Les moyens mis en œuvre par l'invention permettent d'absorber progressivement mais sûrement toute l'énergie cinétique lors de la manœuvre d'ouverture par exemple et de l'emmagasiner progressivement, de la stocker intacte pour la restituer ultérieurement lors de la manœuvre de fermeture de l'ouvrant par exemple. L'invention est réversible avec une réversibilité droite-gauche et une réversibilité haute-basse. L'invention peut être mis à profit simultanément à chacune des extrémités des montants du cadre ouvrant d'un coulissant et en rapport avec chacune des extrémités des traverses, haute et basse, du cadre dormant en assumant des fonctions symétrie appropriées à la manœuvre entreprise. Dans le cas de coulissants intercalaires, l'invention peut être mise à profit de manière identique pour chaque vantail avec cette particularité que la référence de ces vantaux coulissants sera non un montant mais un point de référence de position fermée sur les traverses, haute et basse, du cadre dormant. A ces effets, il suffit d'orienter et de positionner les dispositifs de manières à ce qu'elles exécutent les mêmes fonctions aux extrémités d'un même montant ou point de référence et des fonctions inverses aux extrémités du montant opposé du cadre ouvrant.
