Description

A COVER FOR USE IN STERILIZATION BOXES
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to at least one cover in order to be used in closing a sterilization box and which has at least one body, at least one opening on said body which can allow air passage between the sterilization box and the outer medium, and at least one filter holder for providing positioning of at least one filter on said opening.
PRIOR ART
In health institutes and organizations, there are sterilization boxes which are designed and produced for serving different purposes. These sterilization boxes can be in various different models and dimensions as needed. Items which must be provided in sterile form particularly in surgical operations are sterilized and placed into sterilization boxes and can be carried from one place to another place. When comparison in terms of resistance is made, filter is weaker against physical factors when compared with box and cover bodies.
In the present art, it is seen that there are two different ways of elimination of hygiene problems related to covers of sterilization boxes. The first way is the usage of safety sheets which are already being produced. The usage of safety sheets (safety covers) leads to high cost in terms of the number of components and production process complexity.
The second method is the production of cover which has removable safety sheet. In this method, the safety sheet is screwed and fixed to a free pin by means of bolt. However, in this method, there is a technical problem like loosening of the bolt by time. In this probable scenario, there is the risk of deterioration of sterile storage condition. Loosening of the screw is a problem faced in every mechanical assembly process and leads to malfunctioning of the sterilization box. As an example, when it is considered that there are surgical tools which may be broken, scratched, etc. in the sterilized sterilization box; as the screw is loosened, the filter, the filter holder, the filter holder pin shall fall on the tool/device which exists in the sterilization box system and shall lead to breakage of said tool/device or deterioration of the sterile conditions. Moreover, in cases where the safety sheet is changed, removed and assembled, the sterile condition of the sterilization box may also be deteriorated. The application no US2019069970 known in the literature relates to a cover structure used in sterile boxes and which allows gas input-output. There is a filter on the cover. At least one connection element is a connection element like a screw. And there is a fixation part where this connection element is fixed so as to be locked to the cover components by applying force. However, in this invention, when said structure is examined, the risk of deterioration of sterilization due to the cover cannot be eliminated.
As a result, because of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a cover, for eliminating the abovementioned disadvantages and for bringing new advantages to the related technical field.
An object of the present invention is to provide a cover which can cover at least one part of the sterilization boxes.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cover where hygiene faults are eliminated.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cover whereon the filter and the filter holder are connected in a rigid manner.
In order to realize the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention is at least one cover in order to be used in closing a sterilization box and which has at least one body, at least one opening on said body which can allow air passage between the sterilization box and the outer medium, and at least one filter holder for providing positioning of at least one filter on said opening. Accordingly, the improvement of the present invention is that at least one connection element is provided which can be fixed with the filter holder in order to be able to fix said filter holder at said opening; at least one side part, which can be at least partially plastically deformed, is provided for enabling fixation of said connection element onto the body. Thus, as the filter connection element is fixed to the body through the side part, the filter holder and the filter are assembled to the body in a fixed manner. In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the connection element comprises at least one connection groove in order to enable connection of at least one safety sheet onto the body. Thus, the safety sheet is fixed onto the body in a removable manner.
In another possible embodiment of the present invention, in order to provide fixation of at least one safety sheet onto the body, at least one tightening element is provided which can be connected to said connection groove. Thus, the safety sheet is fixed onto the body in a removable manner.
In another possible embodiment of the present invention, at least one holding hole is provided in the vicinity of the opening in order to provide fixation of the connection element onto the body. Thus, the side part, which exists on the connection element, is bent on the holding hole, and is joined at the body in an inseparable manner.
In another possible embodiment of the present invention, at least one assembly part is provided on the filter holder in order to provide fixation of the connection element with the filter holder. Thus, the filter holder and the connection element are fixed to each other in a rigid manner.
In another possible embodiment of the present invention, at least one channel is provided at the connection element where the side part can be held to at least one holding hole, provided on the body, by means of the plastic deformation of the side part. Thus, the connection element is fixed onto the body.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, the subject matter is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect only in order to make the subject more understandable.
With reference to Figure 1 and 2, the present invention relates to a cover (1) for use in sterilization boxes (not shown in the figures). Accordingly, said cover (1) is preferably configured to cover at least one part of the sterilization box. Said sterilization box can be an element which has an inner volume designed for purposes like sterilization of medical tools and equipment, preservation of the sterile form of the sterilized tools, carriage of these sterile tools, storage and transportation between units. The main usage purpose of the sterilization box is to preserve the sterile medium. In order to realize this, the sterilization box has an inner volume.
The inner volume of the sterilization box is configured to be opened and closed by means of the cover (1). There is at least one body (10) on the cover (1). Said body (10) can be formed in a manner covering the area which exists on the sterilization box. There is at least one opening (12) on the body (10). Said opening (12) is the pocket part provided in a manner allowing air passage between the sterilization box and the outer medium as needed.
At least one filter (30) can be positioned in the vicinity of the opening (12) on the cover (1). Said filter (30) provides protection of the sterile form of the inner part in air passages between the inner part of the sterilization box and the outer medium. In order to be able to realize this, the filter (30) is made of a material which can hold microorganisms. Additionally, the filter (30) is changeable with a new one when needed. There is at least one filter holder (40) for holding the filter (30) on the cover (1). Said filter holder (40) essentially has a shape which is compliant to the form of the filter (30) and provides holding of the filter (30) on the opening (12). In order to be able to realize this holding process, there is a frame (121) structure on the opening (12). Said frame (121) structure is a grid structure which has predetermined shape and provided on the opening (12). The filter (30) is rested to this frame (121) structure from one side and is compressed towards the frame (121) by means of the filter holder (40) from the other side. By means of this, the filter (30) is fixed onto the opening (12).
In Figure 3, a representative cross-sectional view of the subject matter cover (1) is given. Accordingly, at least one safety sheet (20) can be positioned on the side of the cover (1) which faces outwardly. Said safety sheet (20) enables completely covering of the opening (12), provided on the cover (1), in a sealed manner. In order to be able to realize this, the safety sheet (20) can be formed in a structure placed on the opening (12) and which has uninterrupted covering characteristic. In order to prevent rotation of the safety sheet (20) around itself after fixation of the safety sheet (20) on the body (10), there is at least one protrusion form (22) on the safety sheet (20) and there is at least one housing (11) on the body (10). Said protrusion form (22) is placed to said housing (11) in case the safety sheet (20) is placed to the body (10), and said protrusion form (22) prevents rotation of the safety sheet (20) around itself. By means of this, a probable air leakage is prevented. While sealing is provided as the safety sheet (20) covers the opening (12), at the same time, the safety sheet (20) is effective in protection of the filter (30) against external effects.
The safety sheet (20) is positioned selectively on the cover (1). In other words, the safety sheet (20) can be fixed onto the cover (1) and can be removed from the cover (1) as needed. For providing this, the safety sheet (20) is connected onto the cover (1) in a removable manner. For this connection, at least one tightening element (23) is used. Said tightening element (23) is passed through at least one sheet hole (21) provided on the safety sheet (20) and is configured such that the safety sheet (20) can be fixed onto the body (10). By means of this, the safety sheet (20) is fixed onto the body (10) in a sealed manner.
In Figure 4 and 5, one each representative partial cross-sectional views of the subject matter cover (1) are given. As shall be understood from these partial cross-sectional views, in a possible embodiment of the present invention, the tightening element (23) can be a screw. The tightening element (23), which is in screw form, can be tightened or loosened by means of threads in at least one connection groove (51) provided on at least one connection element (50). By means of this, the safety sheet (20) is turned into modular form.
The connection element (50) positioned on the subject matter cover (1) provides fixation of the filter (30), the filter holder (40) and the safety sheet (20) on the body (10). Said connection element (50) can be fixed to the filter holder (40) from one side and to a holding surface (122), provided on the frame (121), from the other side. There is at least one assembly part (41) which can enable connection with the connection element (50). Said assembly part (41) telescopically engages with the connection element (50) and connects the filter holder (40) and the connection element (50) to each other. In order to be able to realize this, there is at least one head part (54) at the side of the connection element (50) which faces the filter holder (40). Said head part (54) enables connection of the connection element (50) to the filter holder (40). In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the head part (54) is formed so as to have a wider diameter than the connection element (50). Said head part (54) is fixed by tightening at the assembly part (41) provided on the filter holder (40). In the connection of the connection element (50) to the body (10), said holding surface (122) is used in an efficient manner. The holding surface (122) is positioned on the frame (121). There is at least one holding hole (123) which can be associated with the connection element (50) on the holding surface (122). Said holding hole (123) is aligned with the connection element (50) and has a resistance such that the connection element (50) can be held. As the connection element (50) is fixed on this holding surface (122), the filter holder (40) and the filter (30) can be fixed onto the opening (12). The structure of the connection element (50), which joins the filter holder (40) to the body (10), is described in this manner.
Holding of the connection element (50) on the body (10) is provided by means of plastic deformation after placement to the holding hole (123). In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the plastic deformation of the connection element (50) can be provided by means of riveting method. In Figure 6, a representative perspective view of the connection element (50), provided at the subject matter cover (1), before the assembly is given. Accordingly, there is at least one side part (52) at the connection element (50). Said side part (52) is provided around the connection groove (51) at the connection element (50). The side part (52) essentially has an outer diameter so as to be narrower than the diameter of the connection element (50). The side part (52) is moreover the plastic deforming part in the connection element (50). In Figure 7, a representative perspective view of the connection element (50), provided at the subject matter cover (1), after the assembly is given. Accordingly, after placement of the connection element (50) to the holding surface (122), the side part (52) is at least partially bent outwardly and a channel (53) structure is formed. Said channel (53) is completely placed to the holding hole (123), and the connection element (50) is fixed onto the body (10).
By means of all these embodiments, the filter holder (40) can be held on the cover (1) continuously by means of the connection element (50). Thanks to this, the filter is prevented from being removed from the opening (12) as a result of any vibration and loosening. Additionally, the safety sheet (20) can be changed by means of the tightening element (23) without deteriorating the sterile storage condition. By means of the subject matter cover (1) structure, the end user can use only one hand and can remove the safety sheet (20). Even in case the sterilization box is sealed (in sterilized form) or non-sealed (with deteriorated sterilization) form, the safety sheet (20) can be removed and fixed without deteriorating sterilization. By means of this characteristic, the cover (1) provides superiority when compared with its equivalents. In sterilization boxes where the safety sheet (20) is used, in cases where the safety sheet (20) is not needed to be used, low cost product can be obtained and the competition power increases.
The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.
