Abstract

波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続され、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行うとともに、予め決められた期間に親の通信装置から送信される制御信号が受信されない場合、親の通信装置が正常に動作していないと判定された波長を故障波長として、スケジューラ部に故障波長のデータの送信中止を指令するとともに、故障波長のバッファに蓄積されているデータを他の波長で送信するようにスケジューラ部に指令し、故障波長のバッファへの新たなデータの振り分けを中止する。これにより、故障波長のデータの送信遅延を低減することができる。

Description

通信装置、通信方法、通信システムおよび通信プログラム
 本発明は、通信システムを構成する波長多重された光リングネットワークにおいて、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行う技術に関する。
 従来の光リングネットワークシステムは、光リングネットワークに接続される複数の光伝送装置のそれぞれに予め割り当てられた波長の光信号をOADM(Optical add-drop multiplexer)技術により多重して通信を行っている(例えば非特許文献1参照)。
 一方、OADMではなく、時分割多重により光信号を伝送するバースト光リングネットワーク技術が知られている。この技術では、光リングネットワークに接続される複数の光伝送装置のうち、1台の光伝送装置が親装置、他の光伝送装置が子装置、としてそれぞれ動作する。親装置は、割当信号と探索信号を送信することにより、自装置を含む子装置のデータ送信タイミングの制御と新たに光リングネットワークに接続される子装置の登録とを行う。このようにして、光リングネットワークに接続される複数の光伝送装置は、バースト光リングネットワーク技術により、光信号を時分割多重して通信することができる。
 ここで、バースト光リングネットワーク技術において、親装置が故障などで正常に動作できない場合、子装置が親装置の故障を検知して、新たな親装置として動作を開始することにより、システム運用を継続する方法が考えられる。

 ところが、親装置の故障を検知した後、子装置が新たな親装置として動作を開始するまでの期間、送信されないデータが子装置のバッファに蓄積されるため、送信遅延が生じるという問題がある。
 本発明は、波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続され、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行う複数の光伝送装置を制御する親装置が正常に動作できない場合に、子装置が新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間の送信遅延を低減することができる通信装置、通信方法、通信システムおよび通信プログラムを提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の通信装置は、波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続され、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行うとともに、親の通信装置から送信される制御信号を受信する通信部と、予め決められた期間に前記制御信号が受信されない場合、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないことを波長ごとに判定する判定部と、送信するデータを波長ごとのバッファに振り分ける振り分け部と、波長ごとの前記バッファに蓄積されたデータを予め決められたスケジュールに従って波長ごとに送信するスケジューラ部と、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないと判定された波長を故障波長として、前記スケジューラ部に前記故障波長のデータの送信中止を指令するとともに、前記故障波長の前記バッファに蓄積されているデータを他の波長で送信するように前記スケジューラ部に指令するスケジューラ制御部と、前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分けを中止する振り分け制御部とを有することを特徴とする。
 また、本発明は、波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続される複数の通信装置のうち、1台を親の通信装置、その他を子の通信装置として、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行う通信システムで用いる通信方法であって、前記親の通信装置は、複数の前記子の通信装置に制御信号を送信し、前記子の通信装置は、予め決められた期間に前記親の通信装置から前記制御信号が受信されない場合、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないことを波長ごとに判定し、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないと判定された波長を故障波長として、前記故障波長のデータの送信を制御するスケジューラ部に対してデータの送信中止を指令し、前記故障波長のバッファに蓄積されているデータがある場合、前記故障波長の前記バッファに蓄積されているデータを他の波長で送信するように前記スケジューラ部に指令し、前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分けを中止することを特徴とする。
 また、本発明は、波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続される複数の通信装置のうち、1台を親の通信装置、その他を子の通信装置として、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行う通信システムにおいて、前記親の通信装置は、複数の前記子の通信装置に制御信号を送信し、前記子の通信装置は、予め決められた期間に前記親の通信装置から前記制御信号が受信されない場合、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないことを波長ごとに判定し、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないと判定された波長を故障波長として、前記故障波長のデータの送信を制御するスケジューラ部に対してデータの送信中止を指令し、前記故障波長のバッファに蓄積されているデータがある場合、前記故障波長の前記バッファに蓄積されているデータを他の波長で送信するように前記スケジューラ部に指令し、前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分けを中止することを特徴とする。
 また、本発明の通信プログラムは、前記通信装置の前記判定部、前記スケジューラ制御部および前記振り分け制御部が行う処理をコンピュータもしくは集積回路に実行させることを特徴とする。
 本発明に係る通信装置、通信方法、通信システムおよび通信プログラムは、波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続され、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行う複数の光伝送装置を制御する親装置が正常に動作できない場合に、子装置が新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間の送信遅延を低減することができる。

 以下、図面を参照して本発明に係る通信装置、通信方法、通信システムおよび通信プログラムの実施形態について説明する。なお、実施形態では、複数の光伝送装置(通信装置に対応)が光リングネットワークで接続される光リングネットワークシステム(通信システムに対応)について説明する。
 図1は、実施形態に係る光リングネットワークシステム100の一例を示す。
 図1の例では、光伝送装置101-A、光伝送装置101-B、光伝送装置101-Cおよび光伝送装置101-Dが、光ファイバで構成されるリング型のネットワーク(光リングネットワーク102)で接続されている。
 ここで、光伝送装置101-A、光伝送装置101-B、光伝送装置101-Cおよび光伝送装置101-Dに共通する説明を行う場合は、符号末尾のアルファベットを省略して光伝送装置101と記載する。複数の光伝送装置101のうち、特定の装置を指す場合は、符号末尾にアルファベットを付加して、例えば光伝送装置101-Aと記載する。外部NW(NetWork)103-A、外部NW103-B、外部NW103-Cおよび外部NW103-Dについても同様に記載する。
 各光伝送装置101には、外部NW103がそれぞれ接続され、光リングネットワーク102を介して、これらの外部NW103間での通信が可能である。ここで、外部NW103から受信するデータは、波長多重される複数の波長の光信号に振り分けられ、通信先の光伝送装置101に送信される。
 外部NW103は、上述の光リングネットワークシステムに接続されるNWであり、NW装置などが接続される。
 ここで、実施形態に係る光リングネットワークシステム100は、光信号を波長多重して通信を行う。例えば、図1では、λ1-nのn個(nは正の整数)の波長の光信号が波長多重されている。
 さらに、光リングネットワークシステム100は、バースト光リングネットワーク技術を用いる。これにより、複数の光伝送装置101は、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重(光TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access))して、光リングネットワーク102上で通信を行う。
 図1において、複数の光伝送装置101のうち、1台の光伝送装置101が親装置(親の通信装置に対応)、他の光伝送装置101が子装置(子の通信装置に対応)として動作する。親装置は、波長ごとに全装置の光信号の送信タイミングなどを制御する。ここで、初期状態における親装置は予め決められており、例えば光伝送装置101-Aが親装置である場合、光伝送装置101-B、光伝送装置101-Cおよび光伝送装置101-Dは子装置となる。
 親装置の光伝送装置101は、自装置を含む全ての光伝送装置101の光信号の送信タイミングを決定し、子装置の光伝送装置101に対して、光信号の送信タイミングを割り当てるための制御信号(割当信号)を送信する。また、親装置の光伝送装置101は、子装置の光伝送装置101が新たに光リングネットワーク102に接続されたか否かを検出するための制御信号(探索信号)を送信する。なお、光信号を送信するごとに送信タイミングを割り当てる必要があり、割当信号は定期的に送信される。また、探索信号は、定期的に送信されてもよいし、不定期に送信されてもよい。
 ここで、割当信号は、光信号の送信タイミングを割り当てるための情報を有する。例えば割当信号は、割り当て対象の光伝送装置101を区別するための装置識別子、光信号の送信を開始する時刻を示す送信開始時刻、光信号を送信している時間を示す送信時間(送信継続時間)などの情報を含む。探索信号は、新たに接続された光伝送装置101が親装置に登録を要求するための登録要求信号の送信を開始する時刻を示す送信開始時刻、登録要求信号を送信している時間を示す送信時間などの情報を含む。
 子装置の光伝送装置101は、親装置から受信する割当信号により割り当てられた送信タイミングで光信号を送信する。また、子装置の光伝送装置101は、新たに光リングネットワーク102に接続する場合、親装置から受信する探索信号に基づいて、登録要求信号を親装置に送信する。これにより、新たに光リングネットワーク102に接続された子装置の光伝送装置101は、親装置に登録することができる。そして、登録された子装置の光伝送装置101は、親装置から受信する割当信号により割り当てられた送信タイミングで光信号を送信することができる。
 このように、親装置として機能する光伝送装置101は、波長ごとに自装置を含む全ての光伝送装置101が光信号を送信するタイミングの制御および新規接続時の登録などを行う。ここで、実施形態では、全ての波長において同じ光伝送装置101が親装置として機能するものとして説明するが、波長ごとに異なる光伝送装置101が親装置として機能するようにしてもよい。あるいは、いくつかの波長をグループ化して、グループごとに異なる光伝送装置101が親装置として機能するようにしてもよい。
 ここで、図1に示す光リングネットワークシステム100において、親装置が故障などで正常に動作できない場合、割当信号および探索信号の送信が行われないため、システム運用が継続できないという問題がある。そこで、実施形態に係る光伝送装置101は、親装置の光伝送装置101が正常に動作できない場合に、子装置の光伝送装置101が親装置として動作することにより、システム運用を継続できる機能を有する。
 なお、上述の処理は波長ごとに行われるので、親装置が特定の波長(故障波長と称する)で正常に動作できない場合、子装置が親装置に代わって動作するまでの期間に、故障波長でのデータが送信されず、バッファに蓄積されたデータの送信遅延が発生する。このため、実施形態に係る光リングネットワークシステム100は、子装置が親装置に代わって動作するまでの期間、故障波長のデータを他の波長で送信する機能を有する。なお、親装置における故障波長以外の他の波長は、正常に動作しているものとする。あるいは、複数の波長に対して一つの同じ親装置が設定されるのではなく、波長ごとに異なる親装置が設定されてもよい。これにより、ある波長の親装置が故障した場合でも他の波長の親装置による送信が可能である。
 (光伝送装置101の構成例)
 図1で説明した4つの光伝送装置101は、親装置と子装置の両方の機能を有し、いずれか一方を選択して親装置または子装置として動作する。例えば親装置の機能が選択された場合は、光伝送装置101-Aは親装置として動作し、子装置の機能が選択された場合は、光伝送装置101-Aは子装置として動作する。
 ここで、以降の説明では、光伝送装置101-Aが親装置、光伝送装置101-B、光伝送装置101-Cおよび光伝送装置101-Dが子装置として運用中であるものとする。そして、親装置として動作する光伝送装置101-Aの故障により、特定波長の通信が正常に行えない状態になった場合を想定する。
 図2は、子装置として動作する図1に示す光伝送装置101-Bの構成例を示す。なお、光伝送装置101-Bと同じ子装置として動作する光伝送装置101-Cおよび光伝送装置101-Dは、光伝送装置101-Bと同様に動作する。
 図2において、光伝送装置101-Bは、レイヤ1処理部(L1部)201、レイヤ2処理部(L2部)202、スイッチ部(SW部)203、光送信部(B-Tx部)204、光受信部(B-Rx部)205、光カプラ206、光カプラ207、判定部209、スケジューラ制御部220および振分制御部221を有する。
 L1部201は、OSI参照モデル第1層(物理層)を処理する機能を有する。
 L2部202は、OSI参照モデル第2層(データリンク層)を処理する機能を有する。実施形態では、L2部202は、後述の信号検知部211を有し、信号検知部211は、光リングネットワーク102から受信する光信号から割当信号または探索信号を検知する。また、L2部202は、親装置と子装置の両方の機能を有し、後述の判定部209の指令に基づいて、いずれかの機能で動作する。親装置の場合は、送信タイミングの制御および未登録の光伝送装置101の検知・登録を行う。子装置の場合は、親装置から指示された送信開始時刻および送信時間に従い、B-Tx部204から送信する光信号の送信タイミングを制御するとともに、親装置から探索信号を受信して登録を行う。なお、上述の処理は、波長ごとに行われる。
 SW部203は、外部NW103-Bに接続されるL2-SWなどの電気パケットスイッチであり、予め設定されたルールに従い、L2部202と外部NW103-Bとの間のパケット転送を処理する機能を有する。実施形態では、SW部203は、スケジューラ部251、バッファ部252および振り分け部253を有する。
 スケジューラ部251は、波長ごとにスケジューラ261を有する。スケジューラ261は、予め指定されたスケジュールの送信タイミングで、波長ごとのバッファ262に蓄積されたデータをB-Tx部204から送信する。例えば、波長λ1での送信はスケジューラ261(1)、波長λ2での送信はスケジューラ261(2)がそれぞれ対応する。なお、実施形態では、スケジューラ261は、担当する波長以外のバッファ262に蓄積されたデータを読み出して、担当する波長で送信する機能を有する。例えば、スケジューラ制御部220の指令により、バッファ部252の故障波長λ2のバッファ262(2)に蓄積されているデータを故障していない他の波長λ1のスケジューラ261(1)が読み出して送信することができる。
 バッファ部252は、振り分け部253から受け取るデータを蓄積し、スケジューラ部251の指令によりデータの送信を行う。なお、バッファ部252は、使用する波長ごとにバッファ262を有する。例えば、波長λ1はバッファ262(1)、波長λ2はバッファ262(2)がそれぞれ対応する。なお、実施形態では、バッファ262に蓄積されている各波長のデータは、スケジューラ部251のどの波長のスケジューラ261からでも送信可能である。例えば、図2の点線で示すように、波長λ1のバッファ262(1)に蓄積されているデータは、波長λ2のスケジューラ261(2)で読み出して送信することができる。同様に、波長λ2のバッファ262(2)に蓄積されているデータは、波長λ1のスケジューラ261(1)で読み出して送信することができる。不図示の他の波長についても同様である。
 振り分け部253は、外部NW103-Bから入力する送信データをバッファ部252の波長ごとのバッファ262に振り分ける。実施形態では、振り分け部253は、振分制御部221の指令により、外部NW103-Bから入力する送信データをバッファ部252の故障波長のバッファ262に振り分けないようにすることができる。
 B-Tx部204は、光信号を断続的に出力する送信部で、光カプラを介して光ファイバに対して、L1部201から転送された信号を光信号としてバースト的に送信する。また、B-Tx部204は、複数の波長ごとに送信部(Tx)を有する。例えば波長λ1のTx204(1)、波長λ2のTx204(2)、・・・、波長λnのTx204(n)(不図示)を有する。具体的には、例えばTx204(1)は、L1部201から転送された信号を波長λ1の光信号としてバースト的に送信する。
 B-Rx部205は、断続的な光信号を受信する受信部で、光カプラを介して、光ファイバから光信号をバースト的に受信し、L1部201に信号を転送する。また、B-Rx部205は、複数の波長ごとに受信部(Rx)を有する。例えば波長λ1のRx205(1)、波長λ2のRx205(2)、・・・、波長λnのRx205(n)(不図示)を有する。例えばRx205(1)は、光ファイバから光信号をバースト的に受信し、L1部201に信号を転送する。ここで、先に説明したB-Tx部204およびB-Rx部205は、通信部に対応する。
 光カプラ206および光カプラ207は、入力される光信号のパワーを分岐する機能を有する。
 判定部209は、L2部202の信号検知部211から割当信号または探索信号の受信状況の通知を受け、親装置の光伝送装置101が正常に動作しているか否かを判定する。例えば、判定部209は、予め決められた期間に親装置から送信される割当信号または探索信号が受信されない場合、親装置が正常に動作していないと判定する。なお、判定は、波長ごとに行われる。そして、判定部209は、親装置が故障などで正常に動作していないと判定した場合、自装置が親装置として動作すべきか否かを判断する。そして、判定部209は、自装置が親装置として動作するか、自装置が子装置として動作するかをL2部202に指示する。ここで、自装置が親装置として動作すべきか否かの判断は、光リングネットワーク102に接続される全ての子装置において並行して行われている。なお、複数の子装置が同時に親装置として動作しないように排他的に処理され、複数の子装置から選択された1台の子装置が親装置になる。
 信号検知部211は、光リングネットワーク102から受信する割当信号または探索信号を波長ごとに検知する。そして、信号検知部211は、割当信号または探索信号の受信状況を判定部209に通知する。ここで、割当信号または探索信号に関する情報には、装置識別子、送信開始時刻、送信時間などの情報が含まれている。また、受信状況は、例えば、割当信号または探索信号の受信の有無や受信時刻などの情報である。なお、判定部209は、これらの情報に基づいて、複数の子装置から新たな親装置として動作すべき1台の子装置を選択し、自装置が選択された場合は、L2部202の動作を親装置に切り替えて、自装置を親装置として動作させる。
 スケジューラ制御部220は、判定部209により親装置が故障したと判定された場合、スケジューラ部251に対して故障波長のデータ送信の中止を指令する(送信中止)。そして、スケジューラ制御部220は、バッファ部252の故障波長のバッファ262のバッファ量が0になるまで、他の波長のスケジューラ261に故障波長のバッファ262に蓄積されているデータを送信するように指令する。また、スケジューラ制御部220は、判定部209により親装置への切り替え完了が通知された場合、スケジューラ部251に対して故障波長のデータ送信の再開を指令する(送信再開)。
 振分制御部221は、判定部209により親装置が故障したと判定された場合、バッファ部252の故障波長のバッファ262へのデータの振り分けを中止するように、振り分け部253に指令する。また、振分制御部221は、判定部209により親装置への切り替え完了が通知された場合、バッファ部252の故障波長のバッファ262へのデータの振り分けを再開するように、振り分け部253に指令する。
 このように、実施形態に係る光伝送装置101は、正常に動作できない親装置の代わりに子装置が新たな親装置として動作を開始するまでの期間、故障波長のデータの送信と故障波長のバッファ262へのデータの振り分けを中止するとともに、故障波長のバッファ262に蓄積されたデータを他の波長で送信することにより、送信遅延を低減することができる。
 (親装置の故障判定時の処理)
 図3は、親装置が故障などで正常に動作できないときの処理例を示す。ここで、図3は、光伝送装置101が子装置として動作している場合の処理であり、図2で説明した光伝送装置101-Bの主に信号検知部211、判定部209、スケジューラ制御部220および振分制御部221により実行される。なお、図3で説明する処理に対応するプログラムをコンピュータもしくはFPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)などの集積回路で実行するようにしてもよい。また、プログラムは、記憶媒体に記録して提供されてもよいし、ネットワークを通して提供されてもよい。
 ステップS101において、子装置として動作中の光伝送装置101は、親装置が故障などで正常に動作できないときの処理を開始する。
 ステップS102において、判定部209は、親装置が故障などで正常に動作していないか否かを判定する(故障判定)。例えば、判定部209は、予め決められた期間に親装置から割当信号または探索信号を受信しなかった場合、親装置が故障であると判定する。親装置が故障と判定された場合(Y)は、ステップS103の処理に進み、親装置が故障ではない場合(N)は、ステップS102の処理を繰り返し実行する。
 ステップS103において、スケジューラ制御部220は、スケジューラ部251の故障波長のスケジューラ261にスケジューリングの中止を指令する。また、振分制御部221は、外部NW103から入力する送信データをバッファ部252に振り分けるときに、故障波長のバッファ262への振り分けを中止する。例えば故障波長が波長λ2である場合、スケジューラ制御部220は、スケジューラ部251のスケジューラ261(2)にスケジューリングの中止を指令する。また、故障波長が波長λ2である場合、振分制御部221は、バッファ部252のバッファ262(2)への送信データの振り分けを中止する。
 ステップS104において、スケジューラ制御部220は、故障波長とは異なる他の波長のスケジューラ261に指令して、故障波長のバッファ262からデータを送信させる。例えば故障波長が波長λ2である場合、スケジューラ制御部220は、スケジューラ部251のスケジューラ261(1)に指令して、故障波長のバッファ262(2)に蓄積されたデータを波長λ1で送信させる。
 ステップS105において、スケジューラ制御部220は、故障波長のバッファ量が0であるか否かを判別する。故障波長のバッファ量=0である場合(Y)は、ステップS106の処理に進み、故障波長のバッファ量=0でない場合(N)は、ステップS104の処理に戻る。
 ステップS106において、判定部209は、故障した親装置の代わりに自装置または他の子装置が親装置への切り替えを完了したか否かを判別する。親装置への切替完了である場合(Y)は、ステップS107の処理に進み、親装置への切替完了でない場合(N)は、ステップS106の処理を繰り返す。ここで、親装置への切り替えが完了したか否かは、例えば故障波長において、親装置から割当信号または探索信号を再び受信できるようになったか否かにより判別できる。
 ステップS107において、スケジューラ制御部220は、故障波長のスケジューラ261にスケジューリングの再開を指令する。また、振分制御部221は、振り分け部253に故障波長のバッファ262への振り分けの再開を指令する。例えば故障波長が波長λ2である場合、スケジューラ制御部220は、スケジューラ部251のスケジューラ261(2)にスケジューリングの再開を指令する。また、振分制御部221は、振り分け部253にバッファ262(2)への送信データの振り分けの再開を指令する。
 ステップS108において、親装置が故障などで正常に動作できないときの処理を終了する。
 このように、実施形態に係る光伝送装置101は、正常に動作できない親装置の代わりに子装置が新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間、故障波長のデータの送信と故障波長のバッファ262へのデータの振り分けを中止するとともに、故障波長のバッファ262に蓄積されたデータを他の波長で送信することにより、送信遅延を低減することができる。
 [比較例]
 図4は、比較例の光リングネットワークシステム800を示す。なお、図4において、図1と同符号のブロックは図1と同様に動作する。
 図4の比較例では、光伝送装置801-A、光伝送装置801-B、光伝送装置801-Cおよび光伝送装置801-Dが、光リングネットワーク102で接続されている。
 図4の比較例の光リングネットワークシステム800と、図1の実施形態に係る光リングネットワークシステム100との違いは、4つの光伝送装置801の機能である。比較例の光伝送装置801は、実施形態に係る光伝送装置101と同様に、親装置または子装置として動作可能であり、正常に動作できない親装置の代わりに子装置が新たな親装置として動作する機能を有する。しかし、比較例の光伝送装置801は、子装置が新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間、故障波長のデータの送信が行われないので、送信遅延が発生するという問題がある。
 図5は、図4に示す子装置として動作する比較例の光伝送装置801-Bの構成例を示す。なお、光伝送装置801-Cおよび光伝送装置801-Dについても光伝送装置801-Bと同様に動作する。ここで、図4において、光伝送装置801-Aが親装置、光伝送装置801-B、光伝送装置801-Cおよび光伝送装置801-Dが子装置として運用中であるものとする。そして、親装置の光伝送装置801-Aの故障により、特定の波長の通信が正常に行えない状態になった場合を想定する。ここで、図5の比較例の光伝送装置801-Bは、図2の実施形態に係る光伝送装置101-Bと同様に、正常に動作できない親装置の代わりに子装置が新たな親装置として動作する機能を有する。
 図5において、光伝送装置801-Bは、L1部901、L2部902、B-Tx部904、B-Rx部905、光カプラ906、光カプラ907、判定部909および信号検知部911を有する。ここで、光伝送装置801-Bの基本的な機能は、図2で説明した実施形態に係る光伝送装置101-BのL1部201、L2部202、B-Tx部204、B-Rx部205、光カプラ206、光カプラ207、判定部209および信号検知部211と同じである。但し、比較例のSW部903の動作が図2の実施形態のSW部203と異なる。
 SW部903では、振り分け部953により波長ごとのバッファ962に振り分けられたデータは、各波長のスケジューラ961により送信される。これに対して、図2の実施形態に係るSW部203では、振り分け部253により波長ごとのバッファ262に振り分けられたデータは、スケジューラ制御部220の指令に基づいて、他の波長のスケジューラ261により送信可能である。
 比較例の光伝送装置801のSW部903は、スケジューラ部951、バッファ部952および振り分け部953を有する。
 スケジューラ部951は、予め決められたスケジュールに従って、波長ごとにバッファ部952のバッファ962に蓄積されたデータを送信する。このため、正常に動作できない親装置の代わりに子装置が新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間、故障波長のバッファ962に蓄積されたデータの送信ができなくなる。
 振り分け部953は、外部NW103-Bから入力する送信データをバッファ部952の波長ごとのバッファ962に振り分ける。このため、正常に動作できない親装置の代わりに子装置が新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間、故障波長のバッファ962にデータが蓄積され続ける。
 このように、比較例の光伝送装置801は、子装置が新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間、故障波長のデータの送信が行われず、データがバッファ962に蓄積され続けるので、故障波長のデータに送信遅延が発生するという問題がある。
 これに対して、図2および図3で説明した実施形態に係る光伝送装置101は、正常に動作できない親装置の代わりに子装置が新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間、故障波長のデータの送信と故障波長のバッファ262へのデータの振り分けを中止する。さらに、実施形態に係る光伝送装置101は、故障波長のバッファ262に蓄積されたデータを他の波長で送信する。これにより、図1の実施形態に係る光リングネットワークシステム100は、故障波長におけるデータの送信遅延を低減することができる。
 以上のように、本発明に係る通信装置、通信方法、通信システムおよび通信プログラムは、波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続される親装置と子装置とからなる複数の光伝送装置が波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行うシステムに適用される。そして、子装置の光伝送装置は、正常に動作できない親装置の代わりに新たな親装置として動作するまでの期間、故障波長のバッファに蓄積された送信データを他の波長で送信することにより、送信遅延を低減することができる。

Claims (7)

  1.  波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続され、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行うとともに、親の通信装置から送信される制御信号を受信する通信部と、
     予め決められた期間に前記制御信号が受信されない場合、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないことを波長ごとに判定する判定部と、
     送信するデータを波長ごとのバッファに振り分ける振り分け部と、
     波長ごとの前記バッファに蓄積されたデータを予め決められたスケジュールに従って波長ごとに送信するスケジューラ部と、
     前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないと判定された波長を故障波長として、前記スケジューラ部に前記故障波長のデータの送信中止を指令するとともに、前記故障波長の前記バッファに蓄積されているデータを他の波長で送信するように前記スケジューラ部に指令するスケジューラ制御部と、
     前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分けを中止する振り分け制御部と
     を有することを特徴とする通信装置。
  2.  請求項1に記載の通信装置において、
     前記判定部は、正常に動作していない前記親の通信装置の代わりに自装置を含む他の通信装置のいずれかが新たな親の通信装置として動作を開始したことを判定し、
     前記スケジューラ制御部は、前記スケジューラ部に前記故障波長のデータの送信再開を指令し、
     前記振り分け制御部は、前記振り分け部に前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分け再開を指令する
     ことを特徴とする通信装置。
  3.  波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続される複数の通信装置のうち、1台を親の通信装置、その他を子の通信装置として、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行う通信システムで用いる通信方法であって、
     前記親の通信装置は、
     複数の前記子の通信装置に制御信号を送信し、
     前記子の通信装置は、
     予め決められた期間に前記親の通信装置から前記制御信号が受信されない場合、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないことを波長ごとに判定し、
     前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないと判定された波長を故障波長として、前記故障波長のデータの送信を制御するスケジューラ部に対してデータの送信中止を指令し、
     前記故障波長のバッファに蓄積されているデータがある場合、前記故障波長の前記バッファに蓄積されているデータを他の波長で送信するように前記スケジューラ部に指令し、前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分けを中止する
     ことを特徴とする通信方法。
  4.  請求項3に記載の通信方法において、
     前記子の通信装置は、
     正常に動作していない前記親の通信装置の代わりに自装置を含む他の通信装置のいずれかが新たな親の通信装置として動作を開始したことを判定し、
     前記故障波長の前記スケジューラ部に前記故障波長のデータの送信再開を指令し、
     前記振り分け部に前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分け再開を指令する
     ことを特徴とする通信方法。
  5.  波長多重された光リングネットワークに接続される複数の通信装置のうち、1台を親の通信装置、その他を子の通信装置として、波長ごとに光信号を時分割多重して通信を行う通信システムにおいて、
     前記親の通信装置は、
     複数の前記子の通信装置に制御信号を送信し、
     前記子の通信装置は、
     予め決められた期間に前記親の通信装置から前記制御信号が受信されない場合、前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないことを波長ごとに判定し、
     前記親の通信装置が正常に動作していないと判定された波長を故障波長として、前記故障波長のデータの送信を制御するスケジューラ部に対してデータの送信中止を指令し、
     前記故障波長のバッファに蓄積されているデータがある場合、前記故障波長の前記バッファに蓄積されているデータを他の波長で送信するように前記スケジューラ部に指令し、前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分けを中止する
     ことを特徴とする通信システム。
  6.  請求項5に記載の通信システムにおいて、
     前記子の通信装置は、
     正常に動作していない前記親の通信装置の代わりに自装置を含む他の通信装置のいずれかが新たな親の通信装置として動作を開始したことを判定し、
     前記故障波長の前記スケジューラ部に前記故障波長のデータの送信再開を指令し、
     前記振り分け部に前記故障波長の前記バッファへの新たなデータの振り分け再開を指令する
     ことを特徴とする通信システム。
  7.  請求項1または請求項2に記載の前記通信装置の前記判定部、前記スケジューラ制御部および前記振り分け制御部が行う処理をコンピュータもしくは集積回路に実行させることを特徴とする通信プログラム。
