Definitions
- This disclosure relates to a fluid pressure actuator.
- JP 2021-088999 A discloses a fluid pressure actuator that includes a cylindrical tube that expands and contracts due to fluid pressure, an elastic structure made of woven fiber cords oriented in a predetermined direction, a sleeve that covers the outer surface of the tube, and a sealing member that seals the axial end of the tube, and includes a restraining member that is provided inside the sleeve from one end to the other end in the axial direction, and the restraining member resists compression along the axial direction and is deformable in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction.
- the present disclosure aims to provide a fluid pressure actuator in which the restraining member that contacts the insertion portion of the sealing member via a tube is less likely to tilt in the circumferential direction of the sealing member when assembling the fluid pressure actuator.
- the fluid pressure actuator of the first embodiment comprises a cylindrical tube that expands and contracts in response to fluid pressure, a sleeve that covers the outer circumferential surface of the tube and expands the tube radially while restricting its axial extension as the tube expands, a plate-shaped restraining member that is provided radially inside the sleeve from one side to the other in the axial direction, resists compression along the axial direction, and is deformable in a direction intersecting the axial direction, and a pair of sealing members that seal the ends of the tube on one side and the other side in the axial direction, respectively, and have insertion portions into which the tube is inserted, and at least one of the insertion portions of the pair of sealing members has a flat portion that is in close contact with the plate surface of the restraining member via the tube when viewed from the axial direction.
- a flat portion is provided on the insertion portion of at least one of the sealing members in the axial direction, which is in close contact with the plate surface of the restraining member via the tube when viewed from the axial direction. Therefore, when assembling the fluid pressure actuator, the restraining member is in close contact with the flat portion via the tube, making it difficult for the restraining member to rotate in the circumferential direction.
- the second embodiment of the fluid pressure actuator is the fluid pressure actuator described in the first embodiment, in which the insertion portion has a groove within the range of the axial length that divides the flat portion in the axial direction.
- the insertion section has a groove that divides the flat section in the axial direction within the range of its axial length, so that after crimping, the tube bites into the groove formed in the flat section.
- the third embodiment of the fluid pressure actuator is the fluid pressure actuator described in the first or second embodiment, in which the sealing member has a locking portion that engages with a crimping member that crimps the sleeve outside the insertion portion in the axial direction, and a large diameter portion between the locking portion and the insertion portion that is larger in diameter than the locking portion and the insertion portion, the large diameter portion has a second flat portion that is formed continuous with the flat portion and is parallel to the plate surface of the restraining member when viewed from the axial direction, and the axial end of the restraining member is within the axial range of the second flat portion.
- the large diameter portion of the sealing member has a second flat portion that is formed continuous with the flat portion of the insertion portion and is parallel to the plate surface of the restraining member when viewed from the axial direction, so that when the axial end of the restraining member is within the axial range of the second flat portion, the hard flat surfaces of the restraining member and the hard second flat portion of the sealing member meet.
- the restraining member can be fixed in a state crimped by the crimping member with less tendency to tilt in the circumferential direction compared to when a flat portion is formed only on the insertion portion.
- the fourth aspect of the fluid pressure actuator is the fluid pressure actuator described in the third aspect, in which the second flat portion is formed radially outward from the flat portion within a range of less than twice the thickness of the tube.
- the end of the restraining member will be positioned radially outward of the second flat portion by the thickness of the tube, resulting in a gap between the end of the restraining member and the second flat portion.
- the second flat portion is formed radially outward from the flat portion within a range of less than twice the thickness of the tube. Therefore, with this fluid pressure actuator, the end of the restraining member comes into close contact with the flat portion after crimping, completely eliminating the circumferential inclination of the restraining member, and since the positions of the restraining member and the second flat portion are closer during assembly, assembly is easier than when the second flat portion is positioned at the same radial position as the flat portion.
- the fifth aspect of the fluid pressure actuator is the fluid pressure actuator described in any one of the first to fourth aspects, in which the flat portion is provided on both of the pair of sealing members.
- both of the pair of sealing members are formed with flat portions that restrict the rotation of the restraining member, so that when assembling the fluid pressure actuator, it is possible to obtain a fluid pressure actuator that is easy to assemble with the restraining member in a state where twisting is eliminated.
- the present disclosure provides a fluid pressure actuator in which the restraining member that contacts the insertion portion of the sealing member via the tube is less likely to tilt in the circumferential direction of the sealing member when assembling the fluid pressure actuator.

- FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating a sealing member according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
- FIG. 2 is a plan view illustrating a sealing member according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
- FIG. 2 is a side view illustrating a sealing member according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
- 1 is a cross-sectional view illustrating an operation of a fluid pressure actuator according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
- FIG. 13 is a perspective view illustrating a sealing member according to a modified example of the present disclosure.
- the fluid pressure actuator 20 includes an actuator body portion 22, a first sealing portion 30A, and a second sealing portion 30B.
- the actuator body 22 has a tube 24, a sleeve 26, and a restraining member 28.
- the tube 24 is cylindrical and can expand and contract due to elastic deformation, and expands and contracts due to pressure changes of the internal fluid.
- the axial direction of the tube 24 is defined as "axial direction S".
- the tube 24 can be made of an elastic material such as butyl rubber. Air can be used as the fluid supplied to the tube 24, in which case the fluid pressure actuator 20 becomes an air actuator.
- the fluid pressure actuator 20 is hydraulically driven, it is preferable to use at least one type selected from the group consisting of NBR (nitrile rubber), which has high oil resistance, or hydrogenated NBR, chloroprene rubber, and epichlorohydrin rubber.
- the sleeve 26 is cylindrical and covers the outer circumference of the tube 24.
- the sleeve 26 is an elastic structure made by weaving fiber cords oriented in a predetermined direction, and the oriented cords cross at a predetermined angle ⁇ with respect to the axial direction S. By having such a shape, the sleeve 26 undergoes a pantograph deformation that changes the angle ⁇ , and follows the contraction and expansion of the tube 24 while regulating this contraction and expansion.
- the cord that constitutes the sleeve 26 is preferably a fiber cord made of aromatic polyamide (aramid fiber) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
- aromatic polyamide aromatic polyamide
- PET polyethylene terephthalate
- PBO polyparaphenylene benzobisoxazole
- the restraining member 28 is provided between the tube 24 and the sleeve 26.
- the restraining member 28 is in the form of a long plate, and is arranged such that its longitudinal direction is aligned with the axial direction S of the tube 24, covering part of the outer periphery of the tube 24, and is arranged from one end of the tube 24 to the other end.
- the restraining member 28 is formed of a plate-like material that does not expand or contract when pressurized, and is capable of bending in a direction in which the ends approach each other.
- a so-called leaf spring can be used as the restraining member 28.
- the dimensions of the leaf spring are determined according to the size of the fluid pressure actuator 20 and the required gripping force.
- the length of the axial direction S of the restraining member 28 is set to a range from the length of the axial direction S of the tube 24 to the length of the axial direction S of the tube 24 plus approximately twice the length of the axial direction S of the large diameter portion 50.
- the material of the leaf spring is not particularly limited, but typically it is a material that is easy to bend and is resistant to compression, such as a metal such as stainless steel. Alternatively, it may be formed of a thin plate of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).
- CFRP carbon fiber reinforced plastic
- the first sealing portion 30A has a first sealing member 32, a locking ring 34, and a crimping member 36.
- the first sealing member 32 has an integrally molded lid portion 32A, an insertion portion 32B, a locking portion 48, and a large diameter portion 50.
- the lid portion 32A is a generally rectangular parallelepiped with a diameter larger than the outer diameter of the tube 24, and the locking portion 48, the large diameter portion 50, and the insertion portion 32B extend in the axial direction S from the center of one end side of the lid portion 32A.
- the insertion portion 32B has a so-called bamboo shoot shape, and is inserted into one end of the tube 24 inside the sleeve 26. As shown in Figures 3 to 5, the insertion portion 32B has a first flat portion 40, which is an example of the flat portion of the present disclosure, and a plurality of grooves 44 within the range of its length in the axial direction S. The specific shape of the first flat portion 40 will be described later.
- the locking portion 48 is a cylindrical portion that is smaller in diameter than the cover portion 32A and the insertion portion 32B at the other end side of the insertion portion 32B in the axial direction S.
- the large diameter portion 50 is a portion that is larger in diameter than the locking portion 48 and the inner diameter of the tube 24 at one end side of the locking portion 48 in the axial direction S, and has a second flat portion 52.
- the locking portion 48 side of the large diameter portion 50 is a tapered portion 49 that is smaller in diameter toward the locking portion 48. The specific shape of the second flat portion 52 will be described later.
- the first sealing portion 30A is preferably made of a metal such as stainless steel, but is not limited to such metals and may be made of a hard plastic material, etc.
- a flow path R is formed in the radial center of the insertion portion 32B, extending in the axial direction S, and is connected to a connection hole H on the side of the cover portion 32A (see also FIG. 6).
- An air supply hose (not shown) is connected to the connection hole H, and compressed air is supplied to the flow path R.
- the locking ring 34 is ring-shaped and is disposed on the outside of the sleeve 26 so as to sandwich the sleeve 26 between itself and the locking portion 48, and locks the sleeve 26 to the first sealing member 32.
- the sleeve 26 is folded back to its outer periphery via the locking ring 34.
- the locking ring 34 can be made of materials such as metal, hard plastic, fiber, and rubber.
- the crimping member 36 is disposed so as to cover the outer periphery of the actuator body 22 where the insertion portion 32B is inserted, and presses the actuator body 22 against the first sealing member 32. This fixes the actuator body 22 to the first sealing member 32.
- the crimping member 36 can be made of a metal such as an aluminum alloy, brass, or iron.
- first flat portion 40 and the second flat portion 52 are portions that face a direction intersecting the axial direction S (hereinafter referred to as the "intersecting direction X") as shown in Figures 3 to 6.
- intersecting direction X is the normal direction of the first flat portion 40 and the second flat portion 52.
- the first flat portion 40 is a portion of the assembled fluid pressure actuator 20 that comes into close contact with the plate surface of the restraining member 28 via the tube 24 when viewed from the axial direction S.
- made flat means that the portion is substantially flat when viewed macroscopically, as shown in Figures 3 to 6, and "parallel to the axial direction S” means that the portion is parallel to the axial direction S when viewed macroscopically. In other words, "made flat” may be formed with some manufacturing error.
- the first flat portion 40 is divided in the axial direction S by a groove 44 formed in the insertion portion 32B, as shown in Figures 4 and 5. That is, in this embodiment, the first flat portion 40 is a portion in which a plurality of divided surfaces 42 divided in the axial direction S by the grooves 44 are in close contact with the plate surface of the restraining member 28 via the tube 24 as a whole.
- the groove 44 is, for example, a so-called bamboo shoot-shaped groove portion, and is formed so as to be endless in the circumferential direction when the insertion portion 32B is viewed from the axial direction S.
- the first flat portion 40 may be formed in any manner, but as an example, it is formed by cutting one side of the insertion portion 32B in the so-called bamboo shoot shape in the transverse direction X (the side to which the restraining member 28 is attached) to the extent that a groove 44 remains.
- the second flat portion 52 is the portion that comes into contact with the plate surface of the restraining member 28 after crimping when viewed from the axial direction S in the assembled fluid pressure actuator 20.
- the second flat portion 52 is formed continuous with the first flat portion 40, and has a surface that is parallel to the axial direction S.
- the boundary between the second flat portion 52 and the tapered portion 49 is an edge portion 52E that is curved so that the tapered portion 49 side is convex in a plan view, as shown in FIG. 4.
- the second sealing portion 30B has a second sealing member 33, a locking ring 34, and a crimping member 36.
- the second sealing member 33 is similar to the first sealing member 32 of the first sealing portion 30A, except that the connection hole H and the flow path R are not formed, and the tip is R-shaped.
- the sealing portion 30 when there is no distinction between the first sealing portion 30A and the second sealing portion 30B, they are referred to as the sealing portion 30.
- the restraining member 28 is placed so that it contacts the first flat portion 40 via the tube 24 and overlaps the second flat portion 52.
- the circumferential position at which the restraining member 28 is placed is on the outside of the direction in which the actuator body 22 bends (the direction perpendicular to the axial direction S), as described below.
- one end of the restraining member 28 in the axial direction S is positioned closer to the insertion portion 32B than the end 52A of the edge portion 52E, which is the boundary between the second flat portion 52 and the tapered portion 49.
- the end of the restraining member 28 in the axial direction S is within the range of the axial direction S of the second flat portion 52. It is more preferable that the end of the restraining member 28 is positioned so that the entirety of the end of the restraining member 28 overlaps with the second flat portion 52 in a plan view, as shown in FIG. 4 (the end of the restraining member 28 does not overlap the edge portion 52E).
- the sleeve 26 is hung on the tube 24 and the lid portion 32A of the first sealing portion 30A to cover the outer surface of the restraining member 28, and the locking ring 34 is attached from the radial outside of the sleeve 26 at the position of the locking portion 48, thereby locking the sleeve 26 to the locking portion 48.
- the sleeve 26 is folded back to the insertion portion 32B of the first sealing portion 30A so that the locking ring 34 is on the inside, and the crimping member 36 is positioned from the radial outside of the sleeve 26 across the insertion portion 32B and the locking portion 48, and is crimped by a crimping machine (not shown).
- a crimping machine not shown.
- the tube 24, the restraining member 28, and the sleeve 26 are fixed to the first sealing portion 30A on one side of the axial direction S of the actuator body 22.
- the restraining member 28 comes into contact with and is fixed to the second flat portion 52, thereby restricting circumferential movement after crimping.
- the restraining member 28 is positioned so as to overlap with the second flat portion 52 of the large diameter portion 50.
- the length in the axial direction S of the restraining member 28 in this embodiment is in the range from the length in the axial direction S of the tube 24 to the length in the axial direction S of the tube 24 plus approximately twice the length in the axial direction S of the large diameter portion 50. Therefore, the other end of the restraining member 28 in the axial direction S is within the range of the axial direction S of the second flat portion 52 in the second sealing portion 30B, just like the end on one side.
- the sleeve 26 is hung on the tube 24 and the lid portion 32A of the second sealing portion 30B to cover the outer circumferential surface of the restraining member 28, and the locking ring 34 is attached from the radial outside of the sleeve 26 at the position of the locking portion 48, thereby locking the sleeve 26 to the locking portion 48.
- the sleeve 26 is folded back to the insertion portion 32B of the second sealing portion 30B so that the locking ring 34 is on the inside, and the crimping member 36 is placed from the radial outside of the sleeve 26 across the insertion portion 32B and the locking portion 48, and is crimped by a crimping machine (not shown).
- a crimping machine not shown.
- one side and the other side of the tube 24 are sealed with the first sealing portion 30A and the second sealing portion 30B, and the fluid pressure actuator 20 is assembled.
- the fluid pressure actuator 20 is used such that a first sealing portion 30A on one end side is fixed and a second sealing portion 30B on the other end side is a free end.
- the restraining member 28 has a length in the width direction, and therefore is unlikely to bend in any direction other than the plate thickness direction, i.e., the direction intersecting the axial direction S of the first sealing portion 30A and the second sealing portion 30B. In other words, as shown in FIG. 6, the restraining member 28 bends in a direction toward the axis of the tube 24.
- the first flat portion 40 that is parallel to the plate surface of the restraining member 28 via the tube when viewed from the axial direction is provided in the insertion portion 32B of at least one sealing member in the axial direction S. Therefore, when assembling the fluid pressure actuator 20, the restraining member 28 is kept parallel to the first flat portion 40 via the tube 24, so that the restraining member 28 is less likely to rotate in the circumferential direction.
- the insertion portion 32B has a groove 44 that divides the first flat portion 40 in the axial direction S within the length of the axial direction S, so that the tube 24 bites into the groove 44 of the first flat portion 40 after crimping with the crimping machine. Therefore, in this fluid pressure actuator 20, fluid is less likely to leak from the insertion portion 32B compared to when the first flat portion 40 is formed from a single plane.
- the large diameter portion 50 of the sealing member has a second flat portion 52 that is connected to the first flat portion 40 and faces in the intersecting direction so as to be in close contact with the plate surface of the restraining member 28 when viewed from the axial direction S. Therefore, in the fluid pressure actuator 20 of this embodiment, the restraining member 28 comes into contact with a hard portion of the sealing member. As a result, according to this fluid pressure actuator 20, the sealing member can be more firmly fixed in a crimped state by the crimping member 36, compared to when the first flat portion 40 is formed only on the insertion portion 32B.
- the end of the restraining member 28 in the axial direction S is located at a position that overlaps with the second flat portion 52 in a plan view. Therefore, with the fluid pressure actuator 20 of this embodiment, the restraining member 28 is less likely to rotate in the circumferential direction when assembling the fluid pressure actuator 20, compared to when the end of the restraining member 28 protrudes from the second flat portion 52 (when the end of the restraining member 28 overlaps with the edge portion 52E).
- a first flat portion 40 that restricts the rotation of the restraining member 28 is formed on both of the pair of sealing members. This makes it possible to obtain a fluid pressure actuator 20 that is easy to assemble with the restraining member 28 in a state where any twisting of the restraining member 28 is eliminated when assembling the fluid pressure actuator 20.
- FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a first sealing member 32 according to a modified example of the present disclosure.
- a second flat portion 152 is formed radially outward of the first flat portion 40 in the large diameter portion 50 of the first sealing member 32.
- the second flat portion 152 and the first flat portion 40 are formed to be connected via a step.
- the size of the step between the first flat portion 40 and the second flat portion 152 is, for example, the thickness of the tube 24 in a state in which it is not elastically deformed. Note that, even in this modified example, it is preferable that the end of the axial direction S of the restraining member 28 is within the range of the axial direction S of the second flat portion 152.
- the second flat portion 52 is formed radially outward of the first flat portion 40 by the thickness of the tube 24. Therefore, with this fluid pressure actuator 20, the end of the restraining member 28 is in close contact with the first flat portion 40 via the tube 24, and is positioned closer to the second flat portion 152 by the thickness of the tube 24. In this way, assembly is easier than when the second flat portion 52 is positioned radially equal to the first flat portion 40.
- the sealing member can be more firmly fixed in the crimped state by the crimping member 36, compared to when the first flat portion 40 is formed only on the insertion portion 32B.
- the first sealing portion 30A and the second sealing portion 30B have the first flat portion 40 and the second flat portion 52, but the fluid pressure actuator 20 according to the present disclosure is not limited to this. That is, either one of the first sealing portion 30A or the second sealing portion 30B may be configured not to have the first flat portion 40 or the second flat portion 52. Even in this case, since the other of the first sealing portion 30A or the second sealing portion 30B has a flat portion, it is possible to obtain a fluid pressure actuator 20 in which the restraining member 28 is less likely to tilt in the circumferential direction of the sealing portion when assembling the fluid pressure actuator 20.
- the end of the axial direction S of the restraining member 28 is located at a position overlapping the second flat portion 52 in a plan view, but the fluid pressure actuator 20 according to the present disclosure is not limited to this.
- the end of the axial direction S of the restraining member 28 may overlap the end 52A of the edge portion 52E of the second flat portion 52, and the end of the restraining member 28 may protrude from the second flat portion 52 in the width direction (the up-down direction in FIG. 4).
- the end of the restraining member 28 may overlap the edge portion 52E. Even in this case, it is possible to obtain a fluid pressure actuator 20 in which the restraining member 28 is less likely to tilt in the circumferential direction at the sealing portion when assembling the fluid pressure actuator 20.
- the end of the axial direction S of the restraining member 28 is within the range of the axial direction S of the second flat portion 52, but the fluid pressure actuator 20 according to the present disclosure is not limited to this. That is, the end of the axial direction S of the restraining member 28 may be located within the range of the length of the first flat portion 40. Even in this case, it is possible to obtain a fluid pressure actuator 20 in which the restraining member 28 is less likely to tilt in the circumferential direction at the sealing portion when assembling the fluid pressure actuator 20.
- the second flat portion 52 is formed at the same radial position as the first flat portion 40, but the fluid pressure actuator 20 according to the present disclosure is not limited to this. If the second flat portion 52 is formed radially outward from the first flat portion 40 within a range of less than twice the thickness of the tube 24, the position of the second flat portion 52 will be closer to the restraining member 28 by the thickness of the tube 24.
- a fluid pressure actuator 20 in which the second flat portion is formed radially outward from the first flat portion 40 within a range of less than twice the thickness of the tube is easier to assemble than a case in which the second flat portion 52 is at the same radial position as the first flat portion 40, and since the restraining member 28 and the second flat portion 52 are in close contact after crimping, it is less likely to tilt in the circumferential direction.
- the first flat portion 40 is divided into multiple portions in the axial direction S by the groove 44 formed in the insertion portion 32B, but the fluid pressure actuator 20 according to the present disclosure is not limited to this. That is, the insertion portion 32B may be configured without the groove 44. Even in this case, when assembling the fluid pressure actuator 20, the restraining member 28 is in close contact with the first flat portion 40 via the tube 24, so that the restraining member 28 is unlikely to rotate in the circumferential direction.

Description
<変形例>
