Abstract

The utility model relates to means for connecting structural elements and can be used in load-bearing structures in the construction of three-dimensional joint structures in roofing for various types of buildings. A joint for connecting beams comprises a metal connector and, connected thereto by means of fastening members, beams made of glued laminated timber. Said fastening members are configured in the form of metal bushes having an axial aperture with an internal thread and are inserted and glued into longitudinal blind holes drilled into the end faces of the beams. Said connector is connected to the beams by means of metal bolts screwed into the threaded apertures of the bushings and rigidly joining the connector to the beams. The result is an increase in the strength and load-bearing capacity of a joint for connecting wooden beams.
