Description
Large-capacity collapsible container
The invention relates to shipping containers, namely, to large-capacity collapsible containers with end, side or top loading, designed for storage and transportation of goods by rail, road and sea.
The current problem associated with the complexity of transporting containers has not yet received a full-fledged solution, assembly and disassembly of containers for their transportation, as a rule, is not used, since it is a complex, long and economically unjustified process, therefore containers are transported assembled from place to place, spending a lot of money and effort on their delivery, since one truck can deliver only one large assembled container, while four or more disassembled containers fit in the same truck.
Widely known containers are made according to the standard manufacturing scheme, consisting of a base, a roof, a spatial frame, side walls, a rear end wall and a front end wall, while the side and end walls are made of a plurality of profiled sheets welded together, and the walls and roof are connected by welding and/or bolting (see e.g. https://clockworklime.com/2013/08/03/shipping-containers-a-side-project).
The disadvantages of the design of these types of containers are obvious, this is the duration of their assembly and disassembly, and therefore the inappropriateness of their transportation in disassembled form: first you need to create a spatial frame consisting of racks, beams, then the roof and floor are made by means of welding and/or bolting, then proceed to sheathing the frame with a plurality of profiled sheets welded together and then install the gate.
The basis of the claimed invention is the task of eliminating these disadvantages.
The technical result of the claimed invention is the acceleration and simplification of assembly and disassembly of the container for the possibility of its transportation in disassembled form.
This technical result is achieved by the fact that a large-capacity collapsible container contains four vertical posts at the corners of the container, to which the walls of the container are installed, a horizontal beam installed between the vertical posts in the upper part of the front side of the container, while two side walls and a rear wall are made of of solid corrugated beams, consisting of the upper chord, the lower chord and the corrugated wall located between the said chords, the floor is installed between the side walls in the lower part, and the roof in the upper part, while the walls and roof of the container are installed by means of tongue-and-groove interlocks fixed to the corresponding interacting container parts.
A tongue-and-groove interlock connection consists of a first protrusion extending along the entire surface of the first element and a reciprocal groove extending along the entire surface of the second element, which, when connected to each other, form an interlock connection.
The protrusions and grooves of the tongue-and-groove interlock are rigidly fixed to the corresponding elements of the container.
The upper and lower chords of the corrugated beam are made of straight steel strip. As an option, the upper and lower chords of the corrugated beam are made of 11-shaped steel profile.
Alternatively, the top and bottom chords of the corrugated beam are made from a square/rectangular steel profile.
As an option, the upper and lower chords of the corrugated beam are made of a multifaceted steel profile, or a welded profile of various shapes and sections.
The container preferably includes a gate installed in its front part.
Between the side walls in the lower part there is a floor made of transverse beams and a finishing coating.
As an option, a floor of cross beams is installed in the frame.

The proposed large-capacity collapsible container contains four vertical posts 1 at the corners of the container. The uprights 1 are generally made of square/rectangular steel tubes, however, they can also have other constructions, such as tubes, corners, etc. A horizontal beam 2 is installed between the uprights 1 in the upper part of the front side of the container. Horizontal beam 2 with vertical uprights 1 forms an opening for installing the gate (not shown in the drawing).
Two side 5 and rear 6 walls, installed between the vertical uprights 1, are made of solid corrugated beams, consisting of the top belt 7, the bottom belt 8 and the corrugated wall 9 located between the indicated belts 7, 8. The corrugated wall 9 is usually welded to the top 7 and the lower 8th belt of the beam.
Beams with a corrugated wall (corrugated beams) include beams in which corrugations of various shapes are created in the wall to increase their local stability. Thanks to the profiled wall, the structure effectively absorbs bending loads. Under the conditions of a static load, the beam operates according to a scheme in which the bending moments and normal forces are perceived by the chords, and the transverse forces are perceived by the corrugated wall. The manufacturing process of corrugated beams is maximally automated in production shops for any size. The configuration of the corrugated wall 9 is made by rolling the coiled steel sheet in the transverse direction to the desired size along the height of the container, forming a map along the length and height of the container. Corrugated wall 9, as a rule, has a sinusoidal shape.
Between the side walls 5 in the lower part there is a floor 3 made of transverse beams and a finish coat (not shown in the drawing), for example, in the form of moisture-resistant plywood. A roof 4 is installed in the upper part. The floor 3 of the transverse beams and the roof 4 can be installed in a frame (not shown in the drawing) to speed up their installation during assembly and disassembly of the container.
The design of the walls 5, 6 of the container, made of a single corrugated wall 9 with the top 7 and bottom 8 chords (compared to the known, assembled separate profiled sheets in a spatial frame) has advantages in operation during operation, providing a more uniform load distribution, due to the rigid connections of walls 9 and chords 7, 8, integrity of walls 9 (there are no points with weakened strength in a solid wall) and location of walls 9 in the middle of the plane of chords 7, 8 (the most uniform load distribution). In addition, due to the integrity of the structure (single wall-screen) of walls 5,6, they are easily and quickly installed to the racks of 1 container, ensuring the speed of assembly of the structure. Walls 5,6 combine the functions of the bearing and enclosing capacity of the container. In addition, it is possible that the uprights 1 are rigidly tied to the walls 5,6 of the container to speed up the assembly and disassembly of the container.
At the same time, the execution of the upper and lower chords from a U-shaped steel profile or from a square/rectangular steel profile additionally provides an increase in the rigidity of the structure. How option, the upper and lower chords can be made of a multifaceted steel profile, or a welded profile of various shapes and sections.
The walls 5,6 and the roof 4 of the container are installed by means of tongue-and-groove locking joints installed on the corresponding interacting parts of the container. The tongue-and-groove lock connection consists of the first protrusion 11, passing along the entire surface of the first element and the reciprocal groove 10, passing along the entire surface of the second element, which, when connected to each other, form a lock connection. The protrusion and groove 10,11 of the tongue-and-groove locking connection are rigidly fixed to the corresponding elements of the container. The shape of the tongue-and-groove lock (figure 3,4) may be different, without limiting the scope of rights presented by the drawings.
Thus, the execution of the walls 5, 6 of the container from these solid corrugated beams significantly reduces the number of elements during assembly and disassembly of the container, which significantly reduces the labor intensity of the work in the manufacture of the container, reduces the assembly and disassembly of the container.
Also, quick-detachable tongue-and-groove interlocks contribute to the acceleration and simplification of assembly and disassembly, allowing the walls 5,6 and the roof 4 of the container to be installed in one movement on the corresponding load-bearing structures of the container. Thus, the implementation of the walls of this design, as well as the use of tongue-and-groove interlocks, makes it possible to transport the container in disassembled form, since the assembly takes little time and can be carried out on site in a short time. Also, to exclude seams and cracks, the connecting elements of the container are treated with a sealant.
Thus, the proposed invention provides for the acceleration and simplification of assembly and disassembly of the container to simplify its transportation.
