Abstract

Ein Separator, insbesondere selbstentleerender Separator, zur zentrifugalen Trennung eines fließfähigen Produkts (P) in wenigstens eine Flüssigkeitsphase (L) und wenigstens eine Feststoffphase (S), der eine drehbare Schleudertrommel (1) mit vertikaler Drehachse (D) aufweist, die einen Trennraum (6) aufweist, in dem vorzugsweise ein Tellerpaket (7) vorgesehen ist, und die Feststoffaustragsöffnungen (11) aufweist und einen Entleerungsmechanismus mit einem einzigen Kolbenschieber (10), der dazu ausgelegt ist, die Feststoffentleerungsöffnungen (11) diskontinuierlich zu öffnen und zu schließen, wobei eine Steuerungsanordnung (12) für den Entleerungsmechanismus vorgesehen ist, zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Schleudertrommel (1) auf ihrem Umfang einen ersten Satz Feststoffaustragsöffnungen (11a) und einen zweiten Satz Feststoffaustragsöffnungen (11b) aufweist, wobei der erste Satz Feststoffaustragsöffnungen (11a) und der zweite Satz Feststoffaustragsöffnungen (11b) in zwei unterschiedlichen axialen Höhen am Umfang der Schleudertrommel (1) angeordnet ist und somit vertikal voneinander beabstandet ist, wobei die bei-den Sätze von Feststoffaustragsöffnungen mit dem einzigen Kolbenschieber (10) öffenbar und schließbar sind.
