Abstract

본 발명은 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치를 위한 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널은, 적어도 OLED 소자를 포함하는 소자 섬유, 복수의 스캔 라인 신호 섬유 및 복수의 데이터 라인 신호 섬유를 포함하는 신호 섬유, 및 전도성 물질이 직물 섬유 위에 형성되어 있는 상기 신호 섬유의 제1 섬유 라인과 상기 소자 섬유의 제2 섬유 라인을 연결하기 위한 연결부를 포함하고, 상기 연결부는, 상기 제1 섬유 라인에 형성된 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 상기 제2 섬유 라인에 형성된 제2 접촉부 금속 필름 사이에 화학적 결합으로 본딩된다.

Description

섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치 및 그 제조 방법
본 발명은 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치와 그 제조 방법에 관한 것으로, 특히, 착용 시 인체의 움직임에 따라 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치가 연신(orientation)과 같은 변형을 보일 때에도 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유의 견고한 연결을 통해 장치의 안정적인 동작이 가능한 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치와 그 제조 방법에 관한 것이다.
섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치는 섬유를 기판으로, 즉, 단면의 두께 및 넓이가 비슷하고 두께 대비 길이가 매우 긴 기판 위에 유기 또는 무기 발광 디스플레이 기술이 구현되어 이 섬유들이 직조된 장치이다. 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치는 기존 유기 또는 무기 발광 디스플레이 기술과 동일하게 발광부, 제어부 등과 같은 소자가 구현된 섬유(소자 섬유)와 전기 신호를 소자에 전달하기 위해 전도성 물질로 구현된 배선 섬유(신호 섬유)들로 구성된다. 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치는 이들 각각 소자 섬유들과 신호 섬유들이 서로 직조 집적화되어 정보를 디스플레이하는 디스플레이 장치이다.
종래의 섬유 디스플레이 기술들은 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유들이 각각 서로 직조 집적화되어 구현되었으나, 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유들이 물리적으로 분리되어 있고 단순한 접촉 방식으로 직조 집적화되어 있기 때문에, 연신(orientation)과 같은 디스플레이 장치의 움직임 시에 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유 사이 또는 각각의 섬유들 사이 마찰 등에 의해 소자 섬유 또는 신호 섬유에 손상이 생기거나, 또는 접촉 불량으로 인하여 불안정한 신호 전달이 일어나게 된다. 즉, 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유 사이는 연신과 같은 변형 시에도 전기적으로 안정된 접촉을 보장하면서도 디스플레이 기술의 파괴 없이 직조 집적화가 이루어져야한다. 따라서 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유 사이를 물리적으로 견고하게 고정시킬 수 있으면서도, 변형에 자유로이 대응할 수 있는 유연성을 지니면서도, 동시에 전기 신호 전달이 가능한 전도성을 지녀야 한다.
관련된 선행 문헌으로서 특허 출원 번호(제10-2020-0053587호)에서는 디스플레이 기술들이 구현된 소자 섬유들과 배선으로 사용되는 전도성 배선 섬유들이 교차하거나 휘감는다고 기술됐을 뿐, 소자 섬유와 배선 섬유 사이의 연결 및 안정적인 신호 전달에 대한 기술은 없다.
또한, 관련된 선행 문헌으로서 특허 출원 번호(제10-2019-0009108호)에서는 접촉 영역에 대해 설명하고 있지만, 마찬가지로 섬유와 배선 섬유 사이의 연결 및 안정적인 신호 전달에 대한 기술은 없다.
또한, 관련된 선행 문헌으로서 특허 출원 번호(제10-2019-0109659호)에서는 발광 영역과 비발광 영역으로 구분 지으며, 비발광 영역을 접촉 영역으로 사용하였지만, 마찬가지로 소자 섬유와 배선 섬유 사이의 연결 및 안정적인 신호 전달에 대한 기술은 없다.
또한, 관련된 선행 문헌으로 특허 출원 번호(제10-2022-0097275호)에서는 섬유 위에 구현된 디스플레이 기술들이 직조 시 공간적으로 분리된 곳에서 안정적인 전기적 연결을 보장받는 것으로, 그 연결이 소자와 공간적 분리가 된 영역에서 발생되기 때문에, 직조 시 디스플레이 기술이 파괴되지 않는 안정성을 보장받을 수 있는 접촉 영역 구조가 제공되는 구조(소자 섬유의 소자와 소자 섬유의 접촉 영역 구현을 통하여 접촉 영역에서 소자로의 안정적신 신호를 전달)이지만, 마찬가지로 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유 사이의 연결 및 안정적인 신호 전달에 대한 기술은 없다.
이와 같은 종래 기술들은 모두 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유 사이의 일회성적인 단순한 접촉으로 신호를 전달할 뿐이므로, 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유 간의 견고한 안정성을 보장하는 접근법 또는 구조가 필요한 실정이다.
따라서, 본 발명은 상술한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 안출된 것으로, 본 발명의 목적은, 섬유 디스플레이를 구성하는 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유가 직조 시에 서로 연결되는 부위에서, 물리적으로 견고하게 고정시킬 수 있으면서도, 변형에 자유로이 대응할 수 있는 유연성을 지니며, 동시에 전기 신호 전달이 가능한 전도성을 지닌 연결부를 통해, 착용 시 인체의 움직임에 따라 연신과 같은 변형에도 전기적으로 안정된 접촉을 보장하면서도 디스플레이 구현의 파괴 없이 안정적인 구동을 가능한, 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치와 그 제조 방법을 제공하는 데 있다.
먼저, 본 발명의 특징을 요약하면, 상기의 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 일면에 따른 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치를 위한 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널은, 적어도 OLED 소자를 포함하는 소자 섬유; 복수의 스캔 라인 신호 섬유 및 복수의 데이터 라인 신호 섬유를 포함하는 신호 섬유; 및 전도성 물질이 직물 섬유 위에 형성되어 있는 상기 신호 섬유의 제1 섬유 라인과 상기 소자 섬유의 제2 섬유 라인을 연결하기 위한 연결부를 포함하고, 상기 연결부는, 상기 제1 섬유 라인에 형성된 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 상기 제2 섬유 라인에 형성된 제2 접촉부 금속 필름 사이에 화학적 결합으로 본딩된다.
상기 신호 섬유의 제1 섬유 라인 2개 사이를 화학적 결합으로 본딩하는 제2 연결부를 더 포함할 수 있다,
상기 소자 섬유의 제2 섬유 라인 2개 사이를 화학적 결합으로 본딩하는 제3 연결부를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 연결부는, 엘라스토머와 전도성 물질을 혼합한 소재로 이루어질 수 있다.
상기 연결부는, 폴리디메틸실록산(PDMS)에 Ag mps(microparticles)를 혼합한 소재로 이루어질 수 있다.
상기 연결부는, 상기 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 화학적 결합으로 본딩되는 제1 패드, 상기 제2 접촉부 금속 필름과 화학적 결합으로 본딩되는 제2 패드, 및 상기 제1 패드 및 상기 제2 패드 사이의 기둥을 포함하며, 상기 제1 패드, 상기 제2 패드 및 상기 기둥은 일체형으로 이루어질 수 있다.
상기 연결부는, 전도 여과(conductive percolation) 효과에 의해서 인장 또는 비틀림 시에도 전기 전도성이 유지될 수 있다.
그리고, 본 발명의 다른 일면에 따른 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치를 위한 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널의 제작 방법은, 상기 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널은, 적어도 OLED 소자를 포함하는 소자 섬유; 복수의 스캔 라인 신호 섬유 및 복수의 데이터 라인 신호 섬유를 포함하는 신호 섬유; 및 전도성 물질이 직물 섬유 위에 형성되어 있는 상기 신호 섬유의 제1 섬유 라인과 상기 소자 섬유의 제2 섬유 라인을 연결하기 위한 연결부를 포함하고, 상기 연결부 형상을 갖는 패턴을 갖는 몰드에, 연결부 물질을 채우고 경화하는 단계; 상기 제1 섬유 라인에 형성된 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 상기 제2 섬유 라인에 형성된 제2 접촉부 금속 필름에 대해 상기 화학적 결합을 위한 처리를 수행하고, 상기 몰드의 상기 경화된 연결부 물질의 대응 부분과 접촉하여 화학적 결합으로 본딩하는 단계; 및 상기 몰드를 제거하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 연결부 물질을 채우고 경화하는 단계 전에, 상기 연결부 형상의 상기 몰드의 상기 패턴 내측에 파릴렌-C 층을 코팅하는 단계를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 제1 섬유 라인에 형성된 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 상기 제2 섬유 라인에 형성된 제2 접촉부 금속 필름에 대해 상기 화학적 결합을 위한 처리는, O2 플라즈마를 활용해 표면에 OH 기를 활성화시킨 후, 물과 에탄올에 가수분해된 APTES 수용액에 침전시켜 표면에 O-Si-NH2 기를 생성하고, O2 플라즈마를 활용해 표면에 OH기를 생성하는 처리를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치에 따르면, 섬유 위에 구현된 OLED, TFT, 캐패시터, 배선 등을 포함한 디스플레이 기술들이 서로 직조되어 디스플레이 패널화가 될 때, 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유가 직조 시에 서로 연결되는 부위에서, 물리적으로 견고하게 고정시킬 수 있으면서도, 변형에 자유로이 대응할 수 있는 유연성을 지니며, 동시에 전기 신호 전달이 가능한 전도성을 지니도록 함으로써, 인체에 착용 시 움직임에도 안정적인 전기적 연결을 통한 신호 전달을 보장받으면서도 소자가 파괴되지 않도록 안정된 디스플레이 구현이 가능하다.
예를 들어, 종래의 기술 또는 특허들은 직조 시 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유 사이가 특별한 연결부 없이 단순한 접촉의 전기적 연결이 이루어져, 움직임 시에 마찰력에 의한 접촉영역의 파괴가 일어나 단순한 접촉의 불안정성으로 인해 불안정한 소자 구동을 보일 수 있다. 본 발명에서는 이를 해결하기 위해 상기와 같은 연결부의 구조를 통하여 움직임 시에도 안정적인 신호 전달 및 구동을 가능하게 하였다.

도 1a를 참조하면, 본 발명의 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치(100)는, 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널(110), 콘트롤러(120), 게이트 구동회로(130), 데이터 구동회로(140)를 포함할 수 있다. 디스플레이 패널(110)은, 신호 섬유들(SL, DL)과, 하나 이상의 스캔 라인 신호 섬유(SL)과 하나 이상의 데이터 라인 신호 섬유(DL)에 연결부(200)에 의해 전기적으로 연결된 소자 섬유들(111)을 포함할 수 있다. 연결부(200)는, 필요에 따라, 소자 섬유(111) 내의 섬유 라인들을 전기적으로 연결하는 데 이용될 수도 있으며, 신호 섬유(SL)와 신호 섬유(DL) 사이의 섬유 라인들, 신호 섬유(SL)들 사이의 섬유 라인들, 신호 섬유(DL) 사이의 섬유 라인들을 전기적으로 전기적으로 연결하는 데 이용될 수도 있다.
콘트롤러(120)의 제어에 따라, 게이트 구동회로(130)를 통해 스캔 라인 신호 섬유(SL)를 선택하고 데이터 구동회로(140)를 통해 데이터 신호를 주면, 각각의 소자 섬유(111)가 OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode, 유기발광다이오드) 소자를 발광시킬 수 있다.
도 1b는 소자 섬유(111)의 개략적인 구성도의 일례이다.
도 1b를 참조하면, 소자 섬유(111)는 적어도 OLED 소자를 포함한다. 나아가 소자 섬유(111)는 스캔 라인 신호 섬유(SL), 데이터 라인 신호 섬유(DL), 전원 전압(VDD, GND)에 의해 구동되는, 스캔 트랜지스터(ST), 구동 트랜지스터(DT), 커패시터(C) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
도 1b는 액티브 매트릭스 구동 형태를 구현하는 소자 섬유(111)의 일례를 도시한 것이고, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 이외에도 소자 섬유(111)는 다수의 OLED, 다수의 TFT, 다수의 캐패시터 등 액티브 매트릭스 형태를 구현할 수 있는 다수의 소자들로 구성될 수 있다. 또한, 소자 섬유(111)는 패시브 매트릭스 형태를 구현할 수 있도록 적어도 OLED 소자를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 연결부(200)를 나타낸다.
도 2를 참조하면, 연결부(200)는 하부 패드(210), 상부 패드(220), 및 하부 패드(210)와 상부 패드(220)를 연결하는 기둥(230)으로 이루어진, 일체형 구조물이다. 연결부(200)는 유연성을 지닌 엘라스토머(예, PDMS, Si 계열 소재 등)와 전도성 파티클이나 전도성 와이어(예, Ag, Cu, Al, Ni, Carbon 등) 등 전도성 물질을 혼합한 소재로 이루어져, 뛰어난 가요성과 높은 전도성을 가질 수 있다. 예를 들어, Ag mps(microparticles)를 금속 파티클로 포함하는 폴리디메틸실록산(PDMS) 등이 상기 연결부(200)의 소재로 이용될 수 있다. 하부 패드(210)와 상부 패드(220)는 장방향이 서로 수직한 것으로 도시되었으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니며 다양한 각도로 형성될 수 있다.
하기하는 바와 같이, 하부 패드(210)와 상부 패드(220)는 각각 소자 섬유(111) 또는 신호 섬유(SL, DL)의 접촉 영역의 금속 필름(metal film)(예, Al, Ag 박막 등)에 화학적 결합을 활용하여 견고하게 결합되는 부분이다. 섬유 디스플레이 장치(100)를 인체 일부에 맞게 제작하여 인체에 착용 시에 움직임에 대응하여 인장 또는 스트레칭 시에도 결합을 유지하게 해준다, 또한 기둥(230)은 움직임에 대응 가능하게 하는 부분으로서 인장 또는 비틀림을 겪는다. 하지만 예를 들어 PDMS + ag mps이 혼합된 구조물일 수 있느 것과 같이, 전도 여과(conductive percolation) 효과에 의해서 인장 또는 비틀림 시에도 전기 전도성이 유지될 수 있다.
도 3a 및 도 3b는 본 발명의 연결부(200)에서 소자 섬유(111)와 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 접촉 영역의 금속 필름과의 화학적 결합을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 3a 및 도 3b를 참조하면, 본 발명의 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치(100)의 디스플레이 패널(110)은, 신호 섬유(SL/DL)로부터 연장된 섬유 라인, 소자 섬유(111)로부터 연장된 섬유 라인(111-1), 이들을 결합하는 연결부(200)를 포함할 수 있다.
신호 섬유(SL, DL)와 소자 섬유(111)의 섬유 라인은, 나노 파티클, 나노 와이어, 전도성 폴리머 또는 금속 박막 등 전도성 물질이 직물 섬유 위에 딥코팅 (dip-coating) 또는 열 진공 증착 방법 (thermal vacuum evaporation)으로 증착되어 전류 또는 전압이 인가될 시 소자 섬유(111)의 소자 등으로 전기적 신호를 전달하는 역할을 할 수 있다.
예를 들어, 연결부(200)의 하부 패드(210)는 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 원통형 곡률을 갖는 한 섬유 라인(신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 섬유 라인들 중 하나 이상으로부터 연장된 섬유라인)의 접촉부 금속 필름(202)에 화학 결합(chemical bonding)되고, 연결부(200)의 상부 패드(220)는 소자 섬유(111)의 원통형 곡률을 갖는 한 섬유 라인(111-1)(신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 소자, 커패시터 등 요소로부터 연장된 섬유라인)의 접촉부 금속 필름(112)에 화학 결합될 수 있다.
이와 같이 소자 섬유(111)와 신호 섬유(SL/DL) 사이의 화학적 결합을 통해 견고하게 부착되면서, 도 3b와 같이 회전/비틀림 시에도 연결부(200)를 통해 상호 간의 안정적인 신호 전달 역할의 수행이 가능함을 보여준다. 연결부(200)의 기둥(230) 부분은 PDMS + ag mps이 혼합된 구조물과 같은 탄성 소재에 의해 회전/비틀림 시에도 안정적인 신호 공급이 가능하게 한다.
이와 같은 연결부(200)는, 필요에 따라, 소자 섬유(111) 내의 섬유 라인들을 전기적으로 연결하는 데 이용될 수도 있으며, 신호 섬유(SL)와 신호 섬유(DL) 사이의 섬유 라인들, 신호 섬유(SL)들 사이의 섬유 라인들, 신호 섬유(DL) 사이의 섬유 라인들을 전기적으로 전기적으로 연결하는 데 이용될 수도 있다.
도 4는 본 발명의 연결부(200)를 이용한 소자 섬유(111)와 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 매트릭스 형태의 결합을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 4와 같이, 연결부(200)의 하부 패드(210)들 각각이 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 원통형 곡률을 갖는 복수의 라인 각각의 접촉부 금속 필름(202)에 화학 결합될 수 있으며, 연결부(200)의 상부 패드(220)들 각각은 소자 섬유(111)의 원통형 곡률을 갖는 복수의 라인(111-1) 각각의 접촉부 금속 필름(112)에 화학 결합될 수 있다. 리둔던시 또는 저항을 줄이이기 위한 경우 등 필요에 따라 이와 같은 M개의 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 라인들과 N개의 소자 섬유(111)의 라인들(111-1)이 연결부(200)를 통해 화학 결합되어, 서로 전기적으로 연결될 수 있다. M과 N은 1 이상의 자연수로서 설계에 따라 적절한 개수로 선택될 수 있다.
도 5는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 연결부(200) 제작용 몰드(500)를 만드는 과정을 설명하기 위한 흐름도이다.
도 5를 참조하면, 먼저, PDMS와 같은 탄성 소재로, 하부 패드(210) 형성을 위한 제1 레이어(510), 기둥(230) 형성을 위한 제2 레이어(520), 및 상부 패드(220) 형성을 위한 제3 레이어(530)를 준비한다. 몰드(500)를 구성하는 제1 레이어(510), 제2 레이어(520), 제3 레이어(530) 각각의 해당 패턴은, 그에 맞게 가공하기 위한, 레이저를 이용한 패터닝 또는 포토리소그래피를 이용한 패터닝 등을 이용하여 만들어질 수 있다. 제1 레이어(510), 제2 레이어(520), 제3 레이어(530) 각각의 해당 패턴은 가로, 세로 높이가 각각, 수십 내지 수백 μm일 수 있고, 경우에 따라서는 수mm일 수도 있다.
다음에, 몰드(500)를 구성하는 제1 레이어(510), 제2 레이어(520), 제3 레이어(530)를 소정의 반응기에서 플라즈마 처리(예, O2 플라즈마 처리 복수회 가능)하여 세정하고, 수직으로 3개 레이어를 정렬해 각 레이어 사이에 실록산(siloxane) 등을 이용해 비가역 본딩으로 접착하여, 몰드(500)를 완성한다.
이와 같은 방식을 이용하여, 도 4와 같은 M x N 매트릭스 형태의 연결부(200)를 위한 몰드(500)의 제작도 가능한 것이다.
도 6은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 몰드(500)를 이용한 연결부(200)의 제작 과정을 설명하기 위한 흐름도이다.
도 6을 참조하면, 먼저, 유리 등 소정의 기판 위에 몰드(500)를 올려 놓고, 몰드(500)의 패턴, 즉, 연결부(200) 형상의 패턴 내측에 파릴렌-C(Parylene-C) 층이 도포되도록 코팅한다. 파릴렌-C 층을 CVD(Chemical Vapor Deposition) 방식 등으로 두께 1~5 μm 증착할 수 있다. 파릴렌-C 층과 같이, 수 나노 미터 (nm) 이하의 표면 거칠기를 가지고 인체에 무해한 Parylene 계열의 물질을 이용함으로써 착용시 인체와 접촉시에도 인체에 무해하도록 한다.
다음에, 몰드(500) 패턴에 스크린 프린팅 또는 스텐실링 방법 등을 이용하여 상기한 바와 같은 액상의 연결부(200) 소재가 패턴에 스며들도록 채운 후 100~130℃에서 30분~2시간 등 적절한 시간 동안 경화한다.
이와 같은 방식을 이용하여, 도 4와 같은 M x N 매트릭스 형태의 연결부(200)의 제작도 가능한 것이다.
도 7은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 연결부(200)를 이용한 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 접촉 영역의 금속 필름과의 화학적 결합을 좀 더 자세히 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 7을 참조하면, 소자 섬유(111)나 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 해당 라인의 접촉부 금속 필름(202/112)(예, Al, Ag 박막 등)을 O2 플라즈마를 활용해 표면에 OH 기를 활성화시킨다.
이어서, 물과 에탄올에 가수분해(hydrolysis)된 APTES 수용액에 침전시켜 금속 필름(202/112) 표면에 O-Si-NH2 기를 생성한다.
다음으로, 금속 필름(202/112)을 꺼내어 다시 O2 플라즈마를 활용해 표면에 OH기를 생성한다.
이어서, 연결부(200)의 하부 패드(210) 또는 상부 패드(220)와 금속 필름(202/112)을 수 초 접촉시키면 실록산(siloxane) 본딩(bonding) 결합이 생겨 단단하게 고정된다.
도 8은 본 발명의 연결부(200)와 소자 섬유(111) 및 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 접촉 영역의 금속 필름과의 화학적 결합에 의한 견고한 접착 및 전도성에 대한 개요도이다.
도 8을 참조하면, 소자 섬유(111)나 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 해당 라인의 접촉부 금속 필름(202/112)(예, Al, Ag 박막 등)과, 연결부(200)의 PDMS+Ag mps 등의 소재 사이는, 실록산(siloxane) 본딩으로 견고하게 접착되어 있으며, 예를 들어, Ag mps(microparticles)과 Al를 통해 전기적 통로를 형성할 수 있다. 이는 실시 예로서, Al은 전기 전도성을 갖는 금속 종류 중 하나, PDMS는 Si 기반 엘라스토머의 종류 중 하나, Ag mps는 전기 전도성 물질의 종류 중 하나이다.
도 9는 본 발명의 연결부(200)의 결합 공정 방식을 통해 결합된 연결부(200)와 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 결합 구조물 (예, 1x3 형태)의 실사(좌상)와 확대사진(우상), 현미경 이미지(좌하), SEM(우하) 이미지이다.
도 9와 같이, 신호 섬유(SL/DL)와 연결부(200)의 하부 패드(210)가 견고하게 결합되어 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
여기서는 도 3a, 3b에서 언급한 구조의 신호 섬유(SL/DL) 1개 위에 올라간 구조물이 예시이다.
도 10은 본 발명의 연결부(200)를 이용한 소자 섬유(111)와 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 매트릭스 형태의 결합을 구현하기 위한 공정 방법을 설명하기 위한 도면이다.
도 10을 참조하면, 먼저, 매트릭스 형태(예, 3 x 3)의 결합을 위해, 신호 섬유(SL/DL)의 해당 라인의 접촉부 금속 필름(202) (예, Al, Ag 박막 등)에 대해 도 7과 같이 OH 기 생성, O-Si-NH2 기 생성, OH 기 생성을 순차적으로 처리한다(S1010).
다음에, 금속 필름(202) (예, Al, Ag 박막 등) 상에 도 6과 같이 연결부(200) 소재가 경화되어 있는 몰드(500)의 하부 패드(210)를 접촉시켜 도 7과 같은 화학적 결합으로 본딩이 이루어지도록 한다(S1020).
마찬가지로, 소자 섬유(111)의 해당 라인(111-1)의 접촉부 금속 필름(112) (예, Al, Ag 박막 등)에 대해 도 7과 같이 OH 기 생성, O-Si-NH2 기 생성, OH 기 생성을 순차적으로 처리된 것을 준비하고, 몰드(500)의 상부 패드(220) 위에, 소자 섬유(111)의 해당 라인(111-1)의 접촉부 금속 필름(112)(예, Al, Ag 박막 등)을 접촉시켜 도 7과 같은 화학적 결합으로 본딩이 이루어지도록 한다(S1030).
이와 같이 몰드(500)의 하부 패드(210)와 상부 패드(220)가 각 섬유와 화학적 결합으로 본딩이 이루어진 후, PDMS와 같은 탄성 소재로 이루어진 몰드(500)를 물리적으로 제거한다(S1040). 몰드(500)의 제거에는 디이소프로필아민(Diisopropylamine)과 같은 용해제를 이용할 수도 있다.
도 11은 본 발명의 연결부(200)의 하부 패드(210)와 상부 패드(220)를 통해 신호 섬유(SL/DL)와 소자 섬유(111)가 전기적으로 결합되고, 소자 섬유(111)에 구비된 OLED 소자가 구동된 예이다.
도 11과 같이, 연결부(200)의 하부 패드(210)와 상부 패드(220)를 통해 신호 섬유(SL/DL)와 소자 섬유(111)가 화학적 결합에 의해 본딩이 적절히 이루어져, OLED 소자의 구동이 안정적으로 이루어지고 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
도 12는 본 발명의 연결부(200)의 하부 패드(210)와 상부 패드(220)를 통해 신호 섬유(SL/DL)와 소자 섬유(111)가 전기적으로 결합되고, 섬유들의 비틀림이나 인장에 의한 변형 시에 소자 섬유(111)에 구비된 OLED 소자의 구동 예이다.
도 12와 같이, 연결부(200)의 하부 패드(210)와 상부 패드(220)를 통해 신호 섬유(SL/DL)와 소자 섬유(111)가 화학적 결합에 의해 본딩이 적절히 이루어져, 섬유들의 비틀림이나 인장의 힘(F)에 의한 변형 시에도, OLED 소자의 구동이 안정적으로 이루어지고 있음을 확인할 수 있다.
상술한 바와 같이, 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치(100)에 따르면, 섬유 위에 구현된 OLED, TFT, 캐패시터, 배선 등을 포함한 디스플레이 기술들이 서로 직조되어 디스플레이 패널화가 될 때, 소자 섬유(111)와 신호 섬유(SL/DL)가 직조 시에 서로 연결되는 부위에서, 물리적으로 견고하게 고정시킬 수 있으면서도, 변형에 자유로이 대응할 수 있는 유연성을 지니며, 동시에 전기 신호 전달이 가능한 전도성을 지니도록 함으로써, 인체에 착용 시 움직임에도 안정적인 전기적 연결을 통한 신호 전달을 보장받으면서도 소자가 파괴되지 않도록 안정된 디스플레이 구현이 가능하다.
예를 들어, 종래의 기술 또는 특허들은 직조 시 소자 섬유와 신호 섬유 사이가 특별한 연결부 없이 단순한 접촉의 전기적 연결이 이루어져, 움직임 시에 마찰력에 의한 접촉영역의 파괴가 일어나 단순한 접촉의 불안정성으로 인해 불안정한 소자 구동을 보일 수 있다. 본 발명에서는 이를 해결하기 위해 상기와 같은 연결부(200)의 구조를 통하여 움직임 시에도 안정적인 신호 전달 및 구동을 가능하게 하였다.
이상과 같이 본 발명에서는 구체적인 구성 요소 등과 같은 특정 사항들과 한정된 실시예 및 도면에 의해 설명되었으나 이는 본 발명의 보다 전반적인 이해를 돕기 위해서 제공된 것일 뿐, 본 발명은 상기의 실시예에 한정되는 것은 아니며, 본 발명이 속하는 분야에서 통상적인 지식을 가진 자라면 본 발명의 본질적인 특성에서 벗어나지 않는 범위에서 다양한 수정 및 변형이 가능할 것이다. 따라서, 본 발명의 사상은 설명된 실시예에 국한되어 정해져서는 아니 되며, 후술하는 특허청구범위뿐 아니라 이 특허청구범위와 균등하거나 등가적 변형이 있는 모든 기술 사상은 본 발명의 권리범위에 포함되는 것으로 해석되어야 할 것이다.

Claims (10)

  1. 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치를 위한 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널에 있어서,
    적어도 OLED 소자를 포함하는 소자 섬유;
    복수의 스캔 라인 신호 섬유 및 복수의 데이터 라인 신호 섬유를 포함하는 신호 섬유; 및
    전도성 물질이 직물 섬유 위에 형성되어 있는 상기 신호 섬유의 제1 섬유 라인과 상기 소자 섬유의 제2 섬유 라인을 연결하기 위한 연결부를 포함하고,
    상기 연결부는, 상기 제1 섬유 라인에 형성된 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 상기 제2 섬유 라인에 형성된 제2 접촉부 금속 필름 사이에 화학적 결합으로 본딩되는 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 신호 섬유의 제1 섬유 라인 2개 사이를 화학적 결합으로 본딩하는 제2 연결부를 더 포함하는 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 소자 섬유의 제2 섬유 라인 2개 사이를 화학적 결합으로 본딩하는 제3 연결부를 더 포함하는 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널.
  4. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 연결부는, 엘라스토머와 전도성 물질을 혼합한 소재로 이루어진 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널.
  5. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 연결부는, 폴리디메틸실록산(PDMS)에 Ag mps(microparticles)를 혼합한 소재로 이루어진 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널.
  6. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 연결부는,
    상기 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 화학적 결합으로 본딩되는 제1 패드,
    상기 제2 접촉부 금속 필름과 화학적 결합으로 본딩되는 제2 패드, 및
    상기 제1 패드 및 상기 제2 패드 사이의 기둥을 포함하며,
    상기 제1 패드, 상기 제2 패드 및 상기 기둥은 일체형으로 이루어진 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널.
  7. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 연결부는, 전도 여과(conductive percolation) 효과에 의해서 인장 또는 비틀림 시에도 전기 전도성이 유지되는 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널.
  8. 섬유 직조 디스플레이 장치를 위한 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널의 제작 방법에 있어서,
    상기 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널은, 적어도 OLED 소자를 포함하는 소자 섬유; 복수의 스캔 라인 신호 섬유 및 복수의 데이터 라인 신호 섬유를 포함하는 신호 섬유; 및 전도성 물질이 직물 섬유 위에 형성되어 있는 상기 신호 섬유의 제1 섬유 라인과 상기 소자 섬유의 제2 섬유 라인을 연결하기 위한 연결부를 포함하고,
    상기 연결부 형상을 갖는 패턴을 갖는 몰드에, 연결부 물질을 채우고 경화하는 단계;
    상기 제1 섬유 라인에 형성된 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 상기 제2 섬유 라인에 형성된 제2 접촉부 금속 필름에 대해 상기 화학적 결합을 위한 처리를 수행하고, 상기 몰드의 상기 경화된 연결부 물질의 대응 부분과 접촉하여 화학적 결합으로 본딩하는 단계; 및
    상기 몰드를 제거하는 단계
    를 포함하는, 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널의 제작 방법.
  9. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 연결부 물질을 채우고 경화하는 단계 전에,
    상기 연결부 형상의 상기 몰드의 상기 패턴 내측에 파릴렌-C 층을 코팅하는 단계
    를 더 포함하는 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널의 제작 방법.
  10. 제8항에 있어서,
    상기 제1 섬유 라인에 형성된 제1 접촉부 금속 필름과 상기 제2 섬유 라인에 형성된 제2 접촉부 금속 필름에 대해 상기 화학적 결합을 위한 처리는,
    O2 플라즈마를 활용해 표면에 OH 기를 활성화시킨 후,
    물과 에탄올에 가수분해된 APTES 수용액에 침전시켜 표면에 O-Si-NH2 기를 생성하고,
    O2 플라즈마를 활용해 표면에 OH기를 생성하는 처리를 포함하는 섬유 직조 디스플레이 패널의 제작 방법.
