Abstract
The invention relates to a system of hanging electromagnetic trains electronically controlled to transport Mecca pilgrims. The trains are sterilised against viruses, are made from transparent polycarbonate, are reinforced with carbon fibre mesh and are safe against collisions and disasters. The trains travel on a steel track composed of seven helical loops, moving from the bottom to the top during the rite of circumambulation (tawaf) and from the top to the bottom during the rite of running (saʻy), dropping off the pilgrims in Mina. The capacity of the system is 170 trains every 18 minutes. Both sides of the train open completely. The trains carry the pilgrims from a sterilised station designed to transport half a million pilgrims every 50 minutes, including persons with specific needs among others, the station being equipped with smart, electronic and optical means and conveyor belts sliding upwards to the travelling speed from the station, where electric buses are used to transport pilgrims.
