記センサへ与えられる電力を出力する受電アンテナ回路と、を有する
    センサシステム。
  2.  前記クッション体は、
      本体部と、
      前記本体部の内部に設けられ、前記受電アンテナ回路を収容する内部空間と、を有する
    請求項1に記載のセンサシステム。
  3.  前記本体部は、前記送電アンテナ側の第1面と、前記第1面に対向する第2面と、を有し、
     前記内部空間は、前記第2面寄りに設けられている
    請求項2に記載のセンサシステム。
  4.  前記内部空間の内面と、前記受電アンテナ回路の外面と、の間に、前記誘電体素材よりも誘電正接が低い絶縁層をさらに有する
    請求項2または請求項3に記載のセンサシステム。
  5.  前記送電アンテナから放射される電波の波長をλとしたとき、前記絶縁層の厚みは、0.01λ以上、0.04λ以下である
    請求項4に記載のセンサシステム。
  6.  前記絶縁層は、発泡スチロール層を含む
    請求項4または請求項5に記載のセンサシステム。
  7.  前記絶縁層は、空気層を含む
    請求項4または請求項5に記載のセンサシステム。
  8.  前記内部空間に収容され、前記受電アンテナ回路を内部に収容することで前記絶縁層を画定する樹脂ケースをさらに備える
    請求項4から請求項7のいずれか一項に記載のセンサシステム。
  9.  前記受電アンテナ回路は、
      アンテナ素子と、
      前記アンテナ素子が実装されたアンテナ基板と、を有し、
     前記アンテナ基板がフレキシブル基板である
    請求項1に記載のセンサシステム。
  10.  前記座席の一部は、ヘッドレストを含む
    請求項1から請求項9のいずれか一項に記載のセンサシステム。
  11.  車両内に配置される座席であって、
     センサと、
     誘電体素材からなるクッション体と、
     前記クッション体の内部に配置され、前記車両内に配置される送電アンテナからの送電電力を受電し前記センサへ与えられる電力を出力する受電アンテナ回路と、を有する
    座席。
  12.  車両内に配置される座席に設けられるセンサユニットであって、
     センサと、
     前記車両内に配置される送電アンテナからの送電電力を受電し前記センサへ与えられる電力を出力する受電アンテナ回路と、
     前記受電アンテナ回路を収容する収容空間を内部に有し、前記座席の一部を構成する誘電体素材からなるクッション体の内部に配置される樹脂ケースと、を備える
    センサユニット。
  13.  前記受電アンテナ回路はアンテナ基板を有し、
     前記収容空間の内面に設けられ、前記アンテナ基板と前記内面との間に所定の間隔が設けられる位置で前記アンテナ基板を支持する支持部材をさらに備える
    請求項12に記載のセンサユニット。
  14.  前記支持部材は、
     前記収容空間に収容された回路基板と、
     前記樹脂ケースの内面に設けられ、前記回路基板を前記内面に対して支持する支柱と、
     前記アンテナ基板と前記回路基板とを電気的に接続するワイヤと、をさらに備える
    請求項13に記載のセンサユニット。
  15.  前記センサと、前記センサに対して別体である前記樹脂ケースと、を物理的に接続し、前記樹脂ケース側から前記センサへ電力を供給する線路をさらに備える
    請求項12に記載のセンサユニット。
