第一のチャネルアクセスプロシージャ(タイプ1チャネルアクセスプロシージャ)は、LBTカテゴリ3またはLBTカテゴリ4に分類される。

アンライセンスチャネルにおいて、PDSCH、PDCCH、及び/または、EPDCCHを含んだ下りリンク送信を行う場合、基地局装置は第一のチャネルアクセスプロシージャに基づいて、そのチャネルにアクセスし、その下りリンク送信を行う。
アンライセンスチャネルにおいて、PUSCHをスケジュールする上りリンクグラントで第一のチャネルアクセスプロシージャを行うことを指示された場合、端末装置はそのPUSCHを含んだ上りリンク送信の前に第一のチャネルアクセスプロシージャを行う。
NRを用いたアンライセンスチャネルでのチャネルアクセスプロシージャでは、ビームフォームされていないチャネルセンシングとビームフォームされたチャネルセンシングを行うことができる。
図9は、フレームベース装置(FBE、Frame Based Equipment)の概要を説明するための図である。図9の上段は、横軸を時間軸としたCCA(Channel Clear Assessment)のタイミングを示している。図9の下段は、横軸を時間軸とした送信のタイミングを示している。
図10は、同期型アクセスの一例を説明するための図である。同期型アクセスでは、各無線通信装置(ノード、デバイス、基地局装置、端末装置)が時刻同期されており、所定のタイミング(例えば、同期境界、Sync boundary)で各無線通信装置(図10ではノード1~ノード5)の送信が終了する。その後、各無線通信装置(図10ではノード1~ノード5)は同期境界からLBT(タイプ1チャネルアクセスプロシージャ)を開始し、所定の期間(図10ではCWと表記されている期間)でLBT(タイプ1チャネルアクセスプロシージャ)終了する。LBTが同時に成功することで同期された無線通信装置間では同時にチャネルアクセス権(COT)を取得し、複数無線通信装置で同時送信を可能にする。
同期型アクセスにおいて、優先クラスとチャネルアクセスに関するパラメータの対応が定義される。同期型アクセスにおける優先クラスとチャネルアクセスに関するパラメータの対応表の一例を表5に示す。
NR-U(NR-Unlicensed)では、キャリアアグリゲーションの仕組みを用いたLAA(Licensed Assisted Access)のみならず、デュアルコネクティビティ(Dual Connectivity)、アンライセンスバンドのみで運用されるスタンドアロン(Stand-alone)、DLキャリアまたはULキャリアのどちらか一方がライセンスバンドで他方がアンライセンスバンド(例えば、ライセンスDL+アンライセンスUL)、など様々なユースケースをサポートすることが想定されている。
・同期型アクセスでは、次の同期境界、または、2つ次の同期境界、を越えて送信しない。
<通信システムの構成例>
図12は、本開示の実施形態に係る通信システム1の全体構成の一例を示す図である。図12に示したように、通信システム1は、複数の基地局装置20(20A及び20B)、複数の端末装置40(40A及び40B)、コアネットワーク120及びPDN(Packet Data Network)130を含む。なお、各装置の数はこれには限られず、例えば基地局装置20や端末装置40は各1台であってもよい。
次に、基地局装置20の構成を説明する。図13は、本開示の実施形態に係る基地局装置20の構成例を示す図である。基地局装置20は、端末装置40と無線通信する通信装置(無線システム)である。基地局装置20は、情報処理装置の一種である。
次に、端末装置40の構成を説明する。図14は、本開示の実施形態に係る端末装置40の構成例を示す図である。端末装置40は、基地局装置20と無線通信する通信装置(無線システム)である。端末装置40は、情報処理装置の一種である。
<同期境界(synchronization boundary)>
以下では、本実施形態における同期境界の定義について説明する。
同期型アクセスを適用する無線通信装置が取得したCOTは、COTを取得したタイミングから次の同期境界、または、2つ次の同期境界、を越えない。同期型アクセスを適用する無線通信装置は、COTを取得したタイミングから次の同期境界、または、2つ次の同期境界、を越えて上りリンク物理チャネル及び上りリンク物理信号を送信しない。換言すると同期型アクセスが適用される無線通信装置は、次の同期境界、または、2つ次の同期境界、で上りリンク物理チャネル及び上りリンク物理信号の送信を停止する。また、同期型アクセスが適用される無線通信装置は、次の同期境界、または、2つ次の同期境界、までに上りリンク物理チャネル及び上りリンク物理信号の送信を停止するよう構成されてもよい。
非同期型アクセスとのチャネル占有時間の公平性の観点から、同期型アクセスを適用する無線通信装置のCOTを延長することができる。同期型アクセスにおいて、所定の条件を満たした場合に、無線通信装置(基地局装置20、端末装置40)はCOT延長を行うことができる。
非同期型アクセスの無線通信装置が法制によって存在しないことが保証できない場合、無線通信装置は非同期型アクセスが存在するものと想定して動作する。非同期型アクセスを適用する3GPP以外のRATの一例として、無線LAN、IEEE802.11、が挙げられる。
同期型アクセスを適用している無線通信装置であっても、無線通信装置間で同期されていない場合は、同期型アクセスのCOT取得タイミング調整が困難である。そのため、同期型アクセスを適用しているが同期されていない他の無線通信装置を非同期型アクセスの無線通信装置として見なして、COT延長を行うことができる。
同期境界とCOTの取得及び開始タイミングが一定時間以上離れている場合は、非同期型アクセスからの送信によって同期境界でのCOT取得を阻害された可能性が想定される。この場合においても、非同期型アクセスの無線通信装置とのチャネル占有時間の公平性を保つため、同期型アクセスの無線通信装置はCOT延長を行うことができる。
他の無線通信装置がCOT延長の決定権を有する場合、COT延長が可能か否かの情報が同期アクセスを適用する無線通信装置に対して送られる。COT延長が可能であると示す情報を受け取った場合、無線通信装置はCOT延長を行うことができる。
同期境界以降で実施されたLBTが失敗した場合(すなわち、CCAスロットでビジーが検出された場合)、非同期アクセスの無線通信装置の送信が原因である可能性が想定される。この場合、同期型アクセスの無線通信装置はCOT延長を行うことができる。
同期境界のタイミングにて、他の無線通信装置の送信信号を検出した場合、同期型アクセスの無線通信装置はCOT延長を行うことができる。他の無線通信装置からの信号の検出の方法は、CCAであってもよいし、CCAとは異なる信号検出手法(例えば、復号ベースの検出手法)であってもよい。
他の無線通信装置が次の同期境界以降もCOTを占有し続ける予定である場合、同期境界以外のタイミングでCOTを取得する可能性が考えられる。この場合、同期型アクセスの無線通信装置はCOT延長を行うことができる。
COT延長は、上述された条件を満たした場合に、適用することができる。しかしながら、上述された条件を満たしたとしても、COT延長を行わない方が、通信効率が向上する場合も想定される。例えば、早期のタイミングでCOTを終了することで、次の同期境界タイミングで同期ノードがLBTを行い、同時送信を行うことができる。そのため、COT延長を行うか否かは、無線通信装置が選択することができる。
基地局装置開始COTをCOT延長するか否は、基地局装置20が決定することができる。
(端末装置開始COTのCOT延長を端末装置40が決定)
一例として、端末装置開始COT(UE-initiated COT)をCOT延長するか否は、端末装置40が決定することができる。
別の一例として、端末装置開始COT(UE-initiated COT)に対するCOT延長の判断は、基地局装置20が決定することができる。基地局装置20は、端末装置40から得られた情報に基づいて、COT延長をするか否かを判断する。先ず、COTを取得した端末装置40は、COTを取得したことを基地局装置20に通知する。更に、COT延長の判断に用いられる情報を基地局装置20に通知する。
COT延長を選択可能な無線通信装置は、他の無線通信装置(基地局装置20、端末装置40)に対してCOT延長を行う予定か否かを通知する。他の無線通信装置は、COT延長を行う予定か否かの情報を受けることで、動作を準備することができる。例えば、COT延長の情報を受けた他の無線通信装置は、次の同期境界から2つ次の同期境界までの間はCOTが続くことを事前に認知しているため、LBTの動作をスキップすることができる。これにより、他の無線通信装置は不要なLBTの動作を行わないため、消費電力を低減させることができる。
COT延長を行う無線通信装置は、次の同期境界を越えて送信し続けることができる。一方で、ある無線通信装置がCOT延長を行ってCOT境界でも送信し続けた場合には、同期型アクセスを行う無線通信装置のLBTが失敗してしまうため、同時送信可能な無線通信装置であっても送信機会を失ってしまう。
同期境界の周期及び開始位置は変更することが可能である。基地局装置20は、同期境界を変更した場合には、隣接する基地局装置20に対して、変更した同期境界に関する情報を通知することが好ましい。
同期型アクセスにおいて、同期境界からLBTを開始することが望ましい。これにより不要なLBTの動作を避けることができ、消費電力の低減に寄与する。一方で、LBT開始位置を制限することで、チャネルアクセスの頻度が低減し、通信効率の低下を招く。そのため、LBTの開始タイミングの設定は、条件に応じて、切り替えられてもよい。
同期アクセスにおいて、同期された無線通信装置間で共通の送信タイミングが設定されることが望ましい。これにより、同期された無線通信装置間で同時送信が可能となる。
同期型アクセスでは、同期された無線通信装置間で共通の衝突窓サイズが適用されることが好ましい。これにより、同時送信において不要な待機時間が削減され、チャネルアクセス遅延を低減することができる。
同期型アクセスの変形例として、協調する複数の無線通信装置(例えば、同一のCoMPクラスタに所属する基地局装置20)において、タイプ1チャネルアクセスプロシージャを行う無線通信装置と、タイプ2チャネルアクセスプロシージャのみを行う無線通信装置が設定されてもよい。タイプ1チャネルアクセスプロシージャを行う無線通信装置はプライマリ無線通信装置(プライマリノード、マスターノード)と定義し、タイプ2チャネルアクセスプロシージャのみを行う無線通信装置はセカンダリ無線通信装置(セカンダリノード、スレイブノード)と定義される。
FBEの変形例として、COTの開始タイミングを任意のタイミングに変更することができる。無線通信装置は、アイドル区間として設定された合計時間で送信停止する条件を満たす限り、任意のタイミングにてCCAを行い、COTを開始する。このFBEの変形例は、CCAのタイミングをランダムに変更することで、ランダムバックオフと同等の効果を発揮することができ、LBEの無線通信装置と共存することが可能となる。本変形例は、フローティングCOTとも称される。
なお、上述された実施形態は、端末装置40間で行われるサイドリンク通信にも適用が可能である。例えば、上述された基地局装置20を他の端末装置40を制御する端末装置40(プライマリ端末装置、マスター端末装置とも称される。)、上述された端末装置40を他の端末装置40から制御される端末装置40(セカンダリ端末装置、スレーブ端末装置とも称される。)、として見なすことができる。
上述の実施形態は一例を示したものであり、種々の変更及び応用が可能である。
以上説明したように、本開示の一実施形態によれば、端末装置40は、通信装置(例えば、基地局装置20、他の端末装置40)と同期境界で時間同期する。端末装置40は、信号処理部41(無線通信部の一例)と、制御部45と、を備る。制御部45は、COTの延長を行うか否かを判断するための判断情報を、信号処理部41を介して送信し、COTに関する情報を受信し、受信したCOTに関する情報に基づいて上り送信を行うように構成される。COTに関する情報がCOTの延長を示さない場合には、少なくとも第1の同期境界までにCOTが終了する。COTに関する情報が、COTの延長を示す場合には、第1の同期境界の後、かつ、第1の同期境界の次に発生する第2の同期境界までCOTが終了する。本実施形態の端末装置40を導入することで、端末装置40は同期型アクセスによる通信が可能となる。
