Abstract

La présente invention concerne des matériaux, des structures et des méthodes utilisés en traumatologie. Plus particulièrement, la présente invention concerne des structures de support temporaire et un moyen de fixation facilitant l'ostéosynthèse en cas de fracture osseuse, et des matériaux qui peuvent être ajustés dans le corps par l'application d'une énergie externe. Le matériau au moins partiellement ferromagnétique est solide à la température du corps des mammifères et peut être moulé et/ou plié in vivo lorsqu'il est chauffé à une température supérieure à la température du corps. La chaleur est appliquée par une énergie externe telle qu'un chauffage par induction. Un moyen de fixation temporaire biocompatible constitué du matériau au moins partiellement ferromagnétique qui est fixé à un os dans un organisme vivant. Le moyen de fixation peut être moulé in vivo lorsqu'il est chauffé. L'invention concerne aussi une structure de support temporaire biocompatible constituée du matériau au moins partiellement ferromagnétique qui est fixé à un os dans un organisme vivant. La structure de support peut être pliée in vivo lorsqu'elle est chauffée.
