Description

Elevator car handrail device
The present invention relates to an elevator car handrail device.
Workers who perform maintenance and inspections on elevators often work from on top of the elevator car. For this reason, elevator cars are equipped with handrails on top of the car to ensure the safety of workers.
As an example of this type of prior art, Patent Document 1 describes an elevator car handrail device that includes a left handrail located on the left side as viewed from the elevator landing side, a right handrail located on the right side as viewed from the elevator landing side, and a rear handrail connecting the left handrail and right handrail.
In the car handrail device described in Patent Document 1, the rear handrail is composed of a left rear handrail member and a right rear handrail member, and the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member are connected by a connecting plate having a groove. In addition, a pair of clamping plates that regulate the front-to-rear movement of the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member are attached to the left rear handrail member, and a pair of regulating plates that regulate the up-down movement of the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member are attached to the right rear handrail member. In addition, a connecting plate is rotatably attached to the left rear handrail member, and a wing bolt is attached to the right rear handrail member. In the car handrail device described in Patent Document 1, the connecting plate is rotated in a vertical plane, a wing bolt is inserted into the groove, and the wing bolt is tightened in this state, thereby regulating the movement of the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member.
However, in the car handrail device described in Patent Document 1, in order to connect the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member, it is necessary to attach a pair of clamping plates, a pair of regulating plates, and a rotatable connecting plate to the rear handrail. This makes the structure for connecting the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member complicated. Also, in the car handrail device described in Patent Document 1, if a downward force is applied to the right rear handrail member, for example by an operator leaning against the rear handrail, there is a risk that the wing bolt will come out of the groove and the connection between the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member will be released.
The object of the present invention is to provide an elevator car handrail device that has a simple structure for connecting the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member, and that can reliably maintain the connection between the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member even when a downward force is applied to the connection between the left rear handrail member and the right rear handrail member.

Fig. 3 is a perspective view showing the elevator car handrail device of this embodiment in a folded state. Note that Fig. 2 shows the car handrail device as viewed from the rear side of the car, and Fig. 3 shows the car handrail device as viewed from the front side of the car.
As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the car handrail device 50 comprises a left handrail 51 located on the left side as viewed from the landing 24 side of the elevator 10 shown in Figure 1, a right handrail 52 located on the right side as viewed from the landing 24 side, and a rear handrail 53 connecting the left handrail 51 and the right handrail 52. The rear handrail 53 is located on the rear side as viewed from the landing 24 side (the rear side of the car 30). The car handrail device 50 is preferably made of metal members to ensure the strength necessary to ensure the safety of the worker 6.
The left handrail 51 has a two-tiered structure, an upper one and an lower one. Specifically, the left handrail 51 comprises an upper left handrail member 511, a lower left handrail member 512, and a pair of support members 513. The upper left handrail member 511 is attached to the end of the support member 513 (the upper end when unfolded). The lower left handrail member 512 is attached to the support member 513 with an appropriate gap between it and the upper left handrail member 511. The upper left handrail member 511 and the lower left handrail member 512 are each made of hollow square timber. Furthermore, the upper left handrail member 511 and the lower left handrail member 512 are arranged parallel to each other.
The pair of support members 513 are members that support the upper left handrail member 511 and the lower left handrail member 512 when they are connected. The pair of support members 513 are attached to corresponding collapsible support parts 514, 515. Furthermore, each of the pair of support members 513 is made of a hollow round material.
The support parts 514, 515 have corresponding hinge parts 514a, 515a, respectively, and the hinge parts 514a, 515a can be used to switch between a state in which the pair of support members 513 is upright as shown in FIG. 2 and a state in which the pair of support members 513 is laid down as shown in FIG. 3. The engagement groove 545 has a first groove portion 545a and a second groove portion 545b. The first groove portion 545a and the second groove portion 545b are formed in an inverted L shape in a state where they are continuous (connected) with each other. The first groove portion 545a is formed along the short side direction of the connecting bracket 541 (the up-down direction in FIG. 9). The second groove portion 545b is formed along the longitudinal direction of the connecting bracket 541. In other words, the first groove portion 545a and the second groove portion 545b are formed in a direction that forms a right angle with each other.
The first groove 545a is a groove that can engage and disengage the threaded portion 546a of the wing screw 546. A chamfered portion 545c is formed at the entrance of the first groove 545a to make it easier to insert and remove the threaded portion 546a of the wing screw 546. The second groove 545b is formed in a bent state from the rear end of the first groove 545a. The rear end of the first groove 545a refers to the end opposite the entrance of the first groove 545a described above. The second groove 545b is a groove that receives the threaded portion 546a of the wing screw 546 to maintain the connection state of the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 when a downward force is applied to the connection portion 533 when the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 are connected by the connection portion 533 as shown in FIG. 2.
Next, a method of using the elevator car handrail device according to this embodiment will be described. Here, it is assumed that the work is performed by a worker 6 using the car handrail device 50. There is no restriction on the number of workers 6.
When unfolding the car handrail device 50 folded as shown in FIG. 3, the worker 6 first raises the left handrail 51 and the right handrail 52. At that time, the locking member 514b of the support part 514 slides under its own weight, thereby keeping the left handrail 51 and the right handrail 52 in the raised state. The locking member 514b may be slid manually by the worker 6.
Next, the worker 6 rotates the left rear handrail member 531 around the pivot fulcrum 535, and rotates the right rear handrail member 532 around the pivot fulcrum 536. As a result, the left rear handrail member 531 is positioned at a right angle to the upper left handrail member 511. The right rear handrail member 532 is positioned at a right angle to the upper right handrail member 521.
Next, the worker 6 connects the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532. The procedure for this will be explained using Figures 10 and 11. Note that Figure 10 shows the car handrail device 50 as seen from the rear side of the car 30. Also, for ease of explanation, Figure 11 shows only the threaded portion 546a of the thumbscrew 546.
First, as shown in FIG. 10, worker 6 uses hinge parts 514a, 515a of supports 514, 515 (only support part 514 is shown in FIG. 10) as the axis of rotation to slightly spread left handrail 51 and right handrail 52 outward. At this time, worker 6 positions connecting bracket 541 attached to the tip of left rear handrail member 531 slightly above the tip of right rear handrail member 532.
Then, as shown in Figures 11A and 11B, the worker 6 places the connecting bracket 541 over the tip of the right rear handrail member 532. At this time, the worker 6 crosses the tip of the right rear handrail member 532 and the connecting bracket 541 while aligning the threaded portion 546a of the thumbscrew 546 with the engagement groove 545 of the connecting bracket 541. As a result, as shown in Figure 11C, the threaded portion 546a of the thumbscrew 546 is inserted into the first groove portion 545a of the engagement groove 545. Then, when the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 are positioned horizontally, as shown in Figure 11D, the threaded portion 546a of the thumbscrew 546 is inserted all the way to the far end of the first groove portion 545a. Next, the worker 6 tightens the two thumbscrews 546 to fix the connecting bracket 541 to the right rear handrail member 532. As a result, the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 are connected by the connecting part 533. Also, the car handrail device 50 is in the unfolded state as shown in FIG. 2.
Then, worker 6 performs maintenance and inspection of elevator 10, and when maintenance and inspection is completed, folds car handrail device 50 by reversing the above procedure before normal operation of elevator 10. When folding car handrail device 50, worker 6 loosens two thumbscrews 546 and then lifts up connecting part 533. This causes threaded part 546a of thumbscrew 546 to disengage from first groove part 545a of engagement groove 545. This allows left rear handrail member 531 and right rear handrail member 532 to be easily separated.
Now, consider the case where a worker 6 performing maintenance and inspection work on the car 30 leans against the rear handrail 53, for example, and a load is applied from above to the connecting part 533. In this case, a downward force F is applied to the connecting part 533 of the rear handrail 53, as shown in FIG. 12. Therefore, the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 bend so as to open outward (left and right) from each other. At this time, within the engagement groove 545 of the connecting bracket 541, as shown in FIG. 12, the threaded part 546a of the wing screw 546 moves from the first groove part 545a to the second groove part 545b. In other words, the second groove part 545b receives the threaded part 546a. As a result, the threaded part 546a is hooked into the second groove part 545b. Therefore, the connection state between the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 is maintained. Therefore, even if a downward force F is applied to the connecting portion 533 of the rear handrail 53, there is no risk of the connection between the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 being released.
In the elevator car handrail device 50 according to this embodiment, the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 can be connected by engaging the threaded portion 546a of the wing screw 546 attached to the right rear handrail member 532 with the engagement groove 545 of the connection bracket 541 attached to the left rear handrail member 531. This simplifies the structure for connecting the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532. In addition, when a downward force is applied to the connection portion 533 of the rear handrail 53, the threaded portion 546a of the wing screw 546 moves from the first groove portion 545a to the second groove portion 545b within the engagement groove 545, thereby maintaining the engagement state of the threaded portion 546a and the engagement groove 545. This ensures that the connection state of the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 can be reliably maintained. Therefore, a car handrail device 50 with high safety can be provided at a low cost.
In addition, in this embodiment, the connecting bracket 541 is fixed to the left rear handrail member 531, and an engagement groove 545 is formed in this connecting bracket 541. This allows the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 to be constructed from common parts. Incidentally, the engagement groove 545 can also be formed in the left rear handrail member 531. In that case, however, it is necessary to widen the tip of the left rear handrail member 531 by the plate thickness of the right rear handrail member 532 so that when the left rear handrail member 531 is placed over the right rear handrail member 532, the heights of both members are the same. For this reason, the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 are constructed from separate parts.
In addition, in this embodiment, a wing screw 546 having a threaded portion 546a and an engagement groove 545 into which the wing screw 546 engages are provided at multiple positions (two in this embodiment) on the rear handrail 53, offset from one another in the longitudinal direction. This allows the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 to be connected in a more stable state.
In addition, in this embodiment, the engagement pin is formed by the threaded portion 546a of the wing screw 546. As a result, if the engagement pin were formed by a round pin or the like, a separate member would be required to secure the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 to each other; however, with this embodiment, the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 can be secured to each other by the simple task of simply tightening the wing screw 546. Furthermore, even if the wing screw 546 is not sufficiently tightened, the engagement between the threaded portion 546a and the engagement groove 545 allows the left rear handrail member 531 and the right rear handrail member 532 to remain connected.
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, but includes various modified examples.
