Abstract
音響特性の柔軟な調整を目的とする。ヘッドホン(100)は、ハウジング(10)と、ハウジング(10)に設けられる第1ドライバーユニット(12)と、ハウジング(10)の内部空間を、第1ドライバーユニット(12)を含む第1空間(30)と第2空間(32)に分割する隔壁(24)と、隔壁(24)に設けられる第2ドライバーユニット(36)と、第2ドライバーユニット(36)によって第1空間(30)の体積を変えることが可能になるように、第1ドライバーユニット(12)に入力される第1信号(S1)に基づいて、第2ドライバーユニット(36)に入力するための第2信号(S2)を生成する音響調整回路(42)と、を有する。
Description
本発明は、ヘッドホン及びスピーカに関する。
ヘッドホンは、電気信号をドライバーユニットの振動板の振動に変換し、振動板により空気を振動させることにより、電気信号を音に変換するものである。ここで、ヘッドホンのハウジング内に閉じ込められた空気は、振動板に対して空気バネの作用をするので、音響特性に影響を及ぼす。この音響特性は、音響管を利用することで調整可能である(特許文献1及び2)。
従来の方法では、音響特性の調整範囲が狭いので、柔軟なチューニングをすることができなかった。
ここでは、音響特性の柔軟な調整が目的である。
ヘッドホン又はスピーカは、ハウジングと、前記ハウジングに設けられる第1ドライバーユニットと、前記ハウジングの内部空間を、前記第1ドライバーユニットを含む第1空間と第2空間に分割する隔壁と、前記隔壁に設けられる第2ドライバーユニットと、前記第2ドライバーユニットによって前記第1空間の体積を変えることが可能になるように、前記第1ドライバーユニットに入力される第1信号に基づいて、前記第2ドライバーユニットに入力するための第2信号を生成する音響調整回路と、を有する。
これによれば、第1空間の体積を変えることで、音響特性の柔軟な調整が可能になる。
以下、本発明の実施形態について図面を参照して説明する。但し、本発明は、その要旨を逸脱しない範囲において様々な態様で実施することができ、以下に例示する実施形態の記載内容に限定して解釈されるものではない。
[第1の実施形態]
図1は、ヘッドホンの全体図である。ヘッドホン100は、図示しない音響機器(音楽プレーヤ、音響ミキサ又はスマートフォンなど)と有線又は無線で接続される。ヘッドホン100は、ヘッドバンド102と、一対のハウジング10を有する。ヘッドホン100は、ノイズキャンセリング機能を備えていてもよい。なお、イヤホンは、ヘッドホン100の一種であるものとする。
図1は、ヘッドホンの全体図である。ヘッドホン100は、図示しない音響機器(音楽プレーヤ、音響ミキサ又はスマートフォンなど)と有線又は無線で接続される。ヘッドホン100は、ヘッドバンド102と、一対のハウジング10を有する。ヘッドホン100は、ノイズキャンセリング機能を備えていてもよい。なお、イヤホンは、ヘッドホン100の一種であるものとする。
図2は、ハウジング10の平面図である。図3は、図2に示すハウジング10のIII-III線断面の斜視図である。ハウジング10には、第1ドライバーユニット12が取り付けられている。第1ドライバーユニット12は、音楽などの原音の電気信号から音を再生するようになっている。ダイナミック型であれば、電気信号に基づいてコイルに電流を流し、磁力で第1振動板20(ダイアフラム)を振動させることで音が再生される。
ハウジング10は、ユーザの耳に対向するように配置される出力面16に、第1開口18を有する。第1ドライバーユニット12の第1振動板20が、第1開口18を塞ぐように、出力面16に取り付けられている。出力面16には、第1開口18及び第1ドライバーユニット12を囲んで、イヤカップ22が取り付けられている。なお、ハウジング10は、第1開口18以外に、音響特性を調整するための孔(ポート)を有していてもよい。
ハウジング10には、隔壁24が取り付けられている。例えば、隔壁24は、出力面16の裏面に取り付けられて、第1ドライバーユニット12を囲む側壁部26と、側壁部26に囲まれた空間を塞ぐリッド部28を含む。隔壁24は、第1ドライバーユニット12を覆うようになっている。隔壁24によって、ハウジング10の内部空間が、第1ドライバーユニット12がある第1空間30と第2空間32に分割される。第1ドライバーユニット12は、第1空間30と外部空間に面している。
隔壁24(ハウジング10)は、第2開口34を有する。第2ドライバーユニット36の第2振動板38が、第2開口34を塞ぐように、隔壁24に取り付けられている。第2ドライバーユニット36は、第1空間30と第2空間32の双方に面している。第2ドライバーユニット36は、第1ドライバーユニット12と同じ構造(例えばダイナミック型)であってもよいし、異なる構造であってもよい。また、第2ドライバーユニット36は、第1ドライバーユニット12よりも小さくてもよいし、同じ大きさでもよい。なお、複数の第2ドライバーユニット36が複数の第2開口34をそれぞれ塞ぐようになっていてもよい。
第1空間30は、第1開口18及び第2開口34がそれぞれ第1振動板20及び第2振動板38で塞がれているので、閉空間になっている。ハウジング10(隔壁24)には閉空間が構成される。第1空間30と第2空間32の間に第2振動板38がある。
第1振動板20の背面に第1空間があるため、第1空間の空気圧が第1振動板20の振動に影響するため、第1ドライバーユニット12の音質が決まる。一方で、第2振動板38の前面に第1空間があるため、第2振動板38の振動により第1空間の体積(容積)が増減し、第1空間の空気圧が変化する。ハウジング10(例えば隔壁24とハウジング10の間)には、電装盤40が配置されている。
図4は、音響調整回路の回路図である。第2ドライバーユニット36の駆動のための音響調整回路42は、電装盤40に含まれる。第1ドライバーユニット12には第1信号S1が入力されるようになっている。音響調整回路42は、第1信号S1に基づいて、第2信号S2を生成する。第2信号S2は、第2ドライバーユニット36に入力される。
例えば、音響調整回路42は、任意に設定可能な第1帯域において信号S1とは逆位相になるように、第2信号S2を生成する。第1帯域は、音圧レベルを下げる制御を行う周波数帯域であり、一部の周波数帯域としても、全ての周波数帯域としてもよい。第2信号S2を第1帯域において第1信号S1と逆位相にすることで、第1振動板20及び第2振動板38は、対向方向又は反対方向に振動するので、閉空間(第1空間30)の体積変化が大きくなるため、空気バネの影響が大きくなる。つまり、第1帯域において、第1ドライバーユニット12の音圧レベルを下げることができる。こうして、音響特性の柔軟な調整が可能になる。
[変形例]
図5は、変形例1に係る音響調整回路の回路図である。音響調整回路42Aは、任意に設定可能な第2帯域において第1信号S1と同相になるように、第2信号S2を生成する。第2帯域は、音圧レベルを上げる制御を行う周波数帯域であり、一部の周波数帯域としても、全ての周波数帯域としてもよい。第2信号S2を第2帯域において第1信号S1と同相にすることで、第1振動板20及び第2振動板38は、同じ方向に振動するので、閉空間(第1空間30)の体積変化が小さくなるため、空気バネの影響が小さくなる。つまり、第2帯域において、第1ドライバーユニット12の音圧レベルを上げることができる。
図5は、変形例1に係る音響調整回路の回路図である。音響調整回路42Aは、任意に設定可能な第2帯域において第1信号S1と同相になるように、第2信号S2を生成する。第2帯域は、音圧レベルを上げる制御を行う周波数帯域であり、一部の周波数帯域としても、全ての周波数帯域としてもよい。第2信号S2を第2帯域において第1信号S1と同相にすることで、第1振動板20及び第2振動板38は、同じ方向に振動するので、閉空間(第1空間30)の体積変化が小さくなるため、空気バネの影響が小さくなる。つまり、第2帯域において、第1ドライバーユニット12の音圧レベルを上げることができる。
図6は、変形例2に係る音響調整回路の回路図である。音響調整回路42Bは、ローパスフィルタを含む。第1信号S1の部分的な周波数帯域から、第2信号S2を生成する。これによれば、カットオフ周波数以下において、音響特性の調整を行うことができる。
図7は、変形例3に係る音響調整回路の回路図である。音響調整回路42Cは、ハイパスフィルタを含む。第1信号S1の部分的な周波数帯域から、第2信号S2を生成する。これによれば、カットオフ周波数以上において、音響特性の調整を行うことができる。
図8は、変形例4に係る音響調整回路の回路図である。音響調整回路42Dは、少なくとも1つのバンドパスフィルタを含む。第1信号S1の部分的な周波数帯域から、第2信号S2を生成する。これによれば、バンドパス帯域において、音響特性の調整を行うことができる。
図9は、変形例5に係る音響調整回路の回路図である。音響調整回路42Eは、少なくとも1つのバンドエリミネーションフィルタ(例えばノッチフィルタ)を含む。第1信号S1の部分的な周波数帯域から、第2信号S2を生成する。これによれば、バンドパス帯域において、音響特性の調整を行うことができる。
図10は、変形例6に係る音響調整回路の回路図である。音響調整回路42Fは、複数のバンドパスフィルタを含む。第1信号S1の複数の部分的な周波数帯域から、第2信号S2を生成する。これによれば、複数のバンドパス帯域において、音響特性の調整を行うことができる。複数のバンドパス帯域は、第2ドライバーユニット36の構造共振の周波数を含んでもよい。
[第2の実施形態]
図11は、第2の実施形態に係るスピーカを示す平面図である。スピーカ200は、第1振動板220を有する第1ドライバーユニット212を有する。さらに、スピーカ200は、第2ドライバーユニット、ハウジング及び音響調整回路を有し、これらは第1の実施形態で説明した内容が該当する。
図11は、第2の実施形態に係るスピーカを示す平面図である。スピーカ200は、第1振動板220を有する第1ドライバーユニット212を有する。さらに、スピーカ200は、第2ドライバーユニット、ハウジング及び音響調整回路を有し、これらは第1の実施形態で説明した内容が該当する。
本発明は、上述した実施形態に限定されるものではなく種々の変形が可能である。例えば、実施形態で説明した構成は、実質的に同一の構成、同一の作用効果を奏する構成又は同一の目的を達成することができる構成で置き換えることができる。
