Abstract
本発明のアクリルフォームは、フッ素系界面活性剤を含む。フッ素系界面活性剤としては、パーフルオロアルキル基を有する界面活性剤が好ましい。また、アクリルフォーム表面に存在するフッ素原子の割合としては、0%超0.17%未満であることが好ましい。
Description
本発明は、高回復性アクリルフォームに関する。
従来、難燃性、低圧縮永久歪及び良好な熱伝導性を有し、ハードディスクなどのOA機器や電気製品の制震材や防音材として好適なポリウレタンフォームが報告されている。(特許文献1参照)。
このようなポリウレタンフォームに対し、よりコストパフォーマンスに優れたフォームが求められている。

従って、本発明の課題は、コストパフォーマンスに優れ、圧縮永久歪が抑制された、高回復性フォームを提供することにある。
本発明者らは、上記課題に鑑み鋭意研究した結果、汎用性の高いアクリルフォームにおいて、特定の添加物を含むアクリルフォームにより、コストパフォーマンスに優れ、且つ圧縮永久歪が抑制された高回復性フォームを提供できることを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。
すなわち、本発明のアクリルフォームは、フッ素系界面活性剤を含む。
本発明によれば、コストパフォーマンスに優れ、圧縮永久歪が抑制された、高回復性フォームを提供できる。
1.アクリルフォーム
本発明のアクリルフォームは、フッ素系界面活性剤を含む。

上記フッ素系界面活性剤としては、例えば、パーフルオロアルキル基を有する界面活性剤が挙げられ、アニオン型、カチオン型、両性型、ノニオン型のものが挙げられる。中でも、ノニオン型およびアニオン型のものが好ましい。具体的には、AGCセイミケミカル社製のサーフロンS-211、S-233、S-242L、S-243、S-386、S-431、S-653、S-656、FPE-50等、ネオス社製のフタージェント150CH、212M、250等が挙げられる。これらは、単独で使用しても良いし、任意の2種以上を組み合わせて使用しても良い。
さらに、上記フッ素系界面活性剤としては、表面張力(水溶液0.1% mN/m)が19.0~25.0程度のものが好ましく、20.0~23.0程度のものがより好ましい。表面張力(水溶液0.1% mN/m)の値としては、カタログ記載の数値を採用できる。
上記フッ素系界面活性剤としては、上記の中でも、AGCセイミケミカル社製のサーフロンS-386、S-653、ネオス社製のフタージェント150CHが好ましく、AGCセイミケミカル社製のサーフロンS-653がより好ましい。
アクリルフォームにおけるフッ素系界面活性剤の含有量は、アクリルポリマー100質量部に対し、0.05質量部以上であることが好ましく、0.4質量部以上であることがより好ましく、0.6質量部以上であることがさらに好ましい。また、コストを抑制する観点から、アクリルフォームにおけるフッ素系界面活性剤の含有量は、アクリルポリマー100質量部に対し、1.5質量部以下であることが好ましく、1.0質量部以下であることがより好ましく、0.8質量部以下であることがさらに好ましい。このようにした場合に、アクリルフォームの圧縮永久歪をより抑制し、より高回復性のアクリルフォームが得られやすい。
また、アクリルフォーム表面に存在するフッ素原子の割合は、0%超0.17%未満が好ましく、0%超0.11%以下がより好ましい。このようにした場合に、アクリルフォームの圧縮永久歪をより抑制し、より高回復性のアクリルフォームが得られやすい。
アクリルフォーム表面に存在するフッ素原子の割合は、実施例に記載の方法で測定できる。

本発明のアクリルフォームは、アクリルポリマーを、例えば80質量%以上含有し、好ましくは90質量%以上、より好ましくは95質量%以上含有する。本発明のアクリルフォームには、上記フッ素系界面活性剤、アクリルポリマー以外に、例えば、公知の架橋剤由来の構成単位や、難燃剤等の他の添加剤が含まれていても良い。
2.アクリルフォームの製造方法
アクリルフォームの製造方法としては、従来公知の方法が使用できる。具体的には、アクリルポリマーを含むアクリルエマルションと、フッ素系界面活性剤とを混合した後、空気を混入しメレンゲとする。このメレンゲを基材上に塗布後乾燥することにより、アクリルフォームが得られる。アクリルエマルションとしては、特に限定されず、市販のものが使用できる。
アクリルフォームの製造方法としては、従来公知の方法が使用できる。具体的には、アクリルポリマーを含むアクリルエマルションと、フッ素系界面活性剤とを混合した後、空気を混入しメレンゲとする。このメレンゲを基材上に塗布後乾燥することにより、アクリルフォームが得られる。アクリルエマルションとしては、特に限定されず、市販のものが使用できる。
本発明の高回復性のアクリルフォームは、このように簡便な方法で製造でき、コストパフォーマンスに優れる。さらに、上記アクリルエマルションとフッ素系界面活性剤に加えて、公知の架橋剤や難燃剤等の他の添加物を添加してもよい。
以下、実施例により本発明をさらに詳しく説明するが、本発明はこれらにより何ら限定されるものではない。
実施例1
(1-1)フォーム形成用組成物の調合
以下の原料を調合し、フォーム形成用組成物を製造した。
・アクリルエマルション(DIC株式会社製 ボンコート400-E) 100質量部
・フッ素系界面活性剤[AGCセイミケミカル社製 サーフロン S-653{表面張力(水溶液0.1% mN/m)22.6}] 0.1質量部(フッ素系界面活性剤としての分量)
・架橋剤(1,3-bis(N,N-diglycidylaminomethyl)cyclohexane) 3質量部
・整泡剤(DIC株式会社製 F-1) 1質量部
・増粘剤(日本カーバイド工業株式会社製 ニカゾールVT-253) 0.15質量部
(1-1)フォーム形成用組成物の調合
以下の原料を調合し、フォーム形成用組成物を製造した。
・アクリルエマルション(DIC株式会社製 ボンコート400-E) 100質量部
・フッ素系界面活性剤[AGCセイミケミカル社製 サーフロン S-653{表面張力(水溶液0.1% mN/m)22.6}] 0.1質量部(フッ素系界面活性剤としての分量)
・架橋剤(1,3-bis(N,N-diglycidylaminomethyl)cyclohexane) 3質量部
・整泡剤(DIC株式会社製 F-1) 1質量部
・増粘剤(日本カーバイド工業株式会社製 ニカゾールVT-253) 0.15質量部
(1-2)アクリルフォームの作製
上記で得られたフォーム形成用組成物を空気と混合してメレンゲとしてから、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)フィルムの上に、乾燥後の塗工量が1.0~1.5mm程度になるように塗工した。その後、100℃で15分乾燥した後、さらに140℃で15分乾燥して、アクリルフォームを得た。このアクリルフォームについて、下記の評価方法で評価を行った。
上記で得られたフォーム形成用組成物を空気と混合してメレンゲとしてから、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)フィルムの上に、乾燥後の塗工量が1.0~1.5mm程度になるように塗工した。その後、100℃で15分乾燥した後、さらに140℃で15分乾燥して、アクリルフォームを得た。このアクリルフォームについて、下記の評価方法で評価を行った。
(1-3)劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪の測定
劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪を以下の方法で測定した。
1.アクリルフォームから試験片を切り取り、その厚さ(試験前の厚さ)を測定した。
2.上記アクリルフォームを治具で厚さ方向に70%圧縮した。この状態を、85℃、85%RHの雰囲気で1週間保った(劣化試験)。
3.その後、圧力を開放して30分以上静置後のアクリルフォームの厚さ(試験後の厚さ)を測定した。
4.1~3を3枚の試験片に対して行い、試験前後の厚みの各平均値を求めた。
5.上記試験前後の厚みの各平均値を用いて、下記式により、劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪を算出した。
圧縮永久ひずみ(%)=(試験前の厚さ-試験後の厚さ)/試験前の厚さ×100
実施例1のアクリルフォームの劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪は、53.75%であった。

図1に、実施例1~7及び比較例1のアクリルフォームについて、フッ素系界面活性剤の添加量と、劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪との関係を示す。図1に示すように、フッ素系界面活性剤を添加することにより、劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪が大幅に改善された。
実施例8~14
フッ素系界面活性剤をAGCセイミケミカル社製 サーフロン S-386[表面張力(水溶液0.1% mN/m)21.5]に変更し、フッ素系界面活性剤の添加量を下記表2に示すように変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、アクリルフォームを製造し、劣化試験後の各圧縮永久歪を測定した。劣化試験後の各圧縮永久歪を表2に示す。

実施例15
フッ素系界面活性剤をネオス社製 フタージェント 150CH[表面張力(水溶液0.1% mN/m)22]に変更した以外は、実施例5と同様にして、アクリルフォームを製造し、劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪を測定した。試験片は、複数枚を重ねて25mm厚としたものを用いた。劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪は44.53%であった。

フッ素系界面活性剤サーフロン(AGCセイミケミカル社製)およびフタージェント(ネオス社製)の品番を下記表3に示すように変更した以外は、実施例5、15と同様にして、フッ素系界面活性剤を1.0質量部配合したアクリルフォームを製造し、下記のように、表面のフッ素原子数を測定した。

・観察面:サンプル表面(1分間の金コート実施)
・条件:加速電圧 15keV、倍率 ×100
結果を表3に示す。
フッ素系界面活性剤サーフロン(AGCセイミケミカル社製)およびフタージェント(ネオス社製)の品番を下記表3に示すように変更した以外は、実施例5、15と同様にして、フッ素系界面活性剤を1.0質量部配合したアクリルフォームを製造し、下記のように、表面のフッ素原子数を測定した。
・装置:日本電子株式会社 卓上走査電子顕微鏡
JCM-6000Plus NeoScope
・観察面:サンプル表面(1分間の金コート実施)
・条件:加速電圧 15keV、倍率 ×100
結果を表3に示す。
フッ素原子数測定を行った各サンプルに対し、劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪を実施例1と同様に測定し、劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪について、フッ素系界面活性剤を不使用の場合と比較した抑制効果を以下の基準で評価した結果を表3に示す。

表3に示すように、アクリルフォーム表面に存在するフッ素原子の割合が0%超0.17%未満の場合に、劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪の抑制効果が高いという結果が得られた。
以上の通り、フッ素系界面活性剤を添加することにより、劣化試験後の圧縮永久歪が大幅に改善されたアクリルフォームが得られた。
本発明のアクリルフォームによれば、コストパフォーマンスに優れ、圧縮永久歪が抑制された、高回復性フォームを提供できる。本発明のアクリルフォームは、OA機器や電気製品の制震材や防音材、各種電池等の膨張・収縮に追従する応力緩和シート等として使用できる。
