Abstract
Provided is a bearing replacement assisting tool for restricting a relative movement of a worm shaft in an axial direction in a bearing replacement operation for an elevator hoist. The hoist comprises a motor unit, a worm shaft one end of which is coupled to a rotating shaft of the motor unit, a gearbox through into which the worm shaft is inserted, a thrust bearing attached to the gearbox and supporting the worm shaft, and a brake wheel fixed to the worm shaft between the gearbox and the motor unit. The bearing replacement assisting tool includes a first restricting member that is held between the brake wheel and the gearbox above the worm shaft and restricts a relative movement of the worm shaft with respect to the gearbox when the operation for pulling the thrust bearing out of the gearbox is being performed. The bearing replacement assisting tool also includes a second restricting member that is held between the brake wheel and the motor unit above the worm shaft and restricts a relative movement of the worm shaft with respect to the motor unit when the operation for attaching the thrust bearing to the gearbox is being performed.
