[Frame bar 20]
The frame bar 20 is a long metal rod member having a predetermined strength and extending in the width direction of the roof 4 or the main surface of the back door 2 of the vehicle. The frame bar 20 has a cross-sectional shape including a center rectangle and a recess 23 facing each other with the center rectangle in between (see FIG. 2). The recesses 23 provided on opposing surfaces of the frame bar 20 are provided with a slit 24 in the center along the longitudinal direction. The recess 23 is a place for accommodating the head of a mounting bolt 27b to be attached to the upper surface of the stay 30, which will be described later. The slit 24 is a place from which the shaft of a mounting bolt 27b to be attached to the upper surface of the stay 30, which will be described later, protrudes. The width of 24 is set to be longer than the diameter of the shaft and shorter than the opposite side of the head. Further, a flexible molding 29 is fitted into the slit 24 into which the mounting bolt 27b is not inserted.
[Stay 30]
Two stays 30 are arranged between both ends of the frame bar 20 and the main surface, and each has a hook 32 that is hooked on the edge of both ends of the main surface, and a belt 34 that biases the hook 32 in a direction to maintain the hooked state. We are prepared. The belt 34 is disposed inside the casing 31 so as to be bent and supported at an acute angle by two rollers 33a and 33b, and has joints 35a and 35b at both ends. The belt 34 may be made of, for example, a stainless steel plate covered with a soft resin. One joint 35a is connected to a hook 32, and a portion of the belt 34 and the hook 32 protrude outside from a first opening 36a in the side surface of the casing 31 along the side surface of the vehicle 1. The other joint 35b is provided with a through hole 35c in a direction perpendicular to the axis. The through hole 35c is threaded. A long bolt 48 that is screwed into the through hole 35c is provided inside the casing 31. A lever 50 is provided on the head of the long bolt 48. The lever 50 projects outward from a second opening 36b provided on the same surface as the first opening 36a of the casing 31. By rotating the lever 50 in the forward and reverse directions, the amount of protrusion of the hook 32 provided at the other end of the belt 34 inside the casing 31 from the first opening 36a can be increased or decreased. For example, the hook 32 can be maintained in a hooked state by tightening the long bolt 48. On the other hand, by loosening the long bolt 48, the hook 32 can be removed from the edge.
The stay 30 has a mounting hole 27a on its upper surface to which the frame bar 20 is mounted. The frame bar 20 can be fixed at any position using the mounting bolts 27b that are screwed into the mounting holes 27a. The frame bar 20 also has a cap 27c that covers the end.
The stay 30 is provided with a cushion base 52 on the lower surface. The contact surface of the cushion base 52 that contacts the vehicle 1 is formed in a shape that follows the shape of the mounting surface of the roof 4 or the back door 2 of the vehicle 1. For example, if the mounting surface of the back door 2 has a recess or groove formed on the main surface, it can be formed into a convex shape that fits into the recess or groove, so that it can withstand vibrations and shocks during driving. Misalignment, falling, etc. can be prevented. As an example of the material of the cushion base 52, rubber or elastomer can be used. By applying such a cushion base 52, it is possible to widen the range of vehicles to which it can be installed.

[Arm 40]
Of the two upper and lower frame bars 20 attached to the back door, the lower frame bar 20 is provided with an arm 40 extending perpendicularly to the axis of the frame bar 20 and supporting the lower surface of the luggage 3. FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram of the attachment of the arm. The arm 40 shown in FIG. 4 is U-shaped and has a rotating part 42 at the end. The rotating part 42 has a base 42a, a mounting bolt 42b, and a nut 42c. The base 42a has a mounting hole 42d facing the slit 24 of the frame bar 20. In addition, the base 42a includes a shaft 42f that rotates and switches the arm 40 between the horizontal position (the position where the baggage 3 is placed) and the vertical position (the position where the baggage 3 is not placed), and a fitting lock that can be fixed in the horizontal and vertical positions. It is provided with a portion 42g.
The arm 40 having such a configuration accommodates the mounting bolt 42b in the slit 24 of the frame bar 20, aligns the mounting hole 42d, and screws the nut 42c. Thereafter, the frame bar 20 can be moved to any position and fixed by fully tightening the nut 42c. When attaching the luggage 3 to the back door 2, the arm 40 can be rotated horizontally, brought down, and fixed with the lock part 42g, so that the luggage 3 can be loaded. After lowering the luggage 3, the arm 40 is rotated vertically and raised. Thereby, there is no need to remove the arm 40 from the frame bar 20 when it is not in use and no cargo 3 is loaded.
(installation method)
FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram of mounting the carrier. When attaching the carrier 10 to the back door 2 of the vehicle 1, the frame bar 20 and the stay 30 are assembled in advance to form an integrated carrier 10.
As shown in FIG. 3(1), the back door 2 of the vehicle 1 is opened until the main surface becomes horizontal. Then, the carrier 10 is placed on the attachment point of the back door 2. Next, the mounting surface of the back door 2 and the cushion base 52 are aligned.
As shown in FIG. 3(2), the hooks 32 of the stay 30 are hooked onto the edges of both ends (in the horizontal direction) of the back door 2.
As shown in FIG. 3(3), the hook 32 can be maintained in a hooked state by tightening the lever 50 of the long bolt 48. Since the lever 50 is attached to the outside of the carrier 10, in other words, along the side of the vehicle 1, the lever 50 can be easily reached and operated by the operator. This allows the carrier 10 to be attached to the back door 2.
Repeat the same operation to install the frame bars 20 at the top and bottom of the back door 2. Note that it is preferable to attach the arm 40 to the lower frame bar 20 in advance.
When attaching luggage 3 such as a stepladder to the back door 2, the stepladder below the stepladder is placed on the arm 40, and the load tightening belt 54 is wound and fixed so as to straddle the lower frame bar 20 and the stepladder. In addition, a load tightening belt 54 is wound and fixed so as to extend over the stepladder and the upper frame bar 20 (see FIG. 1).
If the license plate and tail lamp are hidden by the luggage 3 due to the shape of the luggage 3, such as a box shape, shift the mounting position of the arm 40 of the lower frame bar 20 in the horizontal direction so that the license plate etc. will not be hidden. so that it can be moved easily.
