Description

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING DIGITAL ADVERTISEMENTS
TO AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION
EARLIEST PRIORITY DATE
This Application claims priority from a Complete patent application filed in India having Patent Application No. 202141061538, filed on December 29, 2021, and titled “SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING DIGITAL ADVERTISEMENTS TO AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION”.
BACKGROUND
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an electric vehicle charging station and more particularly to a system and a method for providing digital advertisements to an electric vehicle charging station.
Consumer demand for electric vehicles such as electric battery powered vehicles or hybrid vehicles is increasing day by day. The electric vehicles need to be charged, and charging stations are costly to install and maintain. To incentivize the use of electric vehicles, charging services in public locations may be provided free-of-charge. Instead of charging drivers of electric vehicles to use the charging stations, revenue may be generated via advertisements displayed on the charging stations. There exists a need for a streamlined process for selecting and providing advertisements to charging stations for electric vehicles. As a result, various systems have been developed to utilise the electric vehicle for one or more purposes.
Conventionally the system available for the advertisement includes describing advertising data published over a network using an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) system with integrated display which must be operated only through advertising operators. However, such a conventional system requires manual intervention or dependency for publishing the advertisement on the display interface. Also, such a conventional system earlier needs to be connected with power grids for charging of the electric vehicles and further displaying advertisements upon getting charged. Connecting to the power grid for charging the electric vehicle is a hectic process as it needs to be searched within proximity to the user. Also, it leads to wastage of time and further discourages several users to use the electric vehicle for daily use.
Hence, there is a need for an improved system and a method for providing digital advertisements to an electric vehicle charging station in order to address the aforementioned issues.

Also, the advertisement publishing module (130) provides a multimedia container for enabling the registered user to choose an individual image or a video of corresponding advertisement data for displaying and provide details on text information about the advertisement data. Again, the advertisement publishing module is also configured to display the advertisement data for a viewer based on a restriction request, history and a request for new advertisement received from a registered profile associated with the registered user. The registered user may restrict few of advertisements or request new advertisements either through mobile application or through the display interface during the charging. The advertisement publishing module further sends notification to the registered user about the new advertisement.
Further, an advertisement feedback generation module (140) enables the registered user to provide a feedback corresponding to the advertisement data displayed on the predefined area of the display interface. For example, here suppose the feedback includes a positive feedback representative of liking the advertisement data, which is displayed, then in such a scenario, the advertisement feedback generation module is again configured to increase frequency of displaying the advertisement data on the display interface.
In addition, the EVCS subsystem (105) also includes an advertisement diagnosis module (150) configured to diagnose one or more errors encountered in an event of publishing the advertisement data on the display interface. In the example used herein, the one or more errors may include at least one of one or more hardware communication errors, one or more temperature errors, one or more device errors, one or more charging errors or a combination thereof. The advertisement diagnosis module (150) monitors health of the EVCS. EVCS diagnosis helps to identify different levels of the one or more temperature errors, the one or more communication errors and the one or more hardware errors. The diagnosis helps the registered user get to know particular region of EVCS which is not working and can't be used for displaying advertisement data for a while.
Furthermore, an advertisement tracking module (160) of the EVCS subsystem (105 tracks a plurality of parameters associated with the advertisement data displayed on the display interface, wherein the plurality of parameters includes at least one of number of advertisements running for a particular user account, number of times a particular advertisement is visible throughout the day, number of likes obtained for a particular advertisement, time of next displaying advertisement, feedback received corresponding to a particular advertisement or a combination thereof. Thus, the system (100) by providing targeted digital advertisements to the electric vehicle charging station generates advertising revenue which further encourages usage of electric vehicles and thus provides an eco-friendly solution for the environment.
