  • the coronavirus pandemic called COVID 19 has created a major lifestyle modification which warrants certain permanent safety measures that have to be incorporated into our daily routine. This includes total body covering with appropriate vests and using the personal protective equipment to avoid the virus spreading from person to person. The worldwide struggle has triggered an unprecedented wave of innovations to tackle the coronavirus pandemic. In this effort, we have designed an e visor, which is purposed to repel the virus by the electrical charge provided on the surface of the e visor. This concept is applicable to all the other PPEs that are being used worldwide.

All these are meant to prevent the user from getting infected from other persons and also to avoid infecting others if they are infected. These visors and PPEs help either ways to protect the user and the people around them. Our invention pertains to providing a new scientific concept by making the visor and other PPE with a surface that is electrically charged, which will repel the coronavirus from attaching with the visors and PPE.

  • the negatively charged surface that we tend to provide, can repel the virus before getting attached with the mask or visor.
  • the visors and PPE are the basic need of the hour to prevent the spread of coronavirus. So, we have been working to make the visor and the PPE more effective in providing the protection that the PPE must offer to the user. In this effort, we have done a research to prevent the virus from attaching to the surfaces of different materials. There are several studies which tell about the number of hours the virus survives on different surfaces like metal, plastic, linen, floor, water and in the air. According to the available knowledge on this subject, the virus survives the least amount of time on copper metal, which is a very good conductor of electricity. On all other surfaces, the virus appears to survive for longer periods of time, even up to three days on linen and plastic.
  • Covid 19 pandemic has thrown our lives out of gear. We have to harness the nature of the virus to our advantage in tackling it efficiently. Barrier protection methods like visors and masks have helped in cutting the transmission of the virus. Impregnating the visors and masks with anything that can repel the virus based on its characteristics will really add strength to our fight against the virus.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une visière électronique, un EPI, ayant une surface chargée négativement, qui devrait repousser le coronavirus parce que le coronavirus a également une surface chargée négativement. La charge électrique de tout micro-organisme, positif ou négatif, peut être repoussée en lui appliquant la même charge électrique, et le tuer en coagulant la protéine qu'il contient en modifiant la tension et d'autres paramètres électriques. La visière électronique, lorsqu'elle est utilisée, fait appel à la puissance solaire et/ou à une batterie rechargeable pour appliquer cette charge négative sur la surface de la visière. La surface chargée négativement d'une visière, de tout EPI ou de tout autre matériel, instrument et paroi des surfaces qui est exposée au patient infecté par le coronavirus, est exposée au coronavirus. La visière peut également être constituée de matériaux transparents conventionnels et utiliser les pellicules et revêtements conducteurs transparents pour laisser passer l'électricité, pour repousser et tuer le coronavirus.
