That is, a plurality of second ribs 221 may be provided in a horizontal direction. Referring to FIG. 7 , each of the plurality of second ribs 221 disposed in the horizontal direction may surround the plurality of battery cells 100 accommodated in the battery module 10 .
- a hollow second passage 223 may be provided between the second rib 221 and an adjacent second rib 221 .
- the second passage 223 may be connected to an injection hole H provided on an upper surface of the second frame 220 . Accordingly, the potting glue 300 injected through the injection hole H provided on the upper surface of the second frame 220 may pass through the second passage 223 and move.
- the second passage 223 may be connected to an injection hole H provided on an upper surface of the first frame 210 .
- the potting glue 300 injected through the injection hole H provided on the upper surface of the second frame 220 passes through the second passage 223 and the injection provided on the upper surface of the first frame 210 Hall (H) can be reached.
- the potting glue 300 injected through the injection hole H provided on the upper surface of the first frame 210 passes through the first passage 213 to reach the first accommodation space S1. there is.
- the potting glue 300 may fill a hollow space other than the space occupied by the battery cell 100 in the first accommodating space S1. Accordingly, since the potting glue 300 covers the lower region of the battery cell 100 , it is possible to prevent chain ignition, thereby increasing the safety of the battery module 10 .
- FIG. 8 is a diagram for explaining a battery module 10 according to another embodiment of the present invention.
- module housing 200 is similar to the module housing 200 of the previous embodiment, redundant description of components substantially the same as or similar to those of the previous embodiment will be omitted, and hereinafter, Focus on the differences.
- the second ribs 221 provided on the second frame 220 may have a structure surrounding an upper portion of the battery cell 100 in a height direction (a direction parallel to the Z-axis). there is.
- the fixing force of the battery cell 100 in the upper region of the battery cell 100 can be improved.
- the fixing force of the battery cell 100 can be further improved according to the structure of the second rib 221 as described above. .
- a hollow second accommodating space S2 may be provided below the second rib 221 .
- the potting glue 300 may be filled in a hollow space other than the space occupied by the battery cell 100 among the second accommodating space S2 .
- the potting glue 300 can be additionally provided in the substantially central region of the battery cell 100 . Accordingly, even when breakage and/or ignition occurs on the side surface of the battery cell 100, particularly in the central region of the side surface, it is possible to block ignition in a chain. That is, the safety of the battery module 10 is further increased. Furthermore, the cooling efficiency of the side of the battery cell 100 is also increased.
- the second rib 221 may have a structure that surrounds an area other than the top of the battery cell 100 in the height direction (direction parallel to the Z-axis).
- the second rib 221 may be provided in a central region of the second frame 220 in the height direction.
- a hollow second accommodating space S2 may be provided in an upper region of the second rib 221 and a lower region of the second rib 221, respectively.
- the second rib 221 may be provided in a lower area of the second frame 220 in a height direction (direction parallel to the Z-axis).
- a hollow second accommodating space S2 may be provided in an upper region of the second rib 221 .
- the position of the second rib 221 in the height direction may be variable.
- the position of the first rib 211 in the height direction (parallel to the Z-axis) is relatively less variable than the position of the second rib 221 in the height direction (parallel to the Z-axis).
- the first rib 211 is not provided in the lower region of the first frame 210 . If the first rib 211 is provided in the lower region of the first frame 210, the first accommodating space (S1) is provided in the upper region of the first frame 210, then the potting glue 300 The lower area of the battery cell 100 cannot be directly covered. As a result, the safety of the battery cell 100 is weakened. Therefore, it is preferable that the first rib 211 is provided in an area other than the lower area of the first frame 210, for example, the central area or the upper area.
- a bond for fixing the battery cell 100 may be applied on the lower plate 230 of the present invention.
- movement of the battery cell 100 in the height direction can be limited. For example, there may be an upper and lower space within the battery module 10 or a gap may occur. Even in this case, since the battery cell 100 can be fixed to the lower end of the first frame 210, unnecessary movement of the battery cell 100 within the battery module 10 can be prevented. Furthermore, even if a portion of the first frame 210 or the second frame 220 is damaged and a defect area large enough for the battery cell 100 to escape is generated, the battery cell 100 ) can be prevented.
- FIG. 9 is a diagram for explaining a battery pack including the battery module of FIG. 1 .
- a battery pack 1 according to the present invention may include at least one battery module 10 described above.
