Description

人工漁礁および人工漁礁の製造方法
 本開示は、人工漁礁および人工漁礁の製造方法に関する。
 近年の漁獲量の減少に伴い、魚介類の繁殖場所となる人工漁礁を海中に設置することが行われている。人工漁礁としては、主に、コンクリート製、鋼製などの構造物を、海中に沈めたものが用いられている。
 磯焼けに関する研究では、河川から供給される鉄イオンの欠乏が磯焼けの主要因と考えられており、これを解決することが可能な漁礁として、鋼材で構成された鋼製人工漁礁が考えられている(特許文献1)。

 特許文献1は、人工魚礁用の枠の構造に関する技術であり、鋼構造物が海水中で腐食することにより、海水中に鉄分を供給するため、植物プランクトンが大量に発生し、動物性プランクトンが増えて餌が豊富になるとしている。しかし、鉄(鋼)製の構造物は、長期的には腐食により、部材が減肉し、その構造を保てなくなる。
 そこで、非特許文献1では、コンクリート製の漁礁の内部に、鉄鋼スラグを設置し、鉄鋼スラグから鉄イオンを供給する人工漁礁が検討されている。しかし、非特許文献1の人工漁礁は、人工漁礁としての性能は高いものの、初めから人工漁礁として製造するため、製造コストが高いという問題がある。また、近年は、大気中のCO2の増加による地球温暖化も世界的な問題となっている。
 非特許文献2では、古い電柱を人工漁礁に利用することが検討されている。非特許文献2の人工漁礁では、利用する電柱の内部は空洞であるため、サイズが比較的小さな生物の繁殖については考慮されていない。
 本開示は、上記の事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、比較的長い寿命を維持でき、鉄イオンを海水中へ供給するとともにCO2を吸収することが可能で、安価な人工漁礁を提供することを目的とする。
 本開示の一態様の人工漁礁は、内部に空洞を有する鉄筋コンクリートポールを切断した、少なくとも1つの鉄筋コンクリートポール部材を備え、前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材の空洞には、充填物が充填され、前記充填物は、セメント、モルタル、コンクリートおよび鉄筋コンクリートの少なくとも1つが破砕または切断された破砕物、つり線、前記鉄筋コンクリートポールに付帯する金属、および魚介類の殻の少なくとも1つを含む。
 本開示の一態様の人工漁礁の製造方法は、内部に空洞を有する鉄筋コンクリートポールを切断して、複数の鉄筋コンクリートポール部材を作製する工程と、複数の前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材に、充填物を充填する工程と、充填後の複数の前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材を連結する工程と、を備え、前記充填物は、セメント、モルタル、コンクリートおよび鉄筋コンクリートの少なくとも1つが破砕または切断された破砕物、つり線、前記鉄筋コンクリートポールに付帯する金属、および魚介類の殻の少なくとも1つを含む。
 本開示によれば、比較的長い寿命を維持でき、鉄イオンを海水中へ供給するとともにCO2を吸収することが可能で、安価な人工漁礁を提供することができる。

 以下、本開示の実施の形態について図を参照して説明する。
 本実施形態では、内部に空洞を有する鉄筋コンクリート製のポール(以下、「鉄筋CP」)の廃棄物を、人工漁礁として再利用する。これにより、本実施形態では、安価に製造でき、かつ、鉄イオンを海水中に供給できるととともに、CO2を吸収できる人工漁礁を提供することができる。鉄筋CPは、例えば、電柱、電信柱などに用いられている。
 鉄筋CP内部の鉄筋が腐食することによって、鉄イオンが海中に供給される。また、鉄筋CPのコンクリート中のセメントの主成分であるCaOが中性化する際に、海水中のCO2を吸収し、海水中のCO2が減少する。海水中のCO2の減少により、平衡を保つため、大気中のCO2が海水中に溶け込む。これにより、大気中のCO2を吸収する効果も得られる。
 また、一般的なコンクリート製の人工漁礁の場合、セメントの原料である石灰石からクリンカを作るためには加熱(焼成)が必要となり、主たる原料の石灰石は、加熱するとCO2を発生する。さらに、石灰石を焼成する際にも、石炭等の燃料を使用することで、CO2が発生する。これに対し、本実施形態の人工漁礁は、廃棄物の鉄筋CPを利用するため、人工漁礁の材料を製造する際に放出されるCO2がほとんどないというメリットもある。
 本実施の形態では、上記の知見により、中が空洞で柱状の既存の鉄筋CPを用いて、人工漁礁を作製した。また、鉄筋CPとして、遠心締固めにより製造された鉄筋CPを用いることが好ましい。遠心締固めにより製造された鉄筋CPとしては、電柱または電信柱などがある。したがって、本実施形態の人工漁礁に、廃棄する電柱または電信柱を用いることが好ましい。
 通常の鉄筋コンクリートは比較的短時間で中性化するため、内部の鉄筋が腐食して膨張することにより、内部から亀裂が生じ、長期的には、構造物としての形状を維持できなくなる。一方、電柱や電信柱に用いられている鉄筋CPは、遠心締固めにより製造されており、通常の鉄筋コンクリートよりも密度が高いため、中性化が進行しにくく、長寿命である。また、電柱や電信柱に用いられている鉄筋CPは、通常の鉄筋コンクリートで作成した円筒より、同じ厚さのコンクリートかぶりであっても、海中でより長期間、構造物としての形状を維持できる。コンクリートのかぶり厚さは、コンクリート表面から鉄筋までのコンクリートの厚さを意味する。
 なお、鉄イオンの供給またはCO2吸収を短時間で行いたい場合は、短寿命となるが、遠心締固めでない通常の鉄筋コンクリートを用いてもよい。すなわち、遠心締固めを実施した鉄筋CPの方が構造物としての寿命が長いが、遠心締固めをしていない鉄筋CPの方が、中性化が早く進み、内部の鉄筋の腐食も早く進むため、短期間でより多くのCO2を吸収でき、より多くの鉄イオンを周辺の海水に供給できる。このため、必要な寿命に応じて適切な鉄筋CPを選択すればよい。
 (鉄筋CP部材の作製)
 本実施形態の人工漁礁は、内部に空洞を有する鉄筋CP(鉄筋コンクリートポール)を切断した、少なくとも1つの鉄筋CP部材(鉄筋コンクリートポール部材)を備える。すなわち、人工漁礁は、1つの鉄筋CP部材を備えるものであってもよく、あるいは複数の鉄筋CP部材を備えていてもよい。
 鉄筋CP部材は、内部に空洞を有する筒状部材である。そのため、鉄筋CP部材の内部に小型の生物(動物プランクトン、エビ、カニ、小型魚など)が入りこむことができ、鉄筋CP部材を海底に設置するだけで、人工漁礁としての効果を発揮する。
 通常、電柱、電信柱などの鉄筋CPは、6m~10m以上の長さがある。長すぎると鉄筋CP部材の空洞の中央部分(長手方向)における生物の利用効率が落ちること、および、輸送や設置のしやすさを考慮し、本実施形態では、鉄筋CPを適当な長さに切断した鉄筋CP部材を、人工漁礁に用いることとした。
 電柱または電信柱の鉄筋CPを用いた場合、鉄筋CP部材の直径は十数cm~数十cm程度である。鉄筋CP部材の内部の中央部分における生物の利用効率の観点から、鉄筋CP部材の直径は、鉄筋CP部材の長さの20分の1以下が望ましく、より望ましくは10分の1以下である。
 ただし、鉄筋CP部材の長さが短すぎると、鉄筋CP部材を用いて構成される人工漁礁の数が多くなり、鉄筋CP部材同士を連結するための資材も多く必要となるというデメリットがある。このデメリットと、輸送上の取り扱い易さとのバランスを考慮して、鉄筋CP部材は、1m以上、2.5m未満の長さが好ましく、1m以上、2.2m未満の長さがより好ましい。
 2.5m未満の鉄筋CP部材であれば、横幅2.5mの中型トラックまたは大型トラックの荷台の横幅に収まり、また、2.2m未満の鉄筋CP部材であれば、多くの中型トラックまたは大型トラックの荷台の横幅に収まるため、輸送効率が向上する。また、2.2m未満の鉄筋CP部材であれば、かなり径が大きな鉄筋CP部材を除き、後述する充填物が充填された3本の鉄筋CP部材を連結した人工漁礁、もしくは、充填物が充填された4本の鉄筋CP部材を連結した人工漁礁の重量を、950kg以内とすることができる場合が多い。950kgは、小型船舶用の油圧クレーンでつり上げることのできる重量である。
 また、一般的に、鉄筋CPの端部(末端部)は、モルタル等で埋められ閉じている。このため、まず、鉄筋CPの端部を切断し、両端が開口した筒状の鉄筋CPを所定の長さに切断して鉄筋CP部材を作製してもよい。切断した鉄筋CPの端部は、破砕して充填物として利用することができる。
 本実施形態では、末口の直径140mm、元口の直径233mm、長さ7mの電柱を、鉄筋CPとして用い、当該電柱の端部を切り落とした上で、2.2mの長さに切断した鉄筋CP部材を用いて人工漁礁を作製した。末口は、直径の小さい方の電柱の端部であり、元口は、直径の大きい方の電柱の端部である。
 (鉄筋CP部材の連結)
 本実施形態は、複数の鉄筋CP部材を連結して、人工漁礁を作製する。人工漁礁は、複数の鉄筋CP部材を立体的に連結したものであってもよく、また、立体的に連結したものを複数段積み重ねたものであってもよい。なお、人工漁礁が1つ鉄筋CP部材から構成される場合は、以下に説明する連結工程は不要である。
 図1は、4本の鉄筋CP部材11を井桁状(四角形)に組み立てた人工漁礁の例である。複数の鉄筋CP部材11を連結せずにランダムに海中に積み上げるだけでもよいが、本実施形態では、4本の鉄筋CP部材11を連結して井桁状に組み立てた。
 図1以外の方法で、鉄筋CP部材11を組み立ててもよい。例えば、図2に示すように2本の鉄筋CP部材11を用いて十字の形状(クロス形状)に組み立ててもよいし、図3に示すように3本の鉄筋CP部材11を用いて三角形に組み立ててもよい。また、図示しないが、5本以上の鉄筋CP部材11を用いて多角形に組み立ててもよい。
 さらに、組み立てた鉄筋CP部材11を、複数段、積み重ねた人工漁礁としてもよい。図4は、図1の井桁状に組み立てた鉄筋CP部材11を、複数段、積み重ねた人工漁礁の例である。また、図5に示すように、単に鉄筋CP部材11を複数本束ねて立体的に連結した人工漁礁としてもよい。
 また、複数の鉄筋CP部材を連結し、各鉄筋CP部材の内部に充填物が入った状態の人工漁礁の重量が、950kg以下であることが望ましい。これは、小型船舶用のクレーンの最大荷重が950kg程度のことが多いためである。人工漁礁の重量が950kg以下の場合には、大型クレーン船を必要とせず、小型船舶用のクレーンを用いて低コストで人工漁礁を海中に設置することができる。
 前述のとおり、約2.2mの長さに切断した各鉄筋CP部材は、末口側と元口側で重さが異なるが、80kg~115kg程度で平均100kg弱となる。4本の鉄筋CP部材を連結して井桁状に組み立てた場合、鉄筋CP部材だけで約400kgであり、総重量950kgを上回らない範囲で、内部に充填物を入れることができる。
 鉄筋CPの種別によっては、より太くて重いものも存在する。例えば末口の直径190mm、元口の直径390mm、長さ15mの電柱(鉄筋CP)は、約1300kgある。この電柱を約2.2mの長さに切断した鉄筋CP部材の場合、末口側の鉄筋CP部材では120kg、元口側の鉄筋CP部材では220kg近くの重さになる。元口側に近い鉄筋CP部材を4本連結して井桁状に組むと、内部に充填物を詰める余裕がほとんどなくなってしまう。
 電柱をより短い長さに切断して、短い鉄筋CP部材を用いることも考えられるが、この場合、連結が必要な個所の数が多くなり、コストが上かってしまう。このような場合は、末口側の鉄筋CP部材をバランスよく組み合わせ、充填物を詰めた状態で連結した鉄筋CP部材の総重量が950kg未満になるように調整する、または、連結する鉄筋CP部材の数を減らす(例えば、3本の鉄筋CP部材で三角形に連結する)ことで、充填物を詰めた状態での人工漁礁の総重量が950kg未満になるように調整しても良い。
 また、径が太い鉄筋CP、または、鉄筋CPの元口側などは、比較的短い長さで切断し、径が細い鉄筋CP、または、鉄筋CPの末口側などは、比較的長めの長さで切断する。このように切断した長さの異なる複数の鉄筋CP部材を適宜組み合わせて、正三角形または正四角形以外の三角形(2等辺三角形)または四角形(長方形)に連結し、充填物を充填した状態での人工漁礁の総重量を950kg未満になるように調整してもよい。
 なお、鉄筋CPの種別によってはさらに太くて重いものも存在する。例えば高強度タイプの鉄筋CPで、末口の直径400mm、元口の直径613mm、長さ16mの電柱は、約4600kgあり、元口側では1mあたり350kg近くの重さになる。このため、長さ1mの3本の鉄筋CP部材を三角形に連結しても、950kgを上回ってしまう(実際には直径600mmの鉄筋CPを1mの長さに切断した3本の鉄筋CP部材を連結することは困難である)。こうした単位長さあたりの重量が特に大きい鉄筋CPの場合、所定の長さに切断した各鉄筋CP部材は、内部に充填物を詰めて、連結せずに単体の人工漁礁として海中に投下してもよい。
 鉄筋CP部材の連結には、十分な強度があればロープ、針金等、何を用いてもよい。例えは、複数の鉄筋CP部材は、廃棄する鉄筋CP(電柱、電信柱など)に付帯している付帯物を用いて連結されえもよい。付帯物には、装柱バンド(自在バンド)、つり線(鋼より線、支線)などがある。装柱バンドについては、下記に記載されている。

 装柱バンドは、つり線を電柱に固定するために電柱に巻き付ける金物である。装柱バンドは、電柱または電信柱にほとんどの場合設置されている。このため、電柱または電信柱とともに廃棄されることが多く、これを再利用することで、安価に人工漁礁を作製することができる。また、装柱バンドは、腐食することで、鉄イオンを海中に供給することができる。
 図6Aは、2つの装柱バントの連結を説明するための図である。図示する装柱バンド60A、60Bは、バンド61と、フックボルト62とを有する。装柱バンド60A、60Bのフックボルト62に、U字ボルトなどの連結部材70を取り付けることで、装柱バンド60Aが装着されている鉄筋CP部材(不図示)と、装柱バンド60Bが装着されている鉄筋CP部材(不図示)とを連結する。連結部材70には、例えば、U字ボルト71と、U字ボルト71に対応する2つの孔を設けた板72を用いてもよい。U字ボルト71を装柱バンド60Aおよび60Bのフックボルト62に取り付けた後に、ボルトなどを用いて板72を、U字ボルト71に固定する。
 図6Bは、装着バンド60A、60Bおよび連結部材70を用いて連結した鉄筋CP部材11を模式的に示す図である。各鉄筋CP部材11の連結する部分に、装柱バンド60A、60Bをそれぞれまき直し、装柱バンド60A、60B同士を、連結部材70を用いて連結する。これにより、各装柱バンド60A、60Bが巻かれた鉄筋CP部材11を連結することができる。
 また、図7に示すように、十分に長いバンド61を有する装柱バンド60A、60Bの場合、バンド61を用いて直接2本の鉄筋CP部材11を連結してもよい。この場合、バンド61をクロスさせることが望ましい。また、つり線を用いて、直接2本の鉄筋CP部材11を連結してもよい。この場合も、つり線を図7に示すようにクロスさせることが望ましい。
 (鉄筋CP部材の充填物)
 鉄筋CP部材の空洞に、充填物を充填してもよい。充填物は、セメント、モルタル、コンクリートおよび鉄筋コンクリートの少なくとも1つが破砕または切断された破砕物、つり線、前記鉄筋コンクリートポールに付帯する金属、および魚介類の殻の少なくとも1つを含む。
 充填物は、鉄筋CP部材内部の空洞に充填できるサイズとした。充填物により、鉄筋CP部材の内部に小さな隙間を多く形成することができ、内部に入り込める生物のサイズ(動物プランクトンやエビやカニ、小型の魚など)が小さくなり、より効果的にこれらの生物が繁殖することができる。生物の繁殖のためには、充填物のサイズは、あまり小さすぎるものは望ましくはなく、縦・横・高さがそれぞれ数cm~十数cm程度になるように破砕したものが好ましい。
 また、充填物として、廃棄する電柱、電信柱などの鉄筋CPを用いることが好ましい。鉄筋CPを破砕すると、内部に存在していた鉄筋(長さ数m)が回収できるため、まず、鉄筋CP部材の空洞に回収した鉄筋(または鉄筋を切断した切断物)を入れ、残りのスペースにコンクリート破砕物を充填する。これらの充填により、鉄筋CP部材の内部に小さな隙間を多く形成することができ、内部に入り込める生物のサイズが小さくなり、より効果的にこれらの生物が繁殖することができる。
 また、充填物が鉄筋CPの破砕物の場合、鉄筋が露出するため、すみやかに鉄が腐食することで、周辺の海水に鉄イオンをすみやかに供給されるというメリットがある。また、コンクリートを破砕することでコンクリートの表面積が増える。これにより、CO2の総吸収量を増やし、また、CO2の吸収スピードを上げることも可能となる。
 このような充填物を筒状の鉄筋CP部材の内部に充填した後は、充填物が外に出ないように、例えば網状の蓋(海水や生物が出入りできる蓋)などを、鉄筋CP部材の両端部に設置する。蓋の網の目は、小型の生物および海水は鉄筋CP部材の内外を移動できるように、数cm程度の間隔が望ましい。
 本実施形態では、充填物として鉄筋CPの破砕物を用いたが、これに限定されない。充填物に、鉄筋コンクリート構造物、硬化したセメント、モルタル、コンクリートなどを、破砕(切断)して用いてもよい。鉄イオンの供給のためには、鉄筋を含む鉄筋コンクリートを破砕し、充填物に鉄筋を入れることが望ましい。このようなセメント、モルタル、コンクリート、鉄筋コンクリートなどの破砕物を鉄筋CP部材の内部に充填することで、CO2の総吸収量を増やすことができる。また、セメント、モルタル、コンクリート、鉄筋コンクリートなどを破砕することで表面積が増えるため、CO2の吸収スピードを上げることも可能となる。
 また、電柱、電信柱などの鉄筋CPの廃棄時には、通信ケーブルまたは電力ケーブルを吊っていたつり線(鋼より線)も同時に廃棄する場合が多い。このつり線を適当な長さに切断して、鉄筋CP部材の内部に充填してもよい。つり線も腐食して周辺海域に鉄イオンを供給することができる。つり線を充填部とする場合は、前述の鉄筋と同様に、まず、鉄筋CP部材の内部に回収したつり線を鉄筋とともに入れ、残りのスペースにコンクリート破砕物を充填することが望ましい。これらの充填により、小さな隙間を多く形成することができ、内部に入り込める生物のサイズ(動物プランクトンやエビやカニ、小型の魚など)が小さくなり、より効果的にこれらの生物が繁殖することができる。
 また、電柱、電信柱などの鉄筋CPおよびつり線に付属する各種鋼製の金物類(金属)についても、同時に廃棄される場合が多いため、これらの金物類も充填物として鉄筋CP部材の内部に充填してもよい。金物類も、腐食して周辺海域に鉄イオンを供給することができる。
 また、ある程度、大型の生物も鉄筋CP部材の内部に入ることができるようにするために、充填物を充填した鉄筋CP部材と、充填物を充填していない鉄筋CP部材(または充填物の量を少なく、比較的大きなスペースが残っている鉄筋CP部材)とを混在させて組み立てた人工漁礁を作製してもよい。このような構成とすることで、幅広いサイズの生物の繁殖が期待できる。
 鉄筋CP部材の内部に、上述した充填物以外の充填物を充填してもよい。例えば、鉄筋CPの破砕物、所定の長さに切断したつり線、各種金物類だけでは充填物が不足する場合に、カキ、ホタテ等の魚介類の殻を充填することで充填物の不足を補ってもよい。魚介類の殻を充填物として用いることで、小さな隙間を多く形成し、内部に入り込める生物のサイズを小さくすることができる。カキやホタテ等の貝類の殻などは、もともと海に存在していた貝が由来であるため、海への環境負荷が小さい。また、養殖のカキおよびホタテの殻の廃棄処理にも困っている食品加工業者が多いため、これらを充填することで、廃棄物問題にも貢献できる。
 (人工漁礁の設置)
 内部に充填物を充填した少なくとも1つの鉄筋CP部材(人工漁礁)を、海底に沈めて設置する。輸送および設置を考慮すると、各鉄筋CP部材の長さは1m以上2.5m未満で、複数の鉄筋CP部材を連結した人工漁礁の場合は、連結後の人工漁礁の重量が950kg以下(充填物を含む)であることが、好ましい。
 また、複数の鉄筋CP部材を連結した人工漁礁を、単体で海底に沈めても設置してもよい。また、図8に示すように、複数の鉄筋CP部材を連結した人工漁礁を複数用意して、これらを海底に投下し、ランダムに積み上げた積層状の人工漁礁としてもよい。複数の人工漁礁を積み上げることで、人工漁礁としてより高い効果を発揮することができる。図8は、4本の鉄筋CP部材を四角形(井桁状)に連結した人工漁礁(図1参照)を複数備える積層状の人工漁礁を例示したものである。
 なお、複数の鉄筋CP部材を連結した人工漁礁と、単体の鉄筋CP部材とを併用して、1つの人工漁礁として設置してもよい。
 複数の人工漁礁を、海中(海底)の所定の地点(位置)に積み重ねて設置する場合は、海上から海底の所定の地点(同じ位置)を狙って投下すればよい。しかし、海上には波や潮流があり、なかなか安定して狙った海底の同じ地点に人工漁礁を投下するのは困難である。
 そのため、図9に示すように、三角形、四角形など多角形の形状(環状)に鉄筋CP部材を連結した人工漁礁の場合(図1、図3)、最初に投入する人工漁礁10Aにロープ状の部材90の片端を結びつけた状態で投下し、次回以降に投入する人工漁礁10Bの内側の空間(環)にロープ状の部材90を通した状態で、海中に投下してもよい。これにより、安定して、海中の同じ地点に人工漁礁10A,10Bを投下することができ、人工漁礁10A,10Bを確実に立体的に積み重ねることができる。
 このロープ状の部材90は、十分な強度を有していれば、何を用いてもよいが、ここでは電柱と電柱の間にケーブルを渡すための、つり線(鋼より線)を用いた。つり線は、鉄筋CPを廃棄する際に、同時に回収されることが多く、人工漁礁の設置の際に利活用することで、腐食して周辺海域に鉄イオンを放出するので、海域の生産性がアップする効果が得られる。つり線は、切断して充填物として利用してもよいが、このように人工漁礁を海底に設置する際のガイドロープとして用いてもよい。
 また、連結していない単体の鉄筋CP部材を人工漁礁とする場合は、ロープ状の部材90の片端を鉄筋CP部材に設けられた足場ボルトの穴に通すことで、単体の鉄筋CP部材の人工漁礁も、海底の狙った位置に投下することができる。
 (人工漁礁の製造方法)
 次に、本実施形態の人工漁礁の製造方法について説明する。
 本実施形態では、の内部に空洞を有する鉄筋CP(例えば、電柱、電信柱など)を切断して、複数の鉄筋CPを作製する(工程1)。そして、作製した複数の鉄筋CP部材に、充填物を充填する(工程2)。充填物は、前述のとおり、セメント、モルタル、コンクリートおよび鉄筋コンクリートの少なくとも1つが破砕または切断された破砕物、つり線、前記鉄筋コンクリートポールに付帯する金属、および魚介類の殻の少なくとも1つを含む。そして、充填後の複数の鉄筋CP部材を連結して人工漁礁を製造する(工程3)。なお、工程2と工程3を逆の順序で行ってもよい。また、1つの鉄筋CP部材を用いた人工漁礁の場合、工程3は不要である。
 (作用効果)
 以上説明した本実施形態の人工漁礁は、内部に空洞を有する鉄筋CPを切断した、少なくとも1つの鉄筋CP部材を備え、前記鉄筋CP部材の空洞には、充填物が充填され、 前記充填物は、セメント、モルタル、コンクリートおよび鉄筋コンクリートの少なくとも1つが破砕または切断された破砕物、つり線、前記鉄筋コンクリートポールに付帯する金属、および魚介類の殻の少なくとも1つを含む。
 本実施形態では、比較的長い寿命を維持でき、鉄イオンを海水中へ供給するとともにCO2を吸収することが可能で、安価な人工漁礁を提供することができる。すなわち、本実施形態では、主に沿岸海域における魚介類の繁殖場となる人工漁礁を、極めて安価で短時間に作成することが可能である。
 従来の人工漁礁は、コンクリート製のものは長寿命だが周辺の海水に鉄イオンを供給できず、鉄イオンの供給源を別途用意する必要があり、鋼製のものは、周辺の海水に鉄イオンを供給できるものの、腐食により、長期的にはその構造を維持できないという問題があった。一方、本実施形態によれば、長寿命で、コンクリート製や鋼製の人工漁礁の長所を兼ね備えた人工漁礁を、廃棄物を利用して非常に低コストで作製することができる。
 なお、電柱を利用した人工漁礁について、非特許文献2に報告されているが、この人工漁礁は、電柱の内部に、何も充填していない。これに対し、本実施形態の人工漁礁は、鉄筋CP部材の内部に鉄筋CPの破砕物などの充填物を充填することで、小さな隙間を多く形成することができ、内部に入り込める生物のサイズ(動物プランクトンやエビやカニ、小型の魚など)が小さくなり、より効果的にこれらの生物が繁殖することができる。また本実施形態の人工漁礁では、充填物の鉄筋、つり線などの腐食により、より効率的に鉄イオンを周辺海域に供給することができる。また、充填物に破砕したコンクリートを用いることで、海水中・大気中のCO2を効率的に吸収し、かつ、廃棄物を利用するため、人工漁礁の材料を製造する際のCO2の放出もほとんどなく、地球温暖化の防止にも貢献できる。
 また、非特許文献2の人工漁礁は、非常に大型で重い人工漁礁であり、輸送および設置の観点からみて、高コストな人工漁礁となっている。これに対し、本実施形態の人工漁礁は、各鉄筋CP部材が小型軽量であるため、陸上、海上での輸送および設置に大型の機器を必要としないため、輸送および設置コストが低く抑えられる。また、複数の鉄筋CP部材を連結した人工漁礁を、複数積み重ねることで、大型の人工漁礁と同様の効果を発揮できるという柔軟性も有している。
 なお、本開示は上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本開示の技術的思想内で、様々な変形および組み合わせが可能である。

Claims (4)

  1.  内部に空洞を有する鉄筋コンクリートポールを切断した、少なくとも1つの鉄筋コンクリートポール部材を備え、
     前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材の空洞には、充填物が充填され、
     前記充填物は、セメント、モルタル、コンクリートおよび鉄筋コンクリートの少なくとも1つが破砕または切断された破砕物、つり線、前記鉄筋コンクリートポールに付帯する金属、および魚介類の殻の少なくとも1つを含む
     人工漁礁。
  2.  前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材を複数備え、
     複数の前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材が、前記鉄筋コンクリートポールの付帯物を用いて連結された
     請求項1に記載の人工漁礁。
  3.  前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材を複数備え、
     各鉄筋コンクリートポール部材の長さは、1m以上、2.5m未満であり、
     連結された複数の前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材の総重量は、950Kg以下である
     請求項1に記載の人工漁礁。
  4.  内部に空洞を有する鉄筋コンクリートポールを切断して、複数の鉄筋コンクリートポール部材を作製する工程と、
     複数の前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材に、充填物を充填する工程と、
     充填後の複数の前記鉄筋コンクリートポール部材を連結する工程と、を備え、
     前記充填物は、セメント、モルタル、コンクリートおよび鉄筋コンクリートの少なくとも1つが破砕または切断された破砕物、つり線、前記鉄筋コンクリートポールに付帯する金属、および魚介類の殻の少なくとも1つを含む
     人工漁礁の製造方法。
