Abstract

Provided is a composition for cleansing keratin fibers containing: (A) at least one cationic polymer comprising (A-1) a cationic cellulose copolymer or cellulose derivative grafted with a water-soluble quaternary ammonium monomer, optionally together with (A-2) an additional cationic polymer; (B) surfactant comprising (B-1) at least one anionic surfactant, and/or (B-2) at least one amphoteric surfactant; (C) at least one thickening agent; and (D) optionally, at least one silicone oil.

Description

Composition for cleansing keratin fibers and use thereof Technical field
The present invention relates to a composition for cleansing keratin fibers, in particular the hair. The invention also relates to a process for cleansing keratin fibers, in particular the skin, scalp and/or hair, using the composition of the present invention.
Background
Keratin fibers are present widely on surface of human bodies, e.g., in particular hair. Many people have for a long time sought to cleanse the keratin fiber, so as to feel comfortable in daily life and work. Various products are developed to deal with the requirements of cleansing keratin fiber of person, many of which are used to bring both cleansing and some other effects.
Keratin fibers, in particular the hair, are cleansed and treated to improve its look, color, style, etc. Thus, various cleansing and/or conditioning components are added directed into shampoo. Further, in additional to the functions of cleansing and conditioning, some other properties are also important to attract consumers, e.g., special fragrance, good appearance, smooth feeling, ease of use and the like. For example, many consumers like a smooth feeling of hair instead of tangled lock of hair.
Summary of the invention
One subject of the present invention is thus a cleansing composition for cleansing keratin fibers comprising:
at least one cationic polymer, comprising a cationic cellulose copolymer or cellulose derivative grafted with a water-soluble quaternary ammonium monomer, optionally together with an additional cationic polymer;
at least one anionic surfactant, and/or at least one amphoteric surfactant;
at least one thickening agent; and
optionally, at least one silicone oil.
The composition according to the present invention is particularly useful for a shampoo product.
The present invention also relates to a process for cleansing keratin fibers, in  particular keratin fibers on body surface, especially hair, using the cleansing composition according to the invention.
The present invention thus provides use of the composition of the present invention for cleansing keratin fibers.
Embodiments of the invention
Throughout the description, including the claims, the term "comprising a" should be understood as being synonymous with "comprising at least one" , unless otherwise mentioned. Moreover, the expression "at least one" used in the present description is equivalent to the expression "one or more" .
Throughout the description, including the claims, an embodiment defined with “comprising” or the like should be understood to encompass a preferable embodiment defined with “consisting substantially of” and a preferable embodiment defined with “consisting of” .
Other than in the operating examples, or where otherwise indicated, all numbers expressing quantities of components and/or reaction conditions are to be understood as being modified in all instances by the term "about, " with conventionally known meaning in the art, e.g., within 10%of the indicated number (e.g. "about 10%" means 9%-11%and "about 2%" means 1.8%-2.2%) .
Throughout the description, including the claims, the “keratin fiber” according to the present invention is preferably hair.
In the application, unless specifically mentioned otherwise, contents, parts and percentages are expressed on a weight basis.
The present invention is directed to a composition for cleansing keratin fibers, comprising:
(A) at least one cationic polymer, comprising (A-1) a cationic cellulose copolymer or cellulose derivative grafted with a water-soluble quaternary ammonium monomer, optionally together with (A-2) an additional cationic polymer;
(B) at least one surfactant comprising (B-1) at least one anionic surfactant, and/or (B-2) at least one amphoteric surfactant;
(C) at least one thickening agent; and
(D) optionally, at least one silicone oil.
The present invention thus provides use of the composition of the present invention for cleansing keratin fibers on body surface, especially hair.
The present invention also provides use of the fatty acid-ester mixture for cleansing keratin fibers on body surface, especially hair.
The present invention also relates to a process for cleansing keratin fibers, in particular keratin fibers on body surface, especially hair, using the cleansing composition according to the invention.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge more clearly on reading the description and the examples that follow.
Cationic polymer (A)
The composition of the invention comprises at least one cationic polymer.
The term "cationic polymer" is intended to mean any polymer comprising cationic groups and/or groups that can be ionized to cationic groups. Preferably, the cationic polymer is hydrophilic or amphiphilic. The preferred cationic polymers are chosen from those that contain units comprising primary, secondary, tertiary and/or quaternary amine groups that may either form part of the main polymer chain or may be borne by a side substituent directly connected thereto. Preferably, the present composition can comprise cationic polysaccharides, in particular cationic celluloses and cationic galactomannan gums. For the purpose of the invention, the present composition preferably comprises cationic celluloses.
Cationic polymer (A-1)
Among the cationic celluloses, the present composition comprises cationic cellulose copolymers or cellulose derivatives grafted with a water-soluble quaternary ammonium monomer, which are described, for example, in US patent 4 131 576, and mention may be made of hydroxyalkyl celluloses, for instance hydroxymethyl-, hydroxyethyl-or hydroxypropylcelluloses grafted, in particular, with a methacryloylethyltrimethylammonium, methacrylamidopropyltrimethylammonium, dimethyldiallylammonium or hydroxypropyltrialkylammonium salt, for example 2-hydroxypropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride. The commercial products corresponding to this definition are more particularly the products sold under the names

400KC by the company KCI, Polyquaternium-6 (Polydiallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride) such as the product sold under the name Merquat TM 100 polymer from Nalco. Amongst others, Polyquaternium polymers are particularly preferred, e.g., Polyquaternium-7, 11, 15, 16, 22, 39, 47, 55, 67, and 76.
The cationic polymer (A-1) may be present in the composition according to the present invention in an amount from 0.01 to 5%by weight of cationic polymer (s) , preferably from 0.05 to 1%by weight, or preferably from 0.1 to 0.6%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.
Cationic polymer (A-2)
Cationic galactomannan gums can be used as an additional cationic polymer.
The cationic galactomannan gums are described, for example, in US3 589 578 and US4 031 307, and mention may be made of guar gums comprising cationic trialkylammonium groups. Use is made, for example, of guar gums modified with a 2, 3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium salt (for example, chloride) . Such products are especially sold under the names JAGUAR C13 S, JAGUAR C 15, JAGUAR C 17 or JAGUAR C162. Without being limited to any known theory, it is believed that for the purpose of the present invention, hydroxypropyl guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride is preferably used, which can bring a particular feeling of cleaning, e.g., JAGUAR C162 by the company Rhodia (INCI: hydroxypropyl guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride) .
The cationic polymer (A-2) may be present in the composition according to the present invention in an amount from 0.01 to 5%by weight of cationic polymer (s) , preferably from 0.1 to 2%by weight, or preferably from 0.1 to 0.6%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, a combination of the cationic polymer (A-1) and the cationic polymer (A-2) may be present in the composition according to the present invention, preferably in an amount from 0.02%to 10%by weight, such as from 0.05%to 2%by weight, or from 0.1%to 1%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.
Surfactant (B)
The composition according to the present invention comprises at least one surfactant, in particular (B-1) at least one anionic surfactant, and/or (B-2) at least one amphoteric surfactant.
Anionic surfactant (B-1)
According to an embodiment of the invention, the composition according to the present invention comprises at least one anionic surfactant (B-1) .
The term “anionic surfactant” is understood to mean an amphiphilic compound with a hydrophobic part and a hydrophilic part wherein the hydrophilic part carries as ionic or ionisable group only anionic group with a cationic counterion which is generally metallic (alkali metal, such as Na or K) or ammonium, capable of dissociating to give anions in aqueous solution.
More particularly the anionic group of the anionic surfactant is belonging to the group chosen from: C (O) OH, –C (O) O -, -SO 3H, -S (O)  2O -, -OS (O)  2OH, -OS (O)  2O -, -P (O) OH 2, -P (O)  2O -, -P (O) O 2 -, -P (OH)  2, =P (O) OH, -P (OH) O -, =P (O) O -, =POH, =PO -, the cationic counter anion being usually selected from alkali metal such as sodium, or alkaline earth metal such as magnesium, or organic cationic counter anion such as ammonium salts, amine salts, or aminoalcohol salts. The surfactants may also occur in their acid forms.
Mention may be made, as anionic surfactants, of surfactants comprising carboxylate, sulfate, sulfonate, sulfoacetate, sulfosuccinate, phosphate, isethionate, sarcosinate, glutamate, lactylate or taurate anionic groups, salts of fatty acids, salts of galactosiduronic acids, salts of ether carboxylic acids surfactants and their mixtures. ]
More particularly, the anionic surfactant according to the invention is chosen from:
● (C 6-C 30) alkyl sulfates, (C 6-C 30) alkyl ether sulfates, (C 6-C 30) alkylamido ether sulfates, alkylaryl polyether sulfates or monoglyceride sulfates; preferably for this type of anionic surfactants, (C 6-C 30) alkyl ether sulfates, alkylaryl polyether sulfates, or a mixture is used. Mentions may be made of sulfate of ether of lauryl alcohol and alkylene oxide, containing from 1 to 50 alkylene oxide groups.
More preferably, the anionic surfactant is chosen from sulfate of ether of lauryl alcohol and alkylene oxide containing from 1 to 4 alkylene oxide groups, especially  ethylene oxide groups. For example, sodium laureth sulfate containing in average 2.2 ethylene oxide groups that are sold by the company Cognis (BASF) under the name

The alkyl or acyl radicals of these various anionic surfactants preferably comprise from 12 to 20 carbon atoms.
Furthermore, the oxyalkylenated or polyoxyalkylenated anionic surfactants  preferably comprise from 1 to 50 alkylene oxide groups, more preferably from 1 to 4 alkylene oxide groups, in particular ethylene oxide groups.
Advantageously, according to an embodiment, the present invention comprises at least one anionic surfactant chosen from (C 6-C 30) alkyl sulfates, (C 6-C 30) alkyl ether sulfates, (C 6-C 30) alkylamido ether sulfates, alkylaryl polyether sulfates, monoglyceride sulfates, (C 6-C 24) acyl isethionates, or a mixture thereof.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the anionic surfactant is preferably chosen from sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, or a mixture thereof.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the anionic surfactant is sodium laureth sulfate containing in average 0.8-2.2 ethylene oxide groups.
According to an especially exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the composition may be free of any sulfate to be used as the anionic surfactant.
The at least one anionic surfactant (B-1) may be present in the composition according to the present invention in an amount from 1%to 30%, such as from 5%to 25%, or from 10%to 20%, relative to the total weight of the composition.
Amphoteric surfactant (B-2)
According to an embodiment of the invention, the composition according to the present invention comprises at least one amphoteric surfactant (B-2) , which may also be called as zwitterionic surfactant.
The amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactant (s) that may be used in the present invention may be quaternized secondary or tertiary aliphatic amine derivatives containing at least one anionic group, for instance a carboxylate, sulfonate, sulfate, phosphate or phosphonate group, and in which the aliphatic group or at least one of the aliphatic groups is a linear or branched chain comprising from 8 to 22 carbon atoms.
Mention may be made in particular of (C 8-C 20) alkylbetaines, sulfobetaines, (C 8-C 20 alkyl) amido (C 2-C 8 alkyl) betaines and (C 8–C 20 alkyl) amido (C 2-C 8 alkyl) sulfobetaines.
Among the (C 8-C 20) alkylbetaines, mentions may be made of behenylbetaine, cetyl betaine, cocoylbetaine, decylbetaine. From alkylbetaines, cocoylbetaine is preferred, for example the products sold by the company Rhodia under the tradename

Preferably, the amphoteric surfactants may be chosen from (C 8-C 20) alkylbetaines, (C 8-C 20) alkylamido (C 1-C 6) alkylbetaines, and mixtures thereof.
More preferably, the amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactant may be chosen from cocamidopropyl betaine, cocoylbetaine, or a mixture thereof.
The at least one amphoteric surfactant (B-2) may be present in the composition according to the present in the composition in an amount from 0.5%to 20%by weight, such as from 0.5%to 10%by weight, or from 1%to 6%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition including all ranges and subranges therebetween.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the surfactant may comprise preferably a combination of anionic surfactant and amphoteric surfactant, preferably in an amount from 1%to 40%by weight, such as from 5%to 30%by weight, or from 10%to 20%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition. More preferably, the surfactant of the invention contains a combination of a sulfate anionic surfactant and a betaine surfactant, such as a combination of sodium laureth sulfate and cocamidopropyl betaine. Without being restricted to any known theory, it is believed that such a  combination can particularly benefit the cleansing ability of the shampoo, especially when the cationic polymer (A) is incorporated.
Thickening agent (C)
As a shampoo, it is preferable that the present composition can be dispensed easily and uniformly on hair, or hair along with scalp. Accordingly, a thickening agent can be preferably incorporated into the composition according to the present invention, so as to adjust the viscosity of the product obtained, and to facilitate lamellar distribution or the formation of a uniform film of the composition on hair, or hair along with scalp.
Thickening agents include those which increase the viscosity of the composition without significantly altering the effectiveness of one or more of the active ingredients within the composition. Thickening agents can also increase the compositional stability of the composition.
Non-limiting examples of thickening agents include carboxylic acid polymers, crosslinked polyacrylate polymers, polyacrylamide polymers, polysaccharides, and gums.
Examples of the carboxylic acid polymer include a crosslinking compound containing one or more monomers derived from acrylic acid, substituted acrylic acid, and salts and esters of these acrylic acid and substituted acrylic acid, wherein the crosslinking agent contains two or more carbons-The carbon double bond is derived from a polyol. Examples of commercially available carboxylic acid polymers include carbomer, which is a homopolymer of acrylic acid crosslinked with sucrose or an allyl ether of pentaerythritol (e.g., Carbopol 900 series from B. F. Goodrich) .
Non-limiting examples of polyacrylamide polymers, including nonionic polyacrylamide polymers, including substituted branched or unbranched polymers, include polyacrylamides, isoparaffins, and laureth-7, acrylamide. And substituted multi-block copolymers of acrylamide with acrylic acid and substituted acrylic acid.
Non-limiting examples of polysaccharides include cellulose, carboxymethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate propionate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, methylhydroxyethylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium cellulose sulfate, and mixtures thereof. Another example is an alkyl substituted cellulose wherein the hydroxyl group of the cellulosic polymer is hydroxyalkylated (preferably hydroxyethylated or  hydroxypropylated) to form a hydroxyalkylated cellulose, which is then further modified with a C10-C30 straight chain or branched chain alkyl group through an ether linkage. These polymers are typically ethers of C 10-C 30 straight or branched alcohols with hydroxyalkyl celluloses. Other useful polysaccharides include linear scleroglucans comprising (1-3) linked glucose units, wherein each of the three units has (1-6) linked glucose.
Non-limiting examples of gums include gum arabic, agar, algin, alginic acid, ammonium alginate, amylopectin, calcium alginate, calcium carrageenan, carnitine, carrageenan, dextrin, gelatin, guar gum, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, hectorite, hyaluronic acid, hydrated silica, hydroxypropyl chitosan, hydroxypropyl guar, karaya gum, seaweed, locust bean gum, natto gum, potassium alginate, carrageenan potassium, propylene glycol alginate, sclerotium gum, sodium carboxymethyl dextran, carrageenan sodium, tragacanth, xanthan gum and mixtures thereof.
The thickening agent may be present in the composition according to the present invention in an amount ranging from 0.01%to 5%by weight, preferably ranging from 0.05%to 3%by weight, or preferably ranging from 0.1%to 1%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.
Silicone oil (D)
The present composition can optionally comprise at least one silicone oil. For the purpose of the present invention, the term "silicone oil" is intended to mean an oil comprising at least one silicon atom, and especially at least one Si-O group.
Of course, a composition according to the invention or under consideration according to a process of the invention can contain a mixture of silicone oils only partly made up of such an oil.
The silicone oils that can be used in the compositions according to the invention may be volatile and/or non-volatile.
Volatile silicone oils
According to a first embodiment, the compositions according to the invention comprise at least one volatile silicone oil.
The volatile silicone oil that can be used in the invention can be chosen from silicone  oils having in particular a viscosity at 25℃ ofless than or equal to 8 centistokes (cSt) (8×10 -6 m 2/s) .
In addition, the volatile silicone oil that can be used in the invention may be chosen preferably from silicone oils having a flash point ranging from 40℃ to 102℃, preferably having a flash point of greater than 55℃ and less than or equal to 95℃, and preferentially ranging from 65℃ to 95℃.
Non-volatile silicone oils
According to a second embodiment, the compositions according to the invention may comprise at least one non-volatile silicone oil.
The non-volatile silicone oil that can be used in the invention may be chosen from silicone oils having a viscosity at 25℃ of greater than or equal to 9 centistokes (cSt) (9×10 -6 m 2/s) and less than 800 000 cSt, preferably between 50 and 600 000 cSt, preferably between 100 and 500 000 cSt. The viscosity of this silicone can be measured according to standard ASTM D-445.
Among these silicone oils, two types of oils can be distinguished according to whether or not they are phenyl oils.
By way of representation of these non-volatile linear silicone oils, mention may be made of polydimethylsiloxanes (dimethicones) ; alkyl dimethicones; vinylmethyl methicones; and also silicones modified with aliphatic, optionally fluorinated, groups or with functional groups such as hydroxyl, thiol and/or amine groups.
The silicones modified with amine groups which are particularly preferred in accordance with the invention are polysiloxanes comprising amino groups, such as amodimethicones or trimethylsilylamodimethicones.
The silicone oil may be present in the composition according to the present invention in an amount ranging from 0.1%to 20%by weight, preferably from 0.5%to 10%by weight and more particularly from 1%to 5%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the present composition can be free of the silicone oil (D) .
Solvent
The composition according to the invention can advantageously comprise one or more solvent (s) , e.g., water and/or organic solvent.
Water
The composition according to the invention may advantageously comprises water in various amounts. For example, water is used in a content of greater than or equal to 40%by weight relative to the total weight of composition. The water content in the low viscosity composition according to the invention preferably ranges from 40%to 90%by weight, more preferably from 50%to 85%by weight, or from 60%to 80%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.
Organic solvent
The composition according to the invention may also comprise one or more organic solvents, preferably water-soluble organic solvents (solubility of greater than or equal to 5%in water at 25℃ and at atmospheric pressure) .
Examples of the organic solvents that may be mentioned include linear or branched, and preferably saturated, monoalcohols or diols, comprising 2 to 10 carbon atoms, such as ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, hexylene glycol (2-methyl-2, 4-pentanediol) , neopentyl glycol and 3-methyl-1, 5-pentanediol, butylene glycol, dipropylene glycol and propylene glycol; aromatic alcohols such as phenylethyl alcohol; polyols containing more than two hydroxyl functions, such as glycerol; polyol ethers, for instance ethylene glycol monomethyl, monoethyl and monobutyl ether, propylene glycol or ethers thereof, for instance propylene glycol monomethyl ether; and also diethylene glycol alkyl ethers, especially C 1-C 4 alkyl ethers, for instance diethylene glycol monoethyl ether or monobutyl ether, alone or as a mixture.
The organic solvents, when they are present, may be represent between 0%and 20%by weight relative to the total weight of the composition according to the invention, and preferably between 0.1%and 15%by weight, or between 0.3%and 5%by weight. According to an embodiment of the present invention, no alcohol, in particular polyol, is intentionally added into the composition of the invention as an organic solvent. For example, the composition according to the present invention may be free of any polyol.
Additional Additives
According to various embodiments, the compositions of the present invention are provided for application to keratin fibers, such as skin or hair. In accordance with these embodiments, the compositions of the present invention can comprise various ingredients conventionally useful in compositions for cleansing keratin fibers, such as, active ingredients, humectants, fatty substances, antidandruff agents, anti-seborrhoea agents, agents for preventing hair loss and/or for promoting hair regrowth, vitamins and provitamins including panthenol, sunscreens, sequestrants, plasticizers, acidifying agents, opacifiers, pearlescent or nacreous agents, antioxidants, hydroxyacids, fragrances and preserving agents.
A non-exhaustive listing of such ingredients can be found in U.S. patent application publication no. 2004/0170586, the entire contents of which is hereby incorporated by reference. Still further examples of such additional ingredients may be found in the International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and Handbook (9 th ed. 2002) .
A person skilled in the art will take care to select the optional additional additives and/or the amount thereof such that the advantageous properties of the composition according to the invention are not, or are not substantially, adversely affected by the envisaged addition.
These additives may be selected variously by the person skilled in the art in order to prepare a composition which has the desired properties, for example, consistency or texture. In particular, the additives, if used, and the amounts thereof are particularly determined according to the specific products/applications thereof, e.g., lotion, leave-on conditioner, shampoo, cream, rinse-off conditioner, emulsion and the like.
These additives may be present in the composition in an amount from 0.01%to 90%relative to the total weight of the composition and further such as from 0.1%to 50% (if present) , including all ranges and subranges therebetween.
Method and use
The composition according to the present invention can be generally prepared according to the general knowledge of a person skilled in the art. Nevertheless, it is to be understood that a person skilled in the art can choose the method of preparation, on the basis of his/her general knowledge, taking into account the nature of the constituents used,  for example, their solubility in the vehicle, and the application envisaged for the compositions or the kit.
According to an embodiment, the composition according to the present invention can be used for cleansing keratin fibers, especially hair, or the hair along with the scalp. This use may manifest itself as a process for cleansing keratin fibers, especially the hair, comprising the step applying on said keratin fibers the composition of the invention.
The composition according to the present invention is preferably useful to produce a shampoo product. The invention will be further illustrated by the following examples, which set forth particularly advantageous embodiments.
Notwithstanding that the numerical ranges and parameters setting forth the broad scope of the present invention are approximations, the numerical values set forth in the specific examples are reported as precisely as possible. Any numerical value, however, inherently contain certain errors necessarily resulting from the standard deviation found in their respective measurements. The following examples are intended to illustrate the present invention without limiting the scope as a result.
Examples
The ingredient amounts/concentrations in the compositions/formulas described below were expressed in %by weight, relative to the total weight of each composition/formula.
Materials without specification here were each commercially available.
Example 1
Compositions A1-A2, and comparative composition B, as Tables 1 and 2, were respectively formulated:

The above listed compositions A1, A2, and B were prepared according to known manufacturing method of field.
Compositions A1, A2 and B were obtained in shampoo product according to the present invention.
Example 2
The compositions A1, A2 and B were evaluated. Equivalent samples of Chinese hair swatch of 6g, 27cm, were used. A same device of DIASTRON MTT175, but with different parts, was used for two tests: TOUCHAIR test (for average friction force (reported in N) ) and DETANGLE test (for average detangling force (reported in N) ) , according to standard procedures for the two tests on the device. For each of the tests, a relatively lower value represented a better result. The evaluation was made according to the following steps:
1) All the hair swatches were washed with the cleansing compositions A1, A2 andB twice (1.6g+1.2g/6g hair swatch) according to procedure RC-MCI-OIP-003B;
2) Then friction force was measured for all the swatches with the TOUCHAIR test in wet condition;
3) All the hair swatches were regrouped into groups with similar average wet friction force and its standard deviation;
4) The swatches were respectively treated with all the products according to the standard procedures but with 2 applications (dosage: 1.6g+1.2g) ;
5) Then friction force was measured for all the swatches with the TOUCHAIR test in wet condition;
6) The hair swatches were naturally dried overnight and kept in a H&T chamber (23℃, 50%RH) ;
7) Then friction force was measured again for all the swatches with the TOUCHAIR test in dry condition;
8) All the hair swatches go through wind blow in T&H chamber (10 min) to generate tangles;
9) The detangling force was measured with Detangle test in dry condition;
10) The hair swatches were twisted in a mixer with water (10s for each) to create tangles;
11) The detangling force was measured with wet Detangle test in wet condition.
Results were provided in Table 2 below.

Referring to Table 2, it was observed that the compositions A1 and A2 showed performances relatively better than composition B.

Claims (17)

  1. A composition for cleansing keratin fibers, comprising the components of:
    (A) at least one cationic polymer, comprising (A-1) a cationic cellulose copolymer or cellulose derivative grafted with a water-soluble quaternary ammonium monomer, optionally together with (A-2) an additional cationic polymer;
    (B) surfactant comprising (B-1) at least one anionic surfactant, and/or (B-2) at least one amphoteric surfactant;
    (C) at least one thickening agent; and
    (D) optionally, at least one silicone oil.
  2. The composition according to claim 1, wherein the cationic polymer (A-1) is selected from the group consisting of Polyquaternium-6, 7, 10, 11, 15, 16, 22, 39, 47, 55, 67, and 76.
  3. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the cationic polymer (A-2) is selected from the group consisting of cationic galactomannan gums, e.g., guar gums comprising cationic trialkylammonium groups, such as or guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride.
  4. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the cationic polymer (A) comprises both the cationic polymer (A-1) and the cationic polymer (A-2) .
  5. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the cationic polymer (A) is present in the composition in an mount from 0.01 to 5%by weight of cationic polymer (s) , preferably from 0.05 to 1%by weight, or preferably from 0.1 to 0.5%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.
  6. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the anionic surfactant (B-1) is selected from the group consisting of alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or ammonium salt of: laureth sulfate, lauroyl methyl isethionate, cocoyl isethionate, or a mixture thereof.
  7. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the anionic surfactant (B) is present in the composition in an amount from 1%to 30%by weight, such as from 5%to 25%by weight, or from 10%to 20%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition including all ranges and subranges therebetween.
  8. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the amphoteric surfactants (B-2) is a betaine surfactant selected from the group consisting of (C 8-C 20) alkylbetaines, sulfobetaines, (C 8-C 20 alkyl) amido (C 2-C 8 alkyl) betaines and (C 8–C 20 alkyl) amido (C 2-C 8 alkyl) sulfobetaines; preferably cocoamidopropylbetaine or cocoylbetaine.
  9. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the amphoteric surfactants (B-2) is present in the composition in an amount from 0.5%to 20%by weight, such as from 0.5%to 10%by weight, or from 1%to 6%by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition including all ranges and subranges therebetween.
  10. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the composition comprises a combination of an anionic surfactant in form of a sulfate and a betaine surfactant, such as a combination of sodium laureth sulfate and cocoylamidopropylbetaine.
  11. The composition according to claim 10, wherein the combination of anionic surfactant (B-1) and amphoteric surfactant (B-2) is present in the composition according to the present invention in an amount from 1%to 40%by weight, such as from 5%to 30%by weight, or from 10%to 20%by weight, relative to the total weight ofthe composition.
  12. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the thickening agent (C) is selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acid polymers, crosslinked polyacrylate polymers, polyacrylamide polymers, polysaccharides, and gums, or a mixture thereof; preferably polysaccharides selected the group consisting of cellulose, carboxymethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate propionate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, methylhydroxyethylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium cellulose sulfate, and mixtures thereof.
  13. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the at least one thickening agent is present in the composition in an amount from 0.01%to 5%by weight, preferably ranging from 0.05%to 3%by weight, or preferably ranging from 0.1%to 1%by weight, relative to the total weight ofthe composition including all ranges and subranges therebetween.
  14. The composition according to any one ofthe preceding claims, wherein the  silicone oil (D) is present and selected from the group consisting of polydimethylsiloxanes; C1-10 alkyl dimethicones; vinylmethyl methicones; amodimethicones and trimethylsilylamodimethicones 
  15. The composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the silicone oil (D) is present in the composition in an amount from 0.1%to 20%by weight, preferably from 0.5%to 10%by weight and more particularly from 1%to 5 by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition including all ranges and subranges therebetween.
  16. A shampoo product comprising the composition according to any one of the preceding claims.
  17. Use of the composition according to any one of claims 1 to 15 in cleansing keratin fibers.
