- Each pair of transverse foundation prisms 14 defines a transverse foundation slot 15 therebetween, the longitudinal axis of which extends perpendicularly to the foundation side walls 12.
- the height of the foundation side wall 12 is greater than the height of the transverse prisms 14, which is greater than the height of the longitudinal foundation prisms 13.
- a crown U-profile 2 which has a similar construction to the foundation profile 1 but with crown side walls 22 that are shorter in height than the foundation side walls 12.
- the crown U-profile 2 has a crown board 21, to which crown side walls 22 are attached via longitudinal crown prisms 23.
- longitudinal axes of the transverse crown prisms 24 are perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the longitudinal crown prisms 23 or perpendicular to the crown side walls 22.
- Each pair of transverse crown prisms 24 defines a transverse crown slot 25 therebetween, the longitudinal axis of which extends perpendicularly to the crown side walls 22.
- the primary beam 3, illustrated in Fig. 7, includes a primary beam board 31, whose thickness corresponds to the width of both the transverse foundation slot 15 of the foundation U-profile 1 and the transverse crown slot 25 of the crown U-profile 2.
- a side prism 32 is attached on both sides thereof, wherein the primary beam board 31 extends beyond these side prisms 32 at its both ends.
- the narrowed end of the board 31 fits precisely into the transverse slot 15 of the foundation U-profile 1 and the transverse slot 25 of the crown U-profile 2.
- the width of the primary beam board 31 in the region where it is provided with the side prisms 32 corresponds to the internal distance between the foundation side walls 12 of the foundation U-profile 1 and the internal distance between the crown side walls 22 of the crown U-profile 2, however, at both ends extending beyond the side prisms 32, the primary beam board 31 features a stepped reduction in width, which matches the mutual spacing of the longitudinal foundation prisms 13 or the longitudinal crown prisms 23.
- the primary beam board 31 is provided with through-holes 33 in the area between the side prisms 32.
- the through-holes 33 may be circular with a diameter of 70 to 90 mm, although other dimensions are also possible.
- reinforcement transverse prisms 34 are attached on both sides of the primary beam board 31, the reinforcement transverse prisms 34 being arranged in a mutually spacedapart manner such that their longitudinal axes are perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the adjacent side prisms 32.
- the assembly further includes a supplementary beam 4 A, which differs from the primary beam 3 in that it is shorter and is terminated on one end by a transverse prism 44. On both sides thereof, a reinforcement prism 42 is attached at its sides.
- the assembly may include additional supplementary beams 4B, 4C, which differ from the supplementary beam 4A in length and the number of transverse prisms 44, while their width remains the same, as shown in Figs. 8 to 10.
- the assembly includes a lintel/sill 5 A, which includes a lintel/ sill board 51, to which an auxiliary prism 52 is attached along each of the pair of longitudinal edges on one side thereof.
- the width of the lintel/ sill board 51 corresponds to the width of the foundation board 11 and the width of the crown board 21, however, at its ends, it is narrowed, such that the lintel/ sill board 51 extends beyond the auxiliary prisms 52 at the ends thereof with an extension section, the width of which corresponds to the distance between the auxiliary prisms 52.
- the assembly may include a lintel/ sill 5A of a basic length, as well as a double-length lintel/ sill 5B, a triple-length lintel/ sill 5C, a quadruple-length lintel/ sill 5D, etc., as shown in Figs. 11 to 14, wherein the width of the lintels/sills 5 A, 5B, 5C, 5D remains the same.
- the illustrations are not to scale.
- the prisms 13, 14, 23, 24, 32, 34, 42, 44, 52 are wooden prisms, preferably so-called SST prisms, generally advantageously prisms with a width within a range from 40 to 80 mm and a thickness within a range from 30 to 50 mm, preferably prisms with a cross-section of 60 x 40 mm, although other dimensions can be used.
- the boards 11, 21, 31, 41, 51 and the side walls 12, 22, are preferably made of OSB boards, i.e. bonded oriented strand boards and other boards, with a preferred thickness of 10 to 25 mm, preferably 12 and 20 mm, most preferably 15 mm, though other dimensions may also be applicable.
- connection of the prisms 13, 14, 23, 24, 32, 34, 42, 44, 52 to the boards 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, and the side walls 12, 22 can be made using screws, bolts, nails, staples, adhesives, or other fastening materials, or combinations thereof.
- the above assembly is used as follows:
- the foundation U-profiles 1 are placed onto a concrete base, or onto a slab, so that they extend along the desired perimeter of the building under construction, including the internal load-bearing partitions.
- the foundation side walls 12 extend upwards.
- the foundation U-profiles 1 may be for instance cut at a 45° angle and joined together, or the foundation U-profiles 1 may be arranged forming a "butt joint", wherein the inner foundation side wall 12 (and possibly one of the corresponding foundation boards) are shortened by the width of the foundation U-profile 1.
- the foundation U-profiles 1 are attached to the concrete base, i.e. to the slab, using anchoring components.
- anchoring components For example, threaded rods, screws, L-profiles, or the like, and combinations thereof may be used as anchoring components.
- each transverse foundation slot 15, i.e., between the transverse prisms 14 of the foundation U-profile 1 extension section of a board 31 is inserted, thereby vertically positioning the primary beam 3 or one of the supplementary beams 4 A, 4B, 4C, depending on whether a space is to be created for a window, door, gate in the given area.
- the primary beam boards 31 or the supplementary beam boards 41 are thus arranged vertically in planes perpendicular to the plane of the respective constructed wall, i.e. in planes perpendicular to the planes of the foundation side walls 12.
- a lintel/ sill board 5 A, 5B, 5C, or 5D is placed horizontally so that its extension sections extend between the side prisms 32 of the nearest placed primary beams 3 and the auxiliary prisms 52 of the lintel/sill board 51 always extend downward.
- This lintel/sill board 51 thereby forms a sill.
- Another lintel/sill board 51 is placed horizontally above the first one so that its extension sections extend between the side prisms 32 of the nearest placed primary beams 3, and the auxiliary prisms 52 of the lintel board 51 extend downward.
- This lintel/sill board 51 thus forms a window lintel.
- Supplementary beams 4 A, 4B, 4C are vertically positioned on the upper lintel board 51 at the floor plan position overlapping the supplementary beams 4 A, 4B, 4C, which are arranged beneath the corresponding lintel/sill board 51 forming the sill. Similarly, a lintel is formed above anticipated door, window, or other openings, and supplementary beams 4C are positioned above it in a mirror-reversed manner relative to the sill.
- the supplementary beams 4 A, 4B, 4C are selected of such a length that ensures the upper ends thereof are in a single plane with the upper ends of the prim ary beam s 3.
- crown U-profiles 2 are placed horizontally on the upper ends of both the primary and supplementary beams 3, 4 A, 4 B, 4C in order to extend along the desired perimeter of the building or load-bearing partitions in the floor plan. Simultaneously, the extension sections of the primary beams 3 and supplementary beams 4 A, 4B, 4C are always inserted into the transverse crown slot 25, between the transverse crown prisms 24 of the crown U-profile 2.
- the load-bearing perimeter frame of the building including any internal load-bearing partitions, is formed.
- the width corresponds to an integer multiple, preferably double, of the pitch between adjacent transverse foundation slots 15 of the foundation U-profile 1, i.e. the pitch between adjacent transverse crown slots 25 of the crown U-profile 2.
- this width is 1250 mm, making the pitch between adjacent transverse slots 15, 25 in U-profiles 1, 2 preferably 625 mm.
- the pitch between slots 15, 25 refers to the distance between their longitudinal axes, which are parallel to each other, or between their symmetry planes, which are parallel to each other.
- the height of the external panels is 2500 mm
- the primary beam 3 measures 3000 mm
- the side walls of the lower foundation U-profile 1 have a height of 300 mm
- the side walls of the crown U-profile 2 have a height of 200 mm.
- a space for accommodating a 2500 mm external panel is created between these side walls of the foundation U-profile .1 and the side walls of the crown U-profile 2.
- the through-holes 33 serve as passages for pipes and cables and the like.
- Windows, doors, and gates can be mounted in the designated openings of the load-bearing structure in the usual manner, and a roof structure can be placed on top of the crown U-profile 2.
- the assembly can also be used to construct internal load-bearing wails, for example, in a case of a large building floor area and the resulting necessity for distributing the weight of the roof.
- An advantage of the present assembly is rapid, simple, and easy installation, which is enabl ed by the fact that the components and their placement are precisely defined using the internal shape of the U-profiles 1, 2, and are self-supporting without the need for an additional connecting material.
- the materials used are ecological and recyclable.
