- Emitted light includes delayed fluorescence, phosphorescence, afterglow or phosphorescence caused by the excitation of electrons in such objects.
- the emitted light may be emitted light (infrared rays) that is absorbed by light irradiation (light energy, photoexcitation) on the object and converted into heat energy (wavelength conversion).
- stopping the irradiation of the irradiation light on the object 100 is not limited to turning off the irradiation device 11, and for example, changing the optical path of the irradiation light so that the irradiation light does not hit the object 100. Includes various configurations.
- the imaging device 12 images the emitted light emitted from the object 100 in response to the irradiation of the irradiation light.
- the imaging device 12 captures the emitted light, it is possible to acquire a time change in the position of the emitted light and a time change in the emission intensity. Further, the control device 13 detects the emitted light based on the image captured by the image pickup device 12. When the control device 13 detects the emitted light, the emitted light emitted from the object 100 itself functions as a marker for the object 100. In this way, it is described in the present specification that a predetermined area of the object itself functions as a marker without attaching or applying a physical marker or a substance that functions as a marker to the object. Also called "marking".

- the light emission data L shown in the figure is an image of a sketchbook, which is an example of the object 100, at 120 fps by the image pickup device 12 after irradiating a sketchbook having a wavelength of 375 nm as irradiation light for 500 milliseconds.
- the pixel value of the pixel at the center coordinate in the region where the irradiation light was irradiated from the pixel of the imaging result is represented by 10 bits (0 to 1023).
- the horizontal axis represents the number of image frames
- the vertical axis represents the pixel value in the region irradiated with the irradiation light.
- the pixel value corresponds to the emitted light intensity (emission intensity).
- the pixel value immediately after the irradiation of the irradiation light is stopped is relatively high, that is, strong light emission is observed, but it can be read that the pixel value is gradually attenuated.
- the emission data L after the irradiation of the irradiation light is stopped is divided into an exponential decay section B1 and a gradual decay section B2.
- the exponential decay section B1 starts, and the pixel value is exponentially attenuated.
- the exponential decay section B1 continues for about 9 frames (75 milliseconds) after the start of imaging, and the pixel value is attenuated by about 80% from the maximum value during that period.

- the elapsed time from the stop of irradiation of the irradiation light can be estimated based on the pixel value of the emitted light detected at a certain time. Can be done. That is, it can be said that the marker composed of the emitted light includes both spatial information indicating its position and time information indicating its elapsed time.
- the image after irradiating the irradiation light at 120 fps is captured by one image pickup device 12, but the image pickup device 12 is a camera that captures the emitted light of the object 100 at a frame rate lower than 120 fps.

- the period in which the time change is relatively fast is, for example, the exponential decay section B1
- the period in which the time change is relatively slow is, for example, the decay section B2.
- high-speed camera to be taken to change the brightness of the 10 nanosecond order, i.e. may be one which captures images in about 10 8 fps.
- high-speed camera to be taken to change the brightness of the 10 nanosecond order
- the relatively low-speed camera and the two cameras, it is possible to take a continuous image with sufficient time resolution in both the period in which the emitted light changes with time relatively fast and the period in which the time change is slow.
- the irradiation time of the irradiation light is set to 500 milliseconds, but the irradiation time is not limited to this.
- Irradiation conditions such as wavelength of irradiation light, irradiation intensity, and irradiation time basically depend on the electronic structure of the object 100. For example, when the object 100 is a sketchbook, if the irradiation time of the irradiation light is set to about 700 milliseconds or more, the life of the emitted light tends to be saturated. In this way, the irradiation time of the irradiation light on the object 100 may be set to be equal to or longer than the irradiation time at which the lifetime of the emitted light is saturated.

- the detection unit 131 detects the emitted light from the captured image. At this time, since the object 100 is marked with a plurality of regions, a plurality of emitted lights are detected from one image. Further, since the intensity of the emitted light is attenuated according to the emission characteristics of the material of the object 100, as shown in FIG. 6, the intensity of the emitted light detected by the detection unit 131 is the emission corresponding to the past irradiation. It gradually becomes stronger from the light to the emitted light corresponding to the latest irradiation. Therefore, the processing unit 132 can identify a plurality of emitted lights detected on one image in chronological order based on their intensities. As a result, the processing unit 132 can calculate the relative velocity of the object 100 with respect to the image pickup device 12 based on the pixel spacing of the plurality of emitted lights whose intensity orders are adjacent to each other.
- the pixel spacing of two emitted lights with adjacent intensity orders detected on one image is X (pixels), and the irradiation interval by the irradiation device 11 is z (
- the pixel relative velocity Vp is used in real space. It can be converted to real relative velocity.
- the relative velocity of the object 100 can be calculated regardless of the distance between the irradiation device 11 and the image pickup device 12, as in the mode A.
- a and B are effective, for example, when the object 100 does not deform, or when it is sufficient to track the movement of one point of the object 100, and at this time, it is preferable that the irradiation time of the irradiation light is short. ..
- the moving direction when the moving direction is known, for example, when the object 100 moves relative to each other in a straight line, a plurality of spatially adjacent emitted lights are used without using the emission characteristics of the emitted light.
- the relative velocity of the object 100 may be calculated based on this.

- the irradiation light may be irradiated a plurality of times over a period of time, or the irradiation light may be continuously irradiated without stopping.
- the object 100 moves relative to the irradiation device 11, when the irradiation device 11 irradiates the irradiation light continuously, the emitted light is emitted from the region of the object 100 having a predetermined length. Will be done. That is, in aspect C, the object 100 is marked linearly.

- the processing unit 132 can measure the locus of the emitted light detected from one image and the locus of movement of the object 100 with respect to the irradiation device 11 based on the intensity of the emitted light.
- the processing unit 132 can measure the locus of the emitted light detected from one image and the locus of movement of the object 100 with respect to the irradiation device 11 based on the intensity of the emitted light.
- the region of the locus where the emitted light is emitted expands, so that the amount of information per image obtained from the locus of

- An image taken in a situation where chocolate, which is an example of an object, is mounted on a table is shown.
- the wavelength of the irradiation light irradiated by the irradiation device 11 is 375 nm, and the irradiation time is 500 milliseconds.
- the image pickup device 12 is a CMOS camera combined with an image intensifier whose gain is set to 5.0. From this point onward, unless otherwise specified, the wavelength of the irradiation light shall be 375 nm.
- the resolution of the imaging device 12 is 640 ⁇ 480 pixels, and the frame rate of imaging is 240 fps.
- the images shown in FIGS. 8A and 8B are images after the processing device 13 has subjected to binarization processing using a predetermined threshold value on the original image captured by the imaging device 12.
- the loci of the emitted light 200 emitted from the chocolate each draw an arc, and the intensity is attenuated counterclockwise.
- FIG. 18 shown later in this experiment, chocolate is imaged through a mirror, and the left and right sides of the captured image are inverted. Therefore, from the locus of the emitted light 200, it can be seen that the chocolate is rotating clockwise.
- the emission duration of the emitted light in chocolate is ⁇ (seconds) and the rotation angle of the trajectory of the emitted light is Y (rad)
- the method of analyzing the trajectory of the emitted light based on one image captured at a certain time is still sufficient even if the emitted light in the region irradiated at the start time of laser irradiation is attenuated. It can be used at the time of observation within the luminescence duration, which remains observable.
- the laser irradiation time is longer than the emission duration of the emitted light, the brightest end point of the emitted light trajectories in the two images captured at different times, that is, the nearest point (immediately before the end of the laser irradiation).
- the relative angular velocity ⁇ can be calculated.
- FIG. 9 is a flowchart of tracking processing executed by the processing system according to the present embodiment.
- the setting unit 130 sets the irradiation conditions of the irradiation device 11 (step S10) and sets the imaging conditions of the imaging device 12 (step S11).
- the irradiation device 11 irradiates the object 100 with irradiation light under the set irradiation conditions (step S12).
- the imaging device 12 photographs the emitted light emitted from the object 100 itself in response to the irradiation of the irradiation light under the set imaging conditions (step S13).
- the detection unit 131 detects the emitted light based on the captured image (step S14).
- the processing unit 132 calculates the relative velocity of the object 100 based on the detected transition or locus of the emitted light (step S15). With the above, the tracking process is completed.
- various image processings may be applied to the captured image in step S14.
- the emitted light when the captured image contains fixed noise or the like at the time of shooting, the emitted light may be detected after removing these.
- an image after a sufficient time has passed after the emitted light is attenuated is separately imaged, the magnitude of the pixel value of fixed noise is evaluated by taking the maximum value of the pixel value, and the evaluation value is used as a threshold value.
- a value image may be created. In the created binary image, fixed noise is excluded, so that the center of gravity on the image in the bright region derived from the emitted light can be regarded as the center of the emitted light.
- the emitted light emitted from a predetermined region of the object itself can function as a marker without giving a physical marker to the object.
- a marking method as compared with the configuration in which a physical marker is attached to the object or a phosphorescent substance is applied to the object, the appearance and shape of the object are not changed, and the mobility of the object is not impaired. It is possible to measure an object.
- the function as a marker can be exhibited even when the environment in which the object 100 exists is in the atmosphere, vacuum, or liquid. Further, even if the object 100 is under an electric field or a magnetic field, it is not affected by these.
- the emission light marker can be added to the robust regardless of the color, material, shape, etc. of the object. Thereby, for example, even a plain white object can be measured with high accuracy.
- emitted light emitted for about several milliseconds to several hundred milliseconds is used as a marker based on the electronic structure of the substance itself constituting the object. Therefore, as compared with the case of using a laser having a relatively high light intensity, marking can be performed without destroying the object or leaving a trace in the irradiation region of the object due to photoalteration.
- the position of the pattern light with respect to the object shifts when the object moves, so that the pattern light cannot be used as a marker for the object.
- the processing system 10 in the present embodiment, once marking is completed, even if the object 100 moves thereafter, the emitted light continues to be emitted from the same region for the duration of light emission, so that it is applied to tracking of the object and the like. can do.
- the speed of the transport belt is calculated based on the relationship between the timing of light emission by the light emitting means and the timing of light reception by the light receiving means, and the distance between the light emitting means and the light receiving means.
- the relative speed of the object with respect to the imaging device can be calculated based on the transition of the position of the emitted light regardless of the distance between the irradiation device and the imaging device. Therefore, in the processing system 10, the degree of freedom of movement of the measurable object is improved as compared with the configuration described in Patent Document 2, and for example, the angular velocity of the object can be measured.
- the processing unit 132 tracks the object is described as an application example of the processing system 10, but the processing system according to the present embodiment is used for various other purposes. May be done.
- FIG. 10 is a diagram showing a functional block of the processing system according to the first modification of the present embodiment.
- the description of the matters common to the above-described embodiment will be omitted, and only the differences will be described.
- the same action and effect due to the same configuration will not be mentioned sequentially for each embodiment and modification.
- the processing system 10A according to this modification is different from the processing system 10 described above in that the control device 13A further includes a modulation unit 133.
- each processing system includes a modulation unit 133 that modulates the irradiation light in order to identify which processing system the irradiation light is derived from.
- FIG. 10 shows an example in which the control device 13A constitutes the modulation unit 133
- the component constituting the modulation unit is not limited to the control device 13A, and may be, for example, an irradiation device or irradiation. It may be a component provided separately from the device, the image pickup device, and the control device.
- the modulation unit 133 may spatially modulate the irradiation light, for example, by changing the graphic pattern of the irradiation light spreading on a two-dimensional plane.
- the emitted light also takes on a graphic pattern according to the irradiation light, so that the type of emitted light used as a marker can be identified based on the graphic pattern of the emitted light.
- the processing system 10A may further include a diffraction grating provided at the irradiation port of the irradiation device 11 to generate linear irradiation light inclined in various directions.
- the modulation unit may include a diffraction grating.
- 11A and 11B are diagrams showing images captured by an imaging device when a milk carton is irradiated with spatially modulated irradiation light.
- 12A and 12B are diagrams showing images captured by the image pickup apparatus when the sketchbook is irradiated with the spatially modulated irradiation light.
- 11A and 12A show images captured during irradiation with irradiation light
- FIGS. 11B and 12B show images captured immediately after the irradiation light is stopped.
- the frame rate of the image pickup apparatus is 120 fps, which is an image when the shape of the irradiation light is linear.
- the modulation unit 133 may dynamically spatially modulate the irradiation light instead of statically spatially modulating it.
- the modulation unit 133 may generate the emitted light of the graphic pattern by irradiating the emitted light while moving the point-shaped irradiation light into the figure shape within the emission duration of the emitted light.
- the movement of the irradiation light may be realized by using, for example, a galvano mirror having one or two axes whose operation is controlled by the control device 13A.
- the graphic pattern includes, for example, a linear shape, a rectangular shape, a circular shape, and a polygonal shape. By emitting emitted light having different graphic patterns, each emitted light can be identified.
- the dynamic spatial modulation of the irradiation light may be realized by using a device such as DMD (Digital Mirror Device) or LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon).
- the irradiation device 11 irradiates continuous irradiation light as shown in FIG. 7 to generate a linear pattern having a length q.
- mt be the emission duration of the emitted light when the circular irradiation light having a radius r is irradiated over the time t
- v be the moving speed of the irradiation light.
- the moving speed v of the irradiation light needs to satisfy v ⁇ 2r / t (Equation 1). Further, in order to irradiate the length q within the light emission duration mt at the moving speed v, the moving speed v must satisfy q + 2r ⁇ vmt (Equation 2). From Equations 1 and 2, the processing system 10A can generate a linear pattern of length q that satisfies q ⁇ 2 (m-1) r.
- the modulation unit 133 may modulate the intensity of the irradiation light by changing the irradiation intensity of the light.
- the processing system 10A may further include an ND (Neutral Density) filter provided at the irradiation port of the irradiation device 11, and may change the light irradiation intensity according to the light transmittance of the ND filter.
- ND filters Neuronal Density filters have a characteristic that the transmittance of light can be changed by rotating the filter, and the larger the rotation angle, the higher the optical density linearly (that is, the smaller the transmittance). Therefore, the modulation unit 133 may change the intensity of the irradiation light by, for example, controlling the rotation angle of such an ND filter to change the light transmittance.
- the ND filter may be either an absorption type or a reflection type.
- FIG. 13 is a diagram showing emission data when the irradiation light is intensity-modulated.
- the emission data L1 to L3 shown in the figure are pixels of the center coordinates in the region where the irradiation light was irradiated in the image captured by the imaging device 12 after irradiating the milk pack with the irradiation light for 100 milliseconds. It represents the pixel value of.
- the light emission data L1 is the result when the ND filter is not provided
- the light emission data L2 is the result when the ND filter is rotated 90 degrees (that is, the transmittance is about 30%)
- the light emission data L3 is the result when the ND filter is used. This is the result when rotated by 180 degrees (that is, the transmittance is about several percent).
- the image pickup device 12 is a CMOS camera combined with an image intensifier whose gain is set to 5.0. Since the 10th to 11th frames correspond to the time during which the irradiation light is irradiated, imaging is not performed, and the 11th to 12th frames and thereafter correspond to the pixel values of the emitted light.
- FIGS. 14B, 15B and 16B are diagrams showing a part of images captured under the conditions corresponding to the light emission data L1 of FIG. 15A and 15B are diagrams showing a part of an image captured under the conditions corresponding to the light emission data L2 of FIG. 16A and 16B are diagrams showing a part of an image captured under the conditions corresponding to the light emission data L3 of FIG. 14A, 15A and 16A show images (11th frame of FIG. 13) taken immediately after the irradiation light is stopped, and FIGS. 14B, 15B and 16B are 100 mm from the stop of the irradiation light, respectively. The image taken after a second (the 22nd frame of FIG. 13) is shown.
- the modulation unit 133 uses a modulation method such as time modulation that changes the irradiation cycle of the irradiation light, wavelength modulation that changes the spectrum of the irradiation light, or pulse code modulation that modulates the irradiation light into a pulse shape.
- the irradiation light may be modulated.
- pulse code modulation in order to secure the contrast ratio of the emitted light to be imaged, it is preferable to input the pulse in consideration of the attenuation time of the emitted light.
- irradiation of the next irradiation light when the level of the emitted light drops from the maximum value to a predetermined ratio based on the attenuation curve of the emitted light obtained in advance.
- each processing system may be provided with a filter in front of the imaging unit that selectively passes the emitted light based on the modulated irradiation light.
- each modulation method may be applied in duplicate, for example, as in the case of spatially modulated and time-modulated irradiation light.
- the irradiation device in one processing system imparts the emitted light marker a plurality of times
- the irradiation light over a plurality of times may be modulated so as to be different from each other.
- the imaging unit captures a plurality of emitted lights at the same time, it is possible to identify when the detected emitted light is the emitted light based on the irradiated irradiation light.
- FIG. 17 is a diagram showing a functional block of the processing system according to the second modification of the present embodiment.
- the irradiation device 11 irradiates the object 100 with irradiation light spreading on a two-dimensional plane
- the control device 13B further includes a matching unit 134. Is different.
- the irradiation light emitted by the irradiation device 11 is a random pattern-like pattern light that spreads on a two-dimensional plane facing the object 100. By irradiating such irradiation light, the emitted light is emitted from the random pattern region in the object 100. That is, in the processing system 10A, the object 100 is marked in a random pattern.
- the imaging device 12 images the emitted light in a random pattern emitted from the object 100 itself over a plurality of timings.
- the image pickup device 12 has an angle of view capable of capturing at least a part of the emitted light in a random pattern.
- the matching unit 134 performs pattern matching using a plurality of images captured by the image pickup device 12.
- the processing system 10B can measure the relative position, relative posture, and the like of the object in the image.
- the processing system 10B since the emitted light can be emitted according to the pattern of the irradiation light, the emitted light can be used as a marker in the random pattern by irradiating the irradiation light in the random pattern pattern.
- pattern matching can be performed with higher accuracy than, for example, a configuration using a pattern-shaped marker having a predetermined rule.
- the irradiation light may have various other patterns without the intention of limiting the pattern of the irradiation light to a random pattern.
- the shape of the region irradiated with the pattern light may be a two-dimensional plane or a three-dimensional shape.
- the same measurement as described above can be performed by detecting the pattern of the emitted light generated by the combination of the pattern light and the surface shape of the object 100.
- FIG. 18 is a diagram showing a configuration example of a processing system according to a third modification of the present embodiment.
- the processing system 10C further includes mirrors 14 and 15 as compared with the processing system 10. Note that in FIG. 18, the control device 13 is not shown.
- the mirror 14 is a specific example of an optical path control unit that guides the emitted light emitted from the object 100 to the image pickup apparatus 12.
- the mirror 15 is a specific example of an optical path control unit that guides the irradiation light emitted from the irradiation device 11 to an arbitrary region of the object 100.
- the mirrors 14 and 15 may be, for example, fixed mirrors, or galvano mirrors of one axis or two axes whose operation is controlled by the control device 13.
- FIG. 18 as an example, an example in which the mirror 14 is a fixed mirror and the mirror 15 is a galvano mirror is shown.
- the galvano mirror is used as the mirror 15, the irradiation position of the irradiation light can be controlled at a higher speed than moving the irradiation device 11 itself. Therefore, even when the object 100 moves relative to the irradiation device 11, it becomes easy to continue irradiating the specific region of the object 100 with the irradiation light. Further, for example, even when the size of the object is small or the surface of the object is restricted by irradiation, it becomes easy to give the emitted light marker to the object.
- the processing unit 132 in the control device 13 calculates the relative position and relative velocity of the emitted light emitted from the object 100, and based on the calculated relative position and relative velocity of the emitted light, the following Calculate the position to irradiate the irradiation light.
- the control device 13 controls the mirror 15 so that the irradiation light is irradiated to the calculated position.
- the new emitted light is superimposed on the emitted light corresponding to the previous irradiation, and the emitted light that is not interrupted in time can be emitted from a predetermined region of the object.
- the emission duration of the emitted light used as a marker can be maintained longer and brighter.
- the control device 13 may calculate the position to be irradiated in consideration of these delays.
- the mirrors 14 and 15 do not necessarily have to be both provided, and either one may be provided. Further, one of the mirrors may serve both as the control of the optical path of the irradiation light by the irradiation device 11 and the control of the optical path of the image pickup by the image pickup device 12.
- the processing system 10 is used for three-dimensional measurement of the object.
- FIG. 19 is a diagram showing the overall configuration of the processing system according to the second embodiment.
- the irradiation device 11 irradiates the object 100 with irradiation light
- the image pickup device 12 acquires a multi-viewpoint image while the object 100 is picked up and moved.
- the processing unit 132 measures the three-dimensional shape of the object 100 based on the emitted light included in the acquired multi-viewpoint image, for example, by using a known method such as depth from motion.
- a two-dimensional position detection element (PSD: Position Sensing Device) is arranged on the irradiation surface of the irradiation light to detect the irradiation position of the irradiation light, and the detected irradiation position and the relative position of the known imaging device 12 are set. Based on this, the three-dimensional coordinates of the object 100 may be calculated.
- PSD Position Sensing Device
- the processing system 10 is not limited to the three-dimensional shape of the entire object 100, and may measure, for example, the surface roughness (texture) of the object 100. It is considered that the emitted light is also affected by the change in the irradiation efficiency of the irradiation light according to the inclination of the surface of the object 100. Therefore, the processing system 10 may calculate the inclination of the surface of the object 100 by detecting the emitted light.
- the processing system 10 When using a conventional physical marker, it is necessary to apply a plurality of markers to the entire object in order to measure the overall shape of the object. Further, for example, when the shape of the object is complicated, the marker itself may interfere with the measurement depending on the imaging angle. In this regard, according to the processing system 10, even when the object 100 moves in an unknown and random manner, it is possible to continue to add a new emitted light marker in real time, so that the marker can be measured by a simple method. The three-dimensional shape of the entire object 100 can be measured without affecting it. Further, even an object whose shape changes, such as a flexible body, can be provided with a emitted light marker and its shape can be measured. The result of shape measurement of the object 100 may be used for archiving, for example.
- the irradiation light may be a two-dimensional pattern in order to efficiently perform three-dimensional measurement.
- the two-dimensional pattern of the emitted light may change during measurement, so the pattern of the irradiation light may be updated frame by frame, or the two-dimensional pattern may be continuously irradiated. May be good.
- the angle of view of the image pickup apparatus 12 has an angle with respect to the emitted light emitted from the object 100, if the region of the object 100 where the emitted light is emitted is flat, for example, a circle or an ellipse.
- the center of the emitted light can be detected by finding the center of gravity of the emitted light reflected in the light.
- a plurality of irradiation lights independent of each other may be irradiated, but a single point-shaped irradiation light or a two-dimensional pattern irradiation light is used in order to reduce the calculation cost and avoid complication of the processing system. preferable.
- the irradiation light may be time-modulated and blink periodically. By capturing the same emitted light with a plurality of imaging devices and observing the period, it is possible to synchronize the time between the plurality of imaging devices.
- the irradiation light When irradiating a plurality of independent irradiation lights, in order to distinguish these irradiation lights, the irradiation light may be time-modulated to blink the irradiation light at different cycles. In this case, the higher the types of emitted light to be distinguished, the more the high speed may be lost. Therefore, in order to ensure high speed, the period of the irradiation light may be shortened by setting a relatively high threshold value when detecting the emitted light and intentionally shortening the emission duration of the emitted light. As the number of imaging frames increases, the blinking cycle that can be distinguished increases, and the accuracy of identification improves.
- the processing system 10 is used to visualize the locus of movement of the object.
- the object is, for example, a fluid or powder containing a liquid or gas
- a conventional physical marker can be added without affecting the object itself, or a marker can be accurately applied to the area where the object exists. It is difficult to apply and it is difficult to track the movement of fluids and powders.
- the processing system 10 when the fluid or powder is irradiated with irradiation light, the emitted light is emitted from the fluid or powder itself, so that the measurement is desired without affecting the fluid or powder.
- the emitted light markers can be accurately attached to the object itself, and the loci of these movements can be visualized.
- FIG. 20 is a diagram showing the overall configuration of the processing system according to the third embodiment.

- the irradiation device 11 irradiates the granulated sugar 100A with irradiation light.
- the imaging device 12 images the emitted light emitted from the granulated sugar 100A.
- the mirror 16 is composed of a uniaxial galvano mirror, and has both control of the optical path of the irradiation light by the irradiation device 11 and control of the optical path of the image pickup by the image pickup device 12. Images acquired in such an operating environment are shown in FIGS. 21A to 22B.

- the granulated sugar may transmit the irradiation light, and the light is reflected with a certain extent in FIGS. 21A and 21B due to the diffusion of the irradiation light.
- FIGS. 22A and 22B described later.
- FIG. 22A and 22B are diagrams showing images captured by the imaging device when the granulated sugar inside the obstacle is irradiated with irradiation light in the operating environment of the processing system shown in FIG. 20. Specifically, FIG. 22A is an image captured immediately after the irradiation of the irradiation light is stopped, and FIG. 22B is an image captured 200 milliseconds after the image shown in FIG. 22A is captured.
- the irradiation light may be a two-dimensional pattern in order to visualize the flow of a plurality of positions at the same time, or may be a plurality of irradiation lights independent of each other in order to reduce the calculation cost.

- the processing system 10 is used for motion blur correction.
- the overall configuration of the present embodiment can be inferred from FIG. 19, for example, and thus the illustration is omitted.
- a deconvolution method is known in which a deconvolution operation is performed after shooting by using a blur kernel as an auxiliary.
- a method of mounting an acceleration sensor on an image pickup device and detecting the trajectory of the movement of the image pickup device is known, but this method cannot reflect the movement of an object.
- double integration is required, the accuracy may deteriorate.
- the processing system 10 by assigning the emitted light marker to the object 100, it is possible to acquire the trajectory of the movement of the object together with the imaging of the object 100, and from the trajectory of the movement of the object.
- the relative blur kernel is calculated. That is, assuming that the locus of the emitted light is a PSF (point spread function) and that the image in which the PSF is convoluted in an image in which motion blur does not occur is a blur image, the blur can be removed by, for example, a deconvolution calculation. can.
- the algorithm for removing the blur is not limited to the simple deconvolution operation, and may be combined with other algorithms (for example, Lucy Richardson algorithm) whose accuracy is improved by knowing the PSF. good.
- the blur kernel can be obtained from the trajectory of the emitted light, the calculation cost can be suppressed and highly accurate results can be obtained as compared with the case of performing blind deconvolution without using the blur kernel. can. Further, in the present embodiment, since the speed of the object can be calculated from the brightness of the emitted light, the object may be accelerated or decelerated during the exposure time of the imaging device.

- FIG. 23B shows the sketchbook is blurred due to the movement of the sketchbook, and the edges of the sketchbook are blurred (see the circle frame in Fig. 23B).
- FIG. 23C shows the locus of the emitted light captured by the imaging device (corresponding to the imaging device 12 of the processing system 10) for capturing the emitted light separately from the imaging device for capturing the sketchbook.
- FIG. 23D is a diagram in which the image of FIG. 23B is reconstructed by performing a deconvolution operation using the locus. From the image of FIG. 23D, it can be seen that the edges of the sketchbook are clearer than the image of FIG. 23B (see the circle frame of FIG. 23D). The higher the spatial resolution of the image that captures the emitted light, the higher the accuracy of the blur kernel, and the higher the accuracy of blur removal.
- the processing system 10 is used for motion capture.
- the target of motion capture is assumed to be organisms including people and microorganisms that perform random walks, but is not limited to these.
- the person when estimating the posture of a person by motion capture, the person may be irradiated with irradiation light and the emitted light may be used as a marker.
- the plurality of emitted light markers independent of each other are given, the plurality of emitted light may be distinguished by using the above-mentioned modulation method. Since the same method as the existing motion capture can be used for the processing after the emission light is detected, the description using the figure will be omitted.
- emitted light markers can be added even in minute regions that are unsuitable for physical markers or regions where a sufficient distance between markers cannot be secured, and high scalability is realized. be able to.
- markers used for motion capture generally have a three-dimensional shape, and movement may be restricted, such as the marker rubbing against the marker while the person is moving.
- movement may be restricted, such as the marker rubbing against the marker while the person is moving.
- the processing system there are no restrictions on movement. Since the emitted light used as a marker does not move away from the person and follows the movement without delay, it is possible to respond to a more dynamic movement. Further, according to the processing system 10, since the emitted light includes time information, there is a possibility that the attitude can be estimated with higher accuracy than that of a physical marker.
- the position and timing of applying the emitted light marker can be selected. Therefore, for example, in a situation where the person to be estimated and the spectator are in the same space, the posture can be estimated without impairing the appearance by adding the emitted light marker at a position and timing inconspicuous from the spectator.
- the positional relationship between the target person and the spectator may be measured in real time, and a emitted light marker may be added to a position invisible to the spectator.
- the processing system 10 is used for SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping).
- SLAM Simultaneous Localization and Mapping
- the processing unit 132 can create an environment map or estimate its own position based on the obtained information.
- the landmark or QR code registered trademark
- the processing system 10 for example, by irradiating point-shaped irradiation light, the emitted light can be accurately detected even if the viewpoints of photographing are different, and the measurement accuracy is improved.
- the processing system 10 since the emitted light can be used as a marker, the area that can be marked is expanded. Since it is possible to distinguish between a moving one and a stationary one in the surrounding environment, it is possible to give an emitted light marker to, for example, a regularly moving one in creating an environment map.
- the processing system 10 is used to measure the mechanical properties of the object.
- FIG. 24 is a diagram showing the overall configuration of the processing system according to the seventh embodiment.
- the processing system 10 imparts a emitted light marker to a predetermined position of the object 100.
- the object 100 to which the emitted light marker is attached is mounted on a shaking table 33 that vibrates in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG. 24, and vibrates together with the shaking table 33.
- the local response to vibration at a predetermined position of the object for example, stress distribution with respect to an external field, high-speed transient phenomenon when stress is applied, etc.
- the mechanical characteristics of the object 100 can be acquired, the relative posture of the object 100 with respect to the imaging device 12 can be estimated, and a feature map of the object 100 can be created. can do.
- the processing system 10 is used to determine the passage of the boundary line of the object.
- FIG. 25 is a diagram showing the overall configuration of the processing system according to the eighth embodiment.
- the irradiation device 11 can create a boundary line or a boundary surface by the irradiation light that separates at least two regions by irradiating the irradiation light linearly or in a plane along a certain straight line or plane.
- a boundary line due to irradiation light is provided at the entrance and exit of the box 40.
- the part 100B which is an example of the object, comes out of the box 40 and touches the boundary line, the emitted light is emitted from the touched portion. That is, the part 100B is automatically marked.
- the processing unit 132 determines whether or not the component 100B touches the boundary line, and determines which part of the component 100B crosses the boundary line. Can be done. Further, even after the part 100B is taken out of the box 40, it is possible to obtain the information that the part 100B is contained in the box 40. Therefore, for example, in an assembly factory, different parts having similar appearances can be distinguished. Can be done. It is also possible to mark the parts contained in the box 40 from the outside of the box 40.
- the function of the touch display can be imparted to the boundary surface. Since the emitted light marker is given to the finger or the pen, it is possible to determine the movement of the touched finger, the length of the touched time, the number of fingers touched, and the like.
- the emitted light marker can be automatically attached to a predetermined object with a relatively simple configuration of irradiating the irradiation light.
- the wavelength, intensity, period, etc. of the irradiation light may change continuously on the spatial axis.
- the processing system 10 is used to present the target point. Since the overall configuration in this embodiment can be inferred from FIG. 1, for example, the illustration is omitted.
- the target point can be assigned at high speed by setting the emitted light as the target point, and even if the object moves randomly or the object is deformed after the target point is assigned. , It is possible to follow the target point without shifting and present the target position.
- the marker In the case of a physical marker, the marker itself may get in the way during the sealing operation, whereas according to the processing system 10, there is no fear of it, and there is no trace of the target point for parts of various shapes. It is possible to give a target point without leaving.
- emitted light such as fluorescence or phosphorescence is emitted from the object 100
- photoluminescence in FIG. 26
- the present invention is not limited to these.
- it may be in a mode in which light is absorbed by light irradiation (light energy, photoexcitation) to the object 100, and emitted light (infrared rays) converted into heat energy (wavelength conversion) is emitted (FIG. 26, “). See "Thermorminescence").
- the emitted light (infrared rays) is emitted by the temperature rise phenomenon of the object 100, the emitted light is robustly emitted with respect to the appearance and shape of the object 100, as in the above-described embodiments and modifications. Markers can be added.
- infrared rays are emitted as emitted light.
- the surface of the object (here, black paper is assumed) 100 is instantly heated by using laser heating, and the surface of the object 100 is imaged by a thermo camera to obtain an emission light marker that does not need to be attached. To generate.
- FIG. 27 is a diagram showing a configuration of a main part of the processing system 10 according to the tenth embodiment.
- the control device 13 of the processing system 10 is not shown.
- the irradiation device 11 is, for example, a semiconductor visible light laser that irradiates a laser beam having a wavelength of 640 nm.
- the mirror 17 is, for example, a two-axis galvano mirror, and its operation is controlled by the control device 13.
- the control device 13 controls the mirror 17 to generate an emitted light marker having an arbitrary shape / pattern on the surface of the object 100.
- the image pickup apparatus 12 is composed of, for example, a thermo camera having high temperature resolution and high spatial resolution, and emits light markers generated on the surface of the object 100 (in other words, emitted light emitted from the surface of the object 100). To image.
- FIG. 28 is a diagram illustrating a state of temperature change when the object 100 is irradiated with a laser by changing the irradiation time in the operating environment of the processing system 10 shown in FIG. 27, and the vertical axis is the temperature and the horizontal axis is the horizontal axis. Indicates the elapsed time. As shown in FIG. 28, the longer the irradiation time, the longer the heat dissipation time, and the longer the time that can be detected as the emitted light marker. Since the longer the irradiation time, the higher the temperature, for example, the temperature exceeds the left axis in the figure at the irradiation time of 50 ms, but it is shown in an omitted range.
- a detectable threshold Tth is set as a emitted light marker based on temperature changes of heating and heat dissipation, and an emitted light marker is generated by irradiating a predetermined portion of the object 100 with a laser. After that, the laser is irradiated to another place until the temperature of the predetermined place reaches (decreases) the marker detection threshold value Tth. Then, when the temperature at the predetermined location reaches the marker detection threshold value Tth, the temperature required for detecting the emitted light marker can be maintained by returning to the predetermined location and irradiating again.
- Table 1 shows the relationship between the laser irradiation time ti and the heat dissipation time td in this experiment.
- Table 1 shows the relationship between the laser irradiation time ti and the heat dissipation time td in this experiment.
- the irradiation time ti 10 ms
- the object 100 is not limited as long as it absorbs the light of the irradiation light and converts the energy into, for example, thermal energy. Specifically, it is applicable not only to the black paper exemplified in the present embodiment (10th embodiment), but also to, for example, an acrylic plate, a black absorbent, and paper of various colors (chromatic color, achromatic color). Needless to say. Further, the wavelength of the semiconductor visible light laser, the irradiation time of the laser, and the like can be arbitrarily changed according to the desired drawing pattern, the type of the object 100, and the like.
- the processing system 10 may be used for various other purposes in addition to the above-described embodiment.
- the processing system 10 may be applied to an inspection system that inspects the external environment while moving at high speed with respect to the external environment, for example. Sensing of the external environment starting from a moving body is more efficient as the moving body moves at a higher speed. However, when the moving body moves at high speed, motion blur occurs, so it is necessary to compensate for the relative movement of the object with high accuracy.
- this processing system since the angular velocity of the object can be calculated, highly accurate and stable sensing of the external environment becomes possible. Specifically, for example, it can be used for inspection of infrastructure such as roads and trains, and line inspection involving movement such as factory lines. In this case, the inspection can be performed with higher efficiency than the conventional inspection system.
- the processing system 10 may be used for detecting an object under adverse lighting conditions, for example. For example, even in an environment where a strong spotlight hits and the image is overexposed and cannot be photographed with a normal imaging device, the object is irradiated with ultraviolet light as irradiation light, and imaging is performed using a filter that passes the wavelength of the emitted light. And the object can be detected. A specific object can be selectively visualized by time-modulating the irradiation light and thinning out a predetermined frame. As described in the tenth embodiment, the surface of the object may be instantaneously heated by using laser heating, and the surface of the object may be imaged by a thermo camera to selectively visualize the surface of the object.
- information can be selectively acquired and presented by each imaging device by performing imaging with a plurality of imaging devices through filters having different wavelength characteristics, and can be used for entertainment and information communication, for example. It becomes.
- the processing system 10 may be used, for example, for tracking a plurality of objects. For example, pedestrian tracking may be performed on a road where hundreds of people are walking. By irradiating the irradiation light so as to cover the floor surface and assigning an emission light marker to each person's foot, the emitted light can be continuously followed even while walking.

Description
Alper Yilmaz, Omar Javed, and Mubarak Shah,"Object Tracking: A Survey," ACM Computing Surveys, Vol.38, No.4, Article 13, (2006)
上記態様において、処理部は、処理システムの周辺環境にある対象物から検出された放出光に基づいてSLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)を行ってもよい。
照射装置11は、例えば、紫外線レーザや紫外LED(Light Emitting Diode)であってよい。
制御装置13は、演算部に相当するCPU(Central Processing Unit)20と、記憶部に相当するRAM(Random Access Memory)21及びROM(Read Only Memory)22と、通信部23と、入力部24と、表示部25と、を有する。
なお、照射光の動的な空間変調は、例えばDMD(Digital Mirror Device)やLCoS(Liquid Crystal on Silicon)等のデバイスを用いて実現してもよい。
第6実施形態では、処理システム10がSLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)に用いられる。
第6実施形態では、処理システム10がSLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)に用いられる。
