Description
<1.浄水器の概要>
以下、本発明に係る浄水器用カートリッジ及びこれが取り付けられる容器を有する浄水器の一実施形態について、図面を参照しつつ説明する。図1は本実施形態に係る浄水器の一部が切り欠かれた斜視図である。図1に示すように、この浄水器は、容器(タンブラー)1と、その内部に収容されるカートリッジ2とを備えている。以下、これらについて詳細に説明する。
図1に示すように、容器1は、上部に開口を有し、水を貯める貯水部11と、この貯水部11の上部開口を閉じる蓋体12と、を備えている。貯水部11は、上部が開放する円筒状に形成されている。
次に、カートリッジ2について、図3及び図4を参照しつつ説明する。図3はカートリッジを上から見た斜視図、図4はカートリッジを下から見た斜視図である。図3及び図4に示すように、このカートリッジ2は、円筒状の内筒3と、この内筒3が嵌め込まれる円筒状の外筒4と、内筒3と外筒4の間に配置されるフィルター部材5とを備えており、内筒3の上端部が、容器1の蓋体12に着脱自在に取り付けられるようになっている。以下、各部材について詳細に説明する。
図5は内筒を上から見た斜視図である。図5に示すように、内筒3は、上部及び下部が開放される円筒状の周壁部31と、この周壁部31の上端から径方向外方へ延びる平面視円形状のフランジ部32と、を備えている。周壁部31には、複数の矩形状の貫通孔311が形成されており、この貫通孔311を介して内筒3の外部と内部空間とが連通している。フランジ部32の外周面には周方向の全体亘って凹部(図示省略)が形成されており、この凹部に環状のOリング33が嵌め込まれている。後述するように、このカートリッジ2は、フランジ部32の外周面が、蓋体12の取付部121の内周面に着脱自在に固定されるようになっている。このとき、Oリング33がフランジ部32の外周面と取付部121の内周面との間に配置されることで、両者が液密に固定される。また、フランジ部32の上面の一部には、円弧状の窪み321が形成されている。なお、内筒3を形成する材料は特には限定されないが、例えば、樹脂材料、金属など種々の材料で形成することができる。この点は、外筒4や容器1についても同様である。
図6は外筒を上から見た斜視図、図7は外筒を下から見た斜視図である。図6及び図7に示すように、外筒4は、円筒状の周壁部41と、周壁部41の下部を塞ぐ閉鎖部42と、を備えており、周壁部41の上部は開放されている。周壁部41の内径は、内筒3の周壁部31の外径よりもやや大きくなっており、この隙間にフィルター部材5が配置される。但し、外筒4の周壁部41の外径は、内筒3のフランジ部32の外径よりも小さくなっているため、カートリッジ2が容器1に取り付けられたときには、外筒4の周壁部41と貯水部11の内周面との間には隙間が形成される。したがって、貯水部11の水は、この隙間から外筒4の内部へ流入するようになっている。また、この周壁部41の上下方向の長さは、内筒3の周壁部31の上下方向の長さとほぼ同じである。
フィルター部材5は、シート状のフェルトによって形成されており、上記のように、内筒3と外筒4との間に配置される。なお、本発明において、フェルトとは不織布のことを示し、例えば、ニードルパンチ不織布、湿式抄紙不織布等が挙げられる。この点は後述する第2実施形態でも同じである。また、フィルター部材5の厚さは、例えば、1~5mmであることが好ましく、2~4mmであることがさらに好ましい。また、フィルター部材5の見かけ密度としては、例えば、0.05~0.25g/cm3が挙げられ、0.05~0.15g/cm3が好ましく挙げられる。
次に、カートリッジの組立について、図10も参照しつつ説明する。図10はカートリッジの平面図である。まず、図8に示すように、フィルター部材5を内筒3の周壁部31に巻き付け、その周方向の一端部と他端部とを重ね、この重なり部分51を接着剤や熱融着などで固定する。次に、フィルター部材5を取り付けた内筒3を外筒4に嵌め込む。この過程において、図10に示すように、内筒3のフランジ部32の窪み321と、外筒4の空気孔421とが内筒3の軸線Lを挟んで互いに反対に位置するように調整する。こうして、カートリッジの組み立てが完了する。
次に、上記のように構成された浄水器の使用方法について説明する。まず、カートリッジ2のフランジ部32を、蓋体12の取付部121の内周面に嵌め込む。このとき、フランジ部32の窪み321が、蓋体12の飲み口123と同じ側に配置されるように、周方向の位置決めを行う。こうして、カートリッジ2が蓋体12に取り付けられると、カートリッジ2の内筒3の内部空間は、蓋体12の蓋本体122に液密に閉じられるため、閉空間が形成される。
以上のように、本実施形態に係る浄水器によれば、次の効果を得ることができる。
(1) 本実施形態においては、カートリッジ2が円筒状の内筒3と外筒4とを有し、これらの周壁部31,41の間にシート状のフィルター部材5が取り付けられている。すなわち、フィルター部材5を円筒状に形成しているため、フィルター部材5において水が通過する表面積を大きくすることができる。これにより、濾過速度が早くなり、且つフィルター部材5の寿命を長くすることができる。特に、カートリッジ2の外径を大きくすれば、フィルター部材5の表面積を大きくできるため、濾過速度がさらに早くなるとともに、フィルター部材5の寿命をさらに長くすることができる。
以上、本発明の第1実施形態について説明したが、本発明は第1実施形態に限定されるものではなく、その趣旨を逸脱しない限りにおいて、種々の変形が可能である。なお、以下の変形例は、適宜組み合わせることができる。
<1.浄水器の概要>
以下、本発明に係る浄水部材及びこれが取り付けられる貯水部を有する浄水器の一実施形態について、図面を参照しつつ説明する。図12は本実施形態に係る浄水器の一部が切り欠かれた斜視図、図13は図12の分解斜視図である。図12に示すように、この浄水器は、タンブラー状の貯水部6と、これに取り付けられる浄水部材70と、を備えている。以下、これらについて詳細に説明する。
図13に示すように、貯水部6は、水を貯めるように、円筒状の外壁部61と、この外壁部61の下端部を塞ぐ底壁部62と、を有しており、上部が開放している。そして、外壁部61の上端部には、次に説明する浄水部材70の蓋体7を取り付けるための雄ネジ63が形成されている。
図12及び図13に示すように、浄水部材70は、貯水部6の上部開口を着脱自在に塞ぐ蓋体7と、この蓋体7の下側に取り付けられる支持体8と、この支持体8に着脱自在に取り付けられるフィルター部材9と、を備えている。以下、これらについて詳細に説明する。
図14は蓋体の平面図、図15は図14の断面図である。図12~図15に示すように、蓋体7は、円筒状の取付部71と、この取付部71の上部を塞ぐ円板状の蓋本体72と、を有している。取付部71は、貯水部6の上部開口に着脱自在に取り付けられるようになっている。そのため、取付部71の内壁面には、貯水部6の雄ネジ63と螺合する雌ネジ711が形成されている。蓋本体72の下面において、貯水部6の外壁部61の上端面と接する部分には、周方向の全体に亘って環状のOリング725が取り付けられており、このOリング725によって、蓋体7と貯水部6とが液密に固定される。なお、取付部71と貯水部6との固定方法は、着脱自在であれば、特には限定されず、ネジ式以外の種々の態様にすることができる。
図16は支持体の平面図、図17は図16の断面図である。図13,図16及び図17に示すように、支持体8は、円筒状の周壁部81と、周壁部81の下部を塞ぐ閉鎖部82と、を備えており、周壁部81の上部は開放されている。周壁部81には、複数の矩形状の貫通孔811が形成されており、この貫通孔811を介して支持体8の外部と内部空間とが連通している。また、周壁部81の上端には、周方向に90度おきに4つの係合部83が形成されており、これらは上述した蓋体7の突出部722に係合するようになっている。各係合部83は、上方に延びる第1部位831と、第1部位831から径方向外方に突出する第2部位832と、を備えている。
フィルター部材9は、軸方向の上端及び下端が開放された円筒状に形成されており、シート状のフェルトを複数層に亘って積層することで形成されている。このフィルター部材9の内径は、支持体8の係合部83の外径よりも大きく、フィルター部材9の外径は、支持体8のフランジ部822の外径よりも小さくなっている。フィルター部材9の厚さは、例えば、3~12mmであることが好ましく、5~9mmであることがさらに好ましい。また、フィルター部材5の見かけ密度としては、例えば、0.10~0.40g/cm3が挙げられ、0.10~0.20g/cm3が好ましく挙げられる。
次に、浄水部材の組み立て方法について、説明する。まず、図18に示すように、フィルター部材9の内部空間に支持体8の周壁部81を挿通し、フランジ部822によってフィルター部材9の下端部を支持する。
次に、上記のように構成された浄水器の使用方法について説明する。まず、貯水部6に水を貯めた後、図12に示すように、貯水部6に浄水部材70を取り付ける。そして、浄水器内の水を排出するときに、図22に示すように、排出口721が下側を向くように浄水器を傾ける。
以上のように、本実施形態に係る浄水器によれば、次の効果を得ることができる。
(1) 本実施形態においては、第1実施形態の効果の項で示した(1)~(3)と同様の効果を得ることができる。

筒状に形成された周壁部と、前記周壁部の軸方向の一端部を閉じ空気孔が形成された閉鎖部と、有し、前記周壁部において、前記軸方向の他端部が開放されている支持体と、
前記支持体において、前記周壁部に沿うように支持される、フィルター部材と、
を備え、
前記支持体が前記容器に着脱自在に取り付けられるように構成され、
前記支持体が前記容器に取り付けられたとき、前記支持体の内部空間と前記蓋部との間に閉空間が形成されるように構成され、前記フィルター部材を介して、前記貯水部の水が、前記周壁部の外部から前記内部空間へ流入し、当該内部空間を経て前記排出口から排出可能に構成されている、カートリッジ。 - 前記支持体の軸線に対し、前記空気孔が前記排出口とは反対側に位置するように、前記容器に取り付けられる、請求項1に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記フィルター部材は、シート状に形成され、
前記支持体の周壁部は、水を透過可能に構成された内筒と、前記内筒に被せられ、水を透過可能に構成された外筒と、を備え、
前記内筒と前記外筒との間の略全周に亘って、前記フィルター部材が配置されている、請求項1または2に記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記フィルター部材は、当該フィルター部材の周方向の一端部と他端部とが重なるように、前記内筒の前記全周に巻き付けられ、
前記外筒の内周面には、前記フィルター部材において一端部と他端部とが重なる部分を受け入れる凹部が形成されている、請求項3に記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記フィルター部材は、前記支持体の周壁部の外面及び内面の少なくとも一方を着脱自在に覆うように、筒状に形成されている、請求項1または2に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記フィルター部材は、フェルトにより形成されている、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のカートリッジ。
- 上部に開口を有する貯水部と、前記貯水部に溜められた水を排出する排出口を有し、前記貯水部の開口を閉じる蓋体と、を有する容器と、
前記容器に着脱自在に取り付けられ、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のカートリッジと、
を備えている、浄水器。 - 上部に開口を有する貯水部に取り付けられる浄水部材であって、
前記貯水部に溜められた水を排出する排出口を有し、前記貯水部の開口を閉じる蓋体と、
筒状に形成された周壁部と、前記周壁部の軸方向の一端部を閉じ空気孔が形成された閉鎖部と、有し、前記周壁部において、前記軸方向の他端部が開放されている支持体と、
前記支持体において、前記周壁部の内面及び外面の少なくとも一方を覆うように着脱自在に取り付けられる筒状のフィルター部材と、
を備え、
前記支持体の他端部が、前記蓋体に着脱自在に取り付けられるように構成され、
前記支持体が前記蓋体に取り付けられたとき、前記支持体の内部空間と前記蓋部との間に閉空間が形成されるように構成され、前記貯水部の水が、前記フィルター部材を介して前記内部空間へ流入し、当該内部空間を経て前記排出口から排出可能に構成されている、浄水部材。 - 前記支持体の前記一端部側にフランジ部が形成されており、
前記フランジ部と、前記蓋体との間で前記フィルター部材を支持するように構成されている、請求項8に記載の浄水部材。
