- the cutting oil supply groove 16 is formed to have a reduced cross-sectional area as the width gradually decreases from the start portion 161 to the end portion 162 .
- the extension lines of both sidewalls of the coolant supply groove 16 may form approximately ⁇ ° (see FIG. 9 ). Through this, it is possible to increase the pressure of the cutting oil applied to the point portion 15 of the cutting insert 1 to increase the wear resistance of the cutting insert 1 .
- the tool holder 2 is provided with a cutting oil supply pipe 26 therein.
- the coolant supply pipe 26 is connected to the tool holder free surface 24 to form a coolant supply hole 25, and is branched in the middle to connect to and communicate with the coolant supply groove 16 of the cutting insert (1).
- the coolant supplied from the coolant supply unit passes through the coolant supply pipe 26 and is discharged through the coolant supply hole 25 of the tool holder 2, and at the same time, the branch pipe 27 of the tool holder 2 ) and the cutting oil supply groove 16 of the cutting insert 1 may be supplied at a high pressure toward the point portion 15 of the cutting insert. Therefore, since it is possible to improve the cutting performance and increase the wear resistance of the cutting insert, it is possible to reduce the replacement frequency of the cutting insert, thereby greatly improving the economic efficiency.
- the present invention can be used in a cutting tool for processing a workpiece.
