Definitions
- the present invention describes a mechanically actuated alarm system suitable for trucks with coupled containers.
- the system is especially suitable for land transport of maritime containers.
- alarm systems comprising a wirelessly connected transmitter and receiver.
- US2008252084 details an alarm system by breaking a wire in a container.
- EP1935689 describes a container mounted communication system that transmits door status information wirelessly to a control room.
- CN 108340874 describes an anti-theft system for trucks that contains an alarm, but the alarm is located in the underside of the truck cabin.
- the alarm detailed in this document comprises a vibration sensor in the door physically connected to an analog / digital module, the aforementioned system is not suitable for sea containers because the sensor is fixed on the door.
- the system described by CN 108340874 does not allow to warn if the load is being stolen when the truck is moving because the alarm is outside and the driver is not aware of it.
- the alarm since the alarm is on the underside of the truck, it can be easily deactivated.
- CN 108340874 does not detail a wireless connection between the sender and receiver. Since there is a physical connection between the vibration sensor and the analog / digital module, it is not possible to use the system described by CN 108340874 to a tractor unit coupled / uncoupled to a container.
- the problem solved by the invention is to prevent theft in containers, especially to avoid the collision of moving trucks.
- the solution found by the inventors is an alarm system comprising a wirelessly connected transmitter, a receiver and an alarm.
- the emitter is jointly attached to the outside of a container and the alarm is activated when the link is broken.
- the receiver is located and concealed in the tractor unit of a truck and the receiver is powered by the truck's battery.
- the alarm system described in the invention unlike CN 108340874, prevents theft of containers when the truck is running.
- CN 108340874 details that the alarm is on the underside of the cabin, therefore if the container is violated when the truck is running, the truck driver does not notice the theft.
- the alarm being outside, can be deactivated or stolen.
- the described alarm system allows the driver to warn of the theft in the containers when the truck is moving because the alarm is located inside the cab of the truck.
- the receiver and the alarm are located inside the platform of the tractor unit, specifically hidden in the battery compartment. Since the container with its trailer (not shown in the figures) rests on the platform of the tractor unit, the alarm is not seen by thieves, nor can it be deactivated.
- the means for attaching the emitter to the container are temporary attachment means, more preferably magnetic means or magnets. In this way, it is a removable alarm system appropriate for maritime containers, that is, when the container is uncoupled from the tractor unit and is shipped for maritime transport, the emitter is removed from the container and attached to another container. to start a new road transport.

- Container trucks comprise a tractor head (11) where the container (3) is coupled by means of a platform (12).
- the tractor head (11) has a cabin (5) where the driver is.
- the rear part of the tractor head (11) has a platform (12), which contains a compartment (not shown in the figures) where the battery (6) is housed.
- the container (3) rests and on the platform (12) ( Figures 1, 2).
- the alarm system comprises a transmitter (1), a receiver (2), connected wirelessly, and an alarm (4).
- the emitter (1) is integrally connected to the outside of a container (3) and the alarm (4) is activated when the connection is broken.
- the receiver (2) is located inside the tractor head (11) of the truck.
- the receiver (2) and alarm (4) are powered by the truck's battery (6).
- the receiver (2) is permanently installed inside the tractor unit (11) and the alarm (4) is triggered when the transmitter (1) is damaged, removed or sabotaged.
- the alarms (4) can be audible, visual, by vibration or telematic.
- the emitter (1) is integrally connected to the container (3) by means known to those skilled in the art, such as suction cups, screws, threads, in a preferred way the emitter (1) is connected to the container (3) by means temporary fixing elements such as magnets (10) and / or a tensioned cable (7).
- the cable (7) is wound on the locks (9) of the container.
- the emitter (1) contains means to activate the alarm (4), in a preferred way the emitter (2) contains pressure sensors (8) that activate the alarm (4) when the union of the emitter (1) and container is broken (3).
- the pressure sensors (8) allow to activate the alarm when the container (3) is hit or displaced.
- the emitter (1) and receiver (2) are connected wirelessly.
- the person skilled in the art can choose the frequency of work and the scope of the connection. In a preferred mode the working frequency is 430 MHz with a range of 50 meters.
- the receiver is located inside the cabin (5).
- the container (3) is coupled to the platform, located at the rear of the tractor head (11) of the truck.
- the interior of the cab (5) of the truck contains the receiver (2) and the alarm (4), which are powered by the 12 V truck battery (6), through the 12V outlet located on the dashboard. the cab (5) of the truck, where the lighter is located, therefore the alarm (4) and the receiver (2) are always connected.
- the alarm (4) is hidden inside the cabin (5).
- the alarm (4) can be an alarm, audible, visual, by vibration or telematics.
- the advantage of the visual alarm is that it can be seen by the driver.
- Vibration alarms are located, preferably in the driver's seat, in this way the driver warns of theft when the truck is running and thieves do not notice the presence of the alarm.
- telematic alarms emit a radio telephone signal to a remote device.
- the receiver is located inside the tractor unit platform. Figure 4.
- the receiver (2) and the alarm (4) are located in the battery compartment (not shown in the figures), located on the platform (12) of the tractor unit (11).
- the receiver (2) and the alarm are connected directly to the battery terminals (6) of the truck.
- the alarm (4) is a sound or light alarm with a signal to a remote device.
- the advantage of this embodiment is that the alarm cannot be deactivated since it is hidden and is inaccessible because it is below the container (3). The alarm can be warned when the driver is sleeping outside the truck in the rest areas.
- the receiver (2) and the alarm (4) are located inside the cabin (5) and on the platform (12) of the tractor cabin (11).
- the emitter (1) comprises a pressure sensor (8) that is integrally attached to the container (3) by means of a magnet (10).
- the transmitter has a rechargeable battery through a USB connector.
- the emitter (1) has an electric cable (7) that is wound on the bolts (9) of the container (3).
- the wire (7) creates a closed circuit that when cut activates the alarm (4).
- Figure 5 The wire (7) creates a closed circuit that when cut activates the alarm (4).
- the emitter (1) and the receiver (2) are connected wirelessly at a frequency of 430 MHz with a range of 50 meters. However, the person skilled in the art could choose another frequency.
- the cable (7) breaks or when the container (3) is violently struck, the alarm (4) will be activated.
- the system prevents theft of goods from the container (3) during transport or during parking.
- the system is suitable for maritime containers, since when the container is shipped the emitter is removed from the container and fixed in another container.
