Description

A CURTAIN STRIP FOR USE IN CURTAIN SYSTEMS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to at least one curtain system particularly for providing at least partial light isolation of one location from another location and at least one curtain strip for being used in said curtain system.
PRIOR ART
The type of curtain whose usage is based on a specific opening closing system and which can be made of different materials is called jalousie curtain. Jalousie curtain is known as the curtain type particularly used in houses, offices, shopping centers. Since jalousie curtain is easy to clean and practical, it is the mostly preferred curtain type. Jalousie curtain shows the ambiance of the medium more spacious and modern. Thanks to the mechanism characteristic of the curtain, light transmittance can be adjusted as desired. Jalousie curtain is formed by bringing strips together. The strips can be PVC, fabric, aluminum, wooden and artificial wooden. There are two different movements in jalousie curtains. It is operated by means of a rod and corded mechanism. There can also be the motorized option. Jalousie curtain can be operated by means of remote control or a button like an electrical button fixed onto wall.
Systems, made by using aluminum jalousie strips, are frequently used as window closing systems. Besides, there are systems made by using wooden strips. However, said systems are not as frequent as the systems which use aluminum. Aluminum, PVC and wooden stripped systems have some disadvantages. Some of these disadvantages are that they are deformed easily and rapidly during usage, they are heavy, the wooden ones are sensitive to humidity, problems are faced in light fastness and they are thick and heavy.
As a result, because of the abovementioned problems, an improvement is required in the related technical field. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a curtain strip for use in curtain systems, for eliminating the abovementioned disadvantages and for bringing new advantages to the related technical field.
An object of the present invention is to provide a curtain strip which is easy to use and which has improved resistance.
In order to realize the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention is at least one curtain system particularly for providing at least partial light isolation of one location from another location and at least one curtain strip for being used in said curtain system. Accordingly, the improvement is that said curtain strip comprises at least one first part which is fiber based and at least one second part which is essentially plastic based and configured to at least partially cover said first part. Thus, the curtain strip is made of composite structure, and depending on this, the curtain strip is produced to be thinner and to have at least partial light transmittance.
In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the curtain strip is configured to have wall thickness between 0.1 mm and 1 mm, particularly between 0.1 mm and 0.2 mm. Thus, the curtain strip is made so as to have very thin wall thickness when compared with the curtain strips known in the present art, and thereby at least partial light transmittance is provided.
In another possible embodiment of the present invention, the curtain strip is configured to have at least partial light transmittance of the curtain strip. Thus, an aesthetic appearance is provided to the curtain system.
In another possible embodiment of the present invention, at the first part, it is made of synthetic fiber or natural fiber. Thus, a more resistant structure is provided to the curtain strip so as to have thinner wall thickness.
In another possible embodiment of the present invention, the second part comprises chemical additive for providing the characteristics expected from the curtain strip. Thus, non flammable anti-static characteristic is provided to the curtain strip. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
In Figure 1 , a representative perspective view of the subject matter curtain system is given.
In Figure 2, a representative perspective view of the curtain strip positioned in the subject matter curtain system is given.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, the subject matter is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect only in order to make the subject more understandable.
In Figure 1 , a representative perspective view of the subject matter curtain system (10) is given. Accordingly, said curtain system (10) is a cover tension system used in front of a window or opening for preventing viewing and light and for hiding a section particularly for the inner parts of buildings. In a possible embodiment of the present invention, said curtain system (10) is particularly jalousie curtain and isolates the inner part of the building from the outer medium at least partially against light and noise. Said building can be a structure like shopping center, house, office, etc. where people exist.
The curtain system (10) has curtain strips (20) for isolating the inner side of the building from the outer side of the building. Said curtain strips (20) can be thin, narrow and long. The curtain strip (20) is essentially positioned in a manner extending within a specific arrangement (horizontally arranged, orthogonally arranged, etc.) in the curtain system (10). The curtain strips (20) are connected to each other by means of at least one connection element (11). Said connection element (11) is moved by means of at least one movement item (12) provided on the curtain system (10). The connection element (11) essentially extends in an orthogonal manner to the curtain strips (20). Said movement item (12) can be moved by the user by means of methods like manual, remote control, electronic button, etc. Thanks to this, the curtain strips (20) are guided.
The curtain strips (20) provide tilt movement. The tilt movement is the rotation of curtain strips (20) around themselves up to 180 degrees while the curtain is open, in other words while the window is in closed form. In accordance with the condition of the sun, the entrance direction and amount of sunlight entering into the building can be controlled by the tilt movement. For preventing viewing of the inner part of the building from outside, the strips are rotated upwardly in the building inner part and thereby the inner side receives light and the inner part of the building cannot be seen from outside. If it is desired to prevent light from entering into the building, the curtain strips (20) are lowered downwardly in the inner part of the building.
In Figure 2, a representative perspective view of the curtain strip (20) positioned in the subject matter curtain system (10) is given. Accordingly, the curtain strip (20) has at least one first part (21) and at least one second part (22). Said second part (22) is configured to at least partially encircle said first part (21). The curtain strip (20) can have a straight, oval or a different shape depending on the location where it will be used. In a possible embodiment of the present invention, the curtain strips (20) can be made so as to have wall thickness (23) between 0.1 mm and 1 mm, particularly between 0.1 mm and 0.2 mm.
Said first part (21) is essentially made of fiber (211) based material. Said fiber (211) can have natural or synthetic structure. A fiber including carbon, glass, polyester, etc. can be preferred as the synthetic fiber (211), and flax, hemp, etc. can be preferred as the natural fiber (211). While one of said fiber (211) types can be used in a stand-alone manner in the first part (21), more than one fiber (211) can be used in the same product. The first part (21) can be provided in different geometries on the curtain strip (20). In possible embodiments of the present invention, the first part (21 ) can be provided in wire form fiber (211 ). The fibers (211 ), which exist in the first part (21) in the curtain strips (20), are spread in the direction of the width of the curtain strip (20) and are provided by means of thinning the strip surface.
Said second part (22) is made of plastic-based material. In a possible embodiment of the present invention, said plastic-based material can be polyethylene, polyurethane, polypropylene, PP, PES, PET, UHMWPE, PA, PEEK, etc. The plastic material used for the second part (22) is molten at high temperature and is poured onto the first part (21) and cooled. In other words, the second part (22) is plastically shaped onto the first part (21) in a mold and is turned into composite form. Non-flammable, anti-static characteristic can be provided to the curtain strip (20) by means of chemical addition into the plastic material desired to be used in the second part (22).
The mold is produced at the desired dimensions for the curtain strip (20) and the desired wall thickness (23) is obtained. Since fiber (211) based material is used in the first part (21) and since plastic-based material is used in the second part (22), the curtain strip (20) is obtained so to have a resistant structure. As the composite structure is obtained, curtain strips (20) which are light and which have very low wall thickness (23) are produced. The curtain strips (20), made in a very thin form, have at least partial light transmittance. As the curtain strips (20) have partial light transmittance, additional aesthetic appearance is provided to the curtain system (10). Besides, saving is provided by means of less raw material usage thanks to the thinness of the curtain strips (20), and protection is provided against corrosion since they are based on plastic.
The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.
