Definitions
- the present invention relates to a composite, a carbon dioxide scavenger, and a method for producing the composite.
- MOFs Metal-organic frameworks
- PCNs porous network complexes
- MOFs are highly flexible in design due to the combination of metals and organic ligands, and are capable of controlling the pore structure and adsorption characteristics, and have high design possibilities. Therefore, MOFs have the potential to be used as catalysts, gas storage, and separation materials (see Patent Document 1 and Non-Patent Document 1). Also, many MOFs exhibiting carbon dioxide adsorption capacity have been reported so far (see, for example, Non-Patent Documents 2, 3, 4 and 5).
- MOF is a solid that is usually obtained as powder or microcrystals. Considering industrial use as adsorbents and solid catalysts, powders are generally difficult to handle. In the case of using a powder as a catalyst, it is possible to easily separate the product from the catalyst after the reaction by preparing a solid catalyst supported on a solid substance.
