Description

AN AUTOMATIC DISPENSER FOR APPLICATION OF DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE AND A METHOD FOR ITS APPLICATION
Technological Field:
The invention relates to a dispenser that applies double-sided tape to ensure the bonding of sheet metal, metal, wood or plastic plates or surfaces on all kinds of goods, especially white goods.
The State of Art:
Today, white and brown goods are indispensable for every home, and in the sector, it is aimed that the machines used in production, especially during the production intervals called seasons, produce maximum production per unit time. In the sector, product models formed according to market and customer preferences are changed in production lines at regular intervals and it is aimed to fulfill all customer orders as quickly as possible.
In these types of goods, double-sided tapes are used to attach plates or objects. Double-sided tape application is done manually.
One of the most important disadvantages of the known technique is that sufficient precision cannot be achieved when bonding the tape by hand. Since it is done manually, human errors can occur and the production process is negatively affected.
Double-sided tapes consist of strips wrapped in bobbin form. The part called strip comprises double-sided tape and a PVC layer on the outer surface. In order to apply the tape, the PVC layer must be opened, revealing the adhesive on it. In the process performed manually, the person performing the process constantly touches the tape with his/her hand, which damages the adhesive properties of the tape.
The time and quality losses caused by the period spent manually performing and adjusting the bonding process are considerable. During the product development phase, a 1 -meter gluing process generally takes around 30 seconds on average at just one station on the line. This time can be reduced to 1-5 seconds with a machine suitable for automation. The invention subject to the description focuses on this subject.
Production losses are not only experienced as time and quality problems. The operators that are changed consist of an average of 2 people for each line. Economic losses also occur due to wastage of operators during gluing, physical injuries as a result of work accidents such as falling and hitting, due to the weight of the bobbins and the physical conditions on the lines, and damage to the production lines.
The disadvantages of the manual double-sided tape application process are summarized below.
• Opening it manually every time it is applied, weakening its adhesive properties due to contact with the adhesive surface by hand while opening it,
• Possibility of irregularity in flatness while drawing strips onto the plane surface,
• Cutting with scissors after each application,
• Wrinkling of the strip, resulting in wastage, due to manual separation of the PVC layer on the outer surface of the strip.
As a result, there is a need for a new automatic dispenser that overcomes the known state of the art for the application of double-sided tapes and eliminates its disadvantages. Brief Description of the Invention:
The invention is an automatic dispenser for applying double-sided tape, which overcomes the known state of the art, eliminates its disadvantages, and includes additional advantages.
The object of the invention is to present an automatic dispenser that allows the application of double-sided tapes with high accuracy in a short time, not manually but with a machine adapted to automation.
Another object of the invention is to ensure that the negative impact on product quality from process effects during production is minimized.
Another object of the invention is to minimize the disadvantageous situation that will threaten the occupational health and safety of the personnel required during the change and movement of personnel to continuously remove parts from the bobbin during the process.
The dispenser subject to the invention is a machine that takes a strip from the bobbin with the rollers on it, separates the PVC layer on the outer surface of the strip and directs it to the waste section, and applies the remaining double-sided tape from the strip onto the product. The tape that allows two objects to stick together can be applied more rigidly, accurately and quickly from any distance, without touching it, and the double-sided tape part can be easily separated from the PVC layer with the invention.
The dispenser subject to the invention can be applied to moving products on the production line via a fixed robot or cartesian system, or it can be applied to fixed products on a mobile robot or chassis. Description of Drawings:

Description of the Invention:
In this detailed description, the dispenser (1 ), which is the subject of the invention is described with examples that will not form any limiting effect, only for a better understanding of the subject. The dispenser (1 ), which is subject to the invention has a body (10) that comprises equipment such as bobbin (A), pulleys, blades, motor group and PLC control unit, enabling the dispenser (1 ) to be integrated into carrier systems such as robots, chassis or cartesian. (Figure - 1 ) There is a bobbin chamber (11 ) in which the double-sided tape (C) bobbin (A) is placed over the body (10). The strip (B) is taken from the bobbin (A) in the bobbin chamber (A) by the pulleys in the dispenser (1 ), it is transported and directed, and the double-sided tape (C) and PVC layer (D) on the strip (B) are separated with the help of a blade. The separated double-sided tape (C) is applied to the product by the dispenser (1), and the PVC layer (D) is directed to the waste section.
In the dispenser (1 ), which is subject to the invention, the rotation speed and direction of the pulleys are controlled by a PLC control unit, and the necessary drive for rotation is provided by motors.
Figure 2 shows the strip (B) taken from the bobbin (A) to the input pulley (12) in the dispenser (1 ), which is subject to the invention. The input pulley (12) is the element that transfers the strip (B) that it takes from the bobbin (A) to the positioning pulley (13).
Figure 3 shows the view of the strip (B) on the positioning pulley (13). The positioning pulley (13) takes the strip (B) from the input pulley (12) and positions it to convey it to the directing pulley (14).
Figure 4 shows the view of the strip (B) on the directing pulley (14). The directing pulley (14) takes the strip (B) from the positioning pulley (13) and directs it to the separating pulley (15). The separating pulley (15) separates the PVC layer (D) and the double-sided tape (C) on the strip with the strip separation blade (21 ) touching its side surface. This situation can be seen in Figure 5. Here, the position of the strip separation blade (21 ) is important. The ribbon separation blade (21 ) is positioned on the lower part of the side surface of the separating pulley (15) in a way that it forms a narrow angle with the double-sided tape (C) separated from the strip (B), therefore it can separate the double-sided tape (C) and the strip (D) from each other.
In Figure 6, it is given the view where the double-sided tape (C) and the PVC layer (D) on the strip (B) are separated from each other. The separated doublesided tape (C) is applied to the product with the ironing pulley (16). The pressure applied by the ironing pulley (16) helps the double-sided tape (C) to be applied on the product with high quality and precision, and since the pressure force is constant, production continuity and consistency can be ensured. The PVC layer (D) separated from the strip (B) is transferred to the PVC directing pulley (18) with the PVC carrier pulley (17).
Figure 7 shows the view of the PVC carrier pulley (17) transferring the PVC layer (D) to the PVC directing pulley (18). The PVC directing pulley (18) takes the PVC layer (D) from the PVC carrier pulley (17) and transfers it to the PVC tensioning pulleys (19). The PVC tensioning pulley (19) transfers the PVC layer (D) to the PVC output pulleys (20) and at the same time stretches it to be cut and taken to the waste section. The purpose of stretching is to ensure that it can be cut with the PVC cutting blade (22). The PVC cutting blade (22) cuts the stretched PVC layer (D) between the PVC tensioning pulleys (19) and the PVC output pulleys (20) and ensures that it is thrown into the waste section in this way. These processes can be seen in Figure 8 and Figure 9.
In the application method of the dispenser (1 ), which is subject to the invention, the strip (B) taken from the bobbin (A) in the bobbin chamber (11) is positioned with the pulleys and directed to the separating pulley (15). Subsequently, the strip separation blade (21 ) located on the separating pulley (15) separates the double-sided tape (C) and PVC layer (D) parts of the strip (B). The double-sided tape (C) part is applied on the product with the ironing pulley (16), and the PVC layer (D) is taken to the exit part with the pulleys. Before the PVC layer (D) is taken to the exit part, the PVC cutting blade (22) is cut.
