Abstract

Une variante d'un procédé de séquestration de carbone comprend : le mélange d'air ambiant comprenant du dioxyde de carbone et des gaz secondaires avec un fluide de travail pour générer un premier mélange ; à transporter le premier mélange à travers un compresseur pour mettre sous pression le premier mélange d'une première pression à une seconde pression supérieure à la première pression pour favoriser l'absorption du dioxyde de carbone dans le fluide de travail ; à déposer le premier mélange dans un récipient haute pression pour générer un courant d'échappement de gaz secondaires et un second mélange comprenant du dioxyde de carbone dissous dans le fluide de travail ; à transporter le second mélange à travers une turbine configurée pour extraire de l'énergie et à réduire la pression du second mélange, de la seconde pression à la première pression, pour favoriser la désorption du dioxyde de carbone à partir du fluide de travail ; le transfert du second mélange dans le récipient à basse pression ; et la libération du dioxyde de carbone, désorbé du fluide de travail, à partir du récipient à basse pression pour la collecte.
