- the scattering of cat litter when the hood cover 4 is deployed to the closed position can be suppressed by setting the lateral width of the doorway 4a to the minimum required size. . That is, in the state shown in FIG. 1 in which the hood cover 4 is deployed to the closed position, the front portion of the peripheral wall 24 of the toilet body 2 is partially covered by the first portion 34a of the hood cover 4 from both left and right sides. By providing the portion of the hood cloth 34 that covers both the left and right sides of the peripheral wall 24 in this way, it is possible to prevent cat litter from scattering outside through the doorway 4a.
- a film-like lid covering the entrance 4a is provided on the front surface of the hood cover 4, as in the second modification shown in FIG.
- the member 39 By providing the member 39, it can be substantially eliminated.
- the half cover 6 is attached to the inside of the holding plate portion 28 of the toilet body 2, regardless of whether the hood cover 4 is opened or closed, the cat litter is discharged to the toilet through the lower edge 6b of the half cover 6. It is possible to prevent the problem of leakage to the outside of the main body 2. - ⁇ Therefore, for example, it is possible to prevent cat litter from entering between the hood cover 4 when the hood cover 4 is stored in the open position (state shown in FIG. 2).
- the half cover 6 when the canopy cover 4 is deployed to the closed position (the state shown in FIG. 1), the half cover 6 partially overlaps the lower inner surface of the canopy cover 4 on the side of the toilet body 2 in the figure. Cat litter does not come into contact with the inner surface part of the hood cover 4 on which the half cover 6 overlaps, and this part is not soiled. Since the half cover 6 is made of synthetic resin, even if the half cover 6 becomes dirty, it is easier to clean than the hood cloth 34 of the hood cover 4, and the dirt can be simply wiped off.
- the first canopy rib 32a is less likely to come into contact with the upper edge 6a of the half cover 6 when the canopy cover 4 is moved to the open position. It is possible to easily fold the top cover 4 to the open position.
- a space can be provided in which the animal that has entered the toilet body 2 is hidden inside the half cover 6, which is suitable for cats who prefer dark and narrow places. space can be provided.
- the hood cover 4 is detachable from the toilet body 2, and the half cover 6 is provided separately from the toilet body 2 and detachably attached to the toilet body 2.
- the toilet 10 can be easily disassembled. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, by making the half cover 6 splittable at the central portion, a plurality of parts of the disassembled animal litter box 10 can be compactly stored together in a box that is slightly larger than the lower container 1. The storage space of the animal litter box 10 can be saved.
- the animal litter box 10 can be assembled using the two mounting members 8R and 8L without using screws or the like. Projections such as screws do not protrude on the inner surface side of the peripheral wall 24 of the intermediate container 3 of the toilet body 2. - ⁇ As a result, the assembly of the animal litter box 10 can be facilitated, and the problem of contacting the animal using the animal litter box 10 with a projecting object such as a screw can be prevented.
- a scoop (not shown) for treating feces excreted in cat litter can be hooked on the upper edge 6a of the half cover 6 and stored.
- FIG. 11 and 12 an animal litter box 50 according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 11 and 12.
- FIG. 1 the half cover 6 is eliminated, the structure of the litter box main body 52 is changed, and the shape of the entrance 54 of the hood cover 4' is changed. It has substantially the same structure as the toilet 10 for use. Therefore, in the following description, the components that function in the same manner as the animal litter box 10 of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof will be omitted.
- the toilet body 52 has a structure in which the intermediate container 3' is stacked inside the lower container 1'.
- the upper edge of the lower container 1' and the upper edge of the intermediate container 3' are inclined downward from the rear to the front. That is, the opening 52a at the upper end of the toilet body 52 is provided on an imaginary plane that is inclined downward from the rear to the front.
- the hood cover 4' has an entrance 54 in the first portion 34a.
- the entrance/exit 54 is connected to the front edge of the first portion 34a. That is, the lower edge of the doorway 54 is not connected by the hood cloth 34 and is open.
- the first canopy rib 32 a is divided into two left and right parts, and the tip of each rotation is positioned at the left and right ends of the lower edge of the doorway 54 .
- Left and right lower edges of the inlet/outlet 54 are detachably fixed to the vertical wall 25 of the intermediate container 3' by snap buttons 56. As shown in FIG.
- the animal litter box 50 includes a hood cover 4' constructed using a stretchable hood cloth 34, and has an entrance 54 on the front surface of the hood cover 4'. It is possible to achieve the same effects as the animal litter box 10 of the embodiment. Moreover, in the animal litter box 50 of the present embodiment, the shape of the litter box body 52 is changed to omit the half cover 6, so the number of parts can be reduced and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
- the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and modifications, and can be variously modified in the implementation stage without departing from the gist of the invention. Moreover, each embodiment and modification may be implemented in combination as appropriate, in which case the combined effect can be obtained. Furthermore, various inventions are included in the above embodiments, and various inventions can be extracted by combinations selected from a plurality of disclosed constituent elements. For example, even if some constituent elements are deleted from all the constituent elements shown in the embodiments, if the problem can be solved and effects can be obtained, the configuration with the constituent elements deleted can be extracted as an invention.
- the present invention is applied to the double-structured toilet body 2 in which the intermediate container 3 is stacked inside the lower container 1 .
- the present invention can also be applied to an animal litter box provided with a single-layer container-shaped toilet body without the tray 5 .
- the elastic member 38 is provided around the entrance 4a
- an annular elastic member (not shown) may be provided around the entrance 4a.
- the hood cover 4 having the three hood ribs 32a, 32b, 32c and the hood cloth 34 was described.
- canopy ribs may be provided, and the number of canopy ribs 32 is not limited to three.
- another canopy rib (not shown) may be provided between the second canopy rib 32b and the third canopy rib 32c.
- Another canopy rib may be shorter than the second and third canopy ribs 32b and 32c so that the second portion 34b of the cloth 34 does not protrude upward.
- the present invention is not limited to this. It can also be applied to non-equipped animal litter boxes.

Abstract
